O'Dell Jordan.
Speaker 1 (00:36):
Seven minutes after the hour, Good morning, and welcome to Tuesday,
August and nineteenth, twenty twenty five, which seems to be
so far all about Monday, August the eighteenth, and that
meeting at the White House with President Trump, Zelensky and
many European leaders and what comes of it and what
is next Ukrainian presidents. Lensky says, no date has been
(00:57):
set and there seems to be a question as to
whether or not there will be a bilateral meeting next
or a trilateral meeting next. And thanks to the question
from our White House correspondent John Decker, we find out
that the president is laser focused on ending the war
and lasting peace, and he doesn't necessarily think the next
step is a cease fire. As he's shown in other
(01:17):
areas and other conflicts, you can go directly to an
end of a war and peace and lasting piece. My
biggest concern heading into this is it's hard enough to
get two nations that are at war with each other
to find common ground and achieve peace. It's even more
complicated when you start entering all the European leaders. Now
(01:38):
you got all these chefs in the kitchen, how do
you craft a deal that pleases everyone. Pinch hitting for
James Carafano, who's traveling is Heritage fellow Michael Gonzalez.
Speaker 3 (01:50):
Mike, good morning. Great to have you with us.
Speaker 4 (01:52):
I didn't realize I was pinch hitting for Jim.
Speaker 1 (01:55):
Yes, yes, benchhitting for the big guy. We're sitting him
on the bench for you. Hey, it's great to meet you.
You know we usually whenever Carafouinal's not here, we usually
do Bucci. That's an eighteen year relationship with both of them.
But it's always good to meet you, and I can
always trust great minds at the Heritage Foundation. Did you
(02:15):
have similar concerns as I did. You get that many
people in the room. It's important that everybody's on the
same page before we moved forward. But man, that's a
lot of people to please in one room.
Speaker 4 (02:25):
Yeah, you know what, I actually look at it from
another perspective. I was very happy to see all those
European leaders in the Oval Office listening to Trump. What
a difference. What a difference from a year ago when
they were rolling their eyeballs or going into the forest
(02:46):
to look for our president because he had wandered off.
This was a meeting in which they were there and
then they sat around the table in the East Room,
but then they went to the Oval Office and set
it on the president in the president was leaving the
free world. And it's good to see all that, all
the economic power there. Because the next phone call is
(03:10):
to China. China, I think kind of I think hold
the cards here. China can just call Putin and say
this is just getting too expensive for us, right because uh,
you know, they buy Russian oil. Let's not let's not
forget what happened on the Biden. China and Russia became
allied on the Biden. Now we need to desegregate them.
(03:33):
And just as we have put tariffs in India, if
all of us, including the Europeans who are not good
at this, they wanted to buy Russian gas, remember to
this is the beginning of all this.
Speaker 5 (03:45):
If if we.
Speaker 4 (03:46):
Now call China, all of them and say, you know,
you gotta stop buying Russian oil uh or We're gonna
parash you. The next phone call is she to putin
and saying you know, I'm you gotta stops too much money.
Speaker 1 (04:01):
Yeah, that's both that's both a next play and problematic.
Speaker 3 (04:05):
I'll get to that in a second.
Speaker 1 (04:06):
I want to go back to your first observation because
it got me thinking. I brought this up earlier, how
you had all these leaders in the Oval Office and
there was no question who the chef was and who
the Sioux chefs were. So this was Donald Trump shining
as a world leader. It was an unmistakable visual and
(04:32):
and and it's earned and I but I want to
ask you, I'm trying to remember the last president in
such a bit. As much as I love John F. Kennedy,
he wasn't a world leader. He inspired the world, he
was loved by the world, but he was perceived as
you know, Khrush Chef was you know, the power. I
think you got to go back to Ronald Reagan to
have such a moment where a president is actually in
(04:55):
a position of being a world leader.
Speaker 4 (04:58):
Yeah, that's exactly right. Jack Kennedy, you know, obviously he
really dazzled.
Speaker 6 (05:03):
The goal, the goal.
Speaker 4 (05:05):
You know, a good Frenchman fell in love with Jackie
Jackie Kennedy. Uh, and he found jfk glamorous. But really
is Reagan? Reagan who who who in his alliance with thatcher? Uh?
And they did rally the world. They rally Europe even
a socialist. I lived in France in nineteen eighty four
(05:28):
and the president was a socialist, and even he even
he agreed with Reagan on the missiles in placing the
intermediate missiles in Europe in the media range missiles in Europe.
