stations like News Talk five point fifty k FYI and
Phoenix News Radio, eleven ninety k EX in Portland and
ten ninety The Patriot in Seattle. Make us a part
of your morning routine. We'd love to have you listen live.
But in the meantime, enjoy the podcast.
Speaker 2 (00:18):
Two three starting your morning off right. A new way
of talk, a new way of understanding because we're in
this together. This is your morning show with Michael Del John.
Speaker 1 (00:33):
I didn't steal the Crown Jewels, did you? Jeffrey? I
had nothing to do with that. Red Did ju steal
the Crown Jewels? I'm innocent. Anybody keep an eye on
Big John while he was in town. Big John, he
didn't slip off the patty, did he? Oh he slept,
Uh kind of skipped down to the Broadway Second Avenue area. Now,
(00:53):
if Rory doesn't show up an hour from now, we
know he may be a suspect. But we're nearrowing it down.
Crown Jewels have been in four minutes. That's embarrassing. Israel
had to temporarily halt its cease fire to go in
and take care of Hamas who is not complying with
(01:15):
the ceasefire. Everything's back to ceasefire. Age should begin to
float again today and the FBI is looking into investigating
the discovery of a hunting stand near Air Force one's
landing zone area in Florida. Red ass me off the air.
How many times are they going to try to kill
this guy? And my response was, I fear they will
(01:35):
try until they succeed, and we must keep stopping them.
Blue Jay's Force at Game seven winning last night. That'll
be tonight in Toronto. Winner will take on the Dodgers.
We have not won but two Monday night football games.
Tonight two of our best cities of your morning show
interest the Lions and the Bucks. Detroit and Tampa square
(01:57):
off first, then Seattle and the Houston Texans. Good morning,
It is nine minutes after the hour and welcome one
in all to Monday October twentieth year of our Lord,
twenty twenty five on the Earn streaming live on your
iHeartRadio app. This is the show that belongs to you.
This is your morning show. I'm Michael del Journal serving us.
All up is Jeffrey with sound Red keeping an eye
(02:19):
on the content. We have three stations to welcome, though
to operate under the same name. They're like not one
but two mints in one News Radio WJPF in Marion, Carbondale, Illinois.
And we welcome Talk thirteen twenty ninety nine point one
(02:40):
FM WJAS in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Yes, we're going to start
having to add all the Pittsburgh scores. Oh really, okay
to the mix. Welcome Pittsburgh reminds me of an old joke
my dad told that I can't tell on the air.
You'll find that this show is really all about you.
So we don't tell you what to think, but we
(03:01):
give you a lot to think about. We go on
journeys of discovery together because I think you're able, more
than able to connect the dots. But our goal is
the same understanding. There's no rotting on hold in this
game of talk radio, especially when you have a kitchen
table this big. But we do have a microphone where
if you listen on the iHeartRadio app, you'll see the
(03:23):
little microphone. You press it, it counts you down professionally
three to two one, and you have thirty seconds to
ask your question or make a statement and immediately you're
at the your morning show kitchen table. You can also
email me Michael de at iHeartMedia dot com. I trust
everybody had a wonderful weekend. Yeah, we had a good week.
(03:43):
Got to meet Big John, one of our listeners was
in town. He came to see the New England Titans game.
And when home will winner is team one? Oh yeah
the Patriots. Yeah that was sports wise. You know, some
of our cities are just not doing very well, and
one of them is Nashville. Titans fell to one and six,
(04:06):
losing thirty one to thirteen to the Patriots at home Broncos.
They were down nineteen to nothing at the start of
the fourth quarter. They go on to win it thirty
three points in the fourth quarter. They beat the Giants
thirty three to thirty two. Heartbreaking loss. That Sean Payton
is something special in me. Well, it was. It was
a It was one of those games that look had
(04:29):
John l we've been playing quarterback, you'd be watching film
of this for twenty years.
Speaker 3 (04:34):
Ok.
Speaker 1 (04:34):
They call it the drive. It was. It was a
pretty exciting game. Cards collapsed in the fourth. Sorry Phoenix
losing twenty seven to twenty three to the Packers. Arizona
now falls to two and five. How about the Browns.
