Speaker 3 (00:21):
I'm here, Mike. You know night, Yeah, yeah, I want
to speak.

Speaker 4 (00:25):
Put that off, starting your morning off right. A new
way of talk, a new way of understanding because we're
in this together.

Speaker 3 (00:37):
This is your.

Speaker 4 (00:39):
Morning Show with Michael O'Dell.

Speaker 3 (00:41):
Chorna seven minutes after the hour.

Speaker 2 (00:43):
Thanks for waking up with your morning show.

Speaker 3 (00:45):
It belongs to you. We're all here to serve you.
I'm Michael del Jorno. Jeffrey's got control of the board
over there, or so we think. Red.

Speaker 2 (00:52):
What's red wearing red today? Nope?

Speaker 3 (00:55):
Nope, Red and blue today. Keeping an eye on the content.
Southern California, Edison aglaging videos that suggest there's a possible
link between their equipment and the devastating eat and fire
in the Los Angeles area. President Trump to visit with
the Panamanian President. Today, NCAA officially banning transgender athletes from
women's college sports, and they call it the greatest spectacle

(01:16):
in sports. I think the Super Bowl still reigns over
everything else. Got the Eagles and the Chiefs. The Chiefs
are only a one and a half point favorite. The
over and under is forty nine. I know I like
the over. I kind of leaned towards the Eagles, but
that's the obvious stuff. Believe it or not. You can

(01:38):
bet on anything from how many cameos Taylor Swift is
going to get, by the way, I wonder how that works.
Let's ask Grey O'Neil are your morning show correspondent. Is
it an over under on Taylor Swift shots?

Speaker 5 (01:49):
Uh?

Speaker 3 (01:49):
Yeah, they think the.

Speaker 2 (01:50):
Number is six if you want to go on that one.
The number.

Speaker 3 (01:53):
See that could so easily in the end of the game.
That could be so easily fixed.

Speaker 6 (01:57):
Right.

Speaker 7 (01:58):
Well, so's another bet about how long will the national
anthem be? You know, the over under is one hundred
and twenty point five seconds, which is the John Baptiste average. Yeah,
but it would be It would be awesome if he
started singing and hit a start on his timer on
his phone.

Speaker 2 (02:15):
Well, I mean think about that. He could certainly make
the bet.

Speaker 3 (02:18):
A director could easily make the bet and make sure
Taylor Swift can said if it is six, they're going
to show Taylor Swift more than six times that one?

Speaker 7 (02:27):
Okay, Well, I mean this is a lot, and it's
going to depend on what Travis Kelsey does.

Speaker 3 (02:33):
Yeah, I mean, sixtill show something that could hurt, right,
I mean a touchdown is for sure, that's one, all right?

Speaker 7 (02:40):
Which comes first? A touchdown or Taylor Swift live shot?
I'm gonna go a touchdown? Really, give me some other one.
These are actually.

Speaker 3 (02:51):
I'm gambling, but you're sucking for I'm not all will
the colorificatory? Couldn't that be Prenlie.

Speaker 2 (03:01):
Somebody? Well, maybe it's different for either team? All right?
And then.

Speaker 7 (03:07):
Though, what if it's Gatorade or Power Aid? Do we
have to make that breakdown?

Speaker 2 (03:11):
And yeah?

Speaker 7 (03:13):
And then you know one side and they have one
color one side the other, and then how many what's
another one?

Speaker 2 (03:17):
How many times?

Speaker 8 (03:18):
No?

Speaker 2 (03:19):
Let's see.

Speaker 7 (03:19):
Oh, will Taylor appear with Kendrick Lamarin for the halftime
show because he actually rapped on her Bad Blood song?

Speaker 2 (03:26):
Yeah, I think that's coming, don't you.

Speaker 3 (03:29):
No, you don't.

Speaker 2 (03:31):
You don't think he wants to show on the stage
at all.

Speaker 7 (03:34):
Well, he's already got Scissor going on their stage with him,
So I don't that's gonna be it?

Speaker 3 (03:37):
Yeah, that would free I mean in all, honestly, I
can't stand and I'm so sick of both of them.
I'm sick of. Oh, actually I can't say I'm sick
of the one brother. The other brother not Travis uh Jason.
I dig him. I think he's a real talent. The
something lovable about him. He's versatile. You can put him
in a funny commercial. He can do real x's and
o's analysis, he can be fun with the fan. I

(03:59):
think he's a real tail. The other two I'm sick of.
But I gotta tell you, if Taylor Swift popped on
stage and made an appearance that place with go Nuts,
it's all anybody be talking about that.

