Speaker 1 (00:00):
You're about to listen to the Late Round Fantasy Football show,
which originally aired yesterday on YouTube. If you'd like to
catch it live, you can find it on the Late
Round Fantasy Football YouTube channel at one pm Eastern every
Friday during this twenty twenty five season. That's on YouTube
dot com slash at Late Round FF. So, without further ado,
(00:20):
here's this week's.
Speaker 2 (00:21):
Episode, Welcome In.
Speaker 3 (00:37):
Welcome In David Kitchen alongside JJ Zacharison.
Speaker 1 (00:41):
You know, it's a good thing that I cut out
your intro part whenever I in the podcast feed, like
fix the problem you said, you said, fix the problem
just some folks who are only audio listening.
Speaker 4 (00:55):
This week, Kitchen said, we were gonna f THEP is.
Speaker 3 (00:59):
No what he said after you after I said, some
teams are out there s and the B is what
you said, Earl.
Speaker 4 (01:07):
Yeah, just a very normal, normal thing that wouldn't have
any other meaning.
Speaker 3 (01:15):
Honestly, I'm not I'm not joking. That was on the fly,
and I didn't realized till you started the intro music
that oh, that's gonna be good, that's gonna be Yeah,
it's gonna be I was riding down the road though
listening to the Late Round podcast when you're talking about
c J. Stroud, Uh, this is a Sleepers episode.
Speaker 4 (01:34):
I think, yeah, it was the interest.
Speaker 3 (01:36):
This is also gonna be in the in the newsletter.
It's gonna be actually the headline of the newsletter. So
when you said c J. Stroud was S and the B.
Speaker 4 (01:45):
Yeah, he asked to be this past he asked to be.
Speaker 3 (01:48):
At first I was like what, and then it like, oh, yeah.
Speaker 1 (01:52):
Yeah, I do that on Living the Stream a lot
where which, by the way, people who are watching this
on YouTube right now, yeah, uh are folks who listen
to the podcast and whatnot. It's jarring sometimes for people
when they go and they watch Slash listen to Living
the Stream because it is a hour long show every week,
(02:13):
and forty five minutes of that is not football, right,
it's it's it's just Denny and I talking about random stuff.
And so now that we're on the YouTube channel, we've
been doing that for the last couple of years, but
now that we've beefed up the YouTube channel and we're
working hard on getting people to subscribe, which, by the way,
subscribe to the YouTube channel. Yeah, there's more random people
that don't I don't want to say random people, but
(02:34):
you know, people who haven't been part of the living
the stream.
Speaker 4 (02:37):
Audience in the past. Who yeah, right, just wait.
Speaker 1 (02:41):
In this past week we were talking about some really
crazy bathroom stuff and whatnot. So you know, that's that's
what you get with that show. And then with the
Late Round podcast, the typical feed all fantasy football, and
then this one's a little bit of a mix of both.
This is still mostly this is still like ninety five
percent fantasy football.
Speaker 4 (02:58):
This show.
Speaker 3 (02:58):
Yeah, this is like, you know, loosen up your buttons,
talk about the Friday. It's a Friday show. It's an
interactive show. So if you're watching live with us, you know,
just in some comments. We got some already like air
and uh Pernapple do you ever use did you ever
see the pineapple pin pin? Pineapple apple pin?
Speaker 4 (03:21):
Did you ever see that video?
Speaker 1 (03:22):
This is the second. Is this another internet thing? Like
last week you had uh whatever the reference was.
Speaker 3 (03:27):
I don't remember your bomb? Ya your bomb? Yeah? Maybe
maybe I'm the guy is online. But all these all
these just fine folks saying that they are just loving
this show. So appreciate you all. Also appreciate DraftKings for
sponsoring today's show. You know, you can head to DraftKings.
You can hit click that QR code if you're watching online,
(03:49):
if you're listening into the podcast description or YouTube description,
you'll see that for a free five dollars ticket when
you deposit, and uh listen if you haven't played already,
or if you're just wanting to put something down, they've
got some free roles there. Just do it out of
thank you for them hosting all this bestball contest, because
(04:09):
when my team is losing on a Sunday or on Monday,
you know what I do, JJ, what's up? I look
at my best Ball contest.
Speaker 4 (04:17):
Yeah, it does make you feel a little bit better.
Speaker 1 (04:18):
Huh.
Speaker 3 (04:19):
It makes you feel a little bit better. You sort
by points and you look at those Oh wow, I
was really smart.
