This is your morning show with Michael'bill Chrum.

Speaker 1 (00:33):

it's eight minutes after the hour. Welcome to Tuesday, August
the fifth. President Trump has sent envoys to Russia to
try to reach a ceasefire agreement. More on that in
just a second. We got a stalemate with Hamas and Israel.

(01:15):
Israel wants to go in and expand military operations. Hamas
wants humanitarian efforts taken care of first. That's a bit
of a stalemate, a stalemate in Texas where the governor
wants the Democrats back. The Democrats if they don't come back,
are going to be arrested. Meanwhile, New York, California threatening
to do some redistricting of their own, and National correspondent

(01:36):
Roy O'Neil has the very latest done. Democrats attempt to
stop the redistricting process in Texas and the state legislature
and its vote last night.

Speaker 3 (01:46):
Good morning, Rory, Hey, Good morning Michael.

Speaker 4 (01:49):
The Texas Democrats essentially fled the state, going to California, Illinois,
New York and beyond in order to prevent lawmakers from
having a quorum in the.

Speaker 3 (01:59):
Texas House of Presentatives. So on this.

Speaker 4 (02:03):
Measure to redraw the congressional districts. Again, this is happening
in an odd year, twenty twenty five. Typically this happens
a year or so after a census in an effort
to try to keep control of the US House of
Representatives and get more Republicans elected. They're trying to redraw
the districts to benefit Republican candidates in Texas.

Speaker 1 (02:24):
All right, so pretty clear that the Democrat strategy is
going to be will you do that. We'll do this
in New York, We're going to do this in California.
Both governors speaking out, what can Texas do? Because there
was no real I mean, you know, it's come back
or be arrested, but is it really arrested and charged?

Speaker 3 (02:42):
Not really? How's that all work? Worry? Yeah, it's civil,
it's not criminal.

Speaker 4 (02:47):
So yeah, it's not as if they're they're But I
think the bigger issue longer term is whether or not
they're removed from office.

Speaker 3 (02:55):
Being vacant by the governor. That could take some time.

Speaker 4 (02:58):
It's essentially going to be a pr stunt that will
likely fail in the end, but it is certainly drawing
that talking about it to this issue and then queuing
up governors like Governor Hokeel and Governor Newsom in Texas,
in New York and California to try to pull similar
tactics in their stand Texas is trying to make their

(03:19):
congressional seats more red. The threat is that New York
and California will do what they can to make their
states more blue to try to counter what Texas is
up to. And then this just sort of changes the
dynamics all around. So it seems that now every year
is almost a year when you can redraw the congressional maps.

Speaker 3 (03:38):
Typically it's been every ten years.

Speaker 4 (03:39):
Some states have independent commissions, others leave it more political,
and that seems to be.

Speaker 3 (03:44):
In the mixed round. Yeah, we're he's gonna be back
in the third hour.

Speaker 1 (03:48):
We're gonna talk more about decorating for the holidays and
how it may cost more. And I don't know why.
Jeffrey and I felt like if we stood a certain way,
is signal of it old. But I don't think it
add any Yeah, don't you like to nobody move now?

Speaker 3 (04:00):
It's not working.

Speaker 1 (04:01):
That's why we do. Lieutenant Colonel Carafunal right on the phone.
All right, there were so many things I wanted to
talk about. We got a bit of a stalemate in
the Middle East. We got China limiting the flow of
critical minerals coming to the Western defense companies, and that's
causing a hike and the magnets or the drone materials,

(04:21):
and then I thought, well, let's start at the top.
While everybody's talking about American Eagle jeans, we got nuke
subs off the coast of Russia. I don't know, is
there anything we need to be concerned with? Good morning,
Lieutenant Colonel.

Speaker 5 (04:34):
Yeah, well, I mean I don't think so in terms
of heading for the for the bunker. But it's very
very clear that President Trump is showing very strong signals
that he is done with the Russians.

Speaker 3 (04:47):
And it's interesting to kind of.

Speaker 5 (04:49):
Track, you know, all these sites on X that are
kind of pro Ukrainian and always kind of super critical
of the president every time he has your Russi and
dressing on a salad, and and sudden and now really saying, okay,
you know, Trump is really serious about Putin, and he

(05:09):
is I think, very very very very very serious, can
make a deal.