We found somebody we could beat up on, and we
found a star of former Buck guy quin Shawn Judkins
with eighty four yards and three touchdowns. Browns win thirty
(04:54):
one to six. Matthew Stafford not one, not two, not three,
not four, not five touchdown pass. This is thirty five
seven over the Jags in London. San Francisco forty nine.
Ers went to five and two, beating the Falcons last
night twenty to ten. Two games tonight, Lions four and two,
Bucks five and one. This could be the NFC championship
(05:16):
game right here, in my opinion, these are the two
best of the NFC. That'll be the first of two
Monday night football games tonight at NBC and rather ABC,
ESPN Texans and Seattle. After that. How about the night
Otani had ten strikeouts three home runs. I don't know.
We may have to find some new name. This is
(05:37):
the you know, the Babe Ruth of today. He may
be beyond that. As my son did the research, Babe
Ruth never had done strikeouts in a game, but ten
K's three home runs. Dodgers advanced to the World Series.
Now it's a matter of who they will play, the
Blue Jays or the Mariners will find out they play
Game seven, a decisive game seven tonight. All right, let's
(05:58):
start with the No King's protest. Where do you begin?
They are protesting number one seven million protesters, protesting something
that does not exist. So we're going to talk to
(06:21):
Chris Walker later in the third hour. Republican consultant Donald
Trump won three hundred and two to two hundred and
twenty six electoral votes. It's not even a close electoral
college map, including sweeping every all seven swing states. Did
you know that Donald Trump carried ninety percent of all
counties in America, not in a state in the country.
(06:47):
So is this leftist ignorance? Is this leftist insurrection? Or
is this insanity? And I would have said stupidity, but
I wanted to keep the eyes going. So you got
to ask yourself the big question, what is the purpose
of this other than to have a tantrum or to agitate.
(07:14):
What could possibly be the purpose? Now, if it's for
free speech as they claim, if we really had a king,
if we really had a tyrant like they claim, do
they think they'd be able to march. They act as
(07:37):
if they are the hunted, and we've got a hunting
stand and west palm to suggest the only one hunted
is the duly elected President of the United States by
ninety counties, by electoral landslide, by a sweep of all
swing states, and by the majority of we the people.
(07:59):
You don't have the king, you have a duly elected president.
Was seventy seven million, three hundred and two thousand, five
hundred and eighty votes. What is this nonsense? Well, here's
Robert de Niro. You're Hollywood Oscar winner. Listen.
Speaker 4 (08:25):
He will not he we see it. We see it,
We see it every we see it all the time.
He will not want to leave. He set it up
with his I guess he's the Gebbels of the of
the Cabinet Stephen Miller. He's he's a Nazi, Yes he is,
and he's Jewish and he should be ashamed of himself.
Speaker 1 (08:48):
This looks like this. Oh, I'm laughing at you, Robert
de Niro, but I wanted to be speed he stopped.
I want to cry.
Speaker 4 (08:57):
Uh.
Speaker 1 (08:57):
You know this is the same Robert de Niro from
Casino Godfather for Bronx tail, I just I want to weep.
I will never be able to watch any of his work.
When's the last time any have you have either of
you two watched the Robert de Niro movie lately? Nope? Yeah?
Popping on Meet the Parents again is like zero. He's
(09:21):
ruined good Fellows. He's ruined good Fellows. That's the tragedy
Goodfellows out of all of them. You know, it's funny
you say that Bronx tailing good Fellows. I don't know.
Casino was something too. I mean a lot of great moment. Hey,
the deer Hunter, he's done a lot. You're talking to me?
You're talking to me? Was that from taxi driver? Yeah?
(09:42):
But I mean what a Goofbaul. Can you imagine whipping
that old chestnut out again? Sorry for the visual. That's
what they were saying the first time. And he left.
Unfortunately so did Biden, even though a pen served for
(10:03):
four years. I mean, what could possibly be behind this?
It's absolute lunacy.
Speaker 5 (10:15):
Now.
