White House Correspondent JON DECKER is the reporter who first asked the President about Elon Musk’s criticism of the “Big Beautiful Bill.”  Is their feud cooling off now, or will it get even more contentious? Decker is available to discuss the question he asked in the Oval Office and what could happen next.

Speaker 1 (00:00):
Hey, it's me Michael. Your morning show can be heard
live five to eight am Central, six to nine Eastern
and great cities like Jackson, Mississippi, Akron, Ohio, or Columbus, Georgia.
We'd love to be a part of your morning routine
and we're grateful you're here. Now, enjoy the podcast just once.

Speaker 2 (00:15):
I want him to go, because because, because, because, because.

Speaker 3 (00:19):
Los Angeles Police Department is now declaring an unlawful assembly
for all of downtown LA. Meanwhile, Governor Gavin Newsom says
the state of California is planning on suing Donald Trump.
How dare he was storing aw and order in our city?
And now Pope Leo for the you know, I read
this whole quote. I feel like an NFL referee who's

(00:41):
under the hood, you know, after a challenge. I is
Pope Leo calling for open borders and an end to hatred.

Speaker 2 (00:53):
I'll sit on the fence and I'm in a good movie.
Because Yokahoma City.

Speaker 3 (00:55):
Thunder evened up the NBA Finals one game apiece with
a one twenty three, one oh seven win over the
Pacers Life last night, and we will have a Game
three in Indiana coming up on Wednesday Night.

Speaker 2 (01:06):
Roy o'neils here.

Speaker 3 (01:07):
Both NASA and the Pentagon are looking for alternatives to
SpaceX in light of the breakup between Donald Trump and
Elon musk.

Speaker 2 (01:17):
Rory. We've been told over and over again for how.

Speaker 3 (01:20):
Long only Elon, only SpaceX coun do this? Now because
they're fighting, there's someone else.

Speaker 4 (01:28):
Well, what they have to figure out is that plan B.
You know, we go back to Starliner, the Boeing ship
that had so many problems and left those astronauts using
air quotes here stranded unquote.

Speaker 3 (01:41):
That's still that, but I still feel like that's a
wedge between us.

Speaker 2 (01:47):
Okay, well you're wrong, so it's not a wed.

Speaker 3 (01:51):
You were always doing the air quote. I think one
time I called them stranded. Well they were up there
a long longer than they were supposed to be, but yeah,
go ahead, I mean there.

Speaker 2 (01:58):
I was just joking. No, that's fine.

Speaker 4 (02:00):
But the issue being, NASA wanted SpaceX and Boeing. They
wanted to have two systems in case one or the
other wasn't working. I don't think they envisioned a political
rift or tiff that would be the cause here, more
of a technological problem. But there's still so what happened
was after or during that exchange, Elon Musk said, well,

(02:22):
I'm going to decommission all my Dragon capsules, and they
are the capsules that bring supplies or humans up to
the space station. And he later reversed that idea, But
that spooked a lot of folks over at NASA and
at the Pentagon, because you know, Elon Musk and SpaceX
are also some of the biggest defense contractors launching a

(02:43):
lot of spy satellites and other equipment for the Pentagon.
So now the Pentagon is reaching out to companies like
Blue Origin, which is Jeff Bezos, United Launch Alliance and
others and saying, all right, look, how fast can you
be up and ready in case we have a real
tiff with the Musk and Trump.

Speaker 2 (03:01):
That they both need to be put into time out
and grow up. All right.

Speaker 3 (03:04):
So, if you're Elon Musk and you've got this mission
to Mars as your ultimate goal, and you have this
relationship with NASA, I mean, why would you cut your
nose off despite your face? And I can say the
same for the President in any attempts to decommission. I mean,
we've got to rise above this or what we're gonna
we're gonna turn to now I'm forgetting his name Bezos,

(03:28):
and then right then he'll have a fight with Trump,
and then where are we? I mean, can't have a
plan B if everybody's acting like children.