Speaker 1 (05:14):
But nuclear sub is he nuclear sub serious?

Speaker 3 (05:19):
I think?

Speaker 5 (05:20):
I mean, I think the nuclear subthing is is really
it's uh, it's diplomacy by other means, right, So very
clearly we don't have to move nuclear subs into Russian
closer to Russia to hit Russia with with ballistic missiles,
and we actually had we actually had subs on apparently

(05:42):
on station already. So this is just Trump really needling
the Russians, which is I think is you know, I mean,
I think it's great. I don't think it's done in
a dangerous way, but you know, the Russian talk is
incredibly reckless. And one of the problems that we've had
in the past, particularly the Bide deministration, is when the
Russians said these outrageous things, the Bide deministration took it

(06:06):
seriously like they were approaching some kind of Russian redline,
and we were kind of self limiting, self deterring ourselves
from doing things which are in our interests because we
can't spook the Russians.

Speaker 3 (06:16):
Well, Trump just said, you.

Speaker 5 (06:17):
Know what, I'm not playing that game anymore, And I
think that is an important message to send.

Speaker 1 (06:22):
It does it also send the message that if you
guys don't give up.

Speaker 3 (06:26):
First of all, I don't, I don't. I don't see how.

Speaker 1 (06:28):
They can have any ambitions of winning any of the
objectives they began with.

Speaker 3 (06:33):
So I don't know.

Speaker 1 (06:34):
Why they didn't take the face saving exit when they
had it, But is this sending the clear message that
if we don't get a deal by the end of
this ten days, we're not just going to be supplying.
We may be joining in in the effort. It's all
just the same same path of tightening.

Speaker 6 (06:56):
On.

Speaker 3 (06:57):
Well, I think there's a couple of buckets.

Speaker 5 (07:00):
One is additional sanctions, and you know it's not just
doing sanctions but actually enforcing.

Speaker 3 (07:06):
Them, right that really you know.

Speaker 5 (07:09):
The other one is frozen assets, which you again could
be on the table, and we don't have that much
frozen assets, but if we uh take and release our
frozen assets to the Ukrainians, that's a very powerful influence
on Europeans who have much more frozen assets. So that's
and the and the third one is arms, which we've

(07:30):
already been very clear that you know, Ukraine is going
to get the arms that needs, whether they you know,
buy them or loan, I don't know, but but but
the arms flow of the Ukraine from the US is
going to continue.

Speaker 3 (07:40):
And then the fourth one is the Donald Trump box.
And that's the.

Speaker 5 (07:44):
One that you know, just as much as I study
this guy is as much as I like what he does,
the guy always manages to surprise me.

Speaker 3 (07:53):
And come on, like, geez, why did I think of that?
Or oh my god, I'd never done that.

Speaker 5 (07:58):
And so there could be some and this is you know,
the one hallmark of Donald Trump is you know, people
will go in and they'll say, well, sir, you can't
do this. Yeah, well no, it's it's and he finds
a way to kind of test the proposition to do that.
So are there other things on the table that we
haven't thought of that Donald Trump might do?

Speaker 3 (08:18):
The answer is don't. Don't be surprised.

Speaker 1 (08:19):
If you're surprised, Lieutenant Colonel James Carafano is joining us.
We also have a stalemate in the Middle East. So
on one side, net Ya, who wants to expand military operations.
On the other side, Hamasas saying, well, we're not even
going to talk until this humanitarian situation chicken, egg, egg, chicken.

Speaker 3 (08:38):
Where do we go with this one?

Speaker 5 (08:40):
Well, I think, as with most of these things, when
you're faced with two options, the Trump response is, well,
I don't like those two options.

Speaker 3 (08:48):
I'm going to give you a third.

Speaker 5 (08:49):
And I think the third will be we will create
our own humanitarian pipeline, which is a in which marass
is relevant. And I think what we're going to do
is between the US and Israel, you know, forcibly start
trying to go after physically rescuing the last hostages that
are out there. And so it's I think we are

(09:12):
moving to a strategy that's Hamas independent. It doesn't matter
what Hamas does the US and is really is going
to work to secure interest which right now are control
of guys, making sure there's no humanitarian crisis and getting
the hostage back.

