Speaker 1 (00:00):
Hi, I'm Michael, and your morning show is heard on
great radio stations across the country like one oh five,
nine twelve fifty WHNZ and Tampa, Florida, News Radio five
seventy wkb N and Youngstown, Ohio and News Radio one
thousand KTOK in Oklahoma City. Love to have you listen
to us live in the morning, and of course we're
so grateful you came for the podcast.
Speaker 2 (00:20):
Enjoy two three, starting your morning off right, A new
way of talk, a new way of understanding.
Speaker 3 (00:29):
Because we're in this together.
Speaker 1 (00:32):
This is your morning show with Michael del Chorno. Good morning,
and welcome to Wednesday, October the twenty ninth year of
our Lord, twenty twenty five, on the air, streaming live
on your iHeartRadio app. This is the show that belongs
to you. This is your morning show. I'm Michael del Jorno.
That one with a little sleep in his eyes, a
(00:53):
little anger in his heart is Adam Thompson in Los Angeles,
where the Dodgers lost sixty two to the Blue Blue
Jays are just hanging around, hanging around, overachieving. You don't
think this team. I had the Dodgers winning four straight
as sweep. It's two. It's tided to a piece. Red's
(01:14):
going to keep an eye on the content. Big Day Today.
If you're listening on the podcast, keep listening. If you're
listening live, keep the radio on. Brett Bear is going
to be joining us from Fox News. He's Thatt with
a new book on Theodore Roosevelt. I'm surprised. I did
a little tease on social media about him being on
and listen looking at some of these people arguing, Oh,
(01:37):
he should go to CBS so we get a real
conservati about it Fox. I don't know where this notion
that Brett Bear is a Democrat and a lefty comes from.
But nothing could be further from the truth. If you
haven't read the book he wrote about the struggles with
his son. This is a believer, a husband, a father,
(02:01):
a conservative. I guess, like me, he's a free agent
in that I'm really not into either party. Both are flawed.
That may be coming very clear to you in the
next year or two post Trump. I find him to
be somebody that's trying to be a part of the
(02:24):
solution and not a matrix part of the problem. But
I don't find him compromising in any way, and there's
nothing about him that strikes me anything other than conservative.
But we're going to visit with Brett about his new book,
To Rescue the American Spirit, Teddy Roosevelt, The Birth of
a Superpower. We'll also talk about his next project, which
(02:46):
should answer that first question I just delved into, and
we'll talk about the rumors of leaving for CBS. Brett
Bearable joining us in the third hour. Our journey of
discovery today is a don't miss with David Sanati. You
might have noticed that yesterday just out of the blue,
wink wink, and on his birthday, I might add, Bill
(03:11):
Gates announces the climate change is no longer the biggest threat.
He pivots climate strategy, talking about focusing on poverty over
carbon emission reduction. That ain't the story. The story is
(03:32):
these tech people need energy power for their AI and
damn the client the climate. If that's what it takes
to power this stuff. Now, how far will they go
if they're left unchecked power all their AI? While you're
(03:53):
reading by candlelight? But go back to the President Donald
Trump's inauguration. Something we all saw and talked about every
tech giant. Do you remember what happened in twenty twenty
in the shadow campaign to save the democracy, a biased
(04:16):
in the back pocket media sold you narratives. Tech controlled
and silenced any ability to question any of it because
they controlled the Internet, the algorithms in the searches. Then
they weaponized COVID. Then they changed election laws on constitutionally
(04:37):
without going through the state legislatures. Then they harvested ballots
in swing districts of swing states and stole the election.
Then all of a sudden, Donald Trump gets elected in
twenty twenty four and all the tech giants are at
the inauguration, and Musk was the big reason why, among others.
(05:05):
So even the bigger question is beyond AI and beyond
power and beyond how they were never sincere about the climate.
I mean, do you have some new science or just
suddenly what you were saying for two decades was the
(05:25):
existential threat of our hour and we're all gonna die
and we're the cause and if we don't change, it's
too late. Now all of a sudden, you have the
luxury saying, well, it's not climate now, it's poverty, poverty.
