Speaker 1 (00:00):
Previously on your Morning show with Michael dil Choo.
Speaker 2 (00:04):
If waffle house is clean, I don't have anything to
do with it.
Speaker 3 (00:07):
If it's the more filthy it is, the more I
assure you that's a good waffle.
Speaker 2 (00:11):
The more the silver war sticks to the countertop. Boy,
for I was just picturing you, y'all.
Speaker 3 (00:16):
Bet you were a Denny's guy in your day.
Speaker 2 (00:20):
I like the mom and pop places versus the chains.
Speaker 3 (00:23):
Yeah, me too. There's nothing like we had. We had
some of the greatest parties. I'm sorry I said you
didn't have me thinking about restaurants. I was at a
Hooters in Tokyo, Japan. Uh And honestly that was false advertising.
But anyway, Oh, that's the kind of stuff that can
(00:44):
end a career right there, I'll tell you. No, let's
talk about the what is the future of USA and
how much influence does Elon muskv. I mean, he's appointed
to look at this stuff and make recommendations.
Speaker 2 (01:00):
This will ultimately.
Speaker 3 (01:02):
Doesn't the process ultimately come back to Congress as to
what's approved and not approved in budgeting.
Speaker 4 (01:07):
Well that's what you'd think. But now we've just had
all the employees were told that they're essentially losing their
jobs Friday night at midnight, and anyone deployed overseas has
got to get back to the US immediately. So there
are just lots of questions, like, you know, can the
White House even do this? And I think the bigger
question with must was his role in the Treasury Department
(01:27):
and sending in the young tech guys with hard drives
was something that got a lot of people concerned.
Speaker 2 (01:34):
We'll see what ends up coming of.
Speaker 4 (01:36):
That, but you know, his role is a little bit murky,
and I think that's by definition.
Speaker 2 (01:42):
Didn't I could? And again, I've been in a sea
of things.
Speaker 3 (01:45):
That's so much has gone on in two weeks, you know,
and then I put everything on hold and put my
full focus on both crashes. But didn't Donald Trump come
out late last week or over the weekend or early
this week was some kind of a statement about the
level of control Elon Musk has, but that obviously didn't
(02:07):
solve anything for anybody.
Speaker 4 (02:08):
That was Yeah, he's done a couple of statements. Well,
he made him a special government employee, and there are
rules on that you can only work like one hundred
and sixty days a year or whatever it is. But
you know, essentially they don't want to bring him in
because I don't think Musk wants to have to follow
all the ethics rules and disclosures that would come along
with having that kind of job, or the FBI background
(02:30):
check that goes along with it, because don't forget, Musk
is an international businessman. He does an awful lot of
business in China and an awful lot of business with Russia,
and you know, it does put him in a strange
position then when he has such access to government information
and government data, especially.
Speaker 3 (02:48):
From Treasury, and it hasn't I guess I'm making an
opinion here and I should do that with a newsperson.
But hasn't it actually become more of an issue with
it being just him? Now remember it was originally gonna
be him if a Ramaswami had it been a team
in charge of this. But the minute it became him alone,
it just it just gives the opportunity to now to
(03:09):
create the new books.
Speaker 2 (03:10):
And then it.
Speaker 4 (03:11):
Stirs the pot when he's on X saying that Usai
D is evil, and you know, then he starts doing
other you know when so he sort of is his
own worst enemy in that regard. Rather than saying, here's
my clear and calculated review of all of USAID's pending,
and we're going to methodically go through ABC and D.
And this is where I think that's not what he's doing. Instead,
(03:31):
it's on X going look at this evil thing and
it's got to shut it down now and all that
kind of stuff.
Speaker 3 (03:36):
And now it's interesting, how do the Democrats are the
left in general fight against this because you can't stand outside,
have a.
Speaker 2 (03:42):
Protest, keep bar waste.
Speaker 3 (03:44):
So they're clearly trying to, you know, message the narrative
to focus on Elon Musk and his power and control.
That seems to be the strategy. Where does it go
from here calling him President Musk and stuff. Yeah, there's
not much they can do, you know.
Speaker 4 (03:59):
They can try to whole up some nominations and stuff,
but it doesn't seem like they're going to get very
far because the Republicans are running the table.
Speaker 2 (04:07):
Roy and Neil. Great report because always we'll talk again, Manyama.
Speaker 1 (04:10):
Miss a little, miss a lot, miss a lot, and
we'll miss you. It's your morning show with Michael del
