Speaker 1 (00:00):
Hey, it's me Michael.
Speaker 2 (00:00):
Your morning show can be heard live five to eight
am Central, six to nine Eastern and great cities like Jackson, Mississippi, Akron, Ohio,
or Columbus, Georgia. We'd love to be a part of
your morning routine and we're grateful you're here.
Speaker 3 (00:12):
Now.
Speaker 1 (00:13):
Enjoy the podcast. I'm enjoying listening to your radio program.
Speaker 4 (00:17):
Yes, starting your morning off right. A new way of talk,
a new way of understanding because we're in this together.
This is your morning show with Michael O'Dell Chornan.
Speaker 1 (00:34):
Why is it no matter what I say? You bring
up Red has it worse? But every time doesn't matter
what I say because Red works harder than anybody else
on the show, And you've always what am I doing
over here? Playing I'm the guy with the symbols?
Speaker 5 (00:50):
Do list?
Speaker 1 (00:51):
Seriously? You do your running man. I think whenever I
play that Stranglehold song, I think I agree with And
now sometimes I just need you to listen. Eight minutes
after the hour, Good morning, and welcome to Thursday, November
the twentieth. You have out Little twenty twenty five tomorrow
on the show, of course Friday with forty seven later
(01:12):
today Scott Jennings from CNN now with a new book,
of course, Sounds of the Day, top stories, everything you
need to start your morning off right. Thanks for making
us a part of your morning routine. This is your
morning show. I'm Michael. That's Jeffrey. Of course, nobody has
it worse than Red keeping an eye on the content.
It works harder than everybody, if you're just woring. I
don't think that he drinks more than anybody. I know
(01:32):
he works harder. Another show, they noticed like his like
American flag thing is crooked. Must have run into it,
staggered into it, a little tipsy. The flag is at
half there, half staf Hey. Now President Trump has signed
the bill to release the Jeffrey Epstein files. Of course
we already have our first victim before he releases the files,
(01:55):
and that is Larry Summer. So this guy is just
you know, uh. He was featured of the movie Social Network.
He's the one that's the Harvard president with the over
the the the fans something twins. Oh, I know you're
talking about tinos. The Winklevoss twins. The Winklevoss wins. It's
(02:18):
a famous scene. That's where he coins the phrase and
you were doing this while you should have been doing what.
But he was a Clinton Treasury secretary, president of Harvard
University recently.
Speaker 3 (02:29):
He could say the same thing about him, Michael, and
he could use.
Speaker 1 (02:33):
Those I mean he didn't. But here's the point of
the victimhood. Larry Summer never abused any young girls. He
never was in There's no proof that he was involved
in any of that. All we have are ongoing text
messages with Epstein even after the scandal and creepy thing. Yeah,
(02:57):
Epstein called him a wingman. You know, he was just trying, Hey,
teach me how to pick up chicks, and you know,
just embarrassing stuff. But he is the first collateral damage
before the files are even released. Funeral services and Vice
President Cheney are set for today in our nation's capital.
President Trump will not be attending. Investors are starting to
temper their expectations for a December interest rate cut. Our
(03:20):
economist and money was David Bonnson will be along in
the third hour. Alicia Silverstone and Peta are in search
of two missing giraffes in Virginia. How do you hide A?
Is this gonna say? Walker? Honey? Look at the beautiful
moon tonight. Hey, did a head just walk by behind
that roof? Is that a draft in your bucket? Or
(03:40):
you just have me to see me? It was country
music's biggest nights. Oh my goodness, do people in country
radio still talking syllables? I don't know. I got kicked
out of country radio for not being able to talk
like that. We've got a local country station here at iHeart.
I should go do weekends. Bobby doesn't talk like that, though, No,
Bobby Bones doesn't. But there was a time when every
country dish jack you talk about, they always had real
(04:02):
low voices and the k ninem today's hot new country.