Speaker 1 (09:32):
Yeah, and some of the I mean, what do you
think the assessment is of whatever hostages remain in the
percentage of them being alive or near death or some
of the videos that we're seeing surface taking their own graves.
I mean, the President has been very consistent. He wants
humanitarian effort brought into these people, and he wants mouse

(09:52):
not to have any place. And that means even after
so I suspect, yeah, that's going to have to I
capitulate to Trump's third choice, right right.

Speaker 3 (10:03):
I don't think we're as still made.

Speaker 5 (10:04):
I mean, I think we're going to move forward, and
I think Trump's already said this is what's acceptable to me.
And honestly, I mean, I don't think the Israelis really
have a but I'm gonna say this is a very
powerful path because as they drive down that path, it
really sends the signal to the rest of the region

(10:24):
that this US Israeli partnership is really the force to
be reckoned with in the region. And I think that
that is going to have good things kind of tumble
out of that.

Speaker 1 (10:34):
Well, there's also some alliances with you know, Arab nations
as well that are going to help enforce it's really
a threat prong, which makes it very different moving forward.
All Right, China limiting the flow of critical minerals that
are needed for Western defense companies. Well, this is as
old as don't depend on Radical Islam for your energy

(10:56):
when you're at war with them, you know, China, this
is bad dependency. But I think President's ahead of the
curve on this with his minerals deal with Ukraine.

Speaker 3 (11:04):
Right and many others.

Speaker 5 (11:07):
Yeah, I think, what what the So we've actually.

Speaker 3 (11:10):
Got a kind of reverse problem with the Chinese on
AI chips.

Speaker 5 (11:14):
But what the Chinese are doing is essentially accelerating the
Trump strategy, which is We're going to get off dependencies
on China.

Speaker 3 (11:21):
The problem before always was that.

Speaker 5 (11:23):
You could build your you could mine and process anywhere
in the world you wanted to. The Chinese could always
drop commodity prices to the point where the people couldn't
compete economically, and then of course they could just raise
them again.

Speaker 3 (11:36):
I mean, it's a definition of monopoly.

Speaker 5 (11:38):
So the US strategies, look, we are going to create
options for mining and processing and so many of them
that the Chinese can't dominate the market. And what I'm
betting is in the end, the way we'll do with
the commodities issue is you know what, China find you
dropped the price as low as you want, go ahead

(12:00):
and we will buy up this stuff and we'll stockpilot.
And so I think in the end they're going to
the goal is to break the Chinese monopoly. The way
it works than the other thing is is we are
selling AI chips to China. The reason that we're doing
that is because if we completely cut them off, they

(12:20):
would accelerate their effort to develop their own AI chips, right,
So we know, event and we're making a lot of
money off of selling them to the Chinese. So eventually
the Chinese will make their own AI chips, right, and
they'll cut US off. But in the meantime, our companies
are making a lot of revenue, and the US strategy
is and if you look at the present's AI strategies,

(12:42):
we will sell AI chips to China, but we're going
to best so much in the AI space that we're
always going to be ahead of the Chinese.

Speaker 3 (12:49):
So that's the point.

Speaker 1 (12:50):
By the way, when you bring up monopoly, China controls
ninety percent of the world's rare earth minerals and materials
that are necessary for drones, magnets and so on. Don't
you think it's interesting if you put the matrix journalistic
social media dilemma divisions of politics in America, if you

(13:11):
just had a reasonable view, gosh, I feel like you
now remember when we fifteen years ago, you'd always met
the case.

Speaker 3 (13:17):
I'm not a Republican, I'm not a Democrat. So I'm
about to say something nice about the president, like I
gotta do a disclaimer.

Speaker 1 (13:22):
But I mean, you're missing the genius of Donald Trump
if you're caught in this political you know, stalemate fight
in America of left versus right and shorts versus skins.
The way he got out in front and made I
mean lemonade out of lemons in Ukraine and solved this.
I mean, it's well what Glenn Beck calls four dimensional

(13:42):
chess in a world of check.

Speaker 5 (13:44):
Well, it is a reminder that this is American politics
are not all about Donald Trump. We have we have
a fifty to fifty country led by two political parties
which are heading completely opt for dictions right and the
Modern Republican Party. He's a conservative party. The Modern Democratic
Party is a very liberal party. Uh.