Speaker 4 (03:34):
Right well, And the argument is Musk doesn't want to
do these little trips to the International Space Station. He
essentially is where NASA is like, Okay, we did it
for twenty five years, we know how to do that.
We want to do the bigger stuff. And Musk wants
to focus on going to Mars with that rocket that
keeps blowing up. But instead, you know, he feels like,
all right, if they're gonna pay me, I'll do these
little short trips up to the space station, all right?

Speaker 3 (03:58):
And where we stand, is it break up or reunion?
They still broke up because there was the olive branch
supposedly extended by Musk and they were going to have
a conversation Friday. Did that conversation happen? Where is the
relationship of Trump and Musk as we stand, Yeah, there
was no conversation Friday. We don't know exactly where things
stand at the moment. I think the hashtag it's complicated

(04:21):
described and Rory and I understand that. No, I'm kidding,
all right, So Roy's going to be back in the
third hour, President Trump is called in the National Guarden, California.
As that plays out in the matrix, Rory will have more.
Did I mention Dion Warwick on the show later this week?

(04:41):
You did mention it. I'll never forget I was. I
meant to tell her this story. I must have been
a freshman in high school and she was an HBO
concert special and I'm sitting on the carpet with my homework.
I didn't actually do my homework, but it was all
He's in front of me while I was doing something

(05:01):
else and that should count for something. And Dian Warwick
comes out, and you know, Dean Worrick wasn't that old
back and at that time, I mean she was probably
forty five, maybe forty four, who knows, in nineteen eighty whatever,
it was probably nineteen eighty and she just sat on
a stool with her legs crossed and belted out one

(05:23):
number one hit after another for like an hour, never
stood just afterly, just sitting there kind of.

Speaker 2 (05:29):
Like I sit and do my show.

Speaker 3 (05:31):
She's belted out the hits. She'll be joining us later
this week. We have sixteen time Grammy winner David Foster,
who has worked with some of the greatest talent ever
ever alive, and now he endeavors to take on Broadway
and is doing so with Boop. We'll tell you about
the journey to Betty Boop and how he wrote this

(05:51):
and how the album is now available. I know we
have James at wk BN in Youngstown. Any other just
James's to James real quick, and then I want to
get to this gymnastics potential loser of the.

Speaker 2 (06:05):
Day, Happy Monday.

Speaker 5 (06:07):
Michael wondering when that Trump administration is going to start
investigating Soros for all his funny activities for this Antifa
blm craft. This seemingly resurfacing his head again. That man
has to be close to treeson this. If he's not
outright at treason, I.

Speaker 2 (06:28):
Think I can say this. My brother.

Speaker 3 (06:31):
Is losing patience with Donald Trump, wanting to know where
are the lawsuits, where are the arrests, Who's behind the
auto pen find out people don't start leaveing fauci sorrows Antifa.
If some people don't hunter Biden, they don't start leaving

(06:52):
with some accountability. He's losing trust in Trump. There's a
lot of people James asking those very same ques questions.
All right, I always use this analogy whenever I bring
up the matrix and how we for some reason feel
like we always have to have an immediate, movable, permanent

(07:13):
position on something. Something happens. The first thing isn't to
get the who, what, where, when, why. The first thing
isn't to understand something. The first thing is to take
a position. And I think that's a social media creation.
Something happens and you got to have a position, and
you've got to join the fight and take a side
or have a clever quip, and then it doesn't matter

(07:37):
what new information comes out, you never change your position.
It's a big part of what your morning show is
trying to offset. And so whenever I use an example,
I always pick some own Bios because she's an ocean
away competing in the Olympics and withdraws and immediately back

(07:57):
at home. Everybody takes a polarizing matrix. Side one side, she's.

Speaker 6 (08:04):
A champion for mental illness, prioritizing her mental health with
health with the twisties and prioritizing the other side was
like she's a disgrace to her teammates, a disgrace to
her parents who sacrificed to her country.

Speaker 2 (08:17):
She's a quitter.

Speaker 3 (08:19):
And then it didn't matter what new information came out
or but he kept those firm, polarizing positions. I will
no longer use Simone Biles as that analogy anymore after
this ridiculous story today, she's my loser of the day.
First of all, why do you feel a need to
chime in? If you're some Mo Biles and you are

(08:41):
arguably and I mean arguably the greatest gymnast who ever lived,
male or female?