We're gonna go ahead. Could you imagine Michael, a dirty
coal plant next to the Microsoft building just I mean,
(05:47):
you can't make it up. Oh, but the bigger picture
is this, Believe me, we don't ever want to be
like everybody on television. They're all just either a part
of the narrative or reacting to narratives. Let's be smarter
than that, and we are. If big tech was a
(06:09):
part of the plan to block Trump in twenty and
then big tech was the plan that got him over
the top, along with I think you know, I would
go back to podcasting, Joe Rogan mostly being a difference,
but beyond that, big tech. So the big tech that
blocked him in twenty got him elected in twenty twenty four.
(06:30):
I got a question of the day for you, where
do you think big tech is going to be in
twenty twenty eight? And maybe the silent biggest factor you
haven't considered. But David and I, he's going to walk
us through that journey of discovery that'll be in the
third hour as well. Third hours must hear Radio our
journey of discovery and Brett Bear from Fox News with
his new book on Teddy Roosevelt. All right, shameless tease aside,
(06:54):
Let's get to the hurricane. It was everything we thought
it would be, that's for sure. It pounded Jamaica as
a Category five, at least seven people dead. The death
toll is expected to rise. The most powerful hurricane to
(07:14):
lash the island since the record keeping began one hundred
and seventy four years ago. And we've talked about, you know,
as the waters doesn't really affect down there as much,
but usually warm water feeds strength of hurricane. So it
is very very rare to have a Category five in
the last few days of October at the very end
(07:36):
of the hurricane season. But boy, they got it, most
powerful in one hundred and seventy four years. Melissa weakened
somewhat after landfall, which was good, the Hurricane Center saying
that its latest update had it falling to a Cat
three by the time it had made landfall in Cuba,
which was much better news for Cuba than obviously Jamaica.
(08:00):
Jamaica has I can't remember now the number five hundred
and thirty thousand, which I think is a pretty high
number for a small island without power. As we speak
now in Cuba, they had pre evacuated some seven hundred
(08:21):
and fifty thousand, and the storms arriving at Cat three,
and it arrived just a few hours ago. So we'll
keep an eye on Hurricane Melissa, a Cat five when
hitting Jamaica, a Cat three when hitting Cuba and headed
out into colder Atlantic waters after Cuba. Jd Vance is
indicating the troops will be paid during the government shutdown,
(08:44):
at least for now. President Trump arrived in Korea giving amazing,
beautiful remarks. As you know, the Japanese Prime Minister has
nominated him for a Nobel Peace Prize. And now the
big lifting at this summit. This is where the President
(09:05):
will hopefully finalize the trade deal with China with she
as well as secured that purchase of TikTok. So we'll
see how that plays out. Today. What an amazing Asian
tour it's been for the President. He's wrecked up a
lot of business and twenty five Democrat led states. We
live in the Divided States of America and not the
United States of America. We don't focus much on our intent,
(09:28):
the Declaration of independence or our constitution, and we've certainly
abandoned God and family and other things. Therefore, we think
we're at mob rule democracy and as far as liberty
and justice for all. How do you have that in
that chaos? So we have this kind of cold civil
(09:50):
war brewing, not so cold when people get shot, but
by and large, cold civil war. Here's another glimpse of that.
Twenty five Democrat led states are assuming the Trump administration
over the coming halt and snap benefits. I mean, I'll
do it for Red because his head usually, like the emoji,
explodes with stories like this. This is the Democrat created
(10:13):
problem that they're suing a president over because they've created
I mean, you just tie your brain into a knot.
What was the one that Kennedy said in the Sean
interview duct tape can't fix stupid. Yeah, it's one of
those stupid Not even duct tape can't fix stupid. Polls
(10:37):
a plenty. I'm gonna do that coming up here in
fifteen minutes. There's one I don't want you to miss.
The breakdown of the family. The Left wasn't successful in
destroying the family in America, which is a foundation, but
they did destroy it among themselves and we see that
(10:57):
in a marriage and parenting poll and for a lot
of that are really mad at AOC this week for
a treatment of Riley Gains And I think you know
in our Sounds of the Day we cover it, but
I think they missed the point too, the notion that
Riley Gains should get a real job, as if motherhood
is not You're going to see that in this poll,
(11:20):
the view of marriage is partisanly stark, indifference and parenting stark.
AOC is just being what they've become. Speaking of what
they've become, they've damaged their brand, according to a new poll.