Speaker 7 (04:08):
And now, and really we should add who will be
getting more screen time, Taylor Swift or Donald Trump.

Speaker 2 (04:16):
Oh, Taylor Swift. That wouldn't be an easy one for me.

Speaker 3 (04:19):
Coin toss is always a traditional bet, the over and
the under the score.

Speaker 2 (04:24):
The you know will it be. Will the total score
be an odd or an even number score? At the
half time? Will there be a doink? You know?

Speaker 3 (04:32):
Is that a bet dot?

Speaker 7 (04:33):
What do you get from Well, it's just a yes
or no up or down? You know, it's how you
want to do. All these things you usually have odds
attached to them. Yeah, yeah, some are Yeah. What's the
what will be the length of the game's longest touchdown?
Over forty point five yards or under forty.

Speaker 3 (04:48):
Point It's going to be over forty five plus yards
and it's gonna be sa Quon Barker.

Speaker 2 (04:52):
He's going to break one.

Speaker 3 (04:53):
There's gonna be one rope, especially if they get hurt
involved in running the football as well with read option,
he'll break one.

Speaker 7 (05:00):
And how many total touchdowns? It's five and a half
over or under over?

Speaker 6 (05:05):
Oh?

Speaker 3 (05:05):
You know what we should do? Real quick? How much
time you got to go in one minute? Right?

Speaker 9 (05:08):
I have?

Speaker 3 (05:08):
Yep?

Speaker 2 (05:09):
All right, well then you need to go.

Speaker 3 (05:10):
We should have done this because I wanted to see
if I think I'm going to go about six out
of seven of the ones we did those.

Speaker 7 (05:16):
Are yeah, those are the bets.

Speaker 3 (05:20):
We'll see how we did on Monday. That's Rory O'Neil
with all of the degenerate crazy bets you can make
in the Super Bowl. Now, Kurt Kretschmar is going to
be joining us from New Orleans in about thirty minutes.
It's a big game and it's a big security plan.
I mean that town is on lockdown, probably the way

(05:40):
it should. I mean, when you think of New Year's Eve,
New York is still tops, right, and I think, you know, internationally,
you throw a pair of some other places, but New
York's is still tops. Right after New York, now, I
believe is New Orleans and then Nashville. I mean, they
should have been better planned for security on New Year's Eve,
but they're not going to make the mistake twice. The

(06:01):
city is in complete lockdown. We'll go over security with Kurt,
who's on the scene for Super Bowl fifty nine coming
this weekend. We have any talkbacks? Why don't we make
our talkbacks today? Who do you like? Who do you
think is going to win? The Eagles are the chiefs.
Let's see how our audience does and we'll keep track
of them. Go to the iHeartRadio app. You'll see a

(06:22):
little microphone. Press it. It'll count you down three to
two one. Let us know who you like that who
you're rooting for well, or maybe do both. I am
so and so I'm rooting for. I predict, and then
tell us who you think's going to win. We'll keep
a track of asking. This is one of my favorite
stories of the day, and I have just enough time
to do it. I have often talked about the death
of journalism because I think that happened. I mean, bias journalism,

(06:46):
losing credibility with me happened a long time ago. But
the public death of journalism, from the journalists perspective and
from the perspective of the American people viewing journalism, died
in twenty s sixteen. I said, the most significant thing
that happened to twenty sixteen was not Donald Trump upsetting
Hillary Clinton in the president's election. It was how you

(07:08):
saw everybody on late night, everybody on major national news networks,
cable news networks, just letting their guard down and going
all out. Hollywood going out all out. I mean, why
is an actor telling you Donald Trump has to be stopped,
He's got to be stopped. I mean, they didn't care.

(07:29):
There was no filter anymore. There was no even attempt
at an illusion. So I always call it the death
of journalism. Now we're beyond death of journalism. It's in
decomposition stage. But this headline blew me away, gave me
a moment to pause. So this is Rasmussen, the most
accurate and polling and it asked people if the media

(07:50):
is an enemy of the people. I mean, that's a
step right from death of journalism to enemy of the state.
And remember when we do polls, we always talk about
words matter, Timing matters. I said yesterday the biggest scandal
in broadcast journalism history was revealed sixty minutes editing forty

(08:12):
of sixty minutes of their interview with Kamala Harris. And
it was more than just editing. It was recreating and
manufacturing for the purposes of trying to get her elected.
That's death of journalism. But stunts like that, staging interviews,
manipulating the content. Six years after he first said it,