Speaker 2 (08:53):
What about Kathy Rigby? What about uh what's her name? Uh?
Drunk driving?

Speaker 3 (09:04):
Oh?

Speaker 2 (09:05):
Mary? Come on?

Speaker 3 (09:10):
So you're arguably the greatest gymnasts who ever lived. You'r
Simone Boles. Why chime in in such a fifty to
fifty issue. I don't get this. Do these people have
publicists anymore? Can you imagine if I called Premiere? Hey, listen,
I want to take a strong stance and I want
to ridicule somebody for.

Speaker 2 (09:26):
Shot up and do your show Pizza boy. I mean,
this is number one.

Speaker 3 (09:31):
But then listen what she says Olympic gymnast Simone Biles
took a swipe a former National Collegiate Athletic Association swimmer
and host of Outkicks Gains for Girls, Riley Gaines on
Sunday for advocacy in defensive women's sports. So you're Simone Biles,
you don't compete against men, You compete against women.

Speaker 2 (09:54):
And you feel I need to chime in on a
woman who's had to compete against men.

Speaker 3 (10:05):
An old tweet shows that Bios seemingly made the exact
same argument Gains has been making for years. But never
mind that in twenty seventeen, Biles tweeted a good thing
guys don't compete against girls, or he take all the
gold medals. The remark came after the World Artistic Gymnastics
Championship in Canada, where a male gymnast won the men's

(10:27):
all around. Fast forward to twenty twenty five, Bails Biles
is now branded Gains, a former NCAA swimmer, a sick bully,
and a sore loser. Never mind the complexity of the
issue or the common sense of the issue. For someone

(10:52):
to stand legitimately on one side of an issue, that's
a sick bully, that's a sore loser. You should be
uplift lifting the trans community. Maybe a transgender category in
all sports Biles post, but instead you bully them. No
one in sports is safe with you around. Wow, that's personal.

(11:22):
She gave a very classy response to that, which I
give her credit for. She could have just somebody shoots
at you, you could just shoot back, but she didn't. After

(11:43):
being called a straight up loser, the former suitor insinuated
that Biles should participate in men's gymnastics due to her viewpoints.
Maybe she should compete in a pommel horse or the
rings in twenty twenty eight. I mean once, we're blurring
these lines conveniently. Now they're going at it like Musk

(12:12):
and Trump, back and forth. But a serious issue and
a petty attack. It's just in some mobiles. Is now
the leading candidate for president of the United States in
twenty twenty eight, but she's also our loser of the day.

Speaker 7 (12:31):
It's your Morning Show with Michael del Chorno.

Speaker 3 (12:36):
Jeffrey has a request. He'd like an itty bitty ditty
trial update.

Speaker 2 (12:42):
Well, let's get on. It's on five stories with this
long distance request.

Speaker 3 (12:48):
Diddy's ex girlfriend, referred to as Jane will be back
on the stand for much of this week. In the
hip hop moguls sex trafficking trial in Manhattan, falling graphic
testimony on Friday.

Speaker 8 (12:58):
Jane sobbed when described how Diddy ordered her to take
part in drug fueled sex marathons with male escorts. She
said she felt pressure to take part in what she
calls hotel nights, which often went on for days, because
she was financially dependent on him. The testimony, similar to
what Diddy's ex Cassie Ventura referred to as Freakoff's prosecutors
claim Didty sex trafficked both women, while his defense argues

(13:21):
the activity was consensual. Meanwhile, Jane's attorney said some media
outlets and members of the public are trying to reveal
her identity.

Speaker 2 (13:28):
Kristen Marks NBC News Radio and not sure Itty bittyp
Didty trial update Thanks now back to the coutdown.

Speaker 3 (13:35):
ABC News has suspended a senior national correspondent, Terry Moran,
for following a social media post where he attacked President
Trump and his top aide, Stephen Miller. Mark Mayfield fills
us in.

Speaker 9 (13:49):
Oran called Trump and Miller world class haters in the
since deleted post. Saying Miller is richly endowed with the
capacity for hatred, while Trump's hatred is only the means
to an end, and that end is his own glorification.
An ABC News spokesperson said in a statement Moran had
been suspended, seeing ABC News stands for objectivity and impartiality in.

