You're about to listen to the Late Round Fantasy Football Show,
which originally aired yesterday on YouTube. If you'd like to

Round Fantasy Football YouTube channel at one pm Eastern every
Friday during this twenty twenty five season. That's on YouTube

(00:20):
here's this week's episode.

Speaker 2 (00:36):
All right, welcome in too, Late Round Fantasy Football Show
sponsored by DraftKings. David Kitchen here alongside JJJJ.

Speaker 3 (00:43):
How's it going? Must be nice?

Speaker 1 (00:44):
Must be nice to just go to San Diego and
hang out with your family and just have a great
time while I'm over here.

Speaker 3 (00:53):
Just getting destroyed by rest of season rankings questions.

Speaker 2 (00:57):
Mega Mega tilting. Yeah, I told you earlier that you
know I did. I had a great time in San Diego.
And this will be in the newsletter coming up. By
the way, if you haven't subscribed for the newsletter, do so.
But there is just something about getting outside and being
with the people and understanding, hey, they're one of us

(01:20):
as well. Monday night, in the line for ice cream,
I'm looking at my phone. I needed thirty yards for
Xavier Worthy and I was playing against Isaiah Pacheco, and
this game was.

Speaker 3 (01:30):
Going on at like two pm your time at this point.

Speaker 2 (01:33):
Yeah, no, it's this is the fourth quarter, so it's
like seven pm, seven thirty pm night.

Speaker 1 (01:38):
Honestly, Primetime Games West Coast is not not bad, not
bad at all.

Speaker 2 (01:44):
And I hear this guy two guys behind me with
his he has two daughters as well, and he's like yes,
and I'm like I look back and I was like,
fantasy is like, yeah, Kelsey just caught it. I just
won my match up. I'm like, awesome. I didn't say like, hey,
you know Jay, Yeah, I worked for him. I didn't
say that.

Speaker 3 (02:02):
I just you could just say, do you know me,
David Kitchen?

Speaker 2 (02:05):
No, No, because do you know who I am? Obviously
he didn't when I just like looked at him and
like point to late round. No, I didn't. But then
after we got ice cream, I go to the market
and there's this European fellow behind the counter and he's like, oh,
come on, you know, we're watching this ridiculous end of

(02:28):
the Jags Chiefs game. Just a ridiculous whoever put that
on the quad box?

Speaker 3 (02:35):
Oh yeah you did put that? All right? All right?
You redeemed yourself.

Speaker 4 (02:39):
Right, and so he's rooting for his team defense and
I'm just like, it was just two situations within thirty
minutes that just reminded me fantasy football is for everybody
and we love it.

Speaker 3 (02:54):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (02:54):
Well, I mean it's nice that you get to meet
and see people who play fantasy football.

Speaker 3 (02:57):
Instead.

Speaker 1 (02:58):
I went to the dentist yesterday and the dental gennis
was like, oh, you know.

Speaker 3 (03:01):
Are you working today? What do you do for a living?
And I was like, yeah, you know, I got podcasts
and I do that kind of thing.

Speaker 1 (03:07):
I always say. I now my go to is just
to say that I'm a podcaster. It's easier, it's it's
more all encompassing. And she was like, oh, like what
kind of you know, Like, what what's your your topic
that you focus on.

Speaker 3 (03:18):
I was like, fantasy football.

Speaker 1 (03:20):
And then she's like, oh, I've never, you know, really
played fantasy football. And that's fine, like that, I don't.
I don't need everyone to play fantasy football. So then
there's like the questions and the and I'm and and
there's like so much depth to talking to somebody who's
never played fantasy football and doing that while your mouth
is wide open and you're getting.

Speaker 3 (03:39):
Between it was it was, it was, it was a lot.

Speaker 1 (03:44):
I mean, she was great, super nice woman, but like
I I just like, how.

Speaker 3 (03:48):
Do you even begin to explain?

Speaker 1 (03:51):
And I think I did an okay job, but it
was you know, I'd much rather, you know, come across
somebody who already plays and I'm like, yeah, you know,
I like, that's what I do for living in there.
But the problem is when you go when you find
strangers that are like that.

Speaker 3 (04:04):
They're fix fix my lineup? Can you fix my lineup
for me? Who should I add and who should I drop?
You know, they go in that direction.

Speaker 2 (04:09):
Then you give general advice just you know, help them.

Speaker 1 (04:14):
I was like, are you gonna are you gonna be
a patron or you know, speaking of patron JJ and
your love for QR codes.

Speaker 2 (04:22):
Cool new feature that we have right now. Look at that, bam,
look at that QR code top left. You scan that
right now. If you're watching on YouTube, that's going to
take you right to our patreon where you can become.

Speaker 3 (04:34):
What is this There's a stream yard logo in it too. Yeah. Wow.

Speaker 2 (04:38):
I was just I was putting stuff together and it's
I noticed there's a QR code section, So I.

Speaker 1 (04:45):
Really well branded their kitchen bam, well well branded.

Speaker 2 (04:50):
Yeah, I just wanted to show you the feature because
I know how much you love the QR code. I
just want to give a quick shout to our sponsor,
DraftKings sponsoring this show. If you haven't already, go make
a depositive on DraftKings, get your free ticket and listen.
We got NHL right now. If you got a neighbor

(05:12):
sending me a screenshot that he like won a lot
of money basically on goal scoring parlays, and I'm like,
I didn't really believe him when he said he made
a lot of money last year on NHL, but he did.
He showed me another screenshot, So there you go. And
with that being said, JJ, it is week six, we

(05:33):
got a bye week, we got lots of injuries, so
let's just get right into it. Today's fantasy news, all right,
The first one breaking kind of if you are a
Cincinnati Bengals fan, you had maybe a moment of happiness

(05:57):
with Joe Flacco aka old JJ.

Speaker 3 (06:01):
Yeah into town.

Speaker 2 (06:02):
Yeah, but now we've got a report that Jamar Chase
is sick. How sick do you have to be?

Speaker 3 (06:09):
On a Friday.

Speaker 1 (06:10):
That's that's exactly Sunday. That's exactly what my reaction is.
He's got a couple of days. He's gonna be fine,
you know, like hopefully it's not like like hardcore flu
because sometimes that I can linger for you know, a
few days.

Speaker 3 (06:22):
Like I'm talking.

Speaker 1 (06:23):
When I say linger, I mean like you can't just
like take something before the game to give yourself like
three hours. I mean like you got to be in bed,
you know, like you can't can't do anything else but
but lay in bed.

Speaker 3 (06:34):
When you have that.

Speaker 1 (06:35):
So you know, I'm hoping that he's able to play.
I can't remember the last time there was a sickness,
an illness outside of like the coat, you know, whenever
the pandemic was in full force. Yeah, when players were
missing time due to illness, Like do you do you
like they're they're in the injury report every week.

Speaker 3 (06:51):
Someone's someone's got an illness, because that's what happens. We
all get sick.

Speaker 1 (06:55):
And I can't remember an instance where someone missed time,
like we had the Bjeon Robinson migraine game. But migraines
are a lot different than than like being sick like
a stomach bug.

Speaker 3 (07:08):
Or a you know, a cold of some sport or
the flu.

Speaker 1 (07:13):
You know, migraines are like because I get migraines or
I you know, in my I used to get them
a lot. I had one a few weeks ago, and
I get some neurological symptoms. That's not fun and you
don't know where you are, so you know, it's just create.

Speaker 3 (07:25):
It's it's awful. That's different. That was the Jon Robinson thing.
But I expect Jamar Chase to still play.

Speaker 2 (07:31):
Okay, you already mentioned in kind of the mailbag about
Joe Flacco, but we had a comment by Chum says
Bengals fan here, Bengals fan here, Flacco is not going
to survive with their offensive line.