Speaker 1 (04:25):
Yeah, yeah, you know, I'm pretty I'm going through this
phase right now where there's certain players I called out
in the Draft Guide that I didn't call out who
I drafted a lot and vice versa, And I'm sort
of sorting through all of that, and so I'm hoping
that people who consume The Draft Guy just like, listen
to as much of my content this summer as possible, because, like.
Speaker 4 (04:45):
You know, a guy like Roma Douonza.
Speaker 1 (04:46):
I didn't call him out as a player to target
in the draft guide, but he's my highest rostered best
ball player this season and so I'm very excited about him.
We won't talk about Jalen Wright and the Jalen Right
exposure because all that sort of sort of.
Speaker 4 (05:00):
Happened and flipped around, you know, early August.
Speaker 3 (05:03):
Whenever you can tell my team or click on him
because they've got right Roshawn Johnson and like either Jaden
Blue or Marshaun Lloyd because those are the guys that
were hot back then.
Speaker 1 (05:19):
Yeah, don't moost hope with Jaden Blue just yet. As
I talked about on the Mailbag show, I know it's
not jover.
Speaker 3 (05:25):
Yet for him. It's not it's not Joe ry And
and we say every week that is maybe not jover
for Roshan, but yeah, right ready to call it.
Speaker 1 (05:35):
Yeah, marsha On Lloyd it was over because he he
clearly has bad ham strings and Jalen Wright couldn't stay
healthy and Oli Gordon's good.
Speaker 4 (05:43):
So you know, that's that's the why it goes sometimes
to those late round picks. You know, it happens.
Speaker 3 (05:48):
It happens, But you know, we've got to sort through that.
Like you said, you're sorting through things. We're sorting through things.
One of the things that we're actually sorting through, JJ
is today's news, today's fantasy news.
Speaker 1 (06:04):
I gotta say something, what there's some there's some funny
guys in the chat.
Speaker 3 (06:09):
What are they saying?
Speaker 1 (06:10):
He's saying, JJ, I hate Romadounzay, Zachary Spider saying, oh,
I get the newsletter. I know how JJ really feels
about Rome. You know what's so funny? And we can
close I mean, hopefully we can finally close the Rome
versus Aguca thing. They're both really freaking good, and that's
a great outcome for anyone who you know, was consuming
(06:33):
my content and you know, like like going forward with
the stuff that I was talking about, because I had
talked about Romaduonzay being a high like he had a
high ceiling, like the prospect guy, talked about how he
could be a DeAndre Hopkins type. Uh, and then at Buka,
I just really liked as a prospect, which is why
I made that dynasty move back in may as like.
Speaker 4 (06:51):
A re roll man. No, it's just so fun. That's
always gonna stick.
Speaker 1 (06:55):
I think and it's a fun meme at this point,
but it's also hilarious at the same time.
Speaker 3 (06:59):
Yeah, you know, people definitely know how to mess with you.
But I feel like you're messing with people back, Yeah,
mess with people? Back this right here? What fun? Right here?
What's awesome? You said talking about the Chase Brown panic.
You link the podcast and then someone goes, Chase Brown
(07:21):
is killing me bum. I think he was saying, like,
Chase Brown is killing me bum. Yeah.
Speaker 1 (07:26):
It should have been like a semi colon or like,
you know, like an M dash or something like that.
Speaker 4 (07:30):
Yeah, but he used instead.
Speaker 3 (07:32):
He said, are you calling me a bum?
Speaker 4 (07:33):
Yeah?
Speaker 1 (07:34):
So you guys will know if I'm not being serious,
if I'm not using any punctuation. That's the way that
you know if I'm just messing around with people, is
if I just respond in a way where there's no
punctuation whatsoever, if it's all lowercase or if it's whatever.
Then you know when you know I'm being serious. It's
when there's a legit question mark.
Speaker 4 (07:53):
At the end of that that statement.
Speaker 3 (07:56):
Okay, all right, let's get on to today's news. We've
got some breaking news in the past hour. Command Oh, dear. Yeah,
we've got just this Washington situation with Jayden Daniels and
Terry McLaurin being out.