(08:37):
most voters still agree with Donald Trump's harshest condemnation of
the news media. The latest Rasmussen report shows fifty four
percent of likely US voters agree the media is truly
an enemy of the people. You know, we do different
professions all the time in polling, and you know, people

(08:57):
don't have a lot of respect for members of Congress,
had very little respect for lawyers, irs agents. This is
as low as a gift. This is beyond a negative perception.
This is fifty A majority of the American people find
the median enemy of the state. How good. Let me
do it from a different perspective, so you can really
soak in the magnitude of this. How good a news

(09:19):
is this for a Joe Rogan, A Meghan Kelly at
Tucker Carlson. Who are some other ones that I always
leave out? I got a critical email saying, why don't
you ever say this one or that one?

Speaker 2 (09:38):
This one brings third in podcast?

Speaker 10 (09:40):
Now?

Speaker 3 (09:40):
Well, I mean it's the podcast section. There's some really
biggies that I'm leaving up. But I'm just saying, how
good a news is that for them? I mean, never
mind that they pulled up. Glenn Beck did it first,
quite frankly, and he was ahead of his time. Hey,
I really don't need it. I can just do this.
But now, now, if you were a person of integrity,

(10:03):
if you were a person of credibility, you should get
off these networks a because they're not going to be
able to afford you very long. No one's watching and
no one's advertising.

Speaker 2 (10:11):
But B.

Speaker 3 (10:15):
You're trying to do good work. You're trying to reveal
truth on a place where most Americans fifty four percent
think is truly an enemy of the people. Or let
me worry it more directly, Jesse Waters, who's one of
the only ones I really have any use for, Get
the hell off Fox, immediately get off.

Speaker 11 (10:37):
Yeah, geez damn media hit get out of it while
you still can't stifled.

Speaker 3 (10:43):
Forty one percent disagree, but fifty four percent think the
media has become truly an enemy.

Speaker 2 (10:47):
Of the people.

Speaker 3 (10:53):
And of that fifty four, twenty eight percent strongly agree. Now,
I don't know if you're calling it death a journalism.
Don't know what you're calling it. I said after COVID,
it's going to be difficult for the CDC to move forward.

(11:13):
It has no credibility, no trust. I already didn't trust
certain presidents, already didn't trust certain Congresses.

Speaker 2 (11:21):
But now I can't trust the CDC. I never trusted
the World Health Organization. Don't even get be started at USA, which.

Speaker 3 (11:30):
By the way, r what is the ruling on that
you really should say USAID, because it really isn't about USAID.
It's an acronym that I'm a stickler for that, and
a lot of people are saying US eight. I think
they're just trying to be quick, But you really should
say USAID.

Speaker 2 (11:45):
Yeah, you agree.

Speaker 3 (11:47):
I want to see if I's being I'm getting kind
of very uh particular in my older age, aren't.

Speaker 2 (11:51):
I kind of pushy?

Speaker 3 (11:54):
Which, by the way, the Trump administration cut USAID, which
is the United States Agency for International Development, And as
you look at line by line, million by billion, what
they're calling international development, you could see it doesn't really
quite match its name. But I mean, the CDC has

(12:15):
no no credibility.

Speaker 2 (12:17):
In my mind, I.

Speaker 3 (12:18):
Once said to David, they ought to just dissolve it
and create a new one. At least I can give
that a shot. Same for the World Health Organization. Well,
guess what looks like media is in that position. And
we could talk for hours about technology shifts, but I
got news for you. Even when television came And by

(12:40):
the way, this came up in one of David's Christmas
in America's I didn't even know this. You know, we
had television technology long before we had television, it just
went with radio instead.

Speaker 2 (12:50):
But I digress.

Speaker 3 (12:52):
So even though you could have made the case, well
who wants.

Speaker 2 (12:55):
To be on the radio anymore? We got television now.

Speaker 3 (12:57):
And that was true for the Bob Hopes, for the
you know all the Jack Benny, you know, so many
that were greats on radio moved to television. But radio
didn't go away and it became something else. So we've
had major transfers of technology before.

Speaker 2 (13:19):
Now.