Speaker 3 (07:47):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (07:48):
I mean I've been talking about that all week on
the show. I'm very very nervous about Flacco at the line.
But I think that my mail bag answer is more
in line with just like how I gen'er really feel
like it's probably a little bit of an upgrade over
Jake Browning. I just don't want to get crazy because
I think that people, you know, equate Joe Flacco to
like Jamis Winston to uh, you know that then equating

(08:08):
to a lot of production for pass catchers and stuff,
and it's just not always the case. And you need
quarterbacks to still be good in real football to have
that stability, you know, in fantasy football.

Speaker 2 (08:19):
Both MJ and Nick mentioning that we had a JSN
sick report a few days a few weeks ago, and uh,
and he crushed it in week three. All right, next
news item recoed, Uh, what could this be about? But
I don't know, man, I don't know. Wow. Rico Daddle
in a revenge game. And we had news this morning

(08:42):
that Juba Hubbard is different is definitely out this week.

Speaker 1 (08:46):
I had this conversation with Adam Hutchison on on perspectives,
which I think, you know, you guys should listen to.
It's a little bit different because he's a doctor of
physical therapy, so we talk more about injury and his
process with injuries. And I think that you should hear
from the Twitter docs perspective on stuff before you pass
judgment on those people, which is really weird to me
how people.

Speaker 3 (09:06):
Act towards the Twitter docs.

Speaker 1 (09:08):
But the conversation got brought up about Cuba and his
CAF and such, and one of the things that I
think is really important here with this Cuba Hubbard injury,
and this goes for you know, Tyrone Tracy is another
example of this, right, Like, this goes for any player
who is clearly not an elite talent but is very

(09:30):
good and we're drafting them on the potential of volume.

Speaker 3 (09:33):
Right.

Speaker 1 (09:33):
Tuba is a more obvious example because he was being
drafted because it's like, yeah, of course he's gonna be
the RB one, and I think Cuba's good, right, But
this speaks to the fragility of the running back position.
And what I'm what I'm getting to is is that
I think when Cuba's back, We're still going to see
a decent amount rico in this backfield. Like, I don't
think that Cuba's going to go back to an a
seventy eighty percent backfield share.

Speaker 3 (09:55):
I think we're in a.

Speaker 1 (09:56):
Sixty forty, maybe even fifty five to forty five kind
of situation. And that's what we run into when we're
drafting and rostering, you know, less legitimate assets. Right. I
brought up Tyrone Tracy because you know, I like Tyrone
Tracy as a player. You know, I think that he's good,
and we didn't really know what we had in cam Skataboo.

(10:17):
But when a guy goes down like that and then
another player comes in and plays well, there's then a
higher likelihood that that player who went down is no
longer able to get their job back. If that happened
with Christian McCaffery, you think he's not gonna get a
job back. You know, do you think that that you know,
some of these higher end running backs aren't gonna step back.
If Derek Henry gets hurt, you don't think he's gonna
come back and see a huge workload on the ground.

(10:37):
I mean, that's just or Bjon Robinson, even with Tyler
Algier there, you know, like this is the this is
how it goes with running backs in particular, and why
it's a it's a more fragile position oftentimes in fantasy
football than what we see at at wide receiver, where
it's just a little bit more talent driven. So I
think Rigo Donald's and RB one this weekend fantastic matchup.
We'll get to it in the second in the main event.

(11:00):
But yeah, I mean, I'm I think that this is uh,
it's it's not good news for Chew but not just
this week, but but longer term too. Yeah.

Speaker 2 (11:08):
Uh, for sure. Someone said if Miles Sanders is back
this week, it's like the double revenge game. Yeah, where
Sanders is playing against his old team and Dallas playing
against his way.

Speaker 1 (11:20):
But but good for good for Carolina for actually getting
rid of a player who doesn't come back to just
destroy the league like they've done with Sam Darnold.

Speaker 3 (11:26):
Uh and Baker Mayfield exactly.

Speaker 2 (11:29):
Donald's been just incredible, all.

Speaker 3 (11:31):
Right, Baker has been incredible. They're both insane right now.

Speaker 2 (11:34):
Yeah. I did think it was interesting. This is in
a side We're about to talk about Baker Mayfield, so
it's a good segue. But you know, Baker talking about
that clip of him talking trash. Oh I think you
you actually posted it.

Speaker 3 (11:50):
Of course.

Speaker 1 (11:50):
I said, like, Baker is so good for the NFL,
and he is, so He's awesome.

Speaker 3 (11:55):
I love Baker Mayfield.

Speaker 2 (11:57):
Yeah. I used to love those commercials that he had
in the stadium. I like, I've always liked Baker too.
This commercials to get a little old, you know, I'm
talking about commercials. Yeah, but he was saying, like in Cleveland,
they would have said he was like immature if he
did that. He's now now it's like he's got that.

Speaker 3 (12:16):
Dog at him. I love.

Speaker 2 (12:18):
Yeah, it is.

Speaker 3 (12:19):
It's one hundred percent true. Yeah.

Speaker 1 (12:21):
Pre annyone who didn't see it. Uh, Baker was was
was yapping with the uh in the tunnel in Seattle
with this fan and at the end of the game
after they won, he was running off the field and
he gave it like he.

Speaker 3 (12:33):
Just what was this.

Speaker 1 (12:34):
What didn't he have like a certain quote or like
told you or something like that, like something along those lines.
But he went back to that fan and he let
him know like like yeah, I did that, you know.
And uh. And to me, like that's awesome. You're getting
the fans involved. Like Baker's just a regular dude, just
a bro who's going out there playing football and he

(12:56):
is playing out of his mind like he's so good
and it's it's awesome to see it really is, even
as someone who is low on bakerball during the season,
like I don't care, you know, like I talked about
that in the Mailbag episode and stuff like whatever I
felt in the preseason from a fantasy perspective, number one
has nothing to do with how I feel about these
players in real life. But then number two, like I'm

(13:16):
I can recognize that Baker's playing really really well, playing
better than I thought he would play, you know, and
and uh, he's been great, and I'm rooting for him.
Not only that, but I have a ton of mechag
Buka and I need Baker.

Speaker 2 (13:28):
To he need Baker for those games. Yeah, they're four
and one.

Speaker 1 (13:33):
They could easily be zero to five. Is the crazy
thing like that, like the way that their games have
gone down.

Speaker 3 (13:38):
I don't maybe not know if I maybe won.

Speaker 1 (13:40):
And four, but like the way their games have gone down,
all of them have been nail biers. It's it's so
fun to watch. He's just a gamer, you know, and
you got to respect that.

Speaker 2 (13:47):
They've got a fun game coming up next week and
it is against the Lions, who are also four and one.
But Golf, a guy that you said was going to
have some touchdow aggression who has in that same category
in Baker Baker.

Speaker 1 (14:07):
Actually, Baker has a lower touchdown right right now, and
he does have I'm pretty sure his fewer Fantasy points
year over year, so like it's not totally wrong right now,
but it's not. I mean, he's still very usable. He's
still ad mid range QB one and still good in fantasy.

Speaker 2 (14:20):
All right, Godwin's bone still hurting him, so, you know,
shin bones take a long time to heal. Apparently he's out.
I put god Win for mister Egg.

Speaker 1 (14:34):
Yeah, big, big news. Can you widen that a little
bit by the way the screen a little bit? Oh yeah,
sure for some reason got shrunk a little bit. But
no Egbuka, I think is in store for a lot
of volume. I I do think since we're talking about this,
I should call it out. You know, I talked on
the on the Sleeper Show this week that Godwin was

(14:55):
kind of an interesting sleeper. Now I'm not gonna be
you know. I had him as like a high high variance,
highly volatile by a couple weeks ago, just because he
saw ten targets.

Speaker 3 (15:04):
He only got three of them.