Speaker 1 (08:16):
Yeah, I talked about this. I think that this is
the kind of show where I can give a little
bit more clarity on Like the Sleepers episode where I
talked about Jalen Lane. I think that if you're doing
like projections, you're gonna project like Luke McCaffrey, Chris Moore,
those kinds of wide receivers that are gonna start for
(08:37):
or get a lot of snaps for Washington, more than
likely you're probably gonna like project them to be better
than like a Jalen Lane type. The reason I just
am intrigued by Jalen Lane is that Number one, when
I'm in these situations in fantasy football, this is a
game theory thing where you know, it's a it's it's
Chris Moore, it's Luke McCaffrey. Like Luke McCaffrey had a
really really bad rookie season, more than likely, you know,
(09:00):
not going to become something of significance. I know we
said that about like Quentin Johnston, but this is different.
He wasn't the kind of prospect this QJ. And was
worse as a rookie. I'm more intrigued where if I'm
losing a little bit in the projection to add a
player like Jalen Lane, who's a rookie and who's intriguing
from that perspective, I'd rather just do that and play
(09:22):
that player, even though there's a loss in projection, because
the projection is going to be pretty wrong anyway, because
we're talking about like lower tiered players, right, So I
would rather just add a guy like Lane, use a
guy like Lane who I think could be really, really dynamic.
I don't think he's I think he's kind of a
raw prospect, you know, I don't I'm not expecting the world.
But I think that there's more intrigue in an offense
(09:43):
like Cliff Kingsbury's where he allows his wide receivers to
do a little bit after the catch and get these
these passes closer line of scrimmage and stuff. I think
he's more of a Debo replacement, admittedly, so if Debo
was out, it would be a bigger deal in my opinion.
But that's kind of the way that I think about
this stuff. Like if I know that a player is
likely not very good. Sure he might have a better
(10:04):
week this week. Sure that might happen, but I'd rather
just take the chance on the rookie because if he
ends up doing well, then you're already head of the
game from a waiver wire perspective.
Speaker 3 (10:15):
All Right, we have a lot to talk about the Panthers.
I we can't even fit at all, probably this ten
these ten boxes. But we got Hubbard who is still
injured with a calf.
Speaker 1 (10:29):
He's a lot of conspiracy theories in the discord today.
Speaker 3 (10:32):
A lot of theories, by the way, really really.
Speaker 4 (10:36):
Quick with the Commanders.
Speaker 1 (10:37):
I just want to throw out there, Marcus Mariota is
a streamer this week, just because you know, it's a
decent enough matchup.
Speaker 4 (10:43):
He's also a revenge game for Marcus Mariota.
Speaker 3 (10:46):
Yeah that's fun, Yeah it is. Yeah, I love Marcus Mario.
I say, I mean.
Speaker 1 (10:52):
Most teams are a revenge game at this point for
Marcus Marioda.
Speaker 3 (10:55):
No, he's been on like three or four. That's it. Okay, okay, Yeah,
let's can we get back to the Panthers. Uh Jitavian
Sanders out so we have that. I mentioned Hubbard being questionable. Yeah,
uh Tetoroa is questionable as averly get is out as well.
(11:21):
So what's this offense gonna look like this week?
Speaker 1 (11:23):
Well, I believe Christian Gonzales is looking decent to play,
which is bad for TET. You know, you gotta hope
that he's not fully there yet because he hasn't been
playing in a while. Cuba, I think you gotta at
least give him like maybe ninety percent of his typical
workload and work just given this injury. You know, you
(11:43):
can't like go one hundred if he ends up playing.
I think he is gonna end up playing, and then
you know, so McMillan obviously, if he doesn't go, like
you're you're looking at some some really bottom of the
barrel players. For Carolina, New England was already a streamer
for me. I just think they become an even easier streamer.
If you want like a really deep play that you
you could hypothetically use. I think Tommy Tremble might be
(12:04):
that play. Stepping in for Jatavian Sanders should see a
really high route share, and then if there's no other
wide receiver alternatives there, then you know the strong wide
receiver alternatives and they could funnel some more targets as way.
So I think I think Tremble might be like a
deep sleeper play of all these guys that were looking
at this week.
Speaker 3 (12:25):
Yeah, we talked about Trimble on this Swollcast as like
a punt tight end, but he's he's been kind of
a swoll Cast staple in the past. I mean they
they have used Tremble in the past as far as
like last year when Jatavian Sanders was hurt. So we
were talking in our little stand up you know, half business,
half therapy, half bragging about our fantasy team session this morning,
(12:49):
and I was upset because someone had just like during
our meeting, someone in my home league had just picked
up Cocher, and I felt like that was on me
for not realizing that Cocher.
Speaker 4 (13:02):
Was I talked about on the fifteen transactions.
Speaker 3 (13:04):
I know, JJ, I know, listen, this is not on you, Bud,
This is on me.
