Speaker 1 (00:00):
Previously on Your Morning Show with Michael del Chonoh.

Speaker 2 (00:04):
My David from My House.

Speaker 3 (00:06):
Zanati is the one that told me about it that
I had another conversation with someone else because we're gonna
have John Irwin, who is the creator, writer and director of.

Speaker 2 (00:15):
House of David on the show.

Speaker 3 (00:16):
So I put it on and in all honesty, the
first episode I was like, eh, second episode I was
like hmm. By the third episode, I was like, oh wow. Yeah,
and David, I don't know how better did you describe it?

Speaker 2 (00:32):
You know?

Speaker 3 (00:32):
I thought maybe I'd have problem with some of this
taking liberty, but it's such good writing. If it wasn't
even about King David, if it wasn't even a biblical story,
it goes beyond storytelling to transporting you in place and time.
It is just one of the best written, shot acted
Not a single name star all the better they become
the actual characters. Just an absolute masterpiece. Thanks for giving

(00:54):
me the tip.

Speaker 4 (00:55):
Well, I'm pretty thrilled about it because I feel the
same way you to Michael. I feel like it makes
us back into a period of Hebrew history, which is fascinating,
and yeah, there's a lot of license in it, but
not as much as is in The Chosen, that's for sure,
because you know, those scenes are much more aggressive and
much more busy, and much more going on. Here, it's slow,

(01:18):
it's ancient, ancient history, and the focuses on the personalities
and on the events. It doesn't go too soap opry.
You know, it doesn't go there, but it does kind
of give you an idea of g I always wondered
about those big gaps in the story.

Speaker 2 (01:31):
What would have happened there? Yeah, no, it's terrific.

Speaker 3 (01:33):
And listen to get David to get Israel and their
desire for a king, which was never God's will, and
then once they get one and a bad one, he
sent Samuel to get the right one, and the land
that he goes to where he finds him that not
recognizable king like the brothers and the conquerors and the

(01:56):
heir appearance, but the young man in the field, the
heart for God and a bastard child. Quite frankly, to
get that is to get the arrival of Jesus and
not seeing both coming.

Speaker 4 (02:10):
I can't vouch for the historicity of David's lineage.

Speaker 2 (02:13):
I can't find that anywhere in the biblical record.

Speaker 3 (02:16):
So I think they probably made that up well last
John when we have a month, Yeah, I think that
was a license. It is and the love story is brilliant.
I mean it's just in the battles. I mean, if
you liked Game of Thrones, you love this even if
you're not of a biblical nature. It's just that well done.
I mean, the cinematography, the locations, everything.

Speaker 4 (02:35):
It is taking peace also, and it also I think
it gives you. I think one of the things that
was impressive to me is it showed how slow life
was and how serious beliefs were. You know, your belief
system mattered.

Speaker 3 (02:51):
Were you struck by how we're trying to make a
king of the presidency?

Speaker 2 (02:56):
Well, and what.

Speaker 3 (02:57):
They were going through at that time, because that's really
what Samuel was trying to tell them. You've made yourself
a king and they're now following a king.

Speaker 2 (03:06):
You were never to be king.

Speaker 3 (03:07):
It was to be God's office, and the focus in
trust was to be on God, something that even Saul's
sun obeyed, something certainly David would go on to obey,
and a flawless life. But and yet we try to
make kings out of presidents. Now that's a long way
from in God we trust, right, Yeah.

Speaker 4 (03:25):
And this is certainly an important part of American history.
If you go back and read Thomas Paine's classic pamphlet
that is credentialed at every university in this country. Common
Sense is the name of that pamphlet, and it was
the best selling publication before the Revolutionary War. Thomas pain
actually has an entire chapter on First Samuel, chapter eight

(03:48):
in Israel's decision to choose to leave the Hebrew republic
form of government and accept a monarchy and the hinge
that Samuel and Samuel's life played there in what happened
once Israel chose a king? And it's it's true that
after the signing of the Declaration of Independence, there was
a sentiment among the founders that this very day, the

(04:11):
day that they signed the declaration, they ended the mistake
that had been made in First Samuel, chapter eight of
Pursuing a King.

Speaker 2 (04:20):
I think it's.

Speaker 3 (04:23):
It's just apparent you have one of the greatest bombs
in Hollywood history happening as we speak, with a woke
remake of Snow White, and.

Speaker 2 (04:34):
There's there's no Disney's probably going to lose. Nobody can
really put their finger on it.

Speaker 3 (04:37):
Because we don't know how many millions they've spent promoting it,
but they're going to lose anywhere from three hundred to
four hundred million dollars by putting out a woke version
of snow right White right as wokeness dies in our culture.
But look at Hollywood with a woke version of snow White,
one of the greatest losses in Hollywood history. And then
we're talking about House of David produced four Prime. If

(05:00):
they would produce things in the theater that look like
what I was watching on Prime for seven hours, they
might solve things better than marijuana in the theaters and texting.

Speaker 2 (05:10):
That goes without saying, well.

Speaker 4 (05:12):
If you think about it, Michael, there's no better story
than a story that is based on a true story.
That's always the power in film, unless you've got a
fairy tale, which Walt Disney perfected. The problem is when
you decide to leave the fairy tale and try to
make the fairy tale political reality. As you have said
over and over again, the reality dies how the narrative

(05:32):
dies by reality, and I mean they're.

Speaker 3 (05:34):
Lost the same thing as trying to be a nation
under God, indivisible liberty and justice for all without God.

Speaker 2 (05:39):
How's that working out? Yeah?