Speaker 2 (14:09):
Its news coverage. I'm Mark Mayfield, said another ABC executive.
Save that for on the air.

Speaker 3 (14:15):
President Trump says he's ready to enforce law and order
as anti ice protests continue in LA.

Speaker 10 (14:20):
The President spoke to reporters briefly and his way to
Camp David, did we see.

Speaker 9 (14:24):
Danger juantantre and to our citizens, it will be very
very strong, and says to law and order.

Speaker 2 (14:30):
It should not law and order.

Speaker 10 (14:31):
The comments came after the President ordered the deployment of
two thousand members of the California National Guard. Governor Gavin
Newsom criticized the move, calling it purposely inflammatory. I'm Tammy
Trihio not again.

Speaker 3 (14:43):
Another multi states m and L outbreak concerning.

Speaker 10 (14:46):
Eggs, The August Egg Company is recalling nearly two million
cartons of brown eggs after dozens became sick in several states,
including California, Nevada, and Arizona. The sell by dates range
from March fourth to June nineteenth. Most were sold in
Safeway and Walmart stores and nine states. So far, the
outbreak has sickoned seventy nine people, with no deaths reported.

(15:09):
I'm Lisa Carton thunder even up.

Speaker 4 (15:11):
The NBA Finals at one game apiece.

Speaker 3 (15:13):
With a huge one twenty three one oh seven win
over the Pacers last night SGA with thirty four, Jalen
Williams with nineteen, Caruso with twenty, Olgrim with the kids
off the glass at fifteen.

Speaker 2 (15:24):
Now that's the thunder. I know.

Speaker 3 (15:26):
Game three Wednesday night in Indiana, Stanley Cup tit at
one game apiece, Game three tonight in Miami Panthers and Eilers.
And Birthdays Today Johnny Depp is sixty two years old,
Natalie Portman forty four, and Michael J. Fox is when
I'm sixty four at your birthday.

Speaker 2 (15:43):
Happy birthdays, So glad you were born.

Speaker 7 (15:47):
Hey, I'm Mike Arragon Vin Santuel, Arizona and my morning shows.

Speaker 2 (15:51):

and Sacramento, California. We love to be a part of

But better late than ever. We're grateful you're here. Now
enjoy the podcast. The LA Police.

Speaker 3 (16:17):
Department is declaring an unlawful assembly of for all of
downtown LA. Meanwhile, California's Governor Gavin Newsom says the state
of California is planning to sue the Trump administration.

Speaker 2 (16:27):
How dare they do it? We won't do it. Enforce
the law and uh.

Speaker 3 (16:32):
The NBA Finals now even at one game apiece okase
with a big win at home last night one twenty
three one oh seven, Game three coming up Wednesday night
in Indiana, and game three of a tied at one
game apiece Stanley Cup Final is tonight. By the way,
we love when you listen live, and we love when

every morning. Well, if you're waking up and you're wondering,

(17:15):
have Elon Musk and Donald Trump made up?

Speaker 2 (17:19):
Yet?

Speaker 3 (17:20):
All indications are no. The olive branch that was extended,
and the call that was supposed to happen Friday is
reported by at least the Daily Mail.

Speaker 2 (17:31):
Never seemed to happen.

Speaker 3 (17:33):
White House correspondent John Decker is the reporter who first
asked President Trump, you are the Missus O'Leary's cow of this.

Speaker 2 (17:39):
Are you happy with yourself?

Speaker 7 (17:41):
Yeah? I started it all you did, so ped ask.

Speaker 2 (17:45):
Him about Elon and the Big Beautiful Bill. And now
look look at what you've caused. Yeah, yeah, that's right.
I started a lot here.

Speaker 7 (17:51):
But look, the President has made clear that the relationship
between the President and Elon Musk for now is not
a relationship. They do not have a future together. The
President and not pleased that Elon Musk came out against
that Big Beautiful Bill, not pleased about the things that
Elon must put out there on social media, some of.

Speaker 2 (18:11):
Which he's since taken down.