Speaker 1 (10:15):
My other favorite moment was and this is Speaker Johnson.
I had been studying this new head of CBS because
this woman really seems like she is dead set on
addressing the death of journalism. I just can't find enough
trust to get excited. And she's sitting in a room
(10:36):
with all this CBS talent from sixty minutes, Anderson Cooper,
Leslie Stall, and she asked them a simple question, why
do you think nobody trusts your journalism and think it's biased?
And of course they were flabbergasted. According to people that
were in the meeting, Listen, if they can't answer that question,
(10:57):
then they are the problem. You just move on to
firing them. That's CBS ABC. There is no hope. They
work for the mouse. This is you know, they'll go
as low as you could possibly go, and they did
with the speaker. Listen to this.
Speaker 3 (11:14):
Exchange anarchists, Antifa, advocates, pro homaswing and you said this
is the modern Democratic Party.
Speaker 1 (11:21):
But I remember, ah, yes, that's a pretty good description
actually from mom Donnie in New York, who is clearly
a Islamist in addition to being a socialist. Who do
you think Antifa and Black Lives Matter? We're trying to
serve what on earth now? If you speak English, if
(11:46):
you speak fact, if you speak reality, they treat you
like you're the one inciting a killing meanwhile ignoring they're
doing all the killing. I'm gonna rewind it, but don't
miss this. You got to this, and the poor speaker
who has to respond to this nonsense not.
Speaker 3 (12:04):
Only talked about anarchists, ANTIF advocates, pro Homas wing. You
said this is the modern Democratic Party. But I remember,
not that long ago what you said after the murder
of Charlie Kirk, when you said that we should view
fellow Americans not as our enemies, but as our fellow countrymen.
Speaker 6 (12:24):
Yeah, I've never called anybody an enemy, but we call out.
Speaker 3 (12:27):
You America rally or you know Antifa, pro Homas, that
sounds those are enemies.
Speaker 6 (12:31):
Well, there were a lot of hateful messages yesterday. I
mean we have video and photos of pretty violent rhetoric
calling out the president, saying fascists must die and all
the rest. I mean, I don't think that's loving speech.
I don't think that's friendly speech.
Speaker 1 (12:43):
And I don't think it's not as ABC ignores that speech.
Speaker 6 (12:45):
Pro American to say those kinds of things. So it's
not about the people, it's about the message. It's about
the ideology. And I will stand here every Sunday and
talk with you about the dangers of Marxism and socialism,
and how it's led to the literal death of tens
of millions of people in the twentieth century alone. It
is a dangerous ideology.
Speaker 1 (13:02):
And I haven't seen Kevin Spacey in a very long time.
Are we sure Mike Johnson isn't Kevin Spacey? I digress.
Let's listen on.
Speaker 6 (13:09):
It is anti American and it goes against everything that
we stand for.
Speaker 3 (13:12):
But you're not saying that this is all of the
Democratic Party. It's not all of the people around there.
I mean, it kind of reminds me of Hillary Clinton
said refer to Trump supporters or half of them as
the basket of deplorable.
Speaker 1 (13:22):
Half of them's I he's breaking it down. Who what
a goofball? She called him, and those who voted for
him deplorables clinging to their guns and bibles. It was
a pretty inclusive statement that you now can barely remember.
Mike Johnson with the best answer I've heard all year.
Speaker 6 (13:42):
Listen, I've never said that, I never called out I
never said it was a whole Democratic Party. But you
and I have to acknowledge the reality.
Speaker 3 (13:48):
Wait a minute, So this is the modern Democratic Party.
Speaker 1 (13:51):
It is because look at the evidence. Look at what's
happening in New York.
Speaker 6 (13:54):
They're about to elect an open socialist Marxist as the
mayor of America's largest city. There's a rise of Marxism
and Democratic Party. It's an objective fact and no one
can deny it. We lament that, we decry it. We're
trying to call it out because I want to make
sure the next generation of Americans understands that is a
dangerous road to go down.
Speaker 1 (14:11):
That's part of our calling.
Speaker 6 (14:12):
I think part of our responsibility is as elected servants
of the people.
