Speaker 1 (00:00):
Previously on your morning show with Michael Del Chuno.

Speaker 2 (00:04):
So the Dems want schumeroute is it AOC they want in?
We turned to GOP analyst and consultant Chris Walker, who
joins us every morning as a contributor on your morning show.

Speaker 3 (00:14):
Sure looks like AOC.

Speaker 4 (00:16):
Is it? Good morning? Michael?

Speaker 5 (00:19):
Yeah?

Speaker 4 (00:19):
I mean what a what a scene. You know, there's
a picture going around Twitter or access is called now
is you know the thirty thousand people in Denver? And
your first question is are there thirty thousand people in
Denver who are this dumb? But here? They are?

Speaker 3 (00:34):
Here, they are you know?

Speaker 4 (00:35):
This is this is This is a moment that seems
to have some energy enthusiasm behind it.

Speaker 2 (00:40):
All right, So Chucky caved because there's a portion and
it includes this extreme left of the Democrat party that
wants obstruction at any cost.

Speaker 3 (00:50):
They're not pro American.

Speaker 2 (00:51):
They're not about finding common ground, they're not about putting
America first.

Speaker 3 (00:55):
They're about gaining power.

Speaker 2 (00:57):
So clearly they're going to get back at Chucky by
running AOC. Let's say they get their weight and they
play out the strategy. CANOC beat Chucky in a statewide
Senate race?

Speaker 4 (01:10):
I I want to say no, in part because the
Republicans have experienced this for a long time in a
lot of ways. I mean, there's been a kind of
a more conservative version of Republicans that have tried to
challenge GOOP people in the past and haven't succeeded. Trump
is the first one to kind of come through that
with with kind of bringing both sides of the factions intact,

(01:32):
and so I think that's something that's going to have
to happen for the Democrats. I don't think there's enough
Democrats from an AOC side of the of the coin
to matter. Ultimately, a lot of the Democrats want to
win and they've got to figure out how to do it.
Is that Gavin Newsom or is that AOC? I think
anyone will tell you it's more to happen than it
is AOC. But from a standpoint of where the where
the kind of the the grassroots of the party is,

(01:55):
it's it's definitely AOC that could be enough in a primary,
but my gut is just not enough.

Speaker 2 (02:00):
We're looking over this polling information and again there's some
consistency with this. First we had the CNN polling, followed
by the NBC polling, and now the Fox polling, and
it all shows consistently an approval rating problem for the
Democrat party and a higher approval rating by anywhere from
six points to double digits for Republicans.

Speaker 3 (02:21):
And I can go through all the numbers.

Speaker 2 (02:22):
I can give you the Republican view in the mirror
of themselves eighty three percent approval. The Democrats' biggest problem
is when they're looking in the mirror only a seventy
two percent favorability rating on themselves. Twenty six percent of
Democrats have an unfavorable view of their own party. I
believe it's that extreme left obstruction at any cost. And
then when you get into this, this to me was

(02:44):
by far.

Speaker 3 (02:45):
And away the most staggering number.

Speaker 2 (02:47):
Fifty percent of whites, forty two percent of Blacks, fifty
six percent of Hispanics, and sixty six percent of all
other minorities have a favorable view of the GOP. Imagine
forty two percent Blacks with a favorable view of the
GOP for the Democrats only forty three percent of whites.
The Black vote, the Barack Obama once took with ninety
seven percent, is down to a sixty percent approval rating.

Speaker 3 (03:09):
Hispanics have been lost.

Speaker 2 (03:11):
Now in majority is down to forty seven percent and
twenty two percent of other minorities do the Democrat Party favorably.

Speaker 3 (03:18):
This is a party in real trouble.

Speaker 4 (03:21):
It is well, this is what happens when your you know,
number one ideology is trans and you know, and an absurdity.
You know, the Democrats aren't.

Speaker 5 (03:31):
Offering anything, you know, relatives to people's checkbooks or people's
talking books are fixing an economy that.

Speaker 4 (03:38):
You know, continues to kind of be sagnant that they
are only offering the craziest of crazy in terms of
social engineering. And so, yeah, the numbers don't surprise, but
again it's you've.