Speaker 7 (18:13):
The tying of Donald Trump to Epstein is one example
of that. But look, this is a relationship that a
lot of people said would not last.

Speaker 2 (18:22):
And for those that said that, they were pretty correct.

Speaker 3 (18:25):
All Right, there is this report ABC News is reporting,
among others, that the president is warning Elon Musk that
there will be serious consequences if the tech billionaire begins
funding Democrats. So I don't know if any of these
reports are true. But here's the bottom line. We were
all in awe of this coalition that formed. By the

(18:50):
time we got to the inaugural address, you had Google's
leader there, Bezos was there, Zuckerberg was there, Elon Musk
was there. Then you had Bobby Kennedy and Telsey Gabber
and both Democrat presidential candidates.

Speaker 2 (19:06):
Is this a chink in that armor? Is this beginning
to fall apart? Or is it just a Musk Trump thing?

Speaker 7 (19:12):
Well, I don't know. I don't think anybody knows for certain.
The midterms. You know we'll be here before you know it,
the twenty twenty six midterms. And we know that Elon
Musk opened up his checkbook, he spent over two hundred
and fifty million dollars just supporting Donald Trump alone in
his run for the presidency in twenty twenty four.

Speaker 2 (19:30):
And that's nothing to Elon Musk.

Speaker 7 (19:33):
So could he fund primary challengers to individuals who support
the big beautiful Bill. Yeah, that's within the realm of possibility.
Elon Musk has the funds to do that. I don't
know if he's going to do that. He alluded to
that in one of his social media posts, but that
is something that certainly would put a nail in the
proverbial coffin in terms of the relationships somehow sprouting up

(19:57):
again between Donald Trump and Elon Musk.

Speaker 2 (19:59):
Well, it's a game.

Speaker 3 (20:00):
John Decker, a White House correspondent, is joining us. That's
a dangerous game for Elon Musk too, who has already
got the left targeting him literally his dealerships. And then
you end up turning MAGA and Republicans against you.

Speaker 2 (20:13):
Who's left to buy your cars? Careful how you play that?

Speaker 3 (20:15):
Could this you know, I mentioned two three weeks ago,
me and David Sanati and it was from the Atlantic.
I mean, it wasn't like it was a secret. But
there's this story of biscent and Musk going at it.
A lot of f bombs, a lot of really close
body not pushing, but a very heated argument between percent
and now Fox is doing it like it's breaking news.

Speaker 2 (20:37):
And of course we talked about it over two and
a half weeks ago. Do I have this right? John?
Is it possible that this.

Speaker 3 (20:43):
Is Elon Musk not understanding maybe the Senate process, you know,
wanting to cut spending, add to doze a sensible budget.
He gets in a fight with Bissent, then he's waiting
for Trump to take his side. Trump doesn't take either side,
and then he starts fighting with Trump. Is that the
tantrum we're living out?

Speaker 2 (21:02):
How come regulation out there?

Speaker 7 (21:05):
Elon Musk did not make many friends within the Trump cabinet,
that's for sure, and that the the back and forth
with Scott Bessent, the Treasury secretary, is just one.

Speaker 2 (21:15):
Example of that.

Speaker 7 (21:16):
He also had, uh, you know, some feuds with other
members of the cabinet, including Mark or Rubio. And look,
I think that for Elon Musk, he is not used
to hearing the word no.

Speaker 2 (21:28):
You know, given you're the.

Speaker 7 (21:28):
Wealthiest person in the world, you can understand that. And
perhaps he doesn't understand. You know that there is a
process that must be taken in terms of moving legislation
forward in the House and the Senate. There's a process
for making cuts to government. You just can't, you know,
do it the way that Elon Musk is suggesting that
he wants to do it with the Government Efficiency Department. So,

(21:53):
you know, I think it was a steep learning curve
for Elon Musk in terms of the way the federal
government works. And now I'll lose cannon shaded John Decker.
We'll talk again tomorrow.

Speaker 3 (22:02):
Chris Walker is going to join us for the Republican
Party to talk a little bit about this Trump Musk
feud and how it may impact the Republican Party's momentum
and unity. You know, there's a lot of gray areas.
You know, even the Maga movement and the Trump popularity,
does that translate to the party nationwide in a midterm election?