Speaker 3 (14:04):
And the Americans have to make a choice.

Speaker 5 (14:06):
And the it's not just the con the contint Donald
Trump hating, but as you you know, talked about in
your last segment about reapportioning in Congress, that these are
two parties which are Democrat.

Speaker 3 (14:20):
The Democrats are losing the fight for the American voter.

Speaker 5 (14:26):
And what we've seen really kind of going back to
Russia Gate, UH, is they're they're looking for alternative instruments to.

Speaker 3 (14:36):
Maintain political power.

Speaker 5 (14:37):
They did this with the voting thing and attacking Republican
voting integrity laws. They they're they're doing this with their
re apportion and things. Is they are desperate to hold
on to political power because what what they're not doing
is they're not fighting for the voter.

Speaker 3 (14:54):
They're fighting for the votes.

Speaker 1 (14:56):
That's it and there, and there's split worsting you because
it's not just a conservative American party on the right
and a very liberal party going in a different direction
on the left. It's also a socialist slash communist and
emerging Islamist party as well. And it may not even
be one party anymore. Boy, I love love what you
said last week on the on the rise of the

(15:17):
Islamic Party. All right, last ten seconds.

Speaker 5 (15:19):
No, I was going to say to another good example,
this is not allowing any voice confirmation bugs. I mean,
that only works for the Democrats if they can get
power back and never give it up, because otherwise it's
a really stupid strategy set that president.

Speaker 2 (15:34):
This is your Morning Show with Michael del Chrono.

Speaker 1 (15:38):
Doobie Brothers back in the studio, kicked out a ten
track album Walk This Road, and now they're on the
road Detroit last night, coming to other your morning show cities.
A visit with Michael McDonald of the Doobie Brothers. Still
to come this morning, and we I would say, Sounds
of the Day. Who's the guy that we like so

(16:01):
much on CNN. He's like a lone voice on the right,
just got a network radio deal.

Speaker 3 (16:07):
Blank. Oh, I'm drawing a blank two.

Speaker 1 (16:12):
Because Harry Anton, I think is getting ready to take
his place. There's no question in my mind. Yes, Scott Jennings,
and you'll see the latest from Harry and on CNN
and our Sounds today and a tribute to Elizabeth Horn.
I might add as they have to own the direction
of this party. That more straight ahead, and your talkback's
using the iHeart app talkback button when your morning show continues.

Speaker 7 (16:35):
This is Josh and Montgomery, Alabama.

Speaker 6 (16:37):
My morning show is Your morning show is Michael dell Jorna.

Speaker 3 (16:47):
Hi, I'm Michael.

Speaker 1 (16:47):
I'd love to have you listen to your morning show
live every day. We're heard on great stations like News
Talk five point fifty k FYI and Phoenix News Radio
eleven ninety k EX in Portland and ten ninety The
Patriot in Seattle. Make us a part of your morning routine.
We'd love to have you listen love, but in the meantime,
enjoyed the podcast.

Speaker 3 (17:04):
Good morning, Michael.

Speaker 1 (17:06):
I'm just curious what kind of team sports.

Speaker 8 (17:08):
You played as a kid that made you want to
play shorts versus skins.

Speaker 1 (17:14):
If it's me, I want to be on the team
that gets to keep my shorts.

Speaker 3 (17:17):
Actually, i'm thinking back in eighth grade.

Speaker 1 (17:20):
First of all, we played shirts and skins in basketball,
and back in eighth grade, based on my abs at
that time, i'd rather gone shortless the shirtless.

Speaker 3 (17:30):
To be honest with you, did I say shorts and
skins instead of shirts and skins?

Speaker 1 (17:33):
Evidently you did well. I had my deacon over for
dinner last night. I like to say it that way.
He's also a very dear friend, and we had a
lot of fun, and I didn't get much sleep. So
maybe I'm slipping on certain words. And then I couldn't
remember Scott Jennings's name, and then I got you two
old farts. It can't even help me when I'm playing
password with myself senior moments.

Speaker 3 (17:50):
For at least I have lack of sleep. Rise and
Shine and early bird gets the worm.