I could have done that and made eighteen grand a year. Absolutely,
Landy Wilson the big winner she was not. That was
like that reminded me of the night pop Music's Greatest Night,
where everybody forgets all the hits line out. Richie had
that year and he won every American Music Award as
(04:26):
he's hosting the show, as he's organizing that we are
the World recording that would be done all night long
right after the show. Landy Wilson had a night like that.
What didn't she win? I don't know. She gives me
hope for as they say in the industry, she gives
me hope for the genre. Oh I thought you were
gonna say it like an old person. No excuse me.
Hope was best male vocalist. Well she well had she
(04:53):
had she transitioned halfway through, she probably would have. What
did she have? Artist? The entertainer of the year, Song
of the Year? I mean, she won it all and
hosted and tonight Thursday Night Football brings the Buffalo Bills
to Houston to take on the Texans. That one is
a rare good Thursday night football game. Bills find themselves
on the road needing a win bad and the Texans
(05:17):
are very improved. That should be a good affair tonight,
all right. The President, not to be outdone by the
twenty one point Plan for Peace in the Middle East,
has come up with a twenty eight point plan for
peace between Russia and Ukraine. The Trump administration drafted the
twenty eight point piece plan that calls for Ukraine to
make major territorial concessions. Now, listen, We've said this from
(05:39):
the very very beginning. There's no way to end this
without some compromise. I mean, and look, everybody is always
quick to tell you, well, this has turned into another
Afghanistan for Russia. And yes, and they've certainly alienated themselves
with the world. And I would have no problem if
(06:03):
you said, there are no signs whatsoever that Russia can
win this war, so why do you keep fighting? Well,
they don't have a lot to lose. It's mostly North
Korean soldiers getting killed. But make no mistake about it,
there's no one that thinks Ukraine can win this war either.
I mean, somebody's got to get these two to sit
(06:23):
down and realize, Okay, this is going nowhere, let's stop it.
And in that how do we stop it. There's going
to have to be some concessions, and the only way
to avoid the concessions is is to win the war.
And there's no one that thinks Ukraine can defeat Russia.
(06:46):
So we knew this was coming, and we knew everybody's
gonna cry foul, but there's no way around it. There'll
be major territorial concessions to Russia, drop demands for a
peacekeeping force to deter future attacks by Moscow. You're just
gonna have to trust if we end up back here,
(07:07):
all the same people have your back. US official said
resurfacing ideas that Kiev has already rejected, probably won't be
received very well. The administration is attempting the same approach
it used to achieve and broker a ceasefire in the
Gaza last month, only this one's bigger, So we'll do
(07:27):
twenty eight instead of twenty one. Points. The blueprint, which
was worked out by Secretary of State Marco Rubio, Special
Envoy Steve Whitcoff, and Trump's son in law Jared Kushner
in consultation with the Kremlin confidant, is likely to run
into strong opposition on the Ukraine side and probably from
the European side. In Europe, they're next in line to this.
(07:57):
So if they pull this stunt and get away with
it in Ukraine, when someday they try it in Poland
or somewhere eld, it's going to be a tough sell.
Not that the Middle East was an easy sell. President
Trump supports the new plan, which materialized after he told
AIDS to craft new proposals that included incentives for the
two sides to reach a deal. Look, it's better than
(08:20):
the stalemate. At least it gets conversations going in Things
were kind of moving towards peace, or at least moving
towards Putin was going to sit down with Trump and
then it just ended and bombing commenced. Can a twenty
eight point plan end this war? I don't know. Can
it get them back talking? Yes, Washington's counting on Russia's
(08:44):
desire for revived economic relations with the West. How long
can they be alienated and lose money this way and
deal with sanctions. Trump's year long effort to broker peace
hasn't yielded results so far. Most can we live in
a matrix? Right, So if you get your news from
(09:06):
a left source, or you're listening to a radio show
or television show that's ultimately getting its news from a
left source, this is going to be all about Donald
Trump desperate to get a Nobel Peace Prize. There's only
one person knows if that's the only egotistical motive, and
that's Donald Trump. But there's no evidence of that. This
is a consistent character trait and policy trait of the
(09:29):
president that it's pretty much been the focus of his
entire first term. Now, I'm a realist, so I can
tell you the president was racking up peace opportunities and
(09:49):
it's not I mean Phase two was always going to
be the most difficult part in the Middle East. But
Hamas is not leaving, Hamas is not disarming. Hamas is
gaining popularity with the Palestinian in the territory, who maybe,
at the end of the day Colonel Bouchie line of
the week, maybe they hate Israel and America and Jews
(10:13):
and Christians as much as the thugs who have been
running their countries. So these Palestinian people aren't that different
from the terrorists who've done all the fighting for them.