Speaker 1 (15:05):
And you know, if he continues to see that, and
if he does get healthier, then things will go well.
And obviously he hasn't gotten healthier, and so that didn't
work out if he went out and got Godwin. But
it was more of like a send a bench player
for Godwin and see if you can get something out
of it. I'm concerned about Godwin long term for obvious reasons.
Just because this is it's apparently not the exact same injury,
but it's around the area where it all went down

(15:28):
with his ankle last year.

Speaker 3 (15:30):
And so.

Speaker 1 (15:32):
I talked on the Sleeper Show that Godwin had a
really good slot match up against San Francisco and the
way that I kind of see this going and playing
out this weekend. And this is only for deep leagues,
but I think it's still interesting. You're gonna probably see
Godwin and Sterling Shepherd in two wide receiver sets. Sterling Shepherd,
you know, the Buccaneers are weird with their slot deployment,

(15:54):
Like they have a lot of slot guys and they'll
just throw them on the outside and they don't really care.
Even a Buka was someone who people thought was going
to be more of a slot player in the NFL,
But like Jayleen McMillan and even Sterling Shepard, like Sterling
Shepherd hasn't been a pure slot for Tampa Bay. So
I think Sheppard will be the wide receiver too. And
then you look down and it's it's probably gonna be
Test Johnson as the slot player uh or mostly playing

(16:17):
the slot UH because he's not much of a perimeter guy.
Even though last week we did see him line up
on the outside. But there's a really good slot matchup
for Tampa Bay and tes Johnson. You know, he's really
undersized and he doesn't have a ton of speed, but
he's incredibly shifty and it's a really good offense and
this could be a good offensive environment. I think Tesz
Johnson is a really interesting deep sleeper this week. Someone

(16:42):
who like that. Oh, by the way, that that league.
We have to talk about two things really quick.

Speaker 3 (16:46):
Can we talk about two things?

Speaker 2 (16:48):
Yeah?

Speaker 3 (16:49):
Okay, Oh, We're gonna talk about two things really quick.

Speaker 1 (16:53):
So Test Johnson is a is a sleeper, okay, And
I'm actually starting him in that league that I talked
about last week where I started theo Johnson in.

Speaker 3 (17:01):
Chikakon Quo. Who else?

Speaker 1 (17:04):
I mean, it was just like bad player after bad player,
And I mentioned on the show, oh what's his name from?
From Washington, Chris Moore? You know I was, I was, Yeah,
he scored zero. He almost scored a touchdown though, Guys,
I won. I won that matchup, so so eat it.
I told you I would win that matchup. But the
other thing we have to talk about is that last

(17:25):
week on the show, I brought up that I was
gonna win Scott Fish Bowl right as a joke, like,
I'm not gonna win SFB. There's like thousands and thousands
of teams, but I say that, And then I was
talking about how my projection was crazy and how Nakua
and Christian McCaffrey both had really good Thursday night games. Guys,
I scored the most points in all of Scott Fish

(17:46):
Bowl last week.

Speaker 2 (17:47):
There's like ten thousand teams.

Speaker 1 (17:48):
Yeah, Like I literally had the number one scoring team.
And the crazy thing is I started what he marks
over Jacory Krosky married I could have had like twenty
five more points.

Speaker 2 (17:58):
Yeah, you said, you'd you quote tweeted because they you know,
they tag all the accounts as far as the top
scoring lineups, and you tweeted with all I can think
about is starting what he mark.

Speaker 1 (18:10):
So because I needed people to know that I had,
I had Ja Cory Krosskey Merrit on the bench.

Speaker 2 (18:15):
That it was like a double like dig of people,
like I'm bragging not just in my lineup score a
number of the most points, but also that they could have.

Speaker 3 (18:25):
Scored and guess what, Guess what.

Speaker 1 (18:28):
Right now, I'm sitting with a three hundred and sixty
six point projection because I had Cam scataboo last night.

Speaker 2 (18:32):
Oh gosh, and I thought, you're also gonna possibly bring
up the third thing, and that is I mentioned in
a newsletter last week. I was playing you in our dynasty.

Speaker 3 (18:44):
What a great week, all right, Yeah, let's talk about this.

Speaker 2 (18:48):
I was playing you in our dynasty league, which I
actually have, but you were undefeated. I was undefeated. I
scored the second highest points in the league and still
didn't get within thirty points of JJ's team.

Speaker 3 (19:03):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (19:04):
I had some weird some weird players going off and
then yeah, basketball team.

Speaker 2 (19:08):
It's a best Ball Dynasty super Flex tight end Premium league, so.

Speaker 1 (19:13):
Yeah, it can get you start two tight ends in
that league. Two tight ends yet so it's even more
tight end premium. Yeah exactly, so it is. It was
quite the week for you. Congrats, Thank you.

Speaker 2 (19:25):
Back to the news now, Yeah, let's.

Speaker 1 (19:26):
Go back to the news. I just had to throw
like the guys for real. The Scott Fishbowl. The Scott
Fishball thing was It's insane when you think about it, right,
Like I talked about this on Living the Stream with Denny,
and I was like, it's crazy that It just so
happened to be the same week that I joked about
winning scott fish Bowl is the same week that I
scored the most points in scott fish Bowl.

Speaker 3 (19:46):
It's just crazy.

Speaker 2 (19:48):
Also, before we get onto the next piece of news,
I have people in the chat clock pressing me because
I agree to join this late round the Fantasy basketball league,
which I haven't joined a fantasy basketb all season long
league in like five or six years, maybe longer than that.
You know, I used to play DFS all the time,
but I was like, yeah, I'll do this for you guys.

(20:10):
And now I'm getting everyone. You don't have time for
a show. You got to make your pick. I looked,
I've got eight hours to make a pick.

Speaker 3 (20:15):
Oh come on, people, Yeah, trying.

Speaker 2 (20:18):
To disrupt the flow of the show. Yeah, so they
can get on there. There's nothing worse than a clock presser,
all right.

Speaker 1 (20:25):
Eloso said, two tight ends is what I call the
late round Fantasy football show.

Speaker 3 (20:31):
Nice.

Speaker 2 (20:33):
He must work out, Okay, Ravens never more question Mark
Lamar Jackson. It looks like he's gonna be out again
this week.

Speaker 1 (20:42):
Yeah, I mean I think that we're gonna see a
negative game script for that Baltimore Offense's that's my reaction.
It might not be like horrifically bad for Zay Flowers,
Like I don't think that this is this injury is.

Speaker 3 (20:55):
Like as bad as it could.

Speaker 1 (20:57):
Be hypothetically, But you know, he didn't have that much
touchdown upside, like a crazy amount of touchdown upside, just
given the way they deploy him in the red zone
to begin with this year. I know he started off
the season really hot, but you know, not having Lamar
there obviously lessons that the Derrick Henry stuff is really brutal.
I mean, this is this is Derrick Henry is in

(21:20):
a really bad spot right now.

Speaker 2 (21:22):
It reminded me of two years ago with the Titans
when teams would just they would just cloud the box.

Speaker 1 (21:30):
Yeah, and he had right and I don't remember specifically
what would happen with Like I know that they would
throw in because I guess it was Spears a rookie
that year, and they would they would throw Spears onto
the field, you know, and like have him be like
their negative game script back.

Speaker 3 (21:47):
But Justice Hill is like.

Speaker 1 (21:48):
Even more so of that kind of player, and that
just makes this game script situation for Baltimore even that
much more difficult for Derrick Henry. So you like, if
you're playing Henry this weekend, which you probably have to,
but if you're you know, unless you like lucked into
a you know, you have like skataboo as.

Speaker 3 (22:04):
Like your RB three or something like that.

Speaker 1 (22:06):
But if you're playing Derrek Henry this weekend, you just
got to cross your fingers that the first half is
decent for him. And because there's a very real chance
of the Rams are just leading big in this game.