So so so Yeah, No, that was really People forget that,
People forget the alliance with Thatcher and then the rest
(05:49):
of the world.
Speaker 1 (05:50):
That was the checkmate that led to the obvious mister
Gorbachev tear down this wall.
Speaker 3 (05:55):
And he did.
Speaker 4 (05:56):
Yeah, because even Bush, even Bush whom I served under
but earlier the journal I was based in Brussels, and
I'll tell you I had a first hand I was,
you know, I sold firsthand how Branson Grumany went one
way on the Shirakan Shridder and then Toley Blair and
(06:16):
Jose Maria Aslay in Spain, in bertlus Sony allied with Bush.
But Europe was completely divided. This was not a divided
in Europe yesterday. This was not two thousand and three.
This is a very different thing. And I think you
Ryan Michael in hearkening back to Reagan.
Speaker 1 (06:33):
Mike Gonzalez join us with the Herriage Foundation on the
historic meeting yesterday and where it goes from here. The
problem is the president also has another ball he's juggling,
which is the tariffs and leveling the playing field and
building industry because we want to create industry and jobs
and products. That's how you ultimately fight inflation. It'll come
(06:54):
with a price tag. You mentioned that he hit India
with terriffs for buying oil from Russia. If he do
the same with China, you don't have a deal with
China yet and that could blow that up. So that's
equally problematic. I think the President's handled this very wisely.
I think you know, he's trying to get to peace
and lasting peace. He somehow got Putin to agree. And
I think this is the biggest game changer, which is
(07:17):
Article five type protections. Ukraine will not be in NATO,
we know that, but they're gonna get all the benefits
of being in NATO, and Putin's willing to agree on it.
I think that shows you a lot of Putin's hand
that he would cave on that so quickly.
Speaker 4 (07:31):
Yeah, I don't know how that's gonna work out, by
the way, No, I don't either, but but yeah, I
hear that they're trying to to wriggle this out, and
I'm very happy. I'm with you. I think it just
can be done fantastic, especially with no American involvement, to
no American involvement in terms of truth so boots on
(07:51):
the ground or anything like that, which is which I
don't think anybody would before. But no, I think I
think that would be a very good thing. And uh again,
I got to tell you, by the way, you mentioned
the tariffs. One thing I picked up yesterday is that
some people are saying that the fact that he negotiated
Trump that is with the European leaders over tariffs so
(08:14):
strenuously in the last six months created a working relationship
that already existed. And by the time this situation comes around,
they already know each other, and they already have a
certain comfort with each other, and they trust them because
they have seen them act on tariffs. So the tariff,
obviously that's not the reason why it was done, but
(08:35):
the TERRORF negotiations may have led to the good relationship.
The Europeans, who love to harp, love to complain nothing
but praise. The mainstream media is saying that the praising
Trump to play out for him. The mainstream media had
a lot of eggonis face at this moment.
Speaker 3 (08:56):
Yeah, lots of it.
Speaker 1 (08:57):
Senior fellow at the Heriess Foundation, Mike Gonzalez's jous all right,
so there seems to be some and I was I
played in our sounds today. Zelensky in a in a
in an impromptu interview outside the White House. Uh, is
the next step a bilateral meeting with Putin and Zelenski
or a trilateral meeting? Is that two steps are one
(09:18):
And I guess that depends on what putin In says on.
Speaker 4 (09:20):
Right, Okay, So they're saying, first of Bilat. I don't
see Putin agreeing to a Bilat Zelenski, but but that's
what they're saying. There's gonna be the next one in
the Bilat, and then Trump after the Bylat, Trump will
join and make it a trilateral if that happens that way,
(09:42):
and it will be impossible to deny from the Nobel
Peace Prize because that will truly mean that we're that
piece is at hand. But I just gotta be I'm
an optimusity guy, you know, I'm very cheerful generally. This
is a big lift bilt between Bluten and Zonk. I
(10:03):
like to see that, but I don't know if it's
in the carriage right away.
Speaker 3 (10:06):
Yeah, I wanted that one too.
Speaker 1 (10:07):
And then the President making it clear that he doesn't
think a ceasefire is necessarily necessary before an end of
war and putting together a plan.
Speaker 3 (10:16):
For lasting peace.
Speaker 1 (10:17):
Well, I think he's proven that in other regions already,
and sometimes a lot of these ceasefires are just a
regroup re arm and don't really lead to anything.
Speaker 3 (10:25):
He may be right.
Speaker 1 (10:26):
Is that kind of changing the way we normally view
these things?