Speaker 5 (03:50):
Seen someone like Gavin Newson come out and say, hey,
like forth times, you know, the transisue is is not
something you.

Speaker 4 (03:56):
Know I do Now. Granted, he's he's crazy cause he's
he was the one that led it for a long
time and now coming out and seeing he's against it,
I mean, obviously he's like a politician and politician's clothing,
but at the same time he knows where actual winning
has to go because Democrats offering that right now is
an abject failure, and he sees it and knows it.

(04:17):
If he wants to win, they're.

Speaker 3 (04:18):
Going to have to transition. Ourswan.

Speaker 2 (04:21):
Chris Walker's a GOP consultant and analyst, joins us every
Monday as a contributor for your morning show. I said
on local radio before we went iHeart and then Premiere
that I felt one or both parties will be gone
by the end of the decade. Everybody thought I was crazy.
It sure looks like it could be the Democrats. And
here's the problem. Axios takes on the ten reasons the

(04:42):
Democrats lost With this premise, we have to understand why
we lost. If we're going to avoid losing again. Then
it's like an issue of it was all Joe's fault,
It was all Kamala's fault.

Speaker 3 (04:52):
Podcasting and social media.

Speaker 2 (04:54):
We thought things were still about CNNMSNBC and it was
a lot more about Joe Rogan, Megan, Kelly, Tucker, Carlston
and podcasts and where the American people listen. Now we
were two woke, elitist words, elitist policies. Inflation, inflation, inflation,
it's the economy, stupid, the border. Trump is one of

(05:16):
a kind, and we just don't know how to solve
this mass disruptor. Of course, what they'll never explore is
it's all of the above, because it's really a worldview problem,
a party platform problem, and a policy view problem. And
if they shift, what are they I mean, that's the question,
I mean, what is their next move?

Speaker 4 (05:37):
Well, far me from me to let my enemies not enemies,
that's so the right word our opposition, you know, try
to help them get in their own way. But at
the same time, you know, Democrats are gonna have to
get back to the roots of what made them popular.
It's trying to think first about the middle class. This
is an elitist party right now that is most successful
and incredibly wealthy suburbs and in you know, the most extreme.

Speaker 5 (06:02):
Versions of the left, and that's not where the.

Speaker 4 (06:04):
Majority of people are. If Democrats really want to get
back to the grassroots, you know, they need to decide
we care about people's pocketbooks, care about people's jobs. That's
something that the President Trump and provides. President Vance has
done a really good job of trying to trying to
you know, articulate bringing American jobs back, looking at the
middle class and figure out how to bring jobs back

(06:25):
that have gone to China. You know, fixing illegal immigration,
things that normal people care about day in and day out.
Democrats have to figure out how to do that, and
we saw them with Bernie Sanders in his interview with
John carl talking about immigration.

Speaker 5 (06:38):
Granted, going against everything he's said for the past ten years,
but you know, that's one thing that he's like seeing.

Speaker 4 (06:42):
As an issue that middle class people really care about.
They don't want to see illegal immigration.

Speaker 3 (06:48):
Anymore, so he pivots.

Speaker 2 (06:51):
But by and large, what we're seeing is the party
kind of splitting, the Democrats into we're not obstructing enough,
or we need to pivot and we need to unite,
and we need to get behind the things that make sense,
that are working that the American people are behind, and
begin to exploit our slight difference. And we're a year

(07:12):
and a half from the midterms and then I'm looking
at those favorability numbers and it doesn't look good for
them from inner cities, let alone district by district.

Speaker 3 (07:20):
I mean, not.

Speaker 2 (07:21):
Only they quite figured it out yet is the understatement
of the year.

Speaker 4 (07:28):
Oh, I think that's right. I think they're so determined
with their belief structure from the far left that they
they don't know how to fix it right now. And
you know, if they want to win, and they very
much do, they're going to have to try to figure
out how to pivot a little bit. I think they will.
That means you're coming along with some of the issues. Crime,

(07:50):
you know, the economy, and immigration are all.