Speaker 2 (22:18):
Okay, I don't even think that Taj Spears is a
thing three years ago in news with the Titans checking
right now, because I think he was I think he
came up last year with Pollard no, but.

Speaker 3 (22:29):
They would still use him.

Speaker 1 (22:30):
They would still use him whenever negative game scripts would
start to hit in uh.

Speaker 2 (22:35):
And as far as Derrick Henry, yes they yeah.

Speaker 1 (22:38):
I mean like he especially like like even down the stretch,
like during his rookie year, he was getting more and
more looks. But like you can see, like his his
receiving totals were were not bad as a rookie, Like
they used him in that role and that's the Justice
Hill equivalent.

Speaker 3 (22:51):
But but Hill is just more experienced and.

Speaker 1 (22:54):
The team like has him as a as a very
concrete part of this offense.

Speaker 2 (23:00):
Taja Spears was a rookie. My apologies.

Speaker 3 (23:03):
Yeah, there you go.

Speaker 2 (23:05):
Yeah, I've got Justice hill as like I'm having to
start him in the chopped late round league that we're in.

Speaker 3 (23:13):
You told your worst desperation plays.

Speaker 2 (23:15):
Yeah, I had Amarin Hampton on that team too. I've
got Christi McCaffrey, but you told me not to spend
any money, and now I am like on the bubble
getting chopped.

Speaker 3 (23:25):
It's fun.

Speaker 2 (23:26):
Deep, you got chopped last week, so we're you know,
we're good there.

Speaker 1 (23:30):
In guillotine leagues, you have to play probability, and right now, what,
there's still thirteen teams left, Like you're you have a
one in thirteen chance. That means you have a twelve
and thirteen chance of moving on and unless you're your
team is just complete trash, you should take those odds.

Speaker 2 (23:46):
Okay, all right, so let's move on. Who the cards? Boy?
That's you know, that whole instance last week me tagging
the ballers and saying, uh, you know, sorry, your team sucks. Yeah,
was like cathartic for me because that should have been
the Titans.

Speaker 1 (24:06):
I mean they like Cardinals fans have to know that
they're just they're just dust. Yeah, like that team is
just not it.

Speaker 2 (24:13):
Yeah, like almost as the Titans fan, I wanted them
to lose still, Yeah, because I you know, we're on
you know, we're already to the twenty twenty six draft.
They're in Pittsburgh. So but now you've got Jacoby Brissett,
who could be possibly playing for Kyler Murray who's dealing
with the foot issue.

Speaker 3 (24:34):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (24:34):
I mean I don't know, like like from a fantasy perspective, obviously,
Kyler is an upgrade over Brissette, and I think Kyler's
a better player. Like people people give Kyler like such
a hard time. I don't think he's like, you know,
bottom five starter in the league type of player. Is
he top fifteen? I think that's when you start to
get into the discussion a little bit for Kyler. So

(24:55):
this is an obvious downgrade. I just joked in the
in my commentary saying that is set a downgrade. Now,
I will say, I don't know if Brissett would be
that big of a downgrade for Marvin Harrison Junior. If
we're being honest, you know, like Yeah, there's an out
here where he's hyper targeting Marvin Harrison Junior instead of
Trey McBride, Like there's an out here where he feels

(25:16):
more comfortable doing that. Marvin Harrison Junior is a twenty
percent target chair this year, Like he's not doing anything
special and so this this could be okay enough for him.

Speaker 2 (25:26):
Okay, Bowers, Brock Bowers is making me sad someone who
had a lot of them in Best Ball, got him
in my home league, stayed away in other redraft leagues.
But just the fact that like he might not be
one hundred percent maybe even this season.

Speaker 1 (25:41):
Yeah, that's what Adam Hutchinson did not sound very confident
about Bowers, like just bouncing back and just being himself,
and that that definitely scares me.

Speaker 3 (25:52):
You know, I I.

Speaker 1 (25:55):
I actually don't have Bowers in any of my main
season long leagues. It's so I don't you know, from
like a man standpoint, I'm trying to think of like
my own like how I would be handling it. I
mean obviously you're just benching, but and streaming. I think
Michael Mayer is someone that you could conservatively pick up
and just say okay if Bowers is out, I'm gonna
play Michael Mayer kind of go from there. He's a
talented player, doesn't have the best matchup in the world

(26:16):
this week. I don't know how pass heavy Vegas is
going to be either against Tennessee. But yeah, I mean
it's it's a really unfortunate situation because I Bowers.

Speaker 3 (26:26):
Healthy is fine.

Speaker 1 (26:27):
You know, he's he's obviously gonna be uh, you know,
tight end one in fantasy, But I don't know if
we're going to see that rest of the season. I
think that we have to at this point, like assume
that he's going to be out for a handful of
weeks still and just kind of go from there.

Speaker 2 (26:42):
Yeah, he went from day to day to now saying
week to week. They have a bye upcoming. I think
week eight is their bye, so I almost want them
to sit him this week, sit him next week, have
the bye week, and then see how he feels after that. Yeah,
so we'll see, all right. Next we have a thigh

(27:03):
for mann guy. Uh yeah, a little new injury. I
hope you're talking about the pun and not the not
the injury, but we have common young guy popping up
an injury report with a thigh issue.

Speaker 3 (27:21):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (27:21):
I mean, I'm gonna say Rosan season yes headline, but
but I uh I, I do want to caution and
say that they're playing on Monday night, so it's a
it's a day later for them, right, So like like
him missing on Thursday is like him missing on Wednesday,
which is usually nothing. I don't know if you missed
today or not, but even if he did, it's still

(27:42):
not it like Friday is not the same for a
Monday night team than it is for a Sunday team. Uh,
you know, I mean, I I think that if Manungai misses,
they're probably gonna just give Rochan like the Manungai role
and DeAndre Swift more or less just see the same role.

Speaker 3 (27:57):
That that he's played.

Speaker 2 (27:58):
Uh.

Speaker 1 (27:58):
I think they need to give Roseean more work to
see what he's about and see if he can spark
and do something for that offense and for that run game,
because the run game has been pretty atrocious. I just
I mean I said it from the start from a
prospecting standpoint, I was fine with throwing darts Manung guy's
way because he was so cheap. Like It's not like
we were elevating Manung guys like a second round rookie
pick or like a single digit.

Speaker 3 (28:19):
Round best ball pick.

Speaker 1 (28:20):
So I was throwing darts, don't get me wrong, but
his overall profile was not the best. And so you know,
I also am just not like overly overly enthusiastic about
him as a player, think that he could be like
an RB three type if like volume works his way.
But yeah, I mean that's kind of where I'm at
with the with the Bear's backfield.

Speaker 2 (28:39):
Okay, we have the Niners injuries since going on you
mentioned on the podcast dropping today a little bit about it.
Sounds like Juwan Jennings could possibly be back. He will
not have Purty probably as his quarterback.

Speaker 3 (28:56):
Yeah, I mean, I think that's the one.

Speaker 1 (29:00):
Downside of this is that, like what if the Kendrick
Bourne game last week was just as much driven by
Mac Jones as it was like born in the game
plan and stuff and they have you know, a history
and all that kind of stuff Patriots.

Speaker 3 (29:12):
Yeah, yeah, so there is that with Bourne.

Speaker 1 (29:14):
But I look, I just think that Juwan Johnson, actually
I'm gonna get I'm gonna get to this. In the
main event, Juwan Johnson, like he has he has opportunity this.

Speaker 3 (29:23):
Weekend, and I'm excited to see that opportunity.

Speaker 2 (29:26):
Okay, Also, Kittle could be back in as early as
next week, Yeah, which would be great. Saying yeah, so
good news for the tight ends because the tight end
position needs these these guys to come back all right
to line secondary need. They need a little bit of
courage because both of their starting corners I think could

(29:47):
possibly out this week. Tough matchup for them. Let's pair
this with Xavier gonna be Worthy question mark, because I
thought he was done for the game on Monday night,
when you know he.