Speaker 3 (13:19):
Obviously it was world changing when everything went to the
phone and everything went digital. And podcasts are here and
they're by the millions. I don't know you picked the
ones you listened to, but for maybe twenty to fifty
they're really significant an impact. There's a big mistake in
the presidential election, and not to be on Joe Rogan,

(13:41):
that was insanity. You're on these cable networks with one
hundred thousand viewers, Joe, we're going well in the end
with Donald Trump ended up being over sixty million. That
doesn't mean they have to necessarily die, but television news
it will die because fifty four percent of the America
people think you're an enemy of this tape for.

Speaker 4 (14:01):
Crying it's your morning show. With Michael Del Choano.

Speaker 3 (14:08):
I asked you about the Super Bowl. Where your heads
are at. I think we've got some responses. What are
you feeling your morning show audience game?

Speaker 6 (14:14):
When the Chiefs win, Kelsey's gonna drop to one knee
and still the whole show and proposed to Taylor Swift.
That's my prediction, Michael. Big John has to disagree with
you on this one. It's the Birds twenty six, Chiefs
twenty three that does cover the over. As much as
I can't stand the Birds, they take this one.

Speaker 12 (14:37):
Hey, pizza man, I'm not watching the Super Bowl. I
have no interest. NFL put the thumbs in the scale.
I'm over it. Predicting the lowest ratings since two thousand
and seven.

Speaker 3 (14:48):
Well, first, it's pizza boy, but thank you for making
me a man. I don't know if I even like
being pizza boy, to be honest with you. Secondly, no,
I don't think so. Not with the Chiefs going for
a historic three peat, Eagles going for the revenge, and unfortunately,
what Taylor Swift does bring to non football audience, I

(15:09):
suspect just the opposite will be one of the highest.
But I do agree with you. They've been putting their
gaming is destroying all sport. But certainly it has been
obvious to everyone that something's up in the NFL. Boy,
I hope that's not the case for the Super Bowl.
We do have time. Let's get in Joseph real quick

(15:30):
if we can, before the.

Speaker 8 (15:31):
Eight from Arizona and San. I want you to remember
one thing when Nancy Pelosi came out, if she explained
what a spear campaign would look like and how it
would be dead. And then you look at what exactly
Donald Trump did from twenty sixteen till now about the
media and the messaging and letting everyone know who the

(15:52):
true enemy of the state is. Trump's genius.

Speaker 3 (15:55):
Well, you don't get the transformer without the disrupt during
the first term, you nailed it. You're our caller of
the day.

Speaker 2 (16:05):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (16:07):
The fact that fifty four percent of America thinks the
mainstream media is an enemy of the people, that's just
another Donald Trump victory.

Speaker 11 (16:15):
This is James from Greenwood, South Carolina, and my morning
show is your Morning Show with Michael Dojorno.

Speaker 3 (16:28):
Hi.

Speaker 1 (16:28):
I'm Michael. I'd love to have you listen to your
morning show live.

Speaker 3 (16:31):
Every day.

Speaker 1 (16:31):
We're heard on great stations like News Talk five point
fifty k f YI and Phoenix News Radio, eleven ninety
k e X in Portland and ten ninety The Patriot
in c app Make us a part of your morning routine.
We'd love to have you listen live, but in the meantime,
enjoy the podcast.

Speaker 2 (16:46):
I'm asking a lot of you to make your Super
Bowl predictions.

Speaker 3 (16:48):
We just talked about all the crazy bets with Roy O'Neil,
did some exes and o's with Chris Meyer in the
first hour, and I got this in the Michael di
at iHeartMedia dot Com email section. I really enjoyed your
interview with Chris Myers, and I'm proud to share membership
in the birth class of nineteen fifty nine. We're old

(17:11):
enough to remember a simpler time and now we have
enough wisdom to contribute to society. Chris is just one
of the most polished, class play by clip play guys
in football. Fox of course will be doing the Super
Bowl Eagles and the Chiefs. Kurt krushmar is in New Orleans.
It's a big game and that takes big security, especially
after New Year's According to my brother who lives in

(17:33):
New Orleans, this is going to be completely different. He says,
this city is locked down. Walk us through some of
the things you're seeing, Kurt.

Speaker 13 (17:41):
I've been to the last fifteen Super Bowls except for
one of the COVID years, and I've never felt more safe.

Speaker 3 (17:49):
Start with the hotel, there's.

Speaker 13 (17:52):
Guards throughout checking IDs, and I go outside, look down
the main drag in where or I am downtown and
they have National Guard in fatigues. They have State troopers,
they have.

Speaker 10 (18:06):
Police cars, and they have their UH off.