Speaker 1 (17:56):
In the Eastern time zone, it is thirty six minute
after the hour, and you got twenty four minutes to
be to work by eight o'clock. Thanks for bringing us
along with you. This is your morning show. I'm Michael
del Jorno. There's not much left of my brain. But
I'm here to serve you. Jeffrey serv Did you mean
to do a Doobie Brothers song by the way.

Speaker 3 (18:12):
Yes, oh you did. Yeah. I was giving you a
chance to talk up your BA. That was actually before
Michael McDonald. Well, I built me raft.

Speaker 1 (18:21):
If you're just waking up, we got the Texas governor
threatening to arrest We've got governors in New York and
in California threatening to do redistricting of their own. More
childish political actions, the Trump administration setting a special envoy
to Russia to negotiate a last chance for Ukraine ceasefire
John Decker with more on that in a second, and

(18:44):
the left's attempt at canceling and political correctness is backfired again.
Chick fil A style shares of American Eagle are surging
after the retailer received praise from the President then got
a big check from Elon Musk donating to Trump super Pack.
Obviously that feud has healed. Do we have Decker, John Decker?

(19:07):
Of course, I presume. Are you in the Heineken sponsored
chair outside the Oval office.

Speaker 8 (19:15):
That's you know, Look, I'm a brand ambassador, so that's
the reason why you need to.

Speaker 1 (19:20):
Send me do you need to re send me that picture?
I accidentally deleted it and I want to. I forgot
to share it the other day on my Facebook and
I got permission to do so.

Speaker 3 (19:28):
I want people to see the beautiful view.

Speaker 1 (19:31):
What is it always sunny with birds chirping when you're
doing your job there?

Speaker 6 (19:35):
Yeah, some days it's like that. Today it's a quality day.

Speaker 8 (19:38):
But when you have a beautiful day, it's It's one
of the most beautiful places I think in this country,
and that is the White House and being able to
work there every day is a great privilege. I never
take it for granted. And yesterday we had a great
day here in d C.

Speaker 1 (19:53):
Yeah, let's let's start with a little bit about the
the envoy and the message the envoy is going to
be delivering in Russia on behalf of President Trump. And
we talked about we had a great caller earlier on
time to play because it would have taken up your time.
But he's talking about, you know, all subs are nuclear power.
That doesn't mean there's nuclear weapons on board, but positioning
subs off the coast of Russia, sending the envoy the

(20:16):
clock ticking on what was originally fifty days then shortened.
This is the last chance for a ceasefire and peace
talks with Russia. What might that message be and how
might put and receive it?

Speaker 8 (20:28):
Well, this is Steve Whitcoff that we're talking about. He's
a special envoy.

Speaker 6 (20:31):
He's met with Putin a.

Speaker 8 (20:33):
Number of times, most recently in April. This visit that
he's making to Russia comes just days before Michael that
deadline that has been set by President Trump to Russia,
and the deadline is come to the negotiating table to
end the war in Ukraine or face differ economic tariffs

(20:54):
not only for Russia but also for all the countries
that you trade with.

Speaker 3 (20:59):
Those are known as sex and dary tariff's.

Speaker 8 (21:01):
So this visit to Russia, likely between whitcoffs and Putin,
will happen tomorrow and we'll see if any movement can
be made in terms of Russia ending this war in Ukraine.

Speaker 1 (21:13):
All right, So presuming they don't, has there been any talk?
I mean, I'm presuming it's really tightening up, you know,
sanctions on Russia, you know, cutting off trade or penalizing
with terriffs anybody that trades with them. I think India
may have gotten in some hot water doing that, bought

(21:34):
some oil from Russia, and the president's now considering that
a bluff call and he's going to raise the tariffs
on India or may have thrown that into a wrench.
But what do we think the consequences will be if
these witcough talks don't work?

Speaker 8 (21:48):
Well, it's just what you mentioned, you know. I wouldn't
dismiss India's purchases of Russian oil is they're one of
their biggest customers. They purchased a significant amount of oil
from Russia, as does China, and the President has said
if you do business with Russia and that deadline comes
and goes, you will face these secondary tariffs one hundred

(22:09):
percent tariffs on your goods coming into the US. So
right now as things Stan Michael, India come Thursday will
be hit with a twenty five percent tariff that's going
to go up significantly if that deadline comes and goes
and Putin doesn't make any moves to come to the
negotiating table.

Speaker 1 (22:28):
Now, John Decker joining US White House correspond do we
have like a minute or so more?