It's a Samophore study. And here's the big problem we
will go through and there's challenges coming for the Republicans
(11:42):
in this handoff from trump Ism. So don't get too cocky,
but the left is literally destroying itself. Now, my prediction
was one or both parties will be gone by the
end of the decade. I still think that's possible, even
the both. This study would suggest the Democrats have destroyed
(12:02):
their brand. And then the next question is, well, they
got to fix it before the midterms are certainly before
the next presidential election. No, they won't because they can't
because the cause of the brand destruction is now in
charge of the brand.
Speaker 2 (12:24):
This is your morning show with Michael del Chno.
Speaker 1 (12:33):
We cannot have your morning show without your voice. If
you're listening on the iheired app, you'll see a little microphone.
It's a talkback button. We think it's time talk radio
became a conversation again. So we think you're the most
important part of the show and what you think. So
if you have a comment or a question, no more
rotting on hold, boom, press that button. You got thirty
seconds to make it and take your place at this
(12:55):
morning's kitchen table. Hey, if you are just getting up,
the latest is Hurricane Melissa has moved back, this time
hitting a Jamaica as a Cat five, leaving some five
hundred plus thousand people without power. We believe the death
toll will rise. It's at seven, headed back out of
the waters, got to Cuba this morning as a Cat three.
(13:17):
That's where it's made landfall right now. And in other news,
the Senate has failed once again to advance another measure
aimed at any of the government shutdown. Mark Mayfield is
keeping an eye on that story as well as House Republican.
You know what, I just realized something. This is interesting
but not funny. Our news site just went down, So
(13:41):
every report we have is gone. There's no professionally covering
this up. I was doing Howard Cosell during the break down,
goes the soys. I can't play any of these stories. Well,
I can walk it through them. You don't think this
is going to be like one of those Remember the
great At and T glitch we had. Yeah, it's all down,
(14:07):
Go figure, Well, I can walk it through everything. Don't
sweat it. The Vice President jad Vance is indicating the
troops will be paid during the government shutdown, at least
for now. We has as I just talked about, twenty
five Democrat led states, and this divided states of America
in a cold civil war. Twenty five Democratic states are
suing the president over the coming halt to snap benefits
(14:30):
while the government is shut down, a shutdown they've created.
So they're suing the president over something that they have
chosen to do. The Blue Jays bounce back. I was
giving Adam a hard time. I really thought after Otani's
outing to win the NLCS with ten strikeouts and three
(14:50):
home runs, I really thought, you know, even though they
were up late and fatigue, you know, I thought he'd
be a strong start. Now they got to him six
to two. Now the World Series will go back to Toronto.
The question is who will be up three games to two,
will find out Game five is tonight. The series is
tied at two games apiece. UH. In the National Hockey League,
(15:11):
the Red Wings beat the Blues. That's two of my cities.
I can't pick a favorite here. That's Detroit and Saint Louis,
two of my favorite cities. But they went at it.
The Red Red Wings one five to two. The Sabers
lost in overtime, but we do get a point four
to three to the Blue Jackets. Lightnings slapped the Preds
in Nashville five to two, Ducks one three to two
(15:32):
in a shootout over the Panthers, and the Kings won
four to three over the Sharks last night on the hardwood.
Thunders still undefeated five and no, I think I would
be shocked. Let me just say if Oklahoma City didn't repeat,
and they are really playing well to start the season.
So one O seven, one oh one over the Kings.
(15:54):
Last night, Bucks beat the Knicks eleven and the Warriors
ninety eight seventy nine over the Clippers. Birthdays Today actor
Richard Dreyfuss, probably best known for Jaws, seventy eight years old,
Charlie's Angel Kate Jackson is seventy seven, and Stranger Things
actress Winona Ryder is fifty four. It's your birthday, Happy birthday.
(16:17):
We are so glad you were born.
Speaker 2 (16:20):
This is your Morning Show with Michael del Chno.