Speaker 13 (18:10):
Road vehicles part almost on every corner and randomly hear
you hear sirens and then you see lights and you think, oh,
there's been a car accident or somebody got busted. No,
they're just telling people not to screw around, right, So
they've done a wonderful job. And all the barricades that
were missing when that incident happened in January, those are

(18:34):
all up. On Monday night, when I went to the
Superdome for opening night, I mean it was like Fort Knox.

Speaker 3 (18:41):
Well, you know, the President's going to be there, so
I feel good about that. I know American citizens are
going to be there, so I feel really good about that.
And then you know, ultimately, if there's one Stain and
I grew up there, so I have I can say this.

Speaker 2 (18:53):
We were talking last half hour, Kurt.

Speaker 3 (18:55):
New York Times Square is still the number one place
for New Year's Eve, but New Orleans is second, in
Nashville's third. And you know, talking about those barricades in
the French Quarter. They were taken down and now they're
being put back up. So you know this, what this
proves is this city can make itself safe for the
world if it plans to and does so. It shows

(19:18):
not to on New Year's it's choosing to do so
during the Super Bowl. And I'm happy for the latter,
and I hope next New Year's is much different completely
as well. I mean, that was just not an event
to overlook. You're the number two attraction for New Year's Eve,
it should have been better prepared for. Well, that's good
because that allows people to relax and have fun.

Speaker 13 (19:38):
Right of course, you would think they would have treated
the Sugar Bowl. It's like a dry run to the
Super Bowl.

Speaker 3 (19:45):
And but no.

Speaker 13 (19:46):
But you know, you know what you talked about, Department
of Homeland Security. They have floodlights on almost every exit.

Speaker 10 (19:53):
Because I guess there's been a lot.

Speaker 13 (19:55):
Of you know off off the Mean Expressway. Guess there's
been a lot of crime there and so big floodlights
with the logo for that department, and so that's why
they didn't forget anything for this.

Speaker 2 (20:13):
Well, that's all great news. And then we got the matchup.

Speaker 3 (20:17):
You know, if I do, if I sit here with
the roster sheet and make some basic assumptions about game planning,
I can't come up with a scenario where the Eagles
don't win this game and control the ball, long drives, scoring,
get some pressure on Mahome. But there's just something in
the back of your head. I said this with Chris Myers.

(20:38):
This is the most unimpressive I've seen the Chiefs be.
And what makes it so impressive is how they just
keep winning unimpressively fifteen and two. I really thought the
Ravens would take them down and they didn't. I really
feel like the Eagles are going to take them down.
But something in the back of your head says, not
so fast. It's Andy Reid, it's my home, it's the Chiefs.

(21:00):
What do you think is coming.

Speaker 10 (21:02):
I wouldn't bet against the Chiefs, but.

Speaker 13 (21:06):
Look back at the Rams game and Sequan Berkley had
those long runs and early in the game, middle of
the game. Then that last one was kind of destroyed,
that broke the camel's back.

Speaker 10 (21:18):
So that's what you're kind of looking for, is.

Speaker 13 (21:21):
That that pressuring Eagles defense in Sequon Barkley with those
long runs, then they might have a chance. I think
we're going to see a real close one that goes
down to the end.

Speaker 3 (21:30):
Yeah, And I think I think it should be Hurts
running more than throwing along with Saquon.

Speaker 2 (21:36):
And you know, Saquon was always great, great at Penn State.

Speaker 3 (21:38):
He was great with the Giants, had some injury issues,
but I've never seen him run like this, and there
is no game too big for him. And I actually
think he'll break a fifty plus yarder, I really do.
And and I think they are going to chew up
a lot of clock in doing so. We saw this
with the Saints when they won their Super Bowl. They
kept Peyton Manning off the field and clock time for

(22:00):
two hours, you know, with the on side kick in
the long halftime. So I think that's the game plan
and the recipe for the Eagles. But I'm with you.
I like a high scoring game, and I like the Chiefs.
I don't know that. You know, Travis Kelsey's going to
get on one knee and proposed to Taylor Swift, although
if he ever was going to those two publicity, you

(22:23):
know what, they would do it that way. All right, Kurt,
I am so thrilled that you know, we had one
assignment for you is to check out the security and
it's like security like you've never seen before.

Speaker 2 (22:32):
That makes my heart very very happy for sure.

Speaker 3 (22:36):
All right, Kurt, great reporting our national correspondent, Kurt Kushmer
in New Orleans. We'll give you you know, we've had
the crazy bets with Rory, We've had the x's and
o's with Chris Myers.

Speaker 2 (22:47):
Now we get the security with Kurt.