Speaker 4 (13:09):
Okay, good, this is this is this is me I take.
Speaker 1 (13:12):
I take those kinds of like when people tell me
those stories and the discord and stuff, I always am
like guys I said, and they're.
Speaker 4 (13:19):
Like, I know, I'm just I'm just I'm just letting
it out. I'm just letting it out right.
Speaker 3 (13:22):
Yeah, I'm just letting people know that they're they're not alone. Yeah,
I'm right there with them, right there with them. Like
this guy on that team, I thought, Hey, this guy
could come on later. He could be just an amazing pick.
Brandon Ayuk, Are you kidding me? He's not close right now?
(13:42):
That's that's what they're saying, not close to coming back.
Speaker 4 (13:45):
Yeah, I mean, this is this is great news.
Speaker 1 (13:46):
My reaction is this is great news for for Ricky
Pierson and Juwan Jennings. Juwan Jennings at the time of
this recording, we don't know if he's gonna go this
weekend or not. But peer Saw has looked the part.
It's been It's been nice to see my second highest
explos wide receiver behind romandunze over on DraftKings just had
to throw.
Speaker 4 (14:03):
That out there. But but Pierce All has has looked
the part.
Speaker 3 (14:08):
You know.
Speaker 1 (14:09):
I think Juwan Jennings could hypothetically be a by low
right now because he's forgotten about. I mean, the injuries
have piled up a little bit. I think that could
stem from him not getting enough camp work because he
was doing that that whole holdout thing and so I
think that Jennings, you know, he might not go this weekend.
Speaker 4 (14:28):
But if we know that.
Speaker 1 (14:30):
Ayuk isn't going to be back for a little bit,
uh and at least towards the end of the season.
And once once it's towards the end of the season,
who knows what things are going to look like by then,
Jennings could could be a pretty viable like wide receiver
three option. And he's forgotten like no one wants Juwan,
like no one cares about Jawan Jennings right now. So
Piercell is always already getting his getting it done and
(14:50):
doing his thing. George Kittle will be back eventually, and
I think Kittle will be, you know, a top three
tight end in fantasy. And then this obviously just just
allows the floor to day steady for for Christian McCaffrey.
You seeing so much work and it's wild that after
the offseason we had, he's the one who stayed healthiest
in that offense so far.
Speaker 3 (15:10):
Well, really quick, when you have a shout out to
Lootie di JIBOUTI uh like get future futures, Saint Louis
Battlehawk's legend boy. So there you go, all right, Jalen
Warren is popped up on the injury orport. I believe
you might have posted this.
Speaker 1 (15:29):
I did because I'm I'm a I'm a Warren bag holder. Yeah,
I'm I've got I've got a decent amount routing on
Warren this year, and uh, you know, I mentioned him
as a bye this past week and it popped up
today that he's got this knee issue. The thing is,
with knee problems, it's usually like a morab like if
it's like a you know, it seems like with knees
(15:49):
it's like could be like a bruise or something like that,
as opposed to like if it's like mcl or something
like that's like a bigger deal. From like a tendon perspective,
this would be a bigger than it currently is. So
I'm hoping that it's nothing serious and that he's able
to go this weekend.
Speaker 3 (16:05):
Okay, uh, real quick, I just want to show if
you're if you're watching right now, this is what you
get with the Late Round discord right here, you get
Deve posting injury like this is just one channel and
we have cleaned it up. Yeah, where it's just it's
just news and rumors there are certain accounts we don't allow,
(16:27):
but it's like a community curated list. Martin tried to
get off track today. I said, Martin, you know, let's
let's make this clean and tidy. But this is what
you get with the discord. Go to lateround dot com
and click discord sign up today, join us in the
discord chat. All right, now we got running back injuries.
(16:51):
Naja Harris done, Yeah, James Connor, great guy. This is
Naji Harris done. Tyrone Tracy separated shoulder. So we just
talked about Jalen Warren. What's your thought on some of
these running back injuries that are now happening.
Speaker 1 (17:08):
I want to say that there's at least some regression
that's going on here based on what we saw last year.
You know, we're we're this is it's a it's a
punishing position. We're gonna see injuries happen. The other thing
though another one's Aaron Jones. Yeah, but but I do
think that, like if you know, no other year, and
I talked about this on the Mailback show, people are
(17:29):
panicking and they're reactionary, and it's they're louder than usual
with this stuff. And I think this year more than
any other year. We're seeing that, and it does play
into the shorter term and like the Naji Harris stuff
like Marion Hampton's gonna be their RB one rest of the season,
so we kind of can project that out, you know,
James Connor being out. We saw last night with how Arizona, which,
(17:52):
by the way, low key the way that my brain
is thinking right now about Trey Benson probably more by
than sell.