Speaker 3 (30:01):
Came back like a play later.

Speaker 2 (30:03):
I know it was crazy. As someone who needed him,
I just I just assumed I was done. I was
still done, but you know he at least got one
catch later, but he got Rice com back. What's your
take on this Lion or this Chiefs passing offense?

Speaker 1 (30:22):
First off, if I said, did I say Johnson instead
of Jennings when I was talking about Juwan Jennings, people
in the chatter are confusing me. But if I did,
I'm sorry. I mention sawon Jennings for the last one.
I think that if if we don't see Xavier Worthy
this week, we'll see Taekwon Thornton is someone who I
liked anyway as like a deep sleeper just because the
Lions have given up the highest rate of twenty plus

(30:43):
are Ard Throws talked about that on The Sleeper Show
this week, and obviously Taekwon Thornton would then see even
more work and more routes if Xavier Worthy wasn't there, Hollywood,
Brown becomes someone that you should be interested in two,
you know, because his rout chare would go up.

Speaker 3 (30:58):
His routes chair has not been that great. You know.

Speaker 1 (31:01):
It's really weird though, Like I got multiple people hitting
me up because Sleeper apparently had Worthy listed as doubtful
for this week like on Thursday, which that was not
announced anywhere, but I guess they had all other players
lessen as doubtful who also were not listen. Is doubtful
because doubtful is like I mean, you get right, lay, yeah,
you get like three percent of doubtful, like five percent

(31:23):
of doubtful players actually play, and so, uh, you know,
if he is out, though, I do think Taekwan Thornton's
a pretty interesting play against his beat up Lions defense.

Speaker 2 (31:33):
Okay, we have the waller bump apparently he's gonna be
seeing even more snaps this week? What what I thought
three weeks ago he was done never playing football again?
He gets two touchdowns, he gets one touch The guy
has I think as many touchdowns as Trey mcbrian does
at this point.

Speaker 1 (31:52):
Yeah, I mean since the beginning of last year, right, Like,
he had a sixty seven point five percent rout participation
rate last week, which I don't know if, like is
it My response to this is, is it possible to
get much higher?

Speaker 3 (32:07):
Right?

Speaker 1 (32:08):
Like hypothetically, Yeah, one hundred percent is much greater than
sixty seven and a half percent. But when we're talking
about a veteran player like Waller, you know, tight ends
are usually not in the ninety percent plus range, Like
how much more can he really take on?

Speaker 3 (32:23):
So I look, I'm really high on Waller.

Speaker 1 (32:25):
Like I think he's I've I've been ahead of the
market now and I had him ranked as like tight
end eight rest of season because I'm like, it's tight
end we're going to go for for ceiling, right, and
I think the ceiling is there for him. But yeah,
I mean, I'm I'm I'm not going to read into
much about like the rout participation stuff. I think that
what matters for him is the end zone targets and

(32:46):
how much work he's going to get in the red zone.

Speaker 2 (32:49):
All Right, Scary Terry still scaried as far as this
week looks like he's not going to play again. This
was one of those things where people shied away from
him preseason because the holdout. Yeah, he's actually paid off
because now he's hurt.

Speaker 1 (33:08):
Yeah, I mean, but also I would argue that part
of the holdout stuff is that they're not getting normal
reps conditioned in camp and so there could be injury.
I mean, we've seen this happen in the past. I mean,
there could This could just be like a correlation not
causality thing, but you know, at the same time, it
seemed like it could be something.

Speaker 3 (33:25):
My response to this is, don't sleep on Noah Brown.

Speaker 1 (33:33):
Wow, Okay, okay, guys, because yeah, Noah Brown's been sidelined.
They haven't had a stable number two in that offense,
and he would play that role last year like that's
what he was. They have Deebo now obviously, but Noah
Brown could be back this week. I haven't seen the
official update if he is. He practiced on Thursday, but
he's had this groin injury, and so if Noah Brown plays,

(33:55):
I think he's kind of a sleeper because Jalen Lane
don't think.

Speaker 3 (33:58):
He's there yet.

Speaker 1 (33:58):
If he if he ever gets there, but I don't
think he's at least there yet. Luke McCaffrey had a
really weak rookie season and it has been more of
a part time guy. And Chris Moore is terrible. I
mean he was, he is not it like he's not
the answer. So Noah Brown is pretty interesting. I see
Gonzales saying Noah Brown greater than Chase Brown and AJ Brown.

(34:20):
I mean, don't tempt me to throw that hot take
out there, but no.

Speaker 2 (34:25):
Maybe even better than the Cleveland Browns too.

Speaker 3 (34:27):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (34:27):
Yeah, So just keep an eye on Noah Brown based
on this information. And not only that, but Adam on
perspectives did not seem very optimistic about Terry McLaurin either.

Speaker 2 (34:38):
All Right, stranger things in Jacksonville, Britain. Strange just just
reported by Jordan Schultz going to be out at least
five weeks. Had hip and a quad injury. So we
know there's the ir stent, but for someone who had
been playing really well, it really sucks.

Speaker 1 (34:59):
Yeah, I think what Hunter Long is next on that
depth chart. You know, he's someone who's kind of bounced around.
Was an interesting prospect, but not someone that I think
we need to we need to really worry about from
a fantasy perspective. If anything, this just kind of shifts
volume around and maybe we get a little bit more
to BTJ, maybe a little bit more to Travis Hunter
and Dianmi Brown and so on.

Speaker 2 (35:20):
All right, Next, we have the charge running backup running
backs in LA with Hampton's injury. This was the main
Wayver Wire topic this week, but what are your thoughts
on the running back situation in LA.

Speaker 3 (35:35):
I think we're gonna see a totally split backfield.

Speaker 1 (35:37):
I think Asan Haskins gets to start and has the
first shot, and so if he plays well, he plays well,
that's great.

Speaker 3 (35:44):
But Kamanie by Dell I think has a little bit
more upside, just given you know, he's a second year player.

Speaker 1 (35:49):
I didn't mind him as a prospect, but yeah, I mean,
I'm not expecting a whole lot from this Chargers backfield,
aside from the fact they get Miami and it's a
good matchup.

Speaker 3 (35:58):
So I think in total they might be able to produce,
but long.

Speaker 1 (36:02):
Term, I'm just kind of crossing my fingers that this
is just a four week thing for Marion Hanton.

Speaker 2 (36:07):
Today's data, All right, let's get today's edit where you
have another chart for us.

Speaker 3 (36:16):
I have another fun little chart.

Speaker 1 (36:17):
Yeah. I mean, I talked about Tedoro McMillan on the
fifteen Transaction Show as a bye this week because they
get Dallas and he's a touchdown regression candidate. And I
had some questions from people asking about, like, who are
some other touchdown regression candidates based on their yards? And
this is like anyone can do this at home, Like
you can. You can just go to Pro Football Reference

(36:39):
or stat head or something and just get data for
all players and then calculate what are how many yards
per touchdown these positions get, so like for running back,
you have to do it at both rushing and receiving obviously,
then and tally that and total them together, and then
you could see, okay, based on the their yardage totals

(36:59):
because it does light the touchdowns, but based on their
yardage totals, this is how many touchdowns that this player
should have and this is how many touchdowns he does have.
And I did that for this chart for all wide outs,
tight ends, and running backs and everyone in the green
so Almen Ross Saint Brown is based on his yardage
is exceeding his touchdown different expectation by three point four

(37:20):
so far this year, Roma Dunze by three point one,
Dallas Goddard by three, and so on and so forth.

Speaker 3 (37:25):
That it includes last night's game, I believe. And then
you know, you.