Speaker 3 (22:33):
Yes? Oh good. I did a.

Speaker 1 (22:35):
Piece of research from Rasmussen in the first hour of
the show, and there's not a lot of things that
seventy percent of the American people agree on. Seventy percent
of the American people, over two thirds agree there needs
to be justice if there's been any criminal activity with
Russia Gate.

Speaker 3 (22:53):
That's more than two thirds.

Speaker 1 (22:55):
And by the way, for all the sweeping under the rug,
because again, if these Obama officials created this story of
Hillary's campaign paid for this story, it was the media
that then sold it.

Speaker 3 (23:06):
They're not covering it.

Speaker 1 (23:07):
But that's not stopping people because the majority are still
following this and they want justice, and they got the
first words from Bondi yesterday on that.

Speaker 3 (23:16):
Well, that's right.

Speaker 8 (23:17):
So what she has done is she's impaneled a grand
jury and they will look in to see whether any
criminal activity was involved as it relates to, as you
call it, Russia Gate, whether any officials that worked in
the Obama administration committed any kind of criminal wrongdoing, and
we'll see where that investigation goes, where that grand jury

(23:37):
investigation goes. Grand juries are secret, so we won't know
the efforts by the grand jury if and when there
is any kind of criminal indictments that are brought up
by the grand jury.

Speaker 1 (23:50):
Now does this usually progress to a special prosecutor being named,
then charges being filed and trials happening.

Speaker 8 (23:56):
And.

Speaker 6 (23:58):
Yeah, much of what you say is what it would
progress to.

Speaker 8 (24:01):
This is literally the initial stage of an investigation. And
you know, obviously Pam Bondi feels it's necessary to impanel
a grand.

Speaker 6 (24:11):
Jury to look into this manner, and that's.

Speaker 8 (24:14):
Exactly what she's done. This comes just weeks after I
asked the President who does he believe should be the
focus of the investigation. At the time, he said to
me Barack Obama without missing a beat. But then he
told me last week he acknowledged that Barack Obama is
helped by that Supreme Court immunity decity, so no charges
will be brought against former President Barack Obama.

Speaker 1 (24:36):
Yeah, it's usually never a president, although it would stain
his legacy. It'll probably be some of the people that
carried it out. And then the media, of course, it's
trying to ignore it. This is now a mandate of
the American people, if true, wanting accountability. This is more
than just political partisan political weaponry. This is something the
American people are wanting because if it happened, it must

(24:57):
never happen again. White House correspondent John Deck, thank you
so much for joining us. We'll talk again tomorrow. Appreciate
you very much. All Right, it's forty three minutes after
the hour. If you're just waking up, these are your
top five stories of the day. We mentioned President Trump
is sending that special envoy to Russia, Steve Witkoff, and
this is it last chance for Vladimir Putin in Russia

(25:20):
to find a way to come to the table for
a ceasefire with Ukraine.

Speaker 9 (25:24):
Steve Winkoff hems there as a ceasfire. Dentline that Trump'm
host on Russia expires on Friday. Trump has grown increasingly
frustrated with what he calls Vladimir Putin's inaction toward any
sort of ceasfire deal. The President has threatened Moscow with
tough tariffs if no deal is reached.

Speaker 3 (25:39):
I'm Mark Neefield.

Speaker 1 (25:40):
The Department of Justice is convening a grand jury in
the Russia election probe.

Speaker 10 (25:44):
Fox News says Attorney General Pam Bondi has signed off
on the move. It comes after Director of National Intelligence
Tulsey Gabbard released new documents she said proves former Obama
officials tried to sabotage President Trump in the twenty sixteen election.
Gabbard says the officials, acting on the direction of the
former president, suppressed evidence that showed there was no collusion

(26:06):
between President Trump and Russia.

Speaker 3 (26:08):
I'm Brian shuk Well. Thanks to social media.

Speaker 1 (26:10):
Sleep with teens is always a big issue, but a
lot of kids are going back to school even as
we speak, and the Cleveland Clinic is offering tips on
getting children back to an earlier sleep schedule with the
school year starting.

Speaker 3 (26:22):
Tammy Trihello has more.