Speaker 3 (17:59):
Yeah, he looked good.
Speaker 1 (18:00):
I might talk about him on the fifteen Transaction Show
because people are gonna box score watch that game and
see that Amari de Marcado got that touchdown at the end,
and he was in the two minute in the hurry up,
which is definitely a thing that's gonna be a part
of the downside of Trey Benson because they they've used
de Marcado in that role. But the final snap count
(18:21):
should not be as skewed as it is. It just
so happens that, you know, they had a very sustained
drive in that at that time, right, and so it
just looks like the snap share was split.
Speaker 4 (18:32):
The way that it was because of that.
Speaker 1 (18:34):
But I thought Ben think got night like you have
to be Yeah, I don't think Benson is like a
super special talent. But I also think that people are
underrating the Seahawks defense. I mean, we've been talking about
it all year that the Seahawks defense is good, and
they've been under underrating that side. And then also just
(18:54):
like like it's okay if he's an RB two, which
is what we kind of thought he would be. There's
a lot of just dudes that are like in that range.
Trueba Hubbard's kind of in that range. Just these guys
who are fine who I don't really like go after
hardcore in drafts because I want more upside if I'm
spending a fourth or fifth round pick on a player
who's just gonna be an RB two because there's not
(19:14):
that much to rise there. But in season, you know,
it's different, like the costal choir is different, all the
situations are different. So I do think that that Tray
Benson is a little bit intriguing. But my point about
being reactionary to stuff is that there are players like
Tyrone Tracy and Aaron Jones who are not out for
the year. You know, like, like I see a message
(19:37):
from Keith five catches. He's a running back, not a
catching back next you're gonna tell me catches are good
for storing Fantasy points or something ridiculous.
Speaker 4 (19:43):
Yeah, But like.
Speaker 1 (19:45):
Like these guys aren't out for the Aaron Jones is
not out for the year. You know, Tyrone Tracy is
not out for the year. They were giving Tyrone Tracy
a decent amount of work to start that game against
Kansas City last week. I like him Skataboo, like I
think that these are like we have seen his game
translate already to the NFL, which was a question mark
because he's a bruiser and that doesn't always work whenever
(20:06):
you're playing against weaker competition.
Speaker 4 (20:08):
But he's he's got that dog in them. I mean,
the dude is a psycho.
Speaker 1 (20:11):
He's crazy, right and so, and he's a little bit
slow and he's not gonna have the same amount of
burst as a guy like Tracy. But I still think
him and Tracy work really really well together in tandem.
And when Tracy's back, he's going to steal some work
from Cam Skataboo.
Speaker 4 (20:24):
And so, you know, there's.
Speaker 1 (20:25):
Been a lot of chatter about how Skataboo is an
automatic league winner, and it's like he might be sure,
but can we at least like think about this from
from each end of the spectrum and say, okay, but Tyrone,
Tracy's gonna be back. Jordan Mason, great rusher, great runner.
We haven't seen him too much as a receiver, but
Aaron Jones is going to be back.
Speaker 4 (20:46):
At some point.
Speaker 1 (20:47):
You know, like we have to at least ground ourselves
with these takes. And that's my job to do that
for you guys, is to at least give you both
sides of the spectrum here and not get too too
emotional about what's going on. And sometimes I will, and
sometimes you know I'll be wrong for doing that, but
I just think that we got to cool our jets
a little bit on crowning these dudes league winners.
Speaker 4 (21:08):
I mean, my gosh, do.
Speaker 1 (21:10):
You remember after week one, Go look at the tweets
saying key On Coleman is a league winner. You know, like,
we got to just chill. Can we just relax for
a second, That's all I ask.
Speaker 4 (21:20):
Relax.
Speaker 3 (21:23):
I was going to reach for my phone to check
Hubbard's game log and just spilled my coke everywhere. But Cuba,
Hubbard's game log has been what you said it was
going to be.
Speaker 1 (21:34):
Losing work for the last two weeks to regod out
or including goal line work and lucking out by scoring
garbage time receiving touchdowns in weeks one and two.
Speaker 4 (21:44):
That's been Chewba hubbards season. Like, let's just call he's fine.
Speaker 1 (21:47):
He's a good player, Like I don't think that he's
like a league winner. He's fine, though, and he's doing
more or less what I thought he would be doing.