That may be the biggest problem in the twenty one
point plan moving forward, and that was a naivete in
the twenty one point plan. You're talking about individuals that
(10:41):
don't see Israel's right to exist, and they're within the
Israeli borders. You can't defeat them. All you can do
is kill them, because as long as they're alive, they're
going to be about the destruction of Israel and then America,
the killing of all Jews and the killing of all Christians.
(11:02):
For what purpose. Well, the Hiddenmaji appears. There's complete Islamic
surrender in the world, followed by judgment and the only
promise of eternal life in Islam is to martyr yourself,
So there's no motive for peace. There's every motive for war.
(11:29):
So this notion that Hamas would disarm and stay there
and suddenly play nice, you didn't convert them, and that's
kind of playing out. So peace is kind of stalled
in the Middle East in phase two. We've never gotten
(11:51):
to peace with Russia and Ukraine, and it looks like
we're headed to war with Venezuela. I mean, that's why
earlier in the week we were saying peace, peace, Peace,
what happened to where's the piece? By the same token,
you got to appreciate a president that's trying, who has
a position of world leader and the respect of the world.
(12:13):
It's been a while since we've had that, and at
least he's trying, and Marco Rubio's trying, and as long
as there is effort and as long as there are proposals,
there's hope. I think the ultimate bias is when they
(12:36):
constantly refer to it as like the president just wants
to get an open peace price. But then I woke
up and I think it was NBC. I'm positive it
was NBC chose to make the announcement that the President
signed the bill to release the Epstein files by using
a picture of a younger Donald Trump with Jeffrey Epstein.
(12:58):
You know, like they were just getting right to head
out to the club or head back to the house
for a massage. As we always remind you, the biggest problem,
bigger than our problems, is the matrix that keeps us
from being able to address them. Honestly. Anyway, we got
a lot to cover today. As we often say, there's
(13:20):
only one chance to live this Thursday, November twentieth. And
isn't it going to be fun to have Scott Jennings
from CNN stop. That's very I wonder if you won't shine,
because you know he's used to being surrounded by enemies.
How did he get our number? How did we get
his number? Is the better question. Later in the Morning
Show third hour, we'll have Scott Jennings. By the way,
(13:41):
as we always say, if like you're listening right now,
you're going, well, I won't be around in three hours.
That's why we have the podcast. Just search your morning
show into the iHeartRadio app or go to our website
and spell it out your Morningshow online dot com and
you'll find the link. You can always catch up with
the podcast later.
Speaker 6 (13:57):
This is your morning Show with Michael del Chuno.
Speaker 1 (14:01):
John Decker will join us from the White House, coming
up next half hour. He's early today. He little something
for my platinum cod listeness if you're just waking up.
The President has reportedly signed off on the Russian Ukraine
peace plan. Mark Mayfield reports on the details.
Speaker 7 (14:16):
NBC News says he approved the twenty eight point proposal
earlier this week. A senior administration official tells the network
that the plan has been in the works for several weeks,
with the top US officials consulting both the Russian envoy
and Ukrainian representatives. The reports Special Envoy Steve Wikoff, Vice
President JD. Vance, and Secretary of State Marco Rubio were
among those who helped shape the proposal. The news comes
(14:39):
as an American delegation arrived Wednesday in Kiev to meet
with Ukrainian officials.