Speaker 1 (14:16):
We're just trying hard to communicate. But it's getting more
and more difficult every day. Welcome to life and the Matrix.
Welcome to Monday, October the twentieth. We got all the
top stories, nothing but the top stories. So help us
one chance to live this Monday morning, because we're all
(14:36):
in it together.
Speaker 2 (14:38):
This is your morning show with Michael del Chuno.
Speaker 1 (14:42):
I apologize, you know a lot of times I come
on the air and all this stuff is already in
my head, and I just wanted to share the burden
of Robert Janier with you early. He just got to
be stopped because I can't have that in my head alone.
He has got to be I like to Steve Miller
is a Nazi. That's right. He's a Nazi. Like somebody
(15:05):
said he is. Nobody even said that. He goes that's right,
he is, and he's Jewish. I don't think. I don't
think today can get any weirder than Robert de Niro.
But it might. Twenty eight minutes after the hour on
the air, streaming live on your iHeartRadio AP, this is
(15:27):
your morning show, and these are your top five stories. Well,
he's got to be stopped. Maybe it's de Niro's hunting stand.
The FBI is leading the investigation into the discovery of
a hunting stand near the Air Force one landing zone
in Florida.
Speaker 5 (15:39):
A spokesperson for the US Secret Service confirmed agents made
the discovery last week during a security sweep ahead of
the president's arrival in Palm Beach. The individuals were found
at the location, but officials noted the team's identified items
of interest. The agency confirmed the hunting stand has a
direct line of sight to the restricted parking area for
Air Force One. Trump traveled to Flora Friday to spend
(16:00):
the weekend in West Palm Beach. I'm Mark Mayfield.
Speaker 1 (16:03):
To make a long weekend short. Israel won in and
did some strikes. Why because Hamas was trying to reassert
itself and killing innocent people. They got through killing all
the Hamas bad guys, sending a clear message for a
ceasefire to resume. And now Israel claims the ceasefire has
resumed and ade will begin to float today. Vice President
Jady Vans will visit Israel this week to discuss the
(16:24):
transition into phase two of President Trump's cause a peace blam.
Blue Jays a winner last night in the American League
Championship Series. They forced the game seven tonight in Toronto.
The winner will take on the Los Angeles Dodgers. And
Monday night football doubleheader tonight the Lions and the Bucks,
two of our favorite cities, Detroit and Tampa will be
going at it. And then Seattle and the Texans, not
(16:47):
one but two Monday night at football games. And how
about Vandy in the top ten. Somebody's got to drop
the bob and say it out loud and say it so.
Speaker 2 (16:57):
My name is Joey from Goodyear, Arizona, and my morning
show is your Morning show with Michael del Jorno.
Speaker 1 (17:10):
Hi, I'm Michael. We'd love to have you listen every
weekday morning to your morning show live, even take us
along with you on the drive to work. We can
be heard on great radio stations like one oh four
nine The Patriot in Saint Louis, or Talk Radio ninety
eight point three and fifteen ten WLAC and Nashville and
News Talk five fifty k FYI and Phoenix, Arizona. Love
to be a part of your morning routine. But we're
(17:30):
always grateful you're here. Now, enjoy the podcast. No, the
King of Saudi Arabia is not King Abdul Jabbar. It's
I think you're conflating that I couldn't remember with a
great laker, Milwaukee Buck. Is that the kind of guessing
you used to do in high school? That's the Kentucky education, Kentucky. Indeed,
(17:53):
thirty six minutes after the hour, good morning, and welcome
to Monday, October the twentieth, the year of our Lord.
No Red and I were talking off the air, all right,
So who are these no kings protesters? We don't have
a king. Why are you protesting something that doesn't exist?
Donald Trump is the president of the United States after
seventy seven million votes. He swept every swing state. He
(18:16):
won ninety counties. It was an electoral landslide. He is
a duly elected by the people president. Now you got
Robert de Niro saying he's never gonna leave. He must
be stopped. That's why we keep finding deer stands. You know,
they're gonna keep They're gonna keep inciting, and people are
(18:37):
gonna keep trying to kill this man until they do.