Speaker 2 (22:24):
And if it.

Speaker 3 (22:25):
Does, and if the thing's doze has done, does what
does this feud do to that momentum and unity?

Speaker 2 (22:32):
Will do that more?

Speaker 3 (22:34):
Coming up with Chris Walker next hour, also a visit
with the sixteen time Grammy winner. He's worked with some
of the greatest artists of all time, and now he
has composed and written a hit Broadway show. It's out
in album form. We'll meet with David Foster coming up
in the third hour as well. By the way, I
I preface this by saying, does it matter what statistic

(22:57):
that's being kicked around, whether it's it's an inflation rate,
whether it's an employment rate. In this particular case, it
is US payrolls increasing one hundred and thirty nine thousand.
It's like every headline ends the same way. I almost
want to make a trivia question out of it. Headline
CNBC US payrolls increased one hundred and thirty nine thousand

(23:20):
dollars one hundred and thirty nine thousand in May. So
one hundred and thirty nine thousand increase in those on payrolls.
What do you think the next line is more than expected?
Why is it always more than expected? Because of the
persistent and consistent, negative, antagonistic narrative of the left. I'll

(23:48):
use a different analogy so you don't think I'm your
typical shirts and skins talk shows. I watched a lot
of people on the right root against America in order
to destroy Baraco I'm like, are you nuts? We're in
the back seat. Who sits in the back seat of
a car and roots against the driver, who sits in

(24:11):
coach on a plane and roots against the pilot. And
yet that's what everybody in the media is doing right now.

Speaker 2 (24:23):
Now.

Speaker 3 (24:23):
They don't have any influence, they don't have any audience,
they don't have any advertisers. It's an old playbook from
a game gone by, but they're still doing it. I
wonder why it doesn't ever scream to them this just
in this, just in headlines CNBC, we were wrong. US

(24:49):
payrolls increase to one hundred and thirty nine thousand in May,
more than expected, unemployment at four point two percent. But
we'll go into the real numbers and show you how
this isn't real success, and then we'll acknowledge that that
was wrong later with a more than expected Anyway, the

(25:09):
number of job jobs created were more than expected. Non
Farm payrolls rose one hundred and thirty nine thousand for
the month, above the Dow Jones estimate of one hundred
and twenty five thousand and a bit below. They downwardly
revised one hundred and forty seven thousand in April, the
unemployment rate held at four point two percent. As the
bottom line, workers pay grew more than expected. Everything's more

(25:32):
than expected. The average hourly earnings up zero point four
percent during the month and three point nine percent from
a year ago. That's pretty significant. Wait, come to think
of it, guys, have we got a three point nine
percent rise?

Speaker 2 (25:46):
I don't think so.

Speaker 3 (25:48):
Nearly half half the job growth came from the healthcare sector,
which added sixty two thousand, even higher than expected forty
four thousand. Watch how many how many times in this
story do they say higher than expected?

Speaker 2 (26:03):
It's the higher than expected.

Speaker 3 (26:04):
Presidency, leisure and hospitality contributed forty eight thousand, while social.

Speaker 2 (26:09):
Assistance that a sixteen thousand.

Speaker 3 (26:12):
On the downward side, government lost twenty two thousand jobs,
Like that's a bad thing. Most indicators showed that the
economy is still a good distance from a recession, but
sentiment surveys indicate high degrees of anxiety, and of course
that's due to uncertainty. Where is the fuel from uncertainty

(26:34):
coming from? No unresolved tariff negotiations? And that's your economic
news for this Monday, June the ninth.

Speaker 2 (26:42):
This is your Morning show with Michael del Chrono.

Speaker 3 (26:46):
We did the the iHeart Listen Live. What do you
call that? The app if you will Heart. We redesigned it.
That's going on what nine months ago, almost eight not
nine months ago, about five months ago, and we constantly

(27:07):
encourage people.

Speaker 2 (27:08):
It's kind of like the old fashioned radio. It makes
it really easy.

Speaker 3 (27:11):