Speaker 1 (14:44):
I'm Mark Mayfield. Well, I think David Sandani and I
try to always remind you and keep you balanced, but
a lot of you very very confident in the direction
of the country. Listen, political waves, they crash quickly. A
new poll shows a significant majority of American voters leaning
towards electing Democrat candidates in the midterms.
Speaker 8 (15:03):
The latest Marris poll shows when respondents were asked which
party's candidate they're most likely to vote for in their
congressional district, Democrats had a fourteen point advantage over Republicans.
Findings show both parties received nearly all of their own
affiliated voters support, but some independent voters who supported President
Trump in twenty twenty four appear to be breaking from
(15:23):
GOP congressional candidates. I'm Jim Roop in a ford By
for by Thy Tonight for Lady Wilson at the CMAS.
Speaker 1 (15:32):
Not only did she hosts the show in Nashville, but
she won the top honor of Entertainer of the Year,
as well as Album of the Year and Female Vocalist
of the Year. Texas country singer Cody Johnson beat out
Chris Stapleton and Luke Combs to win Male Vocalist of
the Year.
Speaker 9 (15:49):
Hey, everybody's john Ford Coley of England, Dan and john
Ford Coley. And my morning show is your morning show
with Michael del Journo.
Speaker 2 (16:03):
Hey, it's Michael reminding you that your morning show can
be heard live each weekday morning five to eighth Central,
six to nine Eastern in great cities like Nashville, Tennessee, Tupelo, Mississippi,
and Sacramento, California. We'd love to be a part of
your morning routine and take the drive to work with you,
but better late than never.
Speaker 1 (16:19):
We're grateful you're here. Now enjoy the podcast. It is Thursday,
November the twentieth yevlud twenty twenty five. The President has
signed the bill to release the Jeffrey Epstein files. Now
what and how soon will we see it? The President
is also reportedly signed off on a twenty eight point
peace plan to end the war between Russia and Ukraine,
(16:40):
and former Vice President Tick Cheney will be laid to rest.
His funeral is set today in our nation's capital. Of
all of our and I think there's one hundred and seven.
I love the call letters of this one. It honors
my old friend Rush Limbaugh k eib in Los Angeles.
Suffer not thy call learn. I think the two part
(17:01):
plan for the least was designed to show who the
Palace to people really are.
Speaker 3 (17:09):
So that's my two cents.
Speaker 1 (17:11):
That would be brilliant if it was because it did. I.
I have always felt like.
Speaker 5 (17:23):
The the part where the Arab world and reasonable Muslim
nations would oversee this, the notion that.
Speaker 1 (17:36):
The Palestinian people are innocent. They just have these different
thugs sponsored by terrorist nations that like to pop in
and run their territory and wage war on Russia. But
if you know, we can get the Arab and Muslim
nations to oversee this and police this in the future,
at least it's not the United States or Israel having
to do it. I think that's brilliant. And whether it
(17:57):
was planned or not planned, the brilliance has certainly revealed
the Palestine people. It'll be tough to beat that. As
caller of the day, thank you for the call. In
Los Angeles, all right, Republicans are pushing back on President
Trump's plan for a tariff rebate check. We wish they
to push back harder. On the plane itself to the
White House we go and our White House correspondent John Decker,
(18:18):
Good morning, John.
Speaker 3 (18:20):
Good morning to you, Michael. How are you doing today?
Speaker 1 (18:23):
Early for you? What's the deal?
Speaker 3 (18:25):
Early? Early?
Speaker 10 (18:26):
I have some other things that I must attend to,
so I think that I it's a good thing I'm
speaking to you as opposed to not speaking to you much.
Speaker 1 (18:34):
I know that it's you're standing in the dark at
the White House, all right, Republicans, some Republican I guess
some Republicans? How many? And who is pushing against the president?
I know I'm one of them. So who is it
that's at least speaking for me?