It's crazy telling me, are there no deer near the
airport there? I wouldn't think there's a lot of deer
by the West Palm airport. But what's interesting is, you
know you had set off the air You know, why
does it no kings ever go protest where there are kings.
(18:58):
And that's when we said, yeah, go to Saudi Arabia.
Let's see how your protest goes. Obviously to go to
Luxembourg for that sake. Yeah, obviously if there was you know,
if it's about free speech, the fact that seven million
of you walked around like buffoons, protesting something that doesn't exist,
just wearing a sign I'm an idiot, would tell you
(19:19):
that there is no king there was. He would have
stopped you, But I did ask the question, if there's
no king, why is there no king protests? I mean,
is this ignorance and it's possible? Is it insurrection? Is
it insanity? Why would they do it? Well, at least
(19:45):
somebody in the class is following instructions. Jim in Tampa
had this explanation.
Speaker 7 (19:49):
Look, all these Antifa deals and all these protests of
no kings is really about the midterms in twenty six
and deep roots in the Democrat establishment and big money
backing up socialist globalist causes. You don't need to look
any further than that. This is just another kind of
way of taking over the elections in twenty six. That's
(20:11):
where they took out Charlie Kirk because he was a
mover and shaker to get Republican votes out.
Speaker 1 (20:18):
Well, that's why we always said this is either the
last gasps of an soon to be irrelevant political movement
or it's the first shots of a civil war. I
am praying it's not the latter. I love Lucy Well
for me and my age group, the Brady Bunch, or
how about Happy Days Love Vote Just a few of
(20:42):
the classic shows that were featured in the New docuseriies
TV we Love. You're going to love this. They get
the old cast members together and interview them, play clips,
and Jim Calucci and others discuss what made these shows
so remarkable, and you start doing all in the Family
and I love Lucy and Honeymoon. These are shows that
(21:03):
changed everything. These there are shows that simply don't exist anymore,
and the networks that they made famous, they're not really
relevant anymore. Jim Calucchi is from the show. It's here
to preview what I think is they must see on CEDW.
It's called TV we Love. Good morning, Jim, good morning,
Thank you. I had so much fun doing it. I
(21:23):
mean to talk television. I'm up at before six in
the morning in La to talk television. That means I
love it, you must love it. Well, it's called TV
we Love and you debuted this week on CW. I
love this because this gives us a chance to talk.
You know, television has gone through a lot of changes,
and you could make a case like journalism is dead.
(21:45):
Maybe television as we know it has certainly shifted and changed.
But I will tell you we have this phenomenon where
there's nothing at the theater, but there's some great shows
like on Netflix in prime and then nothing worth watching
on the networks. That wasn't the case in America. Uh.
And there was a time we only had three channels,
but we had a lot better shows, didn't we.
Speaker 8 (22:05):
Well, I wouldn't say there's nothing worth watching in the networks.
I just was yesterday at a set visit for Saint
Dennis Medical, a show I love on NBC. But I
do understand the perception. And I also think that the
networks have underinvested in great quality scripted scripted programming like
they used to, and there's few there are fewer things
to watch on network. So yeah, I missed the days
(22:26):
when the fall season that we are now experiencing would
be chok full of brand new shows to sample. And
it's been it's become a trickle this season.
Speaker 1 (22:35):
Yeah, And it would go back and forth. You know,
there was a time CBS dominated Mary Tyler Moore. I'm
trying to think but that that magical lineup. Then ABC
dominated with with Happy Days and Laverne and Shirley and
Love Boat. Then CBS bounced back, you know, in the
in the Dallas era, and we go.
Speaker 8 (22:52):
The great thing is that these are all shows now
that we're selling so many, and are the ones that
you mentioned are ones that we're celebrating with TV we
love There's Happy Days, There's Love Boat, Brady Bunch, The Honeymooners, Dynasty,
Touched by an Angel, I Love Lucy. It's a great lineup.
LUs These are all the classics you're talking about.