Speaker 4 (10:30):
Yeah, I mean, look the example of that, we really
have a real time example Is, and with Israelis and Gaza,
how many sea fires have there been and it has
got Have we gotten any lasting piece there? No? I mean,
that's a very simple, separate situation. The analogy goes so far.
Obviously Amas visa surrender, that's what needs to happen there.
(10:53):
But the search for a seasefire there has not worne fruit.
Speaker 1 (11:00):
Well, if Putin's open to, you know, allowing security guarantees
for Ukraine, that's a huge hurdle. If they're willing to
go back to yeah, and if they're willing to go
back to the geography before the invasion, and Zelensky's willing
to do that, and both sides appeared to be very
(11:21):
interested in ending this. Putin because any delusion of grandeur
that he can take Ukraine is out the window, let
alone reassemble the Russian map from the Russian empires. So
he's in a no win situation. I think he's ready
for I mean, if both parties are ready for it
to end, and two of the three biggest hurdles have
been achieved, why isn't there reason to be optimistic?
Speaker 4 (11:43):
I am, I'm very optimistic overall. This is the most
optimistic I have been in this three and a half
year war, and you're absolutely right. Everyone thought, including me,
it was going to be a cakewalk to chieve that
did not happen. The Ukrainians were very very brave, very
careers and then became very clear to putin that that
(12:04):
that that that taken over Ukraine will be following a porcupine.
Uh so so so no that that also I think
that he has also incentives to to to reach an
agreement and take his goal and go home.
Speaker 3 (12:18):
Well.
Speaker 1 (12:20):
Carafano traveling out of the country, Steven Bucci home, ill,
Mike Gonzales. Our bench is deep. Thanks for filling in,
and thanks for your insights, and thanks for your service
to our country.
Speaker 3 (12:31):
By the way, I think.
Speaker 1 (12:33):
I hit the wall.
Speaker 4 (12:34):
No, no, no, I don't want to any stolen ballor I
had not spurred me.
Speaker 3 (12:41):
It was great to meet you by phone, Mike, God
bless you.
Speaker 7 (12:44):
This is your morning show with Michael del Trono.
Speaker 8 (12:48):
Anybody have an update on Hurricane Eron. Looks like it's
due west now category three. Anything on this thing coming
towards the US, you or.
Speaker 3 (12:59):
Your wishes our command.
Speaker 1 (13:00):
Aeron is now a Cat three hurricane as it moves
east to the Bahamas.
Speaker 3 (13:03):
Mark Mayfield has your answer, Big John.
Speaker 9 (13:06):
As of Monday night, the stormhead maximum sustained winds of
one hundred and twenty five miles per hour, where casters
say Hurricane Aeron is expected to bring high surf and
possible tropical storm conditions to part of the Bahamas and
the US Atlantic coast. North Carolina's outer banks could see
coastal flooding and tropical storm conditions late Wednesday.
Speaker 3 (13:24):
I'm Mark Mayfield. Don't even bother looking at your lottery tickets.
It rolled over again. We had no winners.
Speaker 10 (13:29):
There was no grand prize winner on Monday night, pushing
the already massive jack bought up to an estimated six
hundred and forty three million dollars. Taking the cash option
on that would net you nearly two hundred and ninety
one million. Of course, striking your rich is anything but easy.
Odds of walking away with all that money are roughly
one in two hundred and ninety two million. The next
drawing is coming up on Wednesday. I'm Tammy TRUHEO.
Speaker 3 (13:52):
Well, it's number four on my list.
Speaker 1 (13:55):
If we could just a get a zero base prioritize
balance budget, no continuing relus one budget in line with
two year congressional terms, a flat and fair tax system
for everybody to have a little skin in the game,
term limits, and number four just paper in person voting.
I said, if you could do those four things, this
(14:16):
republic would last on autopilot. Well, that's exactly where the
President's eyes are on number four on that list, eliminating
mail in ballots.
Speaker 3 (14:24):
Ahead of the midterm elections.
Speaker 5 (14:26):
The President shared a post on truth Social which outlined
his plan to lead a movement to get rid of
mail in ballots, and it targets what he called highly inaccurate,
very expensive, and seriously controversial voting machines.
Speaker 4 (14:39):
Ballots are corrupt mail in ballots, so you can never
have a real democracy with mail in ballots.
Speaker 5 (14:47):
Trump has previously claimed there's been widespread voter fraud involving
mail in ballots and pledged to fight for election integrity.
Speaker 3 (14:55):
I'm Brian Shook.