Speaker 3 (05:41):
Well, and I did that in my book I featured
was the most bort It was the easiest, you know,
majority of a single chapter. I just took the preambles
of virtually every state, and you will see it is
disqualifying to abandon christ in faith in statehood. But it's

(06:02):
in every preamble. And yet we've watched what America's done
over the last fifty years. But is there a cultural
shake and a spiritual revival and reawakening in the process.
One can sense it at least and hope. What do
you make of these elections in Florida? Obviously there was
a mainstream media and a leftist narrative this is going

(06:23):
to be closed, there's going to be a shift of power.
In fact, we're already counting our chickens before they hatch,
and we're talking impeachment of Trump. And of course it's
a special election. Turnout was low, but Republicans maintained both seats.
Anything you saw in that that we missed, But no.

Speaker 4 (06:36):
There shouldn't be any surprises, and there were none in Florida.
And the turnout numbers really are just make believe because
I can tell you being with an office in Florida
that this spring a lot of people aren't thinking about voting.

Speaker 2 (06:47):
It just wasn't anywhere near.

Speaker 4 (06:49):
Not only they're not thinking about voting, it's the worst
time possible in the four year election cycle to hold
an election because right now people are so tired of
elections they're off doing everything and anything else. So these
is way inside baseball. But what is intriguing about this
is to see how ridiculous the differences between Fox News's
story and the story of as reported by the Associated Press.

(07:16):
What happened is if you look, Fox News has nothing
about Wisconsin. I've gone twenty story deeps. You can't find
the Wisconsin Supreme Court justice democrat being elected. And the
Associated Press leads with the story it's bizarre. Fox covers Florida,
leaves Wisconsin out, AP focuses on Wisconsin and downplace Florida.

Speaker 2 (07:36):
Welcome to the matrix. Yeah, the matrix. It's insane, absolutely insane.

Speaker 3 (07:41):
Democrats spend a lot of money in a special election
off your election would low turnout and still couldn't get
it very close.

Speaker 2 (07:49):
That should bring a belt for them.

Speaker 4 (07:51):
Well, and Trump's must spend about load of money in
Wisconsin and lost.

Speaker 3 (07:55):
Probably messed it up well, but could have well. I said,
there's no way of knowing. You certainly energize a base
by giving away millions, and you are the boogeyman they've created.
You energize their base in a low turnout. So I'm I'm.
My guess would be it hurt, but it could have
been what put it could have been what put voter
id over the finish line, but.

Speaker 2 (08:17):
Hard to know for sure.

Speaker 4 (08:18):
But one thing that does show here is that Elon
Musk is really smart about a lot of stuff he
wasn't on.

Speaker 2 (08:25):
He's really learning about politics the hard way.

Speaker 4 (08:28):
Yeah, I've usedom in that field that doesn't come with money.

Speaker 3 (08:31):
Here's the most important question I could ask, and I
think the candidates speak volumes to the answer. But was
this a Republican win in Florida in two districts or
was this a Donald Trump victory? Because one leaves in
three years, the other will have to move on without him,
presuming he leaves.

Speaker 4 (08:53):
That's a great question because Florida really is in a
position of political paralysis right now because DeSantis, who has
been the strong leader, is on his way out and
there's no apparent heir, there's a battle going on in
that realm. So this really was a strange time to
have an election in Florida. I can't really answer that
question because Florida right now is sort of on pause.

(09:13):
It's on hold, waiting to see who the next governor
is going to be. So this was not a very
notable election. It was a very quiet election. Wasn't certainly
wasn't a statewide It was two districts. What do you
make of Donald Trump? David s Anda, he's our senior contributor.
We're kind of just kind of doing a popo re
of things. But obviously today's Liberation Day. The President is

(09:33):
going to try to sell us liberation through taxation, which
is tariffs. It's why is he prioritizing this so early?
Obviously this was a much bigger agenda for him, And
I think if you study Donald Trump, this has always
been a rub for him. He's always felt like we've
been getting ripped off. It was there in his first
run in twenty sixteen, it was there during his presidency. Clearly,

(09:55):
securing the border, deporting these criminals, you know, that was
high in his agenda, ending the war with Russia and Ukraine,
high and his agenda. But this may be its personal
agenda and he's leading with it strong. This could create
some temporary pain that could backfire in a midterm. Yeah,
I think Donald Trump is looking very much long term
as to what's going to happen in geopolitics and economics,

(10:16):
and particularly in regards to China. I think he is
very concerned about America's economy in the long run, and
he's right now seeing tariffs as a strategy to get
to somewhere else.

Speaker 2 (10:29):
So it'll be interesting to hear his explanation.

Speaker 3 (10:31):
Somewhere else is what they lower their tariffs and thus
things get more affordable, or long term they don't we
keep ours in the manufacturing moves here.

Speaker 2 (10:41):
That's the point.

Speaker 4 (10:42):
The point is that the long term survival of America
is recapturing all that very greedy, publicly held corporations took
to China and other places well, with China becoming the
adversary that they inevitably are going to be and are
right now the defenses. We've got to get that control
of things. So we got to get that control of
who makes our medicine. We've got to get control of

(11:03):
who makes our microchips and so I think that this
is a step to do what you just suggested, which
is to bring American manufacturing back to America.

Speaker 2 (11:12):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (11:12):
The problem is America gets politics through the lens of
a matrix. It really doesn't get self governance at all,
and it really doesn't get economics other than political narratives.

Speaker 2 (11:26):
This is a tough sell. They're going to have to
sell it now.

Speaker 4 (11:29):
I'll tell you those Believe it or Not is also
a tough sell, and they're selling it and they're prevailing there.
I might suggest if anyone who talks to mister Muscus listening, elon,
let's stick with those and if you need, you know, politics,
let's sit down and talk, because you know, stay where
you're really strong.

Speaker 1 (11:46):
Miss a little, miss a lot, miss a lot, and
we'll miss you. It's your morning show with Michael Delchruerno