Speaker 10 (18:48):
Well, besides you, the biggest name in the Republican Party
in the US Senate, that's a guy named John Thoon,
the Senate Majority Leader.
Speaker 3 (18:57):
He's pushing back.
Speaker 10 (18:58):
And then alongside him Shelley Moore Capito, she's the senior
Republican senator from West Virginia. And James Langford, the senior
Republican Senator from Oklahoma, all of them deficit half. They say,
if you're going to use money from all that tariff
revenue that's coming into the US Treasury, use it to
pay down the federal deficit. Don't use it for the
(19:20):
purposes of sending out these.
Speaker 3 (19:23):
Tariff rebate checks.
Speaker 10 (19:25):
So you have some big names, including the majority leader,
and to me, that means it's likely not going to
happen as it relates to what the president wants to do.
Speaker 1 (19:34):
That's why I started with how many enough that it's
done already. The problem is, you know, and you've been
around Washington obviously for eight presidencies. Some mornings you get
up and it's tough. If from my audience, if a
Democrat president was doing it, everyone would go, well, that's
means tested it's wrong for government to pick and choose
(19:55):
winners and losers. And especially on this the people with
money are going to spend more mone honey, and they're
going to pay the most of this tariff, which is
a tax, and now you want to give everybody else
a rebate and not you know, the people that are
paying the most. Why are we picking and choosing winners
and losers? But yet when it's our president doing it,
you know, nobody wants to stand up and say it's
a bad idea, it's a bad idea, and it needs
(20:17):
to die. It looks like it's headed towards that it's
headed towards that.
Speaker 10 (20:21):
I haven't heard the same kind of pushback coming from
Republicans in the House.
Speaker 3 (20:24):
They generally fall in line behind the president.
Speaker 10 (20:26):
But the fact that John Thune is very public about it,
he's not saying it behind closed doors. He's not just
saying it whispering in the ear to the president. He's
saying it publicly. That sends a strong message. The President
has spoken about getting the checks out in the early
part of twenty twenty six. I just don't see that
happening when you have opposition coming from the majority leader
(20:48):
as well as two again loyal Republican senators in shellymore
Capital and James Langor.
Speaker 3 (20:54):
Well.
Speaker 1 (20:54):
The President is making a final push for peace between
Russia and Ukraine. Things have somewhat gotten choppy with Phase
two in the Middle East, and things look like a
drum beat towards war with Venezuela. Looks like he wants
to close out before the holidays. Would one more final
push in this area because he'd better come back after
the holidays and focus on the economy.
Speaker 3 (21:16):
Well, that's right.
Speaker 10 (21:17):
I think that is going to be the focus after
the holidays. You know, the president, if you heard his
comments yesterday when he was at that US Saudi Investment
Forum summit that took place at the Kennedy Center, if
you heard his language, he kind of downplayed the affordability issue,
and that's a big issue, it really is. He may
not like the word, but that's how people feel right now,
(21:40):
and you know, you got to focus on the economy,
quite frankly, the US economy, the domestic economy, and the
President i'm sure is getting that message from his team.
Speaker 1 (21:48):
Well it's the economy, stupid, right, That's what got him
allot right, quite frankly, it's with John Decker, our White
House correspondent. So President's not attending of vice presidents funeral
services today in our nation's capital, you know, so.
Speaker 10 (22:04):
That we're talking about de Cheney, and of course passed
away a few weeks ago. The flags across the country
still at half masted, and that will change when this
after the funeral occurs.
Speaker 3 (22:15):
But who will be there. The former President of the
United States, George W. Bush.
Speaker 10 (22:20):
He's coming to Washington to pay his respects to his
former vice president.
Speaker 1 (22:24):
Kind of the old establishment guard meets the although Vice
President Pence will also be attending as well. All right, well,
go get yourself a flashlight. You're off to an early start.