Speaker 1 (14:56):
Newsmax is agreeing to pay sixty seven million dollars to
settle a lawsuit with Dominion Voting Systems.
Speaker 3 (15:02):
Matt Mattinson has more.
Speaker 6 (15:03):
The cable channel is expected to pay Dominion twenty seven
million dollars this month, and another forty million dollars in
the next two years. The lawsuit was filed against Newsmas
in twenty twenty one and stems from claims that the
twenty twenty election results were fraudulent. Fox News also settled
with Dominion in a similar lawsuit, which saw a seven
hundred and eighty seven million dollars settlement in twenty twenty three.
(15:25):
I'm at Mattinson.
Speaker 1 (15:26):
I love them fried, I love them baked and loaded.
Today's a day I can celebrate National Potato Day pre
Tennis with more on celebrating the humble little spud.
Speaker 11 (15:36):
The National Potato Council says Idaho grows the most spuds
in the country, about fourteen billion pounds every year, and
that's good because the average American needs about one hundred
and twenty pounds to them yearly. They grow in every state,
even on the International Space Station. Many vodkas are made
from them. You can power a clock with one for
about a day, but French pride is the number one choice.
(15:58):
I'm pre Tennis.
Speaker 4 (16:02):
I'm actor jeff E Howard and my morning show is
Your Morning Show with Michael Del Jorno aka Pezz the Boy. Hi.
Speaker 1 (16:16):
It's Michael, your Morning Show can be heard weekday mornings

San Diego, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Sacramento. We'd love to
be a part of your morning routine or thrilled you
here now enjoy the podcast. This show belongs to you.
At your morning show, I'm Michael del Joorno read missing
(16:36):
most of the morning. I don't know where he just
went for twenty minutes. Jeffrey keeping an eye on the
sounds and your talkbacks. Can't have your morning show without
your voice, you said, talkback button on your iHeartRadio app.
Speaker 3 (16:48):
All right, a little alone time together, you know. I think.
Speaker 1 (16:54):
I think there's enough that Putin has shown of his hand,
certainly Zelensky, that these two are tired of fighting. Nothing's
going to change. Russia is going to get no more territory.
They're not going to get Ukraine. They're not going to
reassemble the Russian Empire map. It's over and they're done fighting,
(17:15):
and it's senseless to lose any more lives. When will
it happen, I don't know. Hopefully Yesterday's meetings will create
the next step, whether it's a bilateral or trilateral meeting.
I agree with the President that I don't think there
has to be a cease fire before this war can
be solved. Other wars have been solved without them. Cease
(17:38):
Fires have really been a regroup time and a rearm
time in other conflicts. I think the biggest takeaway from yesterday,
you know, and it doesn't matter. I mean, I guess
you could put on some of these leftist networks in
the matrix and they won't show you the pictures, but
the Internet is flooded with the visual. Visual is everything.
(18:01):
Donald Trump in the Oval Office, sitting behind the desk
with all these European leaders in front of the desk listening.
And so when we were visiting with Mike Gonzales, he
brings up this notion of Donald Trump no longer a
leader in this negotiation for peace, but Donald Trump is
a world leader. And when you contrast that to the
(18:23):
previous presidency, it's breathtaking. So I know, and I don't
want to be like, you know, a narrative repeater or
a talking point repeater. But the Democrats have been dying
on a lot of unwinnable Hills, and they find themselves
in their Trump derangement and obstructionism, fighting for crime, fighting
(18:50):
for open borders, fighting for wars to continue. I mean,
if you make the goal to be the opposite of
Donald Trump and he's doing things right, that makes you
doing things wrong and stupid over and over again. And
while they're playing the game of how dumb they think
you are, I think a lot of Americans are seeing
(19:14):
them being childish, stunty political well, the presidents showing world leadership.
I mean, at some point, how close is Donald Trump
at this moment, two hundred and fifty sixty days into
(19:36):
this second term, approaching an unmatched level as greate as
president ever. I mean, I'm hanging on to Washington, I'm
hanging on to Lincoln, hanging on to Reagan. But it's
getting harder and harder. I mean, Donald Trump has gone
(19:57):
so much further than even our highest hopes. Somebody once
said to me, why do you support Rubio over Cruz?
And I gave him one of those answers that doesn't
really answer the question, because I didn't really want to
go there. It's not worth us dividing ourselves when we're
on the same side of worldview and policy view. I
(20:19):
just simply replied, well, the idea of Ted Cruz was
always better to me than the actual Ted Cruz, and
that's why I lean towards Marco Rubio. The idea of
Donald Trump has so I mean, at least me, did
(20:41):
any of us see this level of greatness coming.