Speaker 3 (22:49):
We'll wrap things up in our Super Bowl preview with
my big brother Vic, who is going to be there
for the big breakfast tomorrow. You know everybody knows now
the Walter Payton Award for Man of the Year. There's
an athlete an action breakfast tomorrow and an athlete's an
Action Athlete of the Year that Bart star awarded every
year at Super Bowls. Bart's no longer with us, but
that award ceremony will take place. We'll talk about past

(23:11):
winners with my brother as well. All right or forty
two minutes, I should say after the hour and if.

Speaker 2 (23:17):
You're just waking.

Speaker 3 (23:18):
Out, this will get some people scared. Elon Musk says
the Department of Government Efficiency has its eye on the
air traffic control system too.

Speaker 2 (23:29):
Democrats say that's a scary suggestion.

Speaker 14 (23:32):
Elon Musk crashes and breaks everything he buys.

Speaker 9 (23:36):
We cannot allow him to crash and break our air
traffic control system.

Speaker 11 (23:40):
Texas Congressman Greg Kazar says this is another instance where
a Musk is grandstanding. The billionaire, though, wrote on x
that he has President Trump's support. The plan, he claims,
is to make rapid safety upgrades to the nation's air
traffic control system.

Speaker 2 (23:54):
I'm Mark Mayfield.

Speaker 3 (23:55):
The average rate on a thirty year mortgage is down
for the third straight week in a row.

Speaker 2 (23:59):
Lisa Carton reports.

Speaker 15 (24:00):
The mortgage interest rates slipped lower over the past week,
settling at the lowest level of twenty twenty five, but
remaining elevated enough to slow down normal levels of buying
and selling in the housing market. It's now at six
point eight nine percent, according to mortgage buyer Freddy Mack.
A year ago, it averaged six point sixty four percent.
Freddy Mack's chief economists noted that the past two weeks

(24:22):
have seen a small uptick in purchase applications compared to
the same period last year. I'm Lisa Carton.

Speaker 3 (24:29):
New NASA imagery shows a large asteroid that could impact
the Earth in twenty thirty two, Ran shook as More.

Speaker 9 (24:36):
NASA said this is the only asteroid with a probability
of impact above one percent. The number changes day by day,
but the NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratory said the object, named
twenty twenty four yr four is on its risk list
because scientists found a gradual increase in its impact probability

(24:56):
in the month since they discovered its existence. I'm Brian
Schuck like.

Speaker 4 (25:03):
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah yeah.

Speaker 3 (25:04):
Kendrick Lamar says the Super Bowl halftime show will bring
Los Angeles energy to New Orleans and the world. He
talked about his upcoming performance Thursday in New Orleans.

Speaker 16 (25:14):
I have to be who I am authentically, and if
you know the world can accept that, then so be it.
But who's rocking with it? I'm gonna put it all
the way out there. You know, whether it's in private
or whether it's on the main stage.

Speaker 3 (25:27):
I gotta be me. They gotta do a rap version
of that. Yeah, yo yo, I gotta be me. I
got be me. The greatest spectacle in sports, Super Bowl
fifty nine from the Caesars Superdome in New Orleans. Chiefs
trying to make history winning a third consecutive Super Bowl.
We've never had a three beeat Eagles trying to get
revenge after losing to the Chiefs in Super Bowl fifty

(25:48):
seven two years ago. Philly has a not so secret
weapon this time that makes them different than.

Speaker 2 (25:53):
Two years ago.

Speaker 3 (25:54):
Saquon Barkley, who has rushed for more than one hundred
yards in nine of his last ten games, including an
NFC Championship game. Philadelphia hopes to secure its second Lombardi Trophy.
It had one in Super Bowl fifty two. I don't
remember what number that was in nineteen seventy eight. When

(26:15):
they got there, they lost to the Raiders eleven twelve
something like that. Yeah, I think they've been I'm just
going to pull this out. I think they've been in
four Super Bowls and this would be their second if
they can win it, I believe. But for the Chiefs
at three p that would be huge. Give me some
squeaky sneakers. The King's Sacramento lost to the Blazers one two.
That's our Sacramento versus Portland matchup. Lakers took on the Warriors.