You know, he's gotten very fortunate that he scored those
late game touchdowns through the air. But you know, like
Rico O'Donnell's played a role on that team, and he
played a goal line role last week. And I've seen
a lot of people take because I do the data
(22:10):
dump every week, and I talked about Chuba Hubbard and
his snapshare or not his workload basically this past week
in that data dump thread. And then I saw a
lot of people, you know, it made its way to
Reddit and people were commenting on it and I and
and they were someone was saying how what I was
tweeting was misleading, and It's like, it's not misleading, it's
it's just a it's a it's a fact.
Speaker 4 (22:30):
This is it's just a.
Speaker 1 (22:32):
Stat that happened, and they were like, oh, but the
game script win a certain way. It's like, okay, well
what happens if the game script goes that way? Again,
like you want your similar to Trey Benson, we would
have loved that Trey Benson were on the field for
that two minute.
Speaker 4 (22:45):
Stuff like that would give him.
Speaker 1 (22:47):
Imagine if he got Amari de Marcado's work last night,
people would be saying that he's an RB one rest
of season in fantasy football. He just didn't because they're
not using him in that way. Similarly, the Panthers didn't
use Chew Bubbard, true, but Hubbard was seeing work in
a blowout at the end of that game. This is
not just a game script thing. They were using rico'dadle
a little bit. And you know, if that continues, maybe
(23:08):
it doesn't, but if that continues, that's gonna hurt a
player like Hubbard. You know, I think, like I said,
RB two, nothing wrong with an RB two, but I
don't think that he has like a true RB one ceiling.
Speaker 3 (23:18):
And also all these injurieses, it's it's kind of redefining
that running back dead zone. Yeah a little bit.
Speaker 4 (23:26):
I mean, con.
Speaker 3 (23:27):
Hubbard, Caleb Johnson, Tyrone, Tracy like all those guys.
Speaker 1 (23:32):
A little bit depending on the thing is though, is
that Like I said this offseason, I just think everyone
has a different definition of dead zone.
Speaker 4 (23:38):
It just kind of convolutes the the idea a little bit.
Speaker 3 (23:41):
But this is what the dead zone is gonna be,
we know, Like, yeah, we're we're redefining what that dead
zone is. That's what I'm saying. Yeah, it's gonna be
that pocket of guys is what it appears. Like Aaron
Jones is probably in that pocket too, all right, Yes,
redacted says I love how the news titles are something
snazzy in and have Jalen Warren. That's because it was
(24:02):
a last second ad. Here we go.
Speaker 4 (24:04):
We got Kyle and Chad saying concern warranted.
Speaker 3 (24:08):
Yeah that's good.
Speaker 4 (24:09):
Yeah, that's good.
Speaker 3 (24:10):
I like that.
Speaker 4 (24:11):
Kyle, You're hired, buddy.
Speaker 3 (24:13):
Yeah, thank you, Kyle low rist tolerance.
Speaker 4 (24:17):
This is this Brian Thomas Junior.
Speaker 1 (24:21):
Yeah Yeah, I'm just gonna say I've I've talked about
him enough on the shows.
Speaker 4 (24:26):
That's what's That's what I'm saying.
Speaker 1 (24:27):
Like, I I feel like my my general take is
out there. I probably still have a more buy than sell, uh,
you know, because I think he's a really talented player.
But you know, we we have to just be realistic
that like these year two guys who have crazy good
hit rates when they have really good rookie seasons, their
hit rates aren't undefeated, you know. And that's why I
mentioned the three guys on the mail bag yesterday. So
(24:48):
like that's the downside case. But I still think he's good.
I still am seeing good things from this Jacksonville offense
that I'm intrigued by and interested in. I think Trevor
Lawrence has a step his game up a little bit too,
but it can still come together, you know. I don't
I think that Travis Hunter not seeing as much work
is a good thing for Brian Thomas too. You know,
like that was a take that people had that they
(25:09):
thought that Travis Hunter could just be better than Brian
Thomas and if he's only going to run around on
sixty percent of their dropbacks, and that's going to help
Brian Thomas as well.
Speaker 3 (25:18):
All right, Addison Jordan Addison, I went.
Speaker 1 (25:23):
Back, Yeah, I mean, I think I think it's tough
to trust Addison this week, but he is getting a
good matchup against Pittsburgh. I think Joey Porter Junior is
still banged up, and you know, Carson Wentz. It's just
it's tough to know exactly what this passing offense is
going to be able to do it. We didn't really
get to see them in a normal environment last week,
(25:44):
and they obviously had a pretty easy matchup.