Speaker 3 (20:48):
I worried from day one.
Speaker 1 (20:52):
That this got because pride, that the kind of I mean,
pride in your work is one thing that's excellent, but
pride hubris, that's the kind of thing that comes before
a fall. And so I worried about his narcissism. I
worried about his ego and pride. And I don't know
(21:16):
if it's what he's been through and a four year
break and harassment. I don't know if it was a
bullet going over his ear. But none of that exists.
And what has come out of all of this, and
what I hope you didn't miss yesterday is the optic
(21:39):
clarity of Donald Trump is the leader of the world,
and in that is the biggest defeat for China and Russia.
I kind of go back and they seem like they're unrelated,
but I'm not convinced they're not completely related, Denzel Washington
(22:01):
talking about life isn't about likes. The podcaster asked him,
aren't you worried about a cancel culture? Cancel culture who
cares well? Because that's the currency of our day. Likes
really only if you play that game. They can't cancel
(22:24):
if you don't sign up. Then he talked rather eloquently
about faith in God and service to God not man,
and how his faith is in God, his hope is
in Man. But that's often fleeting, very profound. I mean,
Denzel Washington was our winner of the Day and Sounds
of the Day. But the point being, in America, there's
(22:51):
only two ways to view Donald Trump. Used to be
two bad ways to view him, falsely worship him and
falsely make him into a boogeyman and a tyrant, a dictator,
the end of democracy in the world as we know it.
Both were irrational and ridiculous. Now it's kind of turned
(23:12):
in rooting for and rooting against. But the reality is
he has already achieved. He is the leader and the
central figure leader on the world stage. And you could
see that in a snapshot from the Oval Office yesterday.
(23:36):
And as I mentioned, you contrast that to the fake presidency,
absent presidency, asleep at the wheel presidency that allowed this invasion.
I think that goes beyond the moment. And as the
Democrats continue to strategize further left, further obstruction into a
(24:01):
paralyzing dysfunction, Well, all that is is socialism, communism, and
islamis sect of the party, irrelevance and perceived as children
(24:23):
having a tantrum while the other guys leading the free
world the optic of Donald Trump. You know, I said
this when I wrote a book. I don't know that
any of us can ever put a finger on when
we grow up, and I wish it all happened in
a single moment. For me, I would have to be
(24:46):
honest with you and say I grew up the minute
I walked into a room and my wife was there.
And I'm one of those few people that are blessed
with the minute I saw her, and it wasn't lost
or attract I just knew, that's your wife, and that
led to being that's the mother of your children, and
(25:09):
now you're a father. That's when I really grew up.
So for me it was low thirties, but I think
at a very young age with just a little mini
U haul trailer behind my hond Accord when I pulled
out of Kenner, Louisiana and drove to Oklahoma City for
(25:30):
my first job. That was a grow up moment yesterday.
And I think it's been coming, but yesterday's the moment.
Donald Trump is the central figure and world leader that's
beyond any little matrix game we're playing here in the
(25:51):
United States. So it will and could ultimately solve the matrix.
This is our time and for all time game change moment.
Remember what we said about Ronald Reagan, the Reagan Revolution,
the generation it created far more impactful than the eight
years of Ronald Reagan as president? What is the Trump
(26:12):
impact in the years to come? Both sides look like
they want this word to end. That tells me it
will when I don't know, but it will. And when
it does, well, then Donald Trump is officially somewhere we
haven't seen in a long long time. History will be
(26:36):
much kinder to him. History's got a tough challenge. Greatest
president ever Washington, Lincoln or Trump. And they'll probably asterisk
said Trump first term versus second term. And we're only
the first year into this second term. A lot can
(26:57):
happen in three years. But a lot happened yesterday, and
I think Donald Trump officially being the leader of the
free world was evident in every optic. Hey, what if
you could delay your next two mortgage payments. I don't
know if your mortgage payment's fifteen hundred, I don't know
if it's twenty five hundred, forty five hundred, whatever it is,
but that's a significant amount of money in your pocket, or,
(27:18):
as I like to say, a little breathing room. And
those of you who know what breathing room feels like,
you know what I mean. It's possible if you call
American Financing today. It's not possible if you don't call.
If you don't call, nothing's going to change. But if
you're feeling stretched by everyday expenses, groceries, gas bills.
Speaker 3 (27:36):
Piling up, come on, You're not alone.
Speaker 1 (27:38):
In fact, most Americans are putting these expenses on credit cards.