Speaker 1 (16:30):
Brett Beherr will join us. We're gonna talk about his
new book. I talk about Teddy Roosevelt. Oh, you're experiencing
Teddy Roosevelt more than you think. The new book To
Rescue the American Spirit, Teddy Roosevelt and the Birth of
a Superpower. We'll also talk about Brett's next project, as
well as his rumors of him going to CBS. He
(16:50):
also gives us the exclusive look. He didn't mean to
do it, but he just kind of gave in, and
he tells us what he's gonna do next. It's It's
Must Hear Radio Sounds a Day coming up next hour,
which is all, you know, more of this kind of
blame game, but there is this whole notion of what
are the Democrats doing. They're destroying themselves. More on that
(17:12):
with our Semaphore study coming up next thirty six minutes
after the hour. I am Michael del Jorno. This is
your Morning Show. Jeffrey is off this week, Adam is
filling in. Adam. I have been teasing Adam for when
did you first fill in? That was last year? Right?
Was it two years ago? I don't know where time flies,
all right, so I don't know what it is. Call
(17:34):
me crazy, but I can't. I can't say Adam's name
ever without thinking of Don Francisco. And this is an old,
I think, late seventies contemporary Christian song. So I thought, oh,
he's gonna hate it. So I played it for Adam
and he actually liked it. Wait here we go. Adam's
(18:01):
doing a wonderful job filling in this week. And you
actually liked this song? Did me a little bit. It
is catchy. Well, Don Francisco, he was good, But Adam
is filling in, and he's you know, he's a Dodger fan.
Even Mary Hart didn't go to the bathroom. She was
on the edge of her seat. Last used to sit
(18:22):
next to Larry King, and then of course Larry passed away.
But in the end, the Dodgers lost six to two,
so the series will go back to Toronto. But the
question is who will be up three games to two
when they get their Game five is tonight in Los
Angeles and I feel good about the Dodgers bouncing back
and winning tonight. So let's look at this study together.
(18:44):
Number one, I really, you know, you may not know
you can google. Howbout you describe semophore for those of
you that like your news not run through a right
or left filter but just kind of straight base. Is
I think what they would want us to say right
that they're not going to get sucked into any narratives
(19:06):
that semaphore and they give a real honest assessment of
the Democrat Party at a time where you may view
it as the wheels are coming off, but it really isn't.
This is that ongoing civil war within the party. The
only difference is the Justice Democrats, the Justice Socialist Democrats,
(19:30):
the now justice socialist Islamist Democrats they've taken over. So
you would think if we read this study, the strategists,
the podestas, the top you know, the money money top tree,
they would all want to fix this, but they can't.
They can't fix it because the problem's now in charge.
(19:51):
And you're seeing that during the shutdown, Democrats have badly
weakened their party, with far left leaning ideas and rhetoric
growing only with self described white liberals. But what did
we see in the twenty twenty four election, losing ground,
with Asians losing ground, with blacks losing well, they've lost
(20:14):
the Hispanic voting block that they once owned, and I
don't know what's left other than primarily anarchists and angry women.
The group called Welcome consulted hundreds of thousands of voters
over six months for these broad findings, including seventy percent
(20:36):
of voters that think the Democrat Party is now out
of touch with the American people. Most voters the group
found believed the party over prioritizes issues like LGBTQ or
fighting climate change. That's why I think the Bill Gates
thing is going to be so interesting, as Gates just
abandons global warming. Why they're all into AI they need power.
(21:03):
But that's kind of what's held this all together. I mean,
there is something I need to say out loud, and
that is Republicans now I don't even know. I never
really think about freedom of religion. I never really think
about freedom of speech, because once those are completely trampled,
(21:24):
we're done. Hopefully I'm gone. The issue that drives me
probably the most is life issues. I mean life, liberty,
pursuit of happiness, and we're killing babies every day. I
would probably say like, but I never just look at
one issue by and large, big picture. I have nothing
(21:45):
in common with Democrats. We don't share the same worldview,
we don't share the same policy views. We don't agree
on anything, can't never have, wouldn't vote for them. Republicans.
My problem is they often don't live what they believe.
They talk a good game, but they don't follow through,
So I have trust issues with them. I trust Democrats
(22:10):
to be crazy leftists who will do what they say.