Speaker 11 (26:23):
Sleep specialist doctor Brian Chen advise his parents to start
gradually getting children to bed earlier because that will be
a lot easier than a flip to earlier bedtime at
the last minute right before that first day of school.

Speaker 7 (26:34):
In the summer, we tend to go to bed later.
The sun is setting later, our body's natural circadian rhythm,
our clock in our brain is set for later, and
so we might be going to bed a lot later
than we normally would be for school.

Speaker 11 (26:46):
He says having a good bedtime routine also helps, and
advises against phones, other screens, and bright lights right before bed.
He says blackout curtains should be considered to block out sunlight.
I'm Tammy triheo.

Speaker 1 (26:57):
Just thinking us three numskulls. We're about ninety days aware,
sixty days away from our two year anniversary. We still
don't have our sleep schedule, right. Sean Dinny Combs denied
bail once again.

Speaker 12 (27:09):
The entertainment mogul was denied bail for a second time
on Monday, with the order saying he failed to satisfy
his burden to demonstrate an entitlement to release. Colmebs was
convicted of two counts of interstate prostitution, but was acquitted
of the more serious federal charges against him last month.
He is set to be sentenced on October third. Jonathan

(27:30):
ol Huller in NBC News Radio New York.

Speaker 1 (27:33):
The more proof of the death of wokeness, the silence culture.
It's not working in fact. Shares of American Eagle surged
after the retailer received praise from the President. Yesterday, Mark
Miatfield is back to fill us in.

Speaker 9 (27:46):
Trump complimented American Eagles marketing campaign with actor Sidney Sweeney,
which since stocks up twenty percent. The President addressed the
controversial ad campaign with a post on truth of social
writing Sydney Sweeney, a registered Republican, has got the hottest
ad out there, Sweeney's ad with American Eagle that sparked
public pushback over at slogan. Sydney Sweeney has great geens,

(28:07):
leaving some to say the remark was a double entendre.

Speaker 3 (28:10):
I'm Mark Mayfield. If I said pants and skins, that
was a really biggie. Yeah, you shouldn't have done that.

Speaker 1 (28:16):
To go back and research that that it is, Oh sorry,
I'm back. Today is International Traffic Light Day. Oh you
don't appreciate him till they're out breed Tennis with more
on the frustrating piece of equipment that is never the
right color when you need it, but necessary to keep
us all moving and safe.

Speaker 13 (28:33):
The first traffic light was installed in Cleveland, Ohio, back
in nineteen fourteen. Back then it was basic, with one
sign for stop and one for go. Now we have
three lights with a transitional yellow that is meant to
slow you down, but they intsb says, more than half
of us see yellow and speed up. Most are synchronized
to offer a green wave pattern, but if you're even

(28:54):
a second off, that green turns to red and if
you run it it's going to cost you about five
hundred bucks. I'm Bree Tennis.

Speaker 2 (29:01):
It's Your Morning Show with Michael del Chorno.

Speaker 1 (29:06):
Like one oh five f with BB and Booger in
the morning and our trivia question of the day. The
Doobie Brothers had two number one songs.

Speaker 3 (29:14):
Can you name Him? Used to tuck back Button?

Speaker 1 (29:17):
And we've we've got a Your Morning Show shammy for
you now.

Speaker 3 (29:23):
I was just looking over the stats of the Doobie Brothers.

Speaker 1 (29:25):
Yeah, two number ones, five top tens, sixteen top forty songs.

Speaker 3 (29:31):
That's pretty good slugging percentage. One of the two number ones.

Speaker 1 (29:35):
I'll get it that four Grammy Awards, Rock and Roll
Hall of Fame in twenty twenty and Songwriters Hall of
Fame in June of this year. And they're back together.
They just got out of the studio. They caught a
ten track album, Walk This Road, their first in forty years,
and on tour. They kicked off the North American tour
last night in our Your Morning Show city of Detroit, Michigan,

(29:57):
not far from where I was born in Flint. They'll
be coming Eanklin, Tennessee, Saint Louis and many of our
Your Morning show cities. They're back together after forty years.
We're gonna visit with Michael McDonald's coming up in about
ten minutes. He'll be joining us. That's a thrill you
can't get. Neither one of you have a guess. I
wont number one yet? What do you think there are
two number one hits?