(26:38):
That's our Los Angeles versus San Francisco listeners matchup, and
it was the Lakers who won at home one twenty
one to twelve. Clippers fell one nineteen one to twelve
to the Pacers. On the ice, the Saint Louis Blues
lost three to two at home to the Panthers. Lightning
roughed up the Senators five to one. In the Caps
beat the Flyers four to three. Birthdays Today, Do you
have the slap ready? Get Will Smith in here because

(26:59):
I want him to slap Chris Rock sixty times. Get
my wife's mouth Chris Rock sixty years old today. Actor
Ashton Kutcher forty seven. Actor James Spader sixty five. Do
they still do that show where he's the.

Speaker 2 (27:16):
Like an agent? What's that one that was?

Speaker 3 (27:18):
Uh? Red? He played Red Golly. I can't remember the
name of the show. I can't either, great show. I
remember the first two seasons. I loved then I just
stopped watching it. James Pader sixty five years old and
Rep quarterback former troit lyon Matthew Stafford thirty seven. If
it's your birthday, Happy birthday. We're so glad you were born.
And thanks for waking up with your morning show.

Speaker 4 (27:40):
This is your morning Show with Michael del Chrono.

Speaker 3 (27:44):
This just in from George, the official chef of your
Morning show.

Speaker 2 (27:49):
Never bet against Patrick Mahomee. And by the way, the
show was blacklist. Yeah.

Speaker 3 (27:54):
You know, the older I get it, the more it's
like playing password with yourself, giving myself clues to try
to remember things. Can't have your morning show without your voice.
Let's start with Keith, Good morning.

Speaker 13 (28:03):
While I'm rooting for Philadelphia and some Sunshine to reopen
I five, I gotta put my money on Kansas City
and the rafts.

Speaker 2 (28:12):
That's a smart play for the money.

Speaker 3 (28:14):
It's like a double entry and horse racing. Yeah, that's
not a bad idea.

Speaker 5 (28:18):
Of Yad we go eats a boy, give me shots
from Hova. God, it's gonna be the Feagles. They're gonna
win like thirty one twenty seven. It's gonna be our
highs flowing game because of Saint bicklay Wye. Thank you
Jimmy shots. But Hamed y'ad you ever couldn't game eat
the boy, eat gee.

Speaker 3 (28:37):
L G whoever they are, They're gonna win to Blaine next.

Speaker 11 (28:42):
We had our super Bowl November fifth, and we carried
it all.

Speaker 3 (28:46):
So uh, I will still wait around the game.

Speaker 2 (28:49):
I just want them to win so I'll win some
money anyway.

Speaker 3 (28:51):
Have a good day. Bad who's for Blade's wife? Her
husband is a degenerate gambler. Doug.

Speaker 9 (28:56):
My prediction for the Super Bowl is Jalen to for
the game winning touchdown.

Speaker 2 (29:03):
Yeah, that's a role did omer.

Speaker 3 (29:06):
Doug Roger actually gets the final say.

Speaker 2 (29:08):
I think this is my fend of the Eagles.

Speaker 14 (29:10):
However, I always root for the underdog, and at times
I find the cheese to be a little bit too
much to take. I also wanted to thank you again
for helping me get off a network news. I am
on month three and look forward to getting my one
year medallion.

Speaker 2 (29:25):
Thanks again.

Speaker 3 (29:27):
Can you readin We all gather we have meetings once
a week. Hi, I'm Michael. I used to watch Tom Broke.
I'm a recovery Network News. That was a that is
the wrong call prior to John Decker, is Decker here?

Speaker 2 (29:43):
There he is.

Speaker 3 (29:44):
You know, I got a nasty email from a listener
John earlier this week. It was like, you've been over
backwards too to always justified Trump. Thank god you have
John Decker on so you can give us some common set.
And I was like, I thank god every day John
Decker's on the show us slam me. If I get
any pictures from you sitting eating popcorn with the President

(30:05):
at the super Bowl, that's it. I'm blocking you. I'm
so tired of your life being so exciting. I was
just thinking earlier, what a busy weekend for the president.
He's going to meet today with the Panama President, that
he's going to meet with the Japanese.

Speaker 10 (30:19):
The Japanese, the Japanese Prime minister. He's meeting today.

Speaker 3 (30:22):
Oh but he's isn't the Panama President. They're having a
meeting too. It's in our news that is not on
his schedule. Really that you're scooping our own news network.

Speaker 17 (30:33):
Yeah, I get a schedule. I got a schedule at
twelve twenty this morning, and I did not see.

Speaker 2 (30:38):
That on his schedule.

Speaker 17 (30:39):
Yeah, they're going to be meeting with the Japanese Prime minister.

Speaker 2 (30:41):
And I'll have a joint.