I can't always trust Republicans, but the left is able
to hold it together if you just focus on LGBTQ,
and that's all they focus on. They're obsessed themselves. They're
solid Democrats. Even if there's other areas the Democrats are
(22:30):
pursuing they disagree with, they'll still vote Democrat. So they're
kind of a bunch of loose threads. That's why you
see them play identity politics or issue politics because they
can be pandered to. If you told the Republican I'm
(22:50):
going to give you a free rent, they go there's
no such thing as free. You'd be laughed out of
the room. Mam Donnie is days away from being Oh wait,
do you hear sounds of the day to day? By
the way, So they have these issues, but each and
every issue, whether it's global warming, whether it's LGBTQ, whether
it's open borders, it all gets to the level of
(23:14):
insanity and certainly over focus and taken to an extreme.
The report urges party members to abandon some of the
progressive language when it comes to race, abortion, LGBTQ, and
Democrats began using it in twenty twelve. It recommends the
(23:35):
nomination of more candidates willing to vote with Republicans. That'll
never happen. We're in the middle of the fight fight
fight charge. They literally want a lipnus test to be
you can't run for president unless you pledge to tear
down the East Wing of the White House once you're elected.
(23:56):
That's how ridiculously hateful they are right now. Inspired by
Politics of Evasion, an influential nineteen eighty nine paperback that
inspired the party's more centris shift under Clinton, the seventy
page Decided to Win, the document argues that Democrats must
be willing to break with unpopular party orthodoxies rise in
(24:23):
Democrat lawmakers supporting radical bills. Reparations went from one percent
to fifty seven percent in ten years. Inmate voting rights
went from ford to forty one percent in ten years,
and assault weapons ban went from forty one to eighty
eight percent in ten years. The Democrat Party is shifted
(24:46):
to the far left with its members of Congress. Unfortunately
for them, the country hasn't for the last twenty years
reports as Democrats have just misunderstood how actually to win election. Well,
they've mastered more of how to manipulate them. Somebody even
(25:06):
used the word steeled them. The report doesn't urge Democrats
to move fully to the right, reserving vocal praise for
several progressive stars in the party with more direct appeal
to economic opportunity and lowering the cost of living. The
risk they see is that Democrats moving so far left,
(25:29):
with even some in the establishment of the party having
done while criticizing Mandani, most have not, and they have
supported them over those eleven years. The Sheriff Congressional Democrat
co sponsors of bills to study reparations. We saw that
increase very radicalized. Bottom line is this one paragraph the report,
(26:00):
study of National Democrat party platforms from twenty twelve to
twenty twenty four found a surge in language about specific
radical groups up eight hundred and twenty eight percent, environmental
justice up three hundred and thirty three percent, LGBTQ rights
up one thousand and forty four percent. Mentions of men
fell by sixty three percent, fathers by one hundred percent,
(26:24):
responsibility by eighty three percent. What do we always say
the two questions? Nobody ever asks that they should? What
is the proper size and role of government? Nobody ever
asks it. Nobody even answers it. And what is the
role in the responsibility of the self governed? Nobody asks it.
(26:46):
Nobody answers it. A deep down, we all know it's
there and we know it to be true. This is
a party that has gone left and taking the country
left with it. The problem is the country has kind
(27:07):
of sprung back to center and they've gone further left.
So the question becomes, would they correct their course?
Speaker 4 (27:20):
No?
Speaker 1 (27:21):
I think they're going to go four, full blown, full
steam ahead, extreme left. We're seeing that with Mom Donnie.
We're seeing that with AOC she will be the front
runner for the presidential nomination, and that leaves the Republicans
to sit there and let them destroy themselves.
Speaker 2 (27:41):
Right.
Speaker 1 (27:42):
Oh, there's stuff brewing on that side too, for those
of you that are on the internet. Look, I'm aware
of Tucker Carlson and what he's doing. There's something not
(28:03):
right and there's something bruin, and we don't have to
comment on it now because we just I don't know.
I can't react until respond until I see what happens.
But we're watching, and I'm just reminded of my own prediction.
One or both parties. Both parties may be gone by
(28:23):
the end of this decade. For the left, they need
to correct their course, but they won't because the problem's
in charge the right. They may start fighting and destroying
themselves all over money, all over power. We got a
lot to watch, but there's no question at this moment,
(28:43):
heading into the holidays, then the midterms, then the next
presidential election, the brand of the Democrat Party has been
damaged greatly. Now can they correct their course? My honest
ist dude opinion is they can't because the very ones
that grabbed the steering wheel and turned it all the
(29:04):
way to the left are in charge of the ship.