Speaker 1 (23:11):
Oh yeah, and I mean they still and of course
the meanings are different and culture was different, but I
mean I Love Lucy, I Love Lucy, the Dick Van
Dyke Show, the Mary Tyler Moore Show, later all in
the Family. I mean, these are iconic shows and every
(23:33):
episode is as good today as when they aired. But
starting with I Love Lucy, that's a masterpiece. That and
The Honeymooners two masterpieces.
Speaker 8 (23:41):
They are, and they both, particularly Lucy really invented so
many of the things we know about TV today. They
invented what a sitcom really would be, even though they
weren't the absolute first sitcom and television and there have
been sitcoms on radio. Lucy really cemented all of the
things we know today, particularly even on the technical side,
where they brought in a live studio audience for Lucille
(24:04):
Ball because she played better against an audience.
Speaker 1 (24:06):
And then they.
Speaker 8 (24:06):
Figured out how to light a set that you could
use multiple cameras at the same time, and invented a
machine that you could switch between cameras and look at that.
We've invented the multiicam sitcom and the rerun at the
same time. Because they used to be not filmed shows.
They used to just go out onto the air. I'm
filmed and so so much about Lucy in ways that
audiences may see evidently or may not even realize, really
(24:30):
invented the TV that we're still watching seventy five years later.
Speaker 1 (24:33):
Jim Calucci on the show today simply for being Italian. No,
he's here to talk about TV. We love It debuted
on CW this Monday, and if you love these old shows,
you're gonna love this, Jim. The most obvious question I
think everybody will ask you is how did you Which
ones did you pick? And cooy It's tough to just
even if you said give me ten, I don't think
I could come up with ten.
Speaker 8 (24:54):
It's hard. And I'm so proud of the list that
we have because Lucy was the pioneer of the sitcom.
The Brady Bunch is probably the show that I that
I first developed a second life that was bigger than
its original run and redefined my childhood and anybody my
age and probably younger too, loved that show. The Honeymooners,
(25:16):
I mean Jackie Gleason one of the greats, and again
like really setting the standard for what comedy.
Speaker 1 (25:22):
And that wasn't even a show, right, Jim. That was
just a feature that they did in a variety show
and it ended up being a five decade.
Speaker 8 (25:32):
Class oh more than five Yeah, from the fifties to now. Yeah,
that was a sketch on Jackie Gleason's own show. And
Ralph Crampton was just one of the many characters that
he played on his own show. But it was it
really took on a life of its own and became
its own show for that one season, that one glorious
season where it ran for its own, its own vehicle.
Speaker 1 (25:53):
Now tell them how the show works, because not only
do we relive these great shows and what they meant
to their generation. I mean the Brady Bunch. I think
Happy Days in Laverne and Shirley were two really big ones.
And Welcome Back Cotter that may not necessarily be on
the list but I mean, I remember the Love Boat
was a game changer because it was all our favorite
stars getting on the boat. Let's go on a cruise together,
(26:15):
and we could see them playing different characters or themselves
in real life. But tell them how the show is presented,
because you feature these with a lot like Barry Williamson
and Christopher Knight from The Brady Bunch, A lot of
the people from the shows are a part of this.
Speaker 8 (26:30):
Yes, well, this coming Monday, you'll be able to catch
our Brady Bunch episode. And last week we aired our
first episode of TV we Love, which was about I
Love Lucy, and you can go on cwtv dot com
and stream that. But also, yeah, so you can catch
The Brady Bunch and onward every Monday on CW stations
and it's an hour just dedicated to bringing you back
(26:50):
to that time and show about shows that you love.
So if you want to spend an hour at Bradymania,
which I think experienced Brady Mania all the time, join
us on Monday. And we do have Barry Williams and
Chris Knight and people with real insider information about how
this show existed obviously, Plus they filmed some of the
interviews in the real life Brady House, which is such
(27:13):
a trippy experience to go in. I was lucky enough
that in working on this show, I got to go
inside the Brady House and kind of poke around on me.
Speaker 1 (27:20):
I'm dying to do that.