John Decker, White correspond If you want to know everything
going on inside the White House and inside our nation's capital,
the White House Briefing Room with John Decker, it's a
great podcast. I highly recommend it. It'll be released at
(22:46):
nine Eastern this morning, eighth Central, and we'll talk to
John tomorrow. God bless you. John. All right, talking about
the release of the the Epstein files. The legislation requires
Attorney General Pam Bondi to release all unclassified records related
to Epstein within thirty days. So your first question is
(23:10):
I found it interesting? Think of all the did I
miss it? Read? Because last night I'm caught up in
a binge? Can I give a pre plug to a binge?
It's called The rain Maker. Don't confuse it with the movie.
It's a twenty twenty five series on Peacock, very very
(23:31):
good I only got two episodes left. But usually when
the president signs things, he does it well. It's based
on that. This is The rain Maker is the movie,
This is The rain Maker, the series, very good man. Fantastic.
It's a combination between the rain Maker and the Firm.
(23:52):
It really is. It's fantastic. It's funny you say that
because now when I watch Peak, I don't know why.
I mean, I get like a commercial. It seems like
every two minutes, a short one, like you know, sometimes
it's thirty seconds, sometimes it's a minute, but it's constant interruptions.
But uh, this is as good as it felt, more
like watching the Firm than anything else. It was really
(24:14):
that good. And the cast is terrific. And I don't
know who this kid is that is the main isn't
he spectacular? I think he's from England, but doesn't ture
to tell you.
Speaker 10 (24:24):
I meant to tell you about that when we were
doing binges one time and I was like, I was
blown away by the show.
Speaker 1 (24:29):
Yeah, and the and his girlfriend is the is Beth
in The Feast of the Seven Fishes, which is far
and away my favorite Christmas movie. She's a terrific actress too,
just a great, great cast and a great well John Grissom.
But this, this story keeps up with that premise. It's
very very well written. So I was binging that. But
normally the president does signings in the Oval office and
they're always the press is always invited. It looks like
(24:54):
that didn't happen with Epstein. He just didenough depend sign
this and then he and then he based just announced
it on true Social which I thought was, you know,
the left is going to do this story one way.
The Right's going to do the story one way. I'm
in the middle. I found that odd. Like, look at
the news headline today, President Trump says he has signed
(25:17):
the bill to release the Jeffrey Epstein file. After all
this President I did it, but nobody saw it. Where
he's virtually signed every executive order or every other law
with a White House full of people. I really expected
late in the afternoon for there to be alive signing
in the Oval Office and a big deal made out
(25:38):
of it. No, just a post on True's social And
the next morning President says he signed. And then the
next question is, all right, so when do we see everything?
I mean, I hope you didn't take today off and
you're gonna sit by your computer because now Pam BONDI
could drag her feet for thirty days. And I bet
every day it waits, someone will read into that. Don't forget.
(26:03):
It requires to release all unclassified records, how many are classified,
how many have been redacted, redacted properly, but will be
seen conspiratorial. Well, if you think this mess is going away,
it's like Trump derangement that doesn't go away when the
(26:24):
president leaves office. It transfers. It's like a vowel on
the wheel of fortune. It's yours to keep when you
buy it. President signed the bill Wednesday to compel Justice
Department to release files related to Jeffrey Epstein, capping off
a months long, months long, years long push. Trump had
(26:46):
previously said he would sign the measure into law, even
as he continued calling in a largely Democratic led hoax
and push. Instead of holding a public bill signing ceremony
at the White House as he has with other pieces
of legis and Trump just announces it untrue social we're
reporting today. We think he did, but nobody saw it.
(27:10):
And then he used the picture the bill, used the
signing to poke shots at Representative Clay Higgins of Louisiana
for voting against it. Love my President, don't mishear me.
Respect the office of the Presidency. He's dead wrong on this,
and Clay Higgins is dead right. You don't throw two
hundred and fifty years of jurisprudence out the window for
(27:35):
partisan weaponry or an over curious tabloid America. And there's
gonna be some people whose lives are ruined. This is
going to be very much like and I can't believe
I finally remember it, Ashley Madison, Ladies and gentlemen, I
do have a memory, correct, You know what I think
the difference is Today I grabbed a water and I
chugged about twenty ounces. I think, my little you know,
(27:57):
when I have brain farts, I think it's because I'm dehydrated.