Speaker 4 (25:45):
It's a pretty easy matchup this week.
Speaker 1 (25:47):
I don't think you can start Addison yet, but you know,
I think it's like a wide receiver four type and
then you got to hope that they can figure something
out at the quarterback position.
Speaker 3 (25:56):
Okay, Jackson start.
Speaker 1 (25:59):
I'm just gonna it fun. I'm excited. I'm excited about
someone that you can you can stash. You know, nothing
wrong with that because he's gonna have some mobility in
some rushing upside.
Speaker 4 (26:10):
But I still this week tough matchup.
Speaker 1 (26:14):
First start, I mean, just be pleasantly surprised instead of
just like tilting your face off, because the the chance
of this goes south is much greater than it going
well from a fantasy perspective, and there's there's enough quarterbacks
out there that I think you can feel more comfortable playing.
Speaker 4 (26:29):
But I'd still stash him because I do think he
has some rushing upside.
Speaker 3 (26:33):
Okay, Godwin is questionable for this week. Uh so is
Tristan Wurf's. We got Mike Evans obviously out, So what's uh,
what's your thoughts in this bucks passing situation?
Speaker 1 (26:49):
I just have a hard time thinking that because, like
I published my top fifty and someone on on Patreon
was like, where's Chris Godwin? And I'm like, I don't
think that you can really play him coming off of
this injury, not knowing what his snapshare is going to
look like, and they're already hyping up Sterling Shepherd a
little bit like I, you know, I had Shepherd as
a as a sleeper on The Sleeper Show this week.
I just, you know, I think that there's gonna be
(27:09):
a ramp up period with with Chris Godwin, and we
don't know what that's gonna look like, so uh, you know,
obviously starting Buka who, I think it's a really high
target share despite a tough matchup. Uh, Sterling Shepherd's fine
as a sleeper. I don't think you can trust Godwin yet,
but you guys got to take the w's, you know,
if they come, even if they're on your bench. You know,
if Godwin goes off this week, that's a that's fantastic
(27:31):
news for your fantasy team. You know, that means that
he's good, he's ready to roll, and this offense is
gonna cook. Right, But if you know, I still think
that the logical thing is that they're gonna they're gonna
slow roll this a little bit and and not just
like throw them out there on one hundred percent of
their dropbacks.
Speaker 3 (27:48):
Okay, I think you might have mentioned this on the
Q and A the members Q and A about eighty
Mitchell possible this week, but Pierce has been ruled out
with a concussion.
Speaker 1 (28:00):
Yeah.
Speaker 4 (28:00):
I had ad as a sleeper on the Sleeper Show.
Speaker 3 (28:02):
That's what it was.
Speaker 1 (28:03):
Yeah, yeah, yeah, I mean Pierce out with a concussion.
You know, the the one to one play here. I
think a lot of people would assume, Oh, it's Josh
Downs who's going to benefit most. I think it's gonna
be Adie Mitchell because we've seen this in the past.
You know, last time Alec Peersmith's time, Adie Mitchell had
like a ninety three percent route share.
Speaker 4 (28:19):
He had a really good camp.
Speaker 1 (28:20):
There was a lot of buzz around Adie Mitchell this summer.
This is a game that could be higher ish scoring.
I still really want to see I'm not saying I
don't believe in the in the Colts, but I want
to see what they do against like a legit, legit
pass rush like this on the road, right, Yeah, and
then if they if they pass this test against the Rams, right,
(28:41):
I think that we should all feel very very comfortable
about the Colts moving forward.
Speaker 3 (28:45):
Yes, someone asked me about the Titans pass rush if
it or the Titans pass defense if it was legit,
and I just said, no, no, it is not legit.
The Titans are just bad, so teams don't really have
to throw yeah against it.
Speaker 4 (28:57):
So so, but with the Rams, like they can get
to the court back.
Speaker 1 (29:00):
You know, Daniel Jones has had a really good pass
past to our pressure to to sack ratio so far
this year, but that has n't been the case in
his history. So I'm just interesting to see, interested to
see what happens. You know, It's been a small sample. Still,
I've liked what I've seen from the Colts, but you know,
I don't want to like again, I'm trying to just
be level headed here, so yeah, I think this Rams
Colts game could be really fun and interesting. You know,
(29:22):
Adie Mitchell a lot of upside, pretty raw prospect when
he came out, but can play that perimeter role, can
stretch the field, which is exactly what Alec Pierce does.