Speaker 8 (27:22):
Oh my god. It's so incredible because, as you may
know from being a Brady fan, that house was just
the exterior that they used for the show, and it
was shot on a sound stage, and it's right near
me actually here in Studio City, California. It's about five
minutes from where I live now, and I drive by
it all the time and I take friends there and
we pose outside. But that used to be all you
could do. And then a few years ago.
Speaker 1 (27:44):
HGTV that was a great idea.
Speaker 8 (27:47):
They brought in the six Brady Kids. They had a
very Brady renovation. It was called The Show for HGTV,
and they tore that house down to the studs on
the inside and completely reworked it and reconfc figured it
and built out and expanded it so that it would
look on the inside like the Brady House did. And
it is an incredible amount of detail. It's like walking
(28:09):
into your television set. You can't believe you're in it.
Speaker 1 (28:12):
Well, the good news for you, Jim and CW is
I can see plenty of seasons on the horizon because
there's so many other great shows to cover. But it's
good to stop and realize what we had it was
really special.
Speaker 8 (28:23):
It is true. It is true, and we don't have,
necessarily for scripted programming the same water cooler moments where
everybody is talking about the same thing at the same time,
because it can all watch on our own schedule. But
there are still shows breaking on network and streaming that
look at the White Lotus and those seasons and how
everyone's talking about them. We may not be talking about
them on the same day, but we talk about them eventually.
(28:46):
And I think the most telling thing for these shows
is when you don't want a spoiler to pop up
on your feed on your social media, and so you
make sure you're home on that night to watch it
spoiler free, and that it's really the same thing. So
there are shows that are going to be so juicy
that you have to watch them before people root it
for you.
Speaker 1 (29:06):
Yeah, that's a whole other interesting twist. You know, some
are better off binged, Like I was thinking of Stick.
Is it Stick the one, the golfing one. I think
it is Stick's, isn't it Anyway? It's the new one
with Owen Wilson and Ye. And if you waited every
week for that twenty minute show, it rarely was ever
worth it. But people that later binged it, they were
(29:27):
worth it one after another. So some are even designed
to be binged. Some are designed to be thirsted for
every week. But there was the good old days and
the great old moments and the great shows and performances
we must never forget. And this is a great concept.
Every Monday night on CW, don't miss TV we Loved
(29:48):
and TV we Love is what it's called. And Jim,
I appreciate you joining us. I wish you nothing but
the best with us because there's too many memories for
us all to share.
Speaker 8 (29:57):
Thank you so much. It's my pleasure to talk about
it always, and don't forget.
Speaker 1 (30:00):
Tonight on CW, it's the Brady Bunch and Greg and
Peter will walk you through some of the stories behind
the episodes TV we Love on CW. Thanks for the preview,
Jim Caluccia, Fellow.
Speaker 2 (30:13):
Paison, It's your morning show with Michael del.
Speaker 1 (30:18):
Churno participate anytime. You can always email Michael did at
iHeartMedia dot com or use that talkback butt on the
iHeartRadio app. Roy emailed Michael, no Kings but wear a mask.
No Kings, make sure you get your vacs or you
lose your job. No Kings, but you must get boosted
twelve thousand times. No Kings but social distance six feet. Well, yeah,
(30:41):
hypocrisy is astounding, but that didn't stop them. By the
millions taking part of the No King's protest across the US.
Speaker 9 (30:49):
Lisa Carton reports huge crowds took to the streets for
marches and rallies in many cities. Some carried signs against authoritarianism,
immigration raids, troops being deployed in US government layoffs, and
the state of the economy.
Speaker 1 (31:03):
I'm sixty eight and I don't want to live in
a country with a dictator. This is America. We're supposed
to be free.
Speaker 9 (31:10):
The protests were mostly peaceful, though there were reports of
several arrests at protests in Denver and Chicago. Late Saturday night,
police in Los Angeles had to use tear gas on
a crowd of protesters downtown who would not disperse I'm
Lisa Carton.
Speaker 1 (31:23):
The FBI is leading the investigation into the discovery of
a hunting stand near Air Force one's landing zone in Florida.