Speaker 2 (29:09):
This is your morning show with Michael Deltno.
Speaker 1 (29:18):
David, and I is going to walk us through our
journey of discovery. Why did Bill Gates suddenly turn from
climate change in while all the technocrats follow him? Of
course they follow the money. Why don't they care about
the environment anymore? Because they care a lot more about
electricity they needed for their ai. We have that journey
of discovery coming up for you if you're just waking up.
We're keeping an eye on Hurricane Melissa. She pounded Jamaica.
(29:42):
The death toll is at seven, expected to rise some
five hundred thousand plus without power. Melissa left a Cat four,
arrived in Cuba a Cat three, where seven hundred and
fifty thousand have already been evacuated at home. Well Sentenfield
once again to advance another measure aimed at undying the
government shut down. Mark Mayfield has more.
Speaker 3 (30:01):
This was a scene in the Senate Tuesday on.
Speaker 4 (30:04):
This vote the age of fifty four than as of
forty five, three fists of the Senate duly chosen and sworn,
not having voted any firm. The motion upon reconsideration is
not agreed to.
Speaker 3 (30:14):
The shutdown has stretched into its fourth week.
Speaker 5 (30:16):
This comes as a group of Democratic States in Washington,
DC are suing the Trump administration as millions are set
to lose food assistance on Saturday. Meanwhile, flank delays are
starting to pile up as air traffic control towers deal
with staffing issues.
Speaker 3 (30:29):
I marked the deal.
Speaker 1 (30:30):
Forty eight Democrat senators voted against the bill yesterday, and
today they're going to sue the president. You can't make
this stuff up. Visitors of federal parks might want to
avoid using the restrooms.
Speaker 6 (30:44):
Many across the US haven't been cleaned since the government
shutdown began weeks ago, so the facilities are a little
worse for the wear. Some parks, such as Rocket Creek
and Washington d C. Have set up PORTA John's sanitation
crews from the National Park Service. Are the nine thousand
plus of the agency's fourteen thousand, five hundred employees furloughed.
Speaker 1 (31:05):
I'm Jim Roup. And then there's that issue of use
of National Guard troops in Portland. It will remain on
hold for a few more days at least. Brad Ford
has more.
Speaker 7 (31:14):
Judges on the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals have voted
to rehear whether National Guard troops can be used for
law enforcement of federal buildings in Portland. Previously, a three
judge panel decided troops should be allowed. Now an eleven
judge appeals court panel will here the case. The use
of National Guard troops in Portland will remain on hold
until the case is decided.
Speaker 1 (31:34):
I'm brad Ford. I'm trying to think other than come on,
come on, come on, come on, not touching me, babe.
I don't know that that was that big of a
Doors fan. But they're celebrating their sixtieth anniversary. Would the
re release of the documentary film When You're Strange.
Speaker 2 (31:50):
Strange Faces come outrange.
Speaker 5 (32:00):
And remastered in four K for the first time, and
will feature an introduction from John Densmore and Robbie.
Speaker 3 (32:05):
Kreeger, as well as the exclusive.
Speaker 5 (32:07):
Debut of the newly recorded performance of Writers on the Storm.
The film will be released worldwide in theaters on December
fourth and sixth.
Speaker 3 (32:14):
Tickets go on sale this Thursday. I'm Mark Mayfield.
Speaker 1 (32:17):
Well today, Today's definitely give a great day for my wife.
This is her day pre Tennis with more on National
Cat Day.
Speaker 8 (32:24):
There are over twenty five national days every year that
celebrate cats. If you ask a cat, that's not enough,
because if you have one, you know every day is
National Cat Day. They know the exact moment you need
to get up and that's when they jump on your lap,
so you can't typical cat behavior and we love it.
To celebrate today, shower your cat with affection, donate to
an animal shelter, or better yet, adopt a cat or
(32:47):
two and learn how awesome they are for yourself.
Speaker 3 (32:50):
I'm pre tennis.
Speaker 1 (32:51):
My favorite cat is the one I affectionately named dumpster Cat.
All right. World Series is tied to two games apiece.