Speaker 3 (30:16):
Were Well, one's got to be blackwater? Will that built
me raftin? She's rid if full fluid? Yes, and I'm
going to go with real No what a full believes?

Speaker 7 (30:33):
Oh the kip of some price becket long ago.

Speaker 1 (30:39):
So you're not supposed to do that on the Mixed
morning show. You don't give the answer. The callers are
supposed to give the answer. Now, what do we do
with the callers? What do we do with the shammy?
I want the shammy please. This is a quick little
feature moment, kind of a tease for sounds of the
day next hour. But some of you'll be at work
by them. This is a big thing we've been following,
and that is the Democrat's got to own mom Donnie.

(31:01):
It can't really because they're three different parties right now,
about to be four.

Speaker 3 (31:06):
But here's the problem.

Speaker 1 (31:08):
As they go Socialist as they go communist as they
go Islamist. What's the rest of the party do, Does
it denounce it or embrace it? Well, John had stephen A.
Smith that last night I found a brief six seconds
where stephen A was allowed to speak here, how that
one went.

Speaker 3 (31:26):
Part of the party of.

Speaker 9 (31:32):
Pocahontas squad members.

Speaker 6 (31:38):
Of this.

Speaker 4 (31:40):
That you gonna throw your boy to the bus like that?

Speaker 3 (31:41):
So on, you know, good and well. I would to
vote for Mom Donnie. I want to vote ALC.

Speaker 4 (31:45):
I don't like the way Jasmin Crockett is talking.

Speaker 3 (31:47):
I don't think that helps the.

Speaker 1 (31:48):
Democratic the last question, I mean it was just a
beautiful moment, all right. So for stephen A. Smith, No,
I reject Mom Donnie. I reject this could be a
problem is Mom Donnie is likely to win the mayor's
office in New York City. Now you gotta do something
with them. AOC is gonna be the front early front

(32:09):
runner for the presidential nomination of the Democrat Party. I mean,
it's not as simple as just rejecting. It's what they've become.
But look at stephen A. Smith clearly rejecting O. That
is not who we are. What about Elizabeth Warren how

(32:31):
does she feel about mom?

Speaker 3 (32:33):
Donnie?

Speaker 14 (32:33):
Listen when someone stands up and says, I will lead
this city by making it more affordable. And here are
my plans, real plans, Plans to deliver on childcare, plans
to deliver unhousing, plans to deliver an experiment. We're going
to try things on groceries. That is the Democratic message.

Speaker 3 (32:56):
Stephen A.

Speaker 1 (32:56):
Smith, No, no, no, man, those people aren't me. Elizabeth Warren,
that is the Democrat message. By the way, this is
her on with MSNBC and I love and this is
no CNBC and this is CNBC.

Speaker 3 (33:11):
And watch the host just keep shooting her down. Listen.

Speaker 15 (33:15):
The issue is affordability. Do you know how many working
families are chased out of New York City every day
because they can't afford housing, they can't afford groceries, they
can't afford childcare.

Speaker 3 (33:27):
What Zauran is.

Speaker 15 (33:28):
Saying is I want people to be able to afford
to live in New York City. That's what keeps it
a vibrant city, that's what makes people want to leave.

Speaker 9 (33:36):
Nobody disagrees with that senator, But raising taxes in order
to do it, Oh, why is.

Speaker 3 (33:41):
That the answer?

Speaker 1 (33:41):
Oh?

Speaker 15 (33:42):
Dear, are you worried that billionaires are going to go hungry.

Speaker 9 (33:45):
No, I'm worried that they're going to leave and spend
their money elsewhere.

Speaker 3 (33:48):
They've threatened to do that over and over, and now
they have. Here's the thing and golden sacks. When they
create new jobs, they do it in Dallas. Blackstone won't
build a new headquarter.

Speaker 15 (33:57):
You want to have a workable city, You want to
have this well.

Speaker 1 (34:01):
First of all, obviously falling down didn't knock any sense
into her. Secondly, I mean, you can tell these New
Yorkers want her to just go back to massive to
get out of here. But that's the split there's going
to be though. This is that the socialist Justice Democrats
are in bed now with the communist Islamist Democrats, and

(34:22):
for traditional Democrats, they're looking for the emergency exit.

Speaker 2 (34:28):
We're all in this together. This is Your Morning Show