Speaker 5 (31:30):
A spokesperson for the US Secret Service confirmed agents made
the discovery last week during a security sweep ahead of
the president's arrival in Palm Beach. The individuals were found
at the location, but officials noted the team's identified items
of interest. The agency confirmed the hunting stand has a
direct line of sight to the restricted parking area for
Air Force one. Trump traveled to Florida Friday to spend
(31:51):
the weekend in West Palm Beach. I'm Mark Meanfield.
Speaker 1 (31:54):
Federal government enters another week shut down with no sight
of reopening anytime soon.
Speaker 10 (31:59):
Appearing on ABC Jesu Week, Johnson said lawmakers on the
other side of the aisle need to start being serious
about negotiating an end to the matter.
Speaker 6 (32:06):
I refuse to allow us to come back and engage
in anything until the government's reopened. When the Democrats do
the right thing for the people, they're playing politics, and
we have to use every ounce of leverage. We have
to make sure they do the right thing.
Speaker 10 (32:17):
His comments come as the shutdown is now the third
longest funding laps in modern history. The government shutdown is
set to enter another week with no clear end in sight,
after Senators failed for the tenth time to resolve the
impass in votes on Thursday.
Speaker 9 (32:30):
I'm Tammy TRHILLO.
Speaker 1 (32:31):
There's no business like show business till there's no business
at all. Broadway continues to face a possible strike.
Speaker 11 (32:38):
Things We're looking brighter on Saturday, on word that a
tentative settlement had been reached with actors, but The New
York Times reports there's still no agreement with musicians, who've
been working since the end of August on an expired contract.
The paper says their union hopes to meet again with
producers this week. The musicians are seeking improvements in pay
and benefits. A strike would be the first major walkout
(33:01):
on Broadway since two thousand and seven. I'm Larry Kowski.
Speaker 1 (33:05):
People across the news radio excuse me. People across the
US will be able to see a rare green comet
streaking across the sky this week. Mark Mayfield has the preview.
Speaker 5 (33:15):
NASA say's comet Lemon will make its closest approach to
Earth on Tuesday, coming within about fifty five million miles
away Comet maybe bright enough to be seen with the
naked eye. Those city lights may hinder visibility. Binoculars or
a small telescope aren't recommended, along with viewering from dark
areas outside the city for the best view. I'm Mark Mayfield, mondays.
Speaker 1 (33:35):
They're always busy for sports. Let's start with baseball. It's
ben bete betaguda to me. How Tani ten strikeouts, three
home runs. Dodgers swept the Brewers and four straight. They're
headed to the World Series. But who will they play? Well?
The Blue Jays finally won at home, six to two
over Seattle. They're tied at three games a piece. Game
seven is tonight in Toronto. Winner takes on the Dodgers.
(33:56):
College football, how about those Vanderbilt Commodores. I don't think
I've ever been alive when the Commodorees were in the
top ten. Indiana hops all the way into the number
two spot. The Buckeyes are still number one in the NFL.
Matthew Stafford five touchdowns, He probably wants to stay in London.
(34:16):
Thirty five seven rams over the Jags, Browns thirty one
six over the Fins. Former buck guy from Ohio State
Quinchin Jenkins with eighty four yards and three touchdowns, a
rising star for the Browns. Cards collapsed in the fourth
lose twenty seven to twenty three to the Packers. Arizona
now two and five on the season. Titans garbage with
the old coach or no coach. They're now one and six,
(34:38):
losing thirty one to thirteen to the Patriots. Broncos thirty
three points in the fourth quarter alone come back to
beat the Giants thirty three to thirty two. Forty nine ers.
Last night go to five and two, beating the Falcons
twenty to ten. Tonight, the Detroit Lions and the Tampa
Bay Bucks four and two versus five and one, the
first of two Monday night football games tonight. Birthdays Today,
Snoop Dog is fifty three years old. I think I
(35:01):
know what he'll like. The ain't a candle. Mama La
Kamala herself sixty years old. Today, Met's Great Keith Hernandez
is seventy two, and from the Office, actor John Krasinski
is forty six. If it's your birthday, Happy birthday. We're
so glad you were born and thanks for making your
morning show a part of your big day.
Speaker 2 (35:20):
We're all in this together. This is your Morning Show