Speaker 17 (30:42):
Press conference with the Japanese Prime Minister early in the afternoon,
so that will dominate much of his day today.

Speaker 3 (30:48):
Okay, we're also reporting that the Panama President has announced
he's going to talk with the President my phone, So
I don't know if that's happening or not happening. But
my point is, you got the Japanese Prime Minister, then Marlago,
then the Super Bowl.

Speaker 2 (31:01):
I mean, you've got a lot to cover this guy
this weekend.

Speaker 17 (31:05):
Yeah, so this will be history. There has never been
a sitting president to attend a Super Bowl. Donald Trump
will be the first, and he'll fly on Sunday from
his home in mar A Lago fly by Air Force
one to New Orleans to attend Super Bowl fifty nine
between the Chiefs and the Eagles. You can only imagine

(31:25):
what the security is going to be like just to
get in to the Fezer's super Dome on Sunday.

Speaker 3 (31:31):
Well, we just had a visit with Kurt Kretchmaar who's there,
and he says it's like nothing he has ever seen,
and he had been to I don't know ever, sixteen
super Bowls, with the exception of COVID, New Orleans had
of course, that big blunder with New Year's and then
the Sugar Bowl a couple of days later. They weren't
going to make that mistake again, but he said it's
on precedent in the hotels, in the streets with lighting,

(31:52):
National Guards, Sheriff's Department. That makes my heart very happy
because I want a everyone to be safe and be
by being safe, have a good time and celebrate.

Speaker 2 (32:03):
So it looks like securities all that.

Speaker 3 (32:05):
All that way, right, you're a tennis guy and not
necessarily a football guy, but do you follow.

Speaker 17 (32:10):
I am a football guy too. I'm rooting for the Eagles.
I hope the Eagles went on Sunday.

Speaker 3 (32:14):
Now where you know, I don't know if you like
doing personal stazize. What area did you grow up in?
Like who was your favorite team growing up?

Speaker 10 (32:21):
Well, I'm a DC native.

Speaker 17 (32:23):
I'm one of the few people who was actually born
in the District of Columbia, but my family moved to
outside of Philadelphia when I was four years old, and
I grew up being an Eagles fan. And I'm rooting
for them on Sunday to seek revenge against the Kansas
City Chiefs after they beat them two years ago. So

(32:44):
That's where my loyalties lie as it relates to well
I grew up.

Speaker 3 (32:48):
I grew up after thirteen in New Orleans, and I
remember Dick germil and your Eagles coming to the Super
Bowl super Dome in nineteen I think it was nineteen eighty.
If I haven't right, that's right, and lost to the
Oakland Raiders. Uh this, yeah, I joke around that. You
know this, This is the most The most impressive thing
about the Chiefs is how unimpressive they are and still win.

(33:10):
But this is the most win. This is the most
complete impressive Eagles team I've seen too. Offensively, defensively, every
phase of the game.

Speaker 17 (33:18):
Pointspread, if you follow those things went down from one
and a half point favorite to Kansas City Chiefs. Anoy're
a one point favorite. Look, I'm hoping the Eagles win.
I don't bet money on the game. I'm too superstitious.
I'm not going to tell you who's going to win
because I'm too superstitious. But my hope is that the
Eagles emerged victorious and they do get that revenge against

(33:40):
the Kansas City Chiefs.

Speaker 2 (33:41):
And that the mayor spells it correctly this time.

Speaker 17 (33:43):
Yeah, that too.

Speaker 10 (33:44):
She needs to learn how to sell Eagles.

Speaker 3 (33:47):
Are you shocked John that there are would? I would
think that'd be the most viral T shirt you could
have right now walking around with the misspelled Eagles and
nobody's nobody has it at any of the parties. Well
they you know, both these towns love their teams, and
I think it's going to be one wheel of a
football game.

Speaker 2 (34:03):
I don't bet either. I'm against it.

Speaker 3 (34:05):
I hope the refs don't rear their ugly heads and
I tend to root for underdogs and I do like
the Eagles.

Speaker 2 (34:12):
I hope they use Jalen Hurts with Reid option.

Speaker 3 (34:14):
I hope he runs as much as Saquan and choose
up a lot of clock and I think that'll be
the recipe for victory. But we'll see. That's why they
play the game. No productions on whether Taylor Swift's gonna
get proposed to After the game. With confetti falling, John Decker,
have a great weekend, And as the nastyy Mieler says,
thank god you're on this show.

Speaker 4 (34:32):
We're all in this together. This is your morning show