Speaker 1 (37:31):
Get down to like a mecha Buka is exceeding by
two point one, Javonte Williams two point one, Darren Waller
two point one. And then on the flip side, I
have a like one more person on the flip side,
and that I added to this chart just to add
Christian McCaffrey because I thought that was kind of interesting
that he's one point six yards below expectation at this
point because he doesn't have any rushing touchdowns.

Speaker 3 (37:51):
And you can look at the list.

Speaker 1 (37:52):
You know, Jacobe Meyers Pukinakua, just because he has so
many yards, he should have more touchdowns.

Speaker 3 (37:58):
Bresee Hall though, is the number one regression can it
by far?

Speaker 1 (38:01):
When looking at this with three point six he should
have based on his yardage totals three point six more
touchdowns than he actually has right now, because the amount
of touchdowns he actually has right now is zero. So
based on his yards, he should have almost four more
touchdowns than he has.

Speaker 2 (38:19):
Got on a big beijon comeback as well, Digs on
this chart, yeah, back to form last week as well.

Speaker 1 (38:28):
You know what's interesting is that Diggs and Ted McMillan
have very similar yardage totals, which is why their numbers
are identical because neither of them scored yet.

Speaker 3 (38:37):
And so yeah, I mean, like both of them have
a shot. I just rounded up.

Speaker 1 (38:41):
So like technically, Digs is even more of a yards
to touchdowns regression candidate. But yeah, I mean I'm very
excited about Stephan Diggs because I thought he looked the part.
He looked really good this past week. Really the last
two weeks he's looked good. His targets perout run has
been out of control. You just got to hope that
he's kind of back. And I think if he is back, like,
if he plays like he did last week, he's a

(39:02):
wide receiver two in fantasy rest of season.

Speaker 3 (39:05):
If he's able to maintain that, it's the late round,
main event.

Speaker 2 (39:12):
All right, Let's get people that you like more than
consensus this week. Starting quarterback, You've got the cover boy,
Dak Prescott.

Speaker 3 (39:19):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (39:20):
I mean really, if you look across all positions, I
don't have that much variation this week, which is kind
of annoying. I like whenever I'm way different than what
other rankers are doing. But consensus says Dak at QB eight.
I have him at QB six, so it's not that
much different. He's been top six and three of his
last four. He's playing out of his mind. They have
a twenty six and a half point applied team total.
It's an average opponent against Carolina by justin fantasy points allowed.

Speaker 3 (39:44):
But Dak, to me is just playing too well, which
is why I have him ranked. Where have him ranked?

Speaker 2 (39:49):
Okay, for running back, we already talked about it at
Rico Daubtle.

Speaker 1 (39:54):
This might change by rankers with the official news that
Chuba's going to be out, so you know, to be like,
this could be different, but look, Rico is in just
the absolute best spot imaginable. They're at home, he's got
a revenge game, and for the record, I don't really care.

Speaker 3 (40:12):
About revenge games. It's just fun to talk about. You know,
there might be a little bit motivation. Who knows.

Speaker 1 (40:17):
Yeah with Stefon Diggs certainly played out of his mind
last week.

Speaker 2 (40:21):
Yeah, Sion Barkley last night though, Yeah exactly.

Speaker 1 (40:24):
I mean we have we have a confirmation bias a
lot with revenge game type stuff. But last week ric
o'donald eighty five percent running back rush air, fifteen percent
target share.

Speaker 3 (40:35):
He was a bell cow. Dallas terrible defense.

Speaker 1 (40:38):
They've been the second best matchup for running backs by
justin points allowed. They're allowing allowing over fourteen running back
rush yards to opposing teams per game over expected.

Speaker 3 (40:48):
I just think Rico is gonna be a bell cow
and very rarely are.

Speaker 1 (40:51):
You gonna get a reasonable twenty three point apply team
total for a team like Carolina.

Speaker 2 (40:57):
All Right, So moving to receiver, same team tech mac
millan or to Teta rohat make Millen. Yeah.

Speaker 1 (41:03):
I mean, look, I've been high on him this week.
I have met as a top ten wide out consensus.
Does not you know I talked about him on fifteen Transactions.
This could be the week because Dallas has been horrible,
horrible against wide receivers. I talked about this on the
ten Trends episode. But Dallas against wide receivers is the
worst matchup or best, depending on which frame you know,

(41:26):
which perspective you're coming from. But Dallas against wide receivers,
they've been horrible more than any other position across all
teams in Fantasy football, and Ted against him this week,
he's a regression candidate. Like I said, he should have
two to three touchdowns. We talked about that just just
a second ago, but also like if you look at
PFF's expected touchdowns formula, he should have like two and

(41:48):
a half.

Speaker 3 (41:48):
He has zero.

Speaker 1 (41:50):
Dallas this season, Kitchen is allowing eighty six and a
half passing yards above expected, which is just like mind blowing.

Speaker 3 (41:58):
So what that number is doing, Just to.

Speaker 1 (42:00):
Reiterate what I've talked about before, it's looking at who
Dallas has played, looking at their average passing yards per game,
and then looking at how many passing yards per game
Dallas has given up, right, And the difference there is
that when when they face Dallas, they are on average
throwing for eighty six and a half more yards than
their season long average. And so we could see more

(42:23):
from Bryce Young this week hopefully, and that will in
turn help Tetoroh McMillan.

Speaker 2 (42:30):
I am so glad that this is not Week eight,
because Week eight I think is national tight end week.
Oh it is not tight end week, and you don't
have anybody for tight end tight end. No, I mean
we've got some rough spots this week.

Speaker 3 (42:47):
I'm I'm chock city at tight end this week unfortunately.

Speaker 2 (42:50):
All right, so let's move on to some bold predictions
last week. One for one or one and one for
yeah prediction.

Speaker 3 (42:58):
Yeah, I'll take it.

Speaker 1 (42:58):
I'll take look if I because last week when I
had Rico as a top eight running back last week, yes, yeah,
should have been bolder than that. You know what, I
got to shout out James Coe as well Perspective's guests
last week. He came because I always asked Perspective's guests
at the end of the episode to give one bold
take for that upcoming week. His take was that Stefan
Diggs was going to be the wide receiver one in
fantasy and he was like the wide receiver four. If

(43:20):
only he would have just said top five, he would
have been would have been in the green. But props
to Coe for calling that out and being on top
of that that prediction. The first one for me is
Juwan Jennings completely flipping perception.

Speaker 3 (43:34):
I just I know that I've talked about this like.

Speaker 1 (43:36):
Three times now on the show this week, so people
are probably and so I could be wrong, Like, of
course I can be wrong. And if I'm wrong, apologies
in advance. You know, YadA, YadA, YadA. Sure, but I'm
speaking from the heart.

Speaker 3 (43:48):
You know, I'm speaking truthfully about how I feel about this.

Speaker 2 (43:52):
You never speak from the heart, ye never.

Speaker 3 (43:55):
I'm a not Yeah, usually I'm just kinda kind of.

Speaker 1 (44:01):
But with Jennings this week, Jennings in general, I've seen
people talk about their league mates dropping Juwan Jennings. No
one wants anything to do with Jawan Jennings. And I
don't understand why he's been injured. He's been hurt, right,
Like we have the reason as to why he's not producing.

Speaker 3 (44:19):
He has been hurt. And the one game, the one
game this.

Speaker 1 (44:23):
Year where he had more than an eighty percent route chare,
which a healthy Juwan Jennings is gonna be over that
mark pretty much every week. Okay, the one game where
he was he scored nineteen point nine PPR points in
that game. Now you get Ricky piersall out, you have
George Kittle out, you only have Kendrick Born and DeMarcus
Robinson competing for touches at wide receiver and Jake Tung

(44:44):
just at tight end. Jawan Jennings is the best pass
catcher on that team this week by a decent margin.
I would not be surprised in a PLUS matchup if
Juwan Jennings comes through with a good game and people
are like, oh yeah, back in July, we were afting
him in the seventh round consistently and the sixth round consistently.
Oh yeah, I forgot about that, you know, Like, I

(45:06):
just it's bizarre to me that this is going on
with Juwan Jennings, ad him if he's out there. If
I'm wrong, I'll be wrong, Okay, But I think this
is a very correct process.