I just woke up that i'd possibly be. I hit
the ground running and working. You know, some of us
work as hard as red. Yeah, that was passive, passive aggressive.
I apologize, Welcome to Thursday, and then I just sit
here and drink coffee. I'm dehydrated, of course you are.
But remember Ashley Madison. That whole thing was I mean,
(28:19):
there were people who killed themselves when there was the
data breach, thinking their name was going to be released. Well,
nothing ever became of that because what was really ultimately
revealed they weren't talking to real people. It was all bots.
That might explain why they never met him, all right,
(28:40):
But but there were people who were would have been
embarrassed had their name been released, and literally took their
life in this case, any name released. Even Larry Summers
is a great example. Okay, you doing having a friendship
(29:01):
with Jeffrey Epstein after he's been arrested, and you know,
what he's been up to. That doesn't look good, not
for a former Treasury secretary, Harvard president, or Harvard professor.
It's embarrassing at best and it's slimy at worst. But
(29:21):
there's no evidence he victimized any underage women. But Michael,
don't you think his name is mentioned in it's going
to be coming up everywhere in these Well that's what
I'm saying is but is this about the text messages
and emails that have leaked or is this about how
(29:43):
much he's going to be in this report? So, but
I don't understand the roll out, Like the part that
didn't make sense to me was why would you say
I'm going to take a little break and then you know,
but I'll keep teaching and then he comes back and says,
now I'm gonna take a break. Period. That's the part
that I thought he was going to be able to
And it's thing is just rolling. Yeah, I don't mean
(30:03):
that he's you know, I don't want to. I don't know.
Maybe it's not the right wording to say he's a victim,
But there's gonna be a lot of people like that.
That's the point Clay Higgins was making there's no protection.
I mean even the people that came forward in depositions
making accusations. These people were never cross examined, this never
went to trial. Nothing has been proved. But it's not
(30:26):
even that any name whatsoever. I mean, look what NBC did,
the sickest thing you could do. Why wouldn't they do that?
And I'm surprised in the matrix it didn't happen. Where
Fox has the headline President Trump issige the bill to
release the Epstein files, with a picture of Epstein and Clinton,
while NBC has the same headline with a picture of
(30:46):
Epstein and Trump. That's how it's just. It's just a
political weapon. And now that we're opening the bomb up,
will it explode or be diffused? I think you've listened
to this show long enough to know which.

starting to temper their expectations for that December interest rate cut.
That's because the Bureau of Labor Statistics announced a new
schedule of data releases, and notably, the October jobs report
is not among them, along with related data on hiring
and layoffs. The November jobs report is being pushed back
(32:24):
to mid December after the Federal Reserve concludes its final
policy meeting of the year. After the last rate cut,
FED chair Jerome Powell indicated the lack of economic data
due to the government shutdown means another cut is not
a certainty. I'm Chris Karagia. Former Treasury Secretary Larry Summers
is stepping back from his teaching role at Harvard University,
where he once served as president, over the emails showing
(32:47):
his close ties to convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein. He's
also resigning for the board of Open AI. Nick Harper
has the latest.
Speaker 11 (32:54):
The released emails showed that Larissum has stay in close
communication with Jeffrey Epstein even after the late financiers' conviction
for sex offenses. The emails revealed that some has made
sexist comments and asked Epstein for romantic advice. Earlier this week,
Some has said he would be stepping back from public commitments.
The Center for American Progress, where Somers was a senior fellow,
(33:17):
has now also severed ties with the former Treasury secretary.
Somers has said he is deeply ashamed of his actions
and takes full responsibility for his misguided decision to continue
communicating with Epstein. I'm Nick Harper and Washington.
Speaker 1 (33:32):