Now you're drowning in high interest credit card debt and
feeling like there's no way out, But there is. American
Financing can show you how to use your home's equity
to pay off debt. All you need to do is
call today, because you'll want to call before you can't
make those payments. That's when things start getting too late.

to do what it's always done and thus justify. It
does that reveal what they're going to be or what
they've always? Been and IF nbc is just a, disease IS?
(30:05):
Msnbc does that provide any slack FOR? NBC i think
it's a whole bunch of, nothing not, Now BUT msnbc
will now be ms now and The president has made
it clearer his next big agenda is the end of
mail in ballots and he'd like to do so by
(30:26):
the midterm. Elections roy O'Neil is our national. Correspondent he's
here with this top.
Speaker 3 (30:30):
Story. Rory good, Morning, yeah good.
Speaker 12 (30:32):
Morning you, know he doesn't really have a whole lot of,
authority however in this. Area that's one of the. Problems
so The president said during his meeting With President zelensky
yesterday that his top lawyers are working on in an
executive order to help end mail in voting and those
machines as. Well it's a little bit vague in terms
of let's see what THE eo, says because is you're
(30:55):
trying to get rid of all absentee, voting how do
you handle military ballots? Overseas IS i mean absentee voting as.
Well so it's still a bit. Gray until we get,
details it's tough to figure it.
Speaker 1 (31:06):
Out, yeah and when we'll get those, details AND i
think what it's going to be is you're going to
obviously have to have mail in voting for those that
are serving and are overseas for what have you but
as a general, practice as an alternative to in, PERSON
i think that is. PROBLEMATIC i think there's been enough
evidence of, abuse AND i think there's enough reasona believe
(31:28):
that's what The president's looking to target and maybe get
back to paper votes that can be counted and. Recounted
but you're, right we're gonna have to get the clarity on,
that and then you, know you bring up not just
authority to do, that but how states and local governments
might react and what say they have and what is
allowed and not. Allowed that's the biggest gray area from my.
Speaker 12 (31:50):
Perspective, right look at a state Like, utah which has
encouraged almost mail in balloting is almost the default stance In,
utah a deep Red republicans. State so you, know a
state like that and the local leaders there may not
want to.
Speaker 3 (32:05):
Change, hey, look everything's just.
Speaker 12 (32:07):
Fine so but then is he talking about those states
that have that proactive Balloting they just send balance to
every address and then wait to see what comes. Back and,
again The president and First lady voted absentee by mail
the last few elections while living In, Florida so, yeah
we got to see the details.
Speaker 1 (32:25):
Here, yeah but you know, this this is gonna be
a matrix. Issue the left is going to tell you
that if you don't have mail in, voting you're silencing.
Vote they're going to throw this in with the jerry,
Mandering and of course the jerry mandering is a joke
only because first of, all redistriing is a constitutional the
necessity the abuse of that which is jerry. Mandering you could,
(32:46):
say both parties have participated, in but they only count
it When republicans do. IT i, mean thirty six percent
Of massachusetts where you're, from Is, republican but they have zero.
Seats you, know jerry mandering has played a role in
a lot of these. Dates but that's how they're going
to view, this that this is a silencing of votes
or what, are you, know a threat to, democracy when
(33:06):
in fact the mail and abuse has also been a
threat to democracy and one of the things that was
the biggest. Struggle David sina AND i talk about this a.
Lot every state handles it. Differently who counts them up,
front who counts them, last what date they have to
be in, by and so on and so. Forth so
if we could just get something that's, uniformed there could
(33:28):
be some success There i'd like to see paper election
date only unless there's some specific reason, always and there's.
OTHERS i know we had to call her earlier bill From.
TAMPA i didn't get a chance to air, it but
suggested Maybe i've been Given americans the day off on
election date to make sure everybody has time to. Vote
(33:49):
those are things that could be, explored BUT i think
this is the beginning at the end of the.
Speaker 3 (33:53):
Discussion, right, well.
Speaker 12 (33:55):
Right and then you know what time kind of early,
voting what does the state have if it is only election,
day even if it is a, holiday that's still gonna
you know a lot of people are going to have
to work on election day. Again and are we talking
absentee or mail. In you know a lot of qualifiers
here on. That and you, know and then one day
it's going to move to something being electronic and we
(34:15):
just do it through our. Phones, Right, ultimately that's going
to be the goal one.
Speaker 1 (34:18):
Day, well ultimately the goal is one day you AND
i actually get a day off for. You, neil great