Speaker 3 (45:17):
Look at this situation.

Speaker 2 (45:19):
I'm always proud, Uh whenever people spell Juwan Jennings the
right way? So wrong, No you did, Okay, it's a
U A N. And I always always want to do
the opposite. Uh. But yeah, we had we had some
predictions before the season even started about you know, Jennings
and Pearsaw being the one and two, but Jennings being

(45:41):
the one. You know, and I like, I.

Speaker 1 (45:43):
Liked at the beginning of the off season, I liked
Jennings more than Pearsaw, and then it switched a little
bit because of the injury and the whole and all
that kind of stuff in Piersall, like just thinking about
a situation more. I had both of them as targets
in the draft, like I liked both Ricky Piersoll and
Juwan Jennings this year because I still think that there's
a chance that they see pretty high target shairs in
that offense, and it's a good offense that we want

(46:04):
to invest in, you know.

Speaker 3 (46:06):
And it's just, like I said, it's just been weird that.

Speaker 1 (46:09):
We're coming off a game where Kendrick Bourne caught ten
balls or hard ballsey cut and had one hundred and
forty two yards and we're like, nah, against Tampa Bay,
why would we want the starting wide receivers who's back? Like,
why the guy that we were drafted in around six
three months ago?

Speaker 2 (46:27):
You know, the only thing that is derailing this is
the potential shower narrative of the you know the Patriots, Yes,
Patriots history with Jones and Born all right, moving on,
you got Justin filds S and the b for your
bold prediction number two.

Speaker 3 (46:42):
I think Justin Fields is going to s the b
this week.

Speaker 1 (46:44):
Yeah, and that means that he's not going to have
a good performance. So if you look at Denver against
quarterbacks this year, I have a table here. They played
cam Wore, Daniel Jones, Justin Herbert, Jake Browning, and Jalen Hurts.
All of those quarterbacks with six or fewer rushing yards.

Speaker 3 (47:02):
Which is kind of.

Speaker 1 (47:02):
Crazy because when you look at their points per game
against Denver via the ground, only all of them, including
Jalen Hurts, scored points six points or fewer, other than
Daniel Jones.

Speaker 3 (47:14):
Because Daniel Jones got a.

Speaker 1 (47:16):
Goal line touchdown against them, so he scored six point six.
He had six rushing yards outside of that game against Denver. Okay,
so cam Ward is averaging point nine points per game
with his legs, so nine yards per game because he
hasn't scored a touchdown on the ground. Daniel Jones four
point four and he did score six point six, but
that's just because of the touchdown. You get Justin Herbert
six point six points against the Broncos via the ground,

(47:38):
three point seven in all other games. Jake Browning point
four against the Broncos one point seven in all other games.
Jalen hurts point three and then ten and a half
in all other games. So I think this Denver defense
is gonna be able to stop justin Fields and what
he does in the ground, which is going to force
him to sit in.

Speaker 3 (47:55):
The pocket, which could be a very very bad thing.

Speaker 1 (47:58):
So I think if I think if Fields works this week,
it's probably gonna be because he breaks off.

Speaker 3 (48:05):
Like one big like.

Speaker 1 (48:06):
I don't think it's gonna be a consistent like twelve
yard chunk at a time like we've seen the last
couple of weeks from Fields, although Fields against Miami had
that long one, but I like, I think you need
that from Fields for him to really pay off this week.

Speaker 2 (48:20):
Some garbage time Fields. All right, let's look ahead to
the waiver wires again. I think he's one of the
most valuable parts of this show. You have Luthor Burden.
I noticed Luthor Burden was picked up in our late
round Guillotine League last night. This is before the Q

(48:43):
and A, So I think that I think that Burden
is is definitely a guy that we're hoping comes back
strong after the buye.

Speaker 1 (48:52):
Yeah, I mean out of the bye you gotta like
think that a team that's not been the cleanest to
start the year maybe shifts things in and changes things up.
You know, they like Kalamide's a kiist, but what if
they use Luther Burdon a little bit more. And it's
the exact same logic with Colson Loveland, who's healthy, seemingly
that he's going to go this week, and so what
if they use Colson Loveland more than they did pre buy.

(49:14):
So that's why I like Burden and Loveland and then
Roshan is in there because Kyle Mnungu is banged up,
So just keep an eye on that situation. Sterling Shepard
and Tes Johnson talked about them a little bit with
the Chris Godwin injury. I think Shepherd's going to run
more routes, but Tes has the matchups. So don't be
surprised if we see you know, even like there's a
possibility we just see more production.

Speaker 3 (49:34):
From Tes Johnson versus Sterling Shepard this week.

Speaker 1 (49:37):
Blake Koram is on here because people like to be
reactive to whatever I mean right now, Cam Skataboo is
like an RB three to people in fantasy football overall, Right,
Like people are reactive of what goes on the most
recent you know, the most recent games from these guys,
And there's a chance I Blake Korum and Justice Hill
listed here that gamescript goes the way we talked about

(49:58):
and Blake Korm gets a lot more work than he
usually does, and people are like, oh, yeah, that's right.
Like Blake Koram was involved in this offense before he
fumbled a toss and then dropped the ball, you know,
in that game against the forty nine ers last week. So, uh,
Blake Korum kind of interesting as a deep play Justice Hill.

Speaker 2 (50:16):
He should put Blake Korum next to Amari Demcardo.

Speaker 1 (50:20):
Yeah, so I do have Amrio Demarcado here, which I
think people would be surprised at. But the reason I
have him listed there is that we didn't see a
real negative game script for Arizona even though they lost,
Like it wasn't a negative game script for them against Tennessee,
and we could this week because they get Indianapolis, and
I do think a Mario Demarcado is their two minute
back still and he will play that role. And there's

(50:41):
also this like narrative in the back of my head,
you know, of like we're going to be a team
or we're.

Speaker 2 (50:46):
Gonna get rich just like giving back to him after
punching him last week.

Speaker 1 (50:52):
Are we going to be shocked if like there's gonna
be a postgame interview where they talked to de Marcado
and he like did something great or like had like
a game winning touchdown or something, and they like, you know,
they're interviewing him and he's like, yeah, you know, this
is this is the beauty of sports, and you know,
you get It's.

Speaker 2 (51:07):
What I needed, you know, right right?

Speaker 3 (51:09):
Like do I think that that's the likely outcome? No,
but I do think.

Speaker 1 (51:12):
From a lot from a football logic perspective, de Mercado
is the third down back, the two minute back, and
they have a tougher matchup this weekend Indianapolis, So different
game script means De Marcado could be more involved. Ryan Flanoy.
Some people say floor Noy, but I listened to our
NOI I listened to pronunciations for about twenty minutes the
other day, and it's Flinoy.

Speaker 3 (51:34):
I remember prospecting him.

Speaker 1 (51:36):
By the way, and uh and I but I never
had to say his name on a podcast, so I
never you know, and all the announcers say it differently.

Speaker 3 (51:44):
So finally I.

Speaker 1 (51:45):
Just dug deep listen to him say it, and it
was Flinoy. So we're going Ryan Flinoy. What if he
gets the same amount of work that he did last week, YadA, YadA.

Speaker 3 (51:55):
Jalen Cocher could be back this week.

Speaker 2 (51:57):
I almost put him in the news for that. But yeah,
I mean we're high on the Panthers this week, aren't we.