Speaker 5 (07:52):
Three things the Democrats are going to have to review
with Trump on and right now the only thing they
can see is yes, anti Trump, and it's putting them
in a position of absolute, you know, disconnect from the voters.

Speaker 4 (08:05):
Who care about the takes. I mean, Trump's a genius
in being able to have triangulated and it used to
be democratic. She's in tournato in the Republican It's an amazing
thing to watch.

Speaker 2 (08:14):
Closing moments of Chris Walker. If passed his prologue, don't
forget Bernie Sanders would have won the nomination in twenty sixteen.
The party had to get involved to riggot for Hillary
with super delegates and other actions. He don't want to
get in plenty, but they got the deal with Joe
by fourth in Iowa sixth coming out of New Hampshire,

(08:34):
so that far left. Because of how active they are
in primaries, they're going to be there and it's not
going to be Bernie this time. And if he's passing
the torch and it appears he is to AOC, she
could very well be a leading candidate, if not the
nominee unless the party gets involved again. And I believe
they will and rig it for Ronnie Manuel or probably

(08:56):
Wes Moore. But people that aren't taking aos he's serious.
I think their plan is get her in the Senate
and just like Barack Obama sixty.

Speaker 3 (09:04):
Days later, running for president. I'm convinced of that.

Speaker 4 (09:08):
I think that's certainly possible.

Speaker 5 (09:10):
I think that would be a foolish.

Speaker 4 (09:12):
Errand for them, I mean, goodness, graciously again, well.

Speaker 3 (09:15):
They would never do a foolish they.

Speaker 4 (09:18):
Well they did last year. So I mean, you know,
his ory may repeat itself again. But you know, the
Democrats have got to figure out how to moderate their position.
I know that sounds crazy coming, you know, as a
as a political tactic, but you know they're so far left,
it's so out on mainstream. When you've lost Elon Musk.
Let's not forget Musk is a Democrat. Like he's cutting

(09:40):
government in a way that I've wanted to see government
cut for a long time. But there are a lot
of the Democrats who've come to President Trump because of
just various different things. And so again, you know, how
do you win over the people who have come to Trump.
It's by you've got to like start talking their language again.
So that's where I see the Democrats having to kind
of figure out how to pivot to eventually or else
are gonna You may be right that one of the

(10:02):
parties may not exist within five to ten years.

Speaker 2 (10:04):
I got to tell you, if you'd have asked me
a week ago, should the President go to a National
Championship wrestling in Philadelphia? I said, why, just another historic,
magical American moment waiting to and eventually unfolded. I mean,
pretty soon the Democrats are going to be running against
not a Republican party, but an American party. I mean,

(10:25):
it's everything that he does just turns out so right.
And it looks like peace talks are moving forward for
a ceasefire with Russia and Ukraine. I mean, it's just
it's just good, good to be Donald Trump right now.
That's for certain, incredible accomplishment.

Speaker 4 (10:39):
And again, let's look at the space program. Last week
we saw, you know, SpaceX rescue the astronauts, something that
Joe Biden refused to do when he was in the
White House. I mean, that's that should make people angry.
This isn't a country that leaves patriots and you know,
trailblaers behind, and that's what the Democrat Party offered because
of petty politics, you know, and here you have so
much someone in Elon who's created a rockets that save

(11:01):
people and are going to kind of expand humanity. That's
a tremendous thing that you know, can bring people together
and our kids. You know, I grew up with the
Space Shuttle.

Speaker 5 (11:11):
And the inspiration of the Space Show providing.

Speaker 4 (11:13):
Now we have new inspiration with new rockets and that's
a great thing. And that's something. And look what the
Left is doing. They're deriding it because they hate Elon.
That's crazy.

Speaker 3 (11:20):
It was a splashdown in more ways than one.

Speaker 2 (11:22):
Chris Walker, as always our GOP consultant, analyst and weekly contributor.

Speaker 3 (11:27):
Thanks for your time.

Speaker 2 (11:27):
We'll talk to again next Monday or sooner if conditions warned.

Speaker 3 (11:31):
Thank you so much.

Speaker 1 (11:32):
