Speaker 1 (00:00):
Previously on Your Morning Show with Michael dil Choono.

Speaker 2 (00:04):
There is no bigger story than Donald Trump beginning to
lay out the vision of the riviera of the Middle East,
US ownership of the Gaza Strip that was revealed in
the news conference with bbnetya who at the White House
and our very own John Decker was there. I know
because I saw him several times as I was watching
Good Morning John.

Speaker 3 (00:24):
Hey, good morning to you, Michael. Hope you're doing well today.

Speaker 2 (00:27):
I'm doing great. Okay, Well, that was one out of
the blue. I wasn't expecting. You know, reaction is starting
to come in from around the world. What was the
reaction in the room when Donald Trump brought up the
possibilities of US ownership of the Gaza Strip And how
does all of this layou play out and where does

(00:47):
it go from here?

Speaker 3 (00:49):
Well, I think it's fair to say that jaws dropped.
Trump said that. I think that's a pretty accurate read
on the room. I heard some murmurings around me in
the seat that I was in, not far from where
President Trump was talking when he said that. So we'll
have to see. You know, this is the latest of

(01:09):
President Trump's territorial ambitions. He's talked about Canada as a
fifty first date. He's spoken about buying Greenland, he's talking
about getting back the Panama Canal. And now this, which
is ownership of the Gaza Strip. Had not heard that
one before. Although it's not a new idea. The idea

(01:30):
you look it up first post in May of last
year by a person named Jared Kushner. Jared Kushner, who
of course is President Trump's son in law, who's now
involved in the real estate business in a big way,
and would love to develop all of that land that's
on the Mediterranean that's in Gaza.

Speaker 2 (01:50):
I do want to do something that's going to make
you mad and say, I mean, first of all, he's
a Supreme Court bar attorney. He's been a White House
correspondent for eight presidents, all right, and I love them
so like in real life, this is going on, and
I'll text him, I'll go, what do you make of
the And he always respond to saying, way, I just
report the news. I mean, you're never even there for

(02:10):
a friend, all right. So here were my reactions. You know,
you bring up that laundry list. As you can see,
a deal has already been made in Panama concerning China,
Canada has already got a thirty day pause, one point
three billion headed to the border with a fentanyl Czar
Mexico thirty day pause, ten thousand troops coming to the border.

(02:32):
I don't think it was ever about Canada being the
fifty first state as much as Donald Trump using it
and negotiating. So that makes me suspicious. Could this be
something like that? But I will say this, John, you
can make fun of it all you want, but the
reality is, if you look any of the footage, how
can these Palestinians return to rubble and have any kind
of life? And what breaks this fifty year cycle? So

(02:53):
make fun of the idea, and it was out of
the blue, But does anybody have a better idea?

Speaker 3 (02:58):
Well, I have heard better ideas, and that is the
Arab countries in the region, which have a lot of
money developing Gaza and rebuilding Gaza. That's what I've heard about.
And as it relates to reaction, not a good reaction
from the leaders of Jordan, from Egypt, from Saudi Arabia.
I haven't heard specifically anecdotal reaction from Palestinians that now

(03:23):
live in Gaza, but I'm sure they're not excited about
the prospect of being kicked out of their home. Two
million Gozins live there, and they would be moved out indefinitely,
and no talk of what the international community has called
for and what former presidents, including at one point President Trump,

(03:44):
are called for, which is a two state solution, a
free Palestinian state and autonomous Palestinian state side by side
with the state of Israel. That's not happening under Donald
Trump's vision. I think that's one of the reasons why
you saw Jamin Nett Yahoo. He is really Prime Minister,
really in a good place yesterday. You know, you could

(04:04):
tell by his body language he really likes the fact
that Donald Trump is president rather than his predecessor Joe Biden.

Speaker 2 (04:10):
Yeah, there was no question about that. Game credit for
the cease fire deal. All right, Well, we'll see where
it goes. I think the President made it clear in
a Q and a response that the Palestinians, along with
the people of the world, would all live there in
a safe place with great jobs and beautiful, beautiful buildings
and restaurants. It was bizarre. There doesn't seem to be

(04:31):
any reaction or support. I don't know that it goes anywhere,
but time will tell. And you were there, John Decker,
thanks for joining us.

Speaker 1 (04:38):
Miss a little, miss a lot, miss a lot, and
we'll miss you. It's your morning show with Michael del