Speaker 3 (52:04):
I mean you have to be. Dallas is just like they're.

Speaker 2 (52:06):
Playing against a totally terrible passing deepense.

Speaker 3 (52:11):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (52:11):
I like, look, they if they s the be themselves,
Like I think, process wise, it makes sense because Dallas's
defense has been horrible. Jalen Coker if he if he
does well or if he gets work rather, he could
do well because the matchup's there. Emmanuel Wilson backup for
Josh Jacobs. He's been sort of the primary backup for them,
and they get a team against Cincinnati, and I think
maybe people would realize like, oh, this is the handcuff

(52:34):
to have, Like there's that possibility and they might want
to to add him. Noah Brown we talked about he
could be back this week and he would be the
number two and then two streaming defenses. We get the
Jets against the Panthers next week. It's rough next week,
streaming defense. It's why these these picks aren't like the best.
But the Patriots, if they're still out there, people are
gonna be using him this week because they have a
decent matchup. But they get the Titans next week. No

(52:57):
offense to Kitchen, but they're a great team to stream against.
And then the Jets get the Panthers next week.

Speaker 3 (53:02):
So h and they're at home, so they could be
a decent a decent matchup too.

Speaker 1 (53:07):
I hope they're at home. I just realized I said that,
And I hope it's not like an overseas game or
something like that. I screwed it up again.

Speaker 2 (53:15):
The Panthers and the Jets are the Patriots and Titans.

Speaker 3 (53:18):
The Panthers and the Jets.

Speaker 2 (53:19):
Patriot Titans definitely aren't.

Speaker 3 (53:21):
I could see, Okay, the Jets are. It's a one
o'clock game. It's in New York. I'm gonna be I'm like,
I'm like, uh.

Speaker 5 (53:29):
PTSD from the I'm scarred, I'm scarred experience. Yeah, right,
we do have one London game. We'll talk about that
in a second.

Speaker 2 (53:42):
Okay, the the London game is the Broncos and Jets
this week, so that is that's the game in London,
So Jets not at home, they're in London. One of
the games available to talk or to put in the
quad box. Obviously we talked about the Cowboys and Panthers.

Speaker 3 (54:04):
You go first. You're going first this week for the
Quadbox picks.

Speaker 2 (54:07):
Okay, all right, well let's go. Let's go Cowboys and Panthers.

Speaker 3 (54:13):
You're knowing Cowboys Panthers. You're just going with the highest total.

Speaker 2 (54:15):
Yeah, well, not just that, it's what we've already talked about.

Speaker 3 (54:19):
I think there's a lot of fantasy implications in this,
a lot of.

Speaker 2 (54:21):
Fantasy implication, even like the whole Da Dak being the
cover boy. But even when you think about the Cowboys,
the the the Eagles losing last night to the Giants,
and if you look at the Eagles schedule, it's brutal. Yeah,
the Cowboys can could do something. The Cowboys could do something.

(54:43):
They need, they need. A pass rusher is what they need,
if only they had one. But yeah, I think that
that this game is going to be fun. We've mentioned it.
Probably that the game we have mentioned the most, so
why not have it on here. So let's go Boys
and Panthers.

Speaker 1 (55:00):
I'm gonna go forty nine Ers and Buccaneers as my
my first pick for the for the the quad box
here because I think it's another good game in general,
with a lot of fantasy implications, a lot of fantasy players,
and we get to see our boy Meca Buca and
some some interesting sleepers this week, you know, Tess Johnson.
We get to see if Juwan Jennings or Kendrick Bourne

(55:22):
get to thrive and get a lot of volumes. So
I'm excited to see what goes down in that game.

Speaker 2 (55:27):
Okay, I just realized we don't have the primetime games
on this, so we've got Detroit, Kansas City, Buffalo, Atlanta, Chicago,
and Washington.

Speaker 1 (55:41):
Okay, I still I probably would have not gone with
that one, but I because I didn't think of about
the Chiefs Lions.

Speaker 3 (55:48):
But okay, but that's.

Speaker 2 (55:49):
Okay, Okay, I'll let you go Chiefs Lions.

Speaker 3 (55:52):
Okay, we'll go. We'll go Chiefs Lions with forty nine
Ers Bucks. Yeah, okay, so we'll go.

Speaker 1 (55:57):
Lions Lions v. Chiefs with that one, and then you
get the last.

Speaker 2 (56:02):
Pick two Monday night games in Buffalo Atlanta. Yeah, whatever
should be fun. But give me this Chicago at Washington.

Speaker 3 (56:10):
Oh, a rematch of the Hail Mary from.

Speaker 2 (56:12):
Last yes and coming out of the by I just
I want Caleb Williams to go nuts. I want Bill
Crosskey Merrit to get two hundred yards from scrimmage. Like,
give me just a lot of fantasy points and a
lot of craziness in the last game of the week.

Speaker 1 (56:30):
Do we have any updates from redacted on his July
take or June take of If Cory Krossky merit is
relevant in fantasy football, I will steal the Declaration of Independence,
is what he said.

Speaker 2 (56:43):
Yeah, I don't know. I feel like he should do
something because like we don't want him to commit a crime.

Speaker 3 (56:50):
I think he's planning. He said he's planning something.

Speaker 1 (56:53):
There should be some sort of the FBI is gonna
scrub the discord in like four months whenever the Declaration
of Independence is missing?

Speaker 3 (57:01):
Yeah what if? Like what if it?

Speaker 2 (57:04):
What if it did go missing? And terrible timing? All right,
So with Chicago, I know this formatting gets you, but I.

Speaker 3 (57:22):
Just did it. I just did random formatting just because
I'm leaning into the bit.

Speaker 2 (57:25):
Now there's versus Commanders.

Speaker 3 (57:31):
All right, there you go.

Speaker 2 (57:33):
Those are our four games. Should be fun, should be
another fun week. I don't know how last week could
have topped or how this week could have topped last
week for you or can't talk last week for you,
but I hope it does in some way.

Speaker 3 (57:46):
JJ, thank you. Yeah.

Speaker 1 (57:47):
I mean last week was more of just like a
hilarious things coming together kind of week with with that
one matchup that I talked about where I started absolute
junk and got the W thanks to Javonte Williams, and
then where I'll never forget if I end up like
going back to back in that league during that draft
where I punted RB two and then I sent you

(58:10):
a text and I said, low key, low key Javonte.

Speaker 3 (58:14):
Williams really fits this build. Yeah, yeah, that'd be great.
It'd be great w.

Speaker 2 (58:19):
For me, especially after the ribbing that you took.

Speaker 3 (58:21):
I took a lot of crap for drafting Javonte Williams.

Speaker 2 (58:24):
Yes, And people don't understand it's not just taking. It's
like when you are in a room full of just opinions.

Speaker 1 (58:32):
Basically the biggest fantasy football analysts on the planet.

Speaker 2 (58:36):
Right and everyone has their own opinions, and when those
opinions are like shooting arrows at you.

Speaker 3 (58:42):
Yeah you want to be right. Yeah, so scared me
a little bit.

Speaker 1 (58:45):
I didn't get enough of Javonte after that just because
they scared me.

Speaker 2 (58:49):
Yeah, all right, Well that will do it for the show.
Jo Ja, any final thoughts you have?

Speaker 3 (58:55):
I have no final thoughts.

Speaker 1 (58:57):
I hope that everyone has a great weekend and that
you crush your fantasy football leagues.

Speaker 3 (59:00):
Ande Mecagmuka continues the streak of being amazing at football.

Speaker 2 (59:05):
I thought you would want to say something about collusions
and trades.

Speaker 3 (59:09):
You can listen to Mailbag to hear me yell about that.

Speaker 2 (59:12):
There you go, Yeah, listen to a heartfelt JJ Meilbag.
Listen to the Perspectives episode if you missed it. Obviously,