In fact, Alec Pierce was one of Adie Mitchell's top
comps before he was even you know, in the ZAP model,
before he was even drafted to Indianapolis. Like this is
a Chris Ballard type of player, Like this is just
what they like, those like crazy athletes, you.
Speaker 4 (29:44):
Know, like Adie Mitchell's.
Speaker 1 (29:45):
So I think that he's gonna be the the number
two guy, you know, in two wide receiver sets with
with Josh Dollen still playing in the slot.
Speaker 3 (29:53):
Okay, someone that maybe if they are on their way
we war, maybe you should contact them.
Speaker 4 (29:59):
Today's data so today's data data of contact.
Speaker 3 (30:06):
Let's get to today's data where we're talking about yards
after contact.
Speaker 4 (30:12):
That's right, I was setting up.
Speaker 3 (30:13):
I was setting it up before. Maybe should contact them,
and then I.
Speaker 4 (30:16):
Was yeah, that's good. I shouldn't have been interrupted. You
shouldn't have said anything.
Speaker 3 (30:21):
I forgive you.
Speaker 1 (30:22):
I just pulled some stuff from PFF some of their
yards before contact and yards after contact stuff to show
you guys how players are performing, and to also talk
about yards before and after contact and the way that
people are describing them today.
Speaker 4 (30:37):
Okay, I have an.
Speaker 1 (30:38):
Issue when people speak, especially with running back metrics, speak
about them like as gospel and that there's nothing wrong
with them. There's so many flaws to a lot of
rushing metrics, especially when those rushing metrics are on a
three game sample like this is only looking at guys
who have twenty plus rush attempts.
Speaker 4 (30:55):
This will not stabilize for a really long time.
Speaker 1 (30:57):
And so when you see stuff like David Montgomery is
a great yards after contact rate, Well, why do you
think that's the case. Well, he had a monster run
against Baltimore last week, So that's gonna skew that data right, Like, realistically,
you should be capping this and looking at or at
least like looking at it in conjunction with stuff like
success rate, which is a more binary way of looking
at how running backs are performing on a per rush basis.
Speaker 4 (31:20):
But I wanted to show this today.
Speaker 3 (31:23):
Two.
Speaker 4 (31:23):
I do think that.
Speaker 1 (31:25):
People seem to make it make it seem like yards
before contact is all an offensive line thing.
Speaker 4 (31:30):
It's not all in offensive line thing.
Speaker 1 (31:32):
It could be something that's related to the shiftiness of
the running back himself, but also the running back is
not finding holes properly, like it could still be a
running back problem. Well, that being said, if you watch
these games, you've seen Ashton Genty and Chase Brown not
get any push whatsoever, and data does bear that out.
I mean both of them are below zero and yards
(31:52):
before contact per at tenth. I know a lot of
people have been saying that about Ashton Gent. It's the
same thing with Chase Brown according to PFF data. So
like Kase Brown not getting any push right now, talked
about that on both the shows that dropped today, the
mail Bag and Late Round Perspectives with Kyle Devorcik, and
then ash and Genty obviously has an offensive line problem too.
The difference is that Gent needs to run more routes.
(32:13):
He ran sub fifty percent of their dropbacks last year
or last week. Zamir White was getting a little bit
of work through the air, which is really really not
fun to see. But Chase Brown was still see he
saw a nineteen percent target share last week. So I'm
still not like burying Chase Brown talked about that in
the mail bag. I do think that we have to
punish him for not for not playing well and also
(32:35):
Joe Burrow being banged up, But I don't.
Speaker 4 (32:37):
Think it's the end of the world.
Speaker 1 (32:38):
And also this data was before last night, so Zach
Sharbonnet is listed there, but it could have changed with
both him and Kenneth Walker. But this is just a
really quick visual of where guys are yards before contact
per attempt and yards after contact per attempt, and the
two of those numbers together create their yards per carry average.
Speaker 4 (32:56):
It's a fun little way to think about that.
Speaker 3 (32:58):
Do you think that Walker got punished after the taunting penalty?
Speaker 4 (33:02):
One hundred percent? I think Kenneth Walker.
Speaker 1 (33:04):
Look, there is no better game in my opinion, to
see the difference between Zach Sharboney and Kenneth Walker and
the good and the bad for both of those players.
Speaker 3 (33:13):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (33:13):
Uh, Zach Sharboney's touchdown was a great run to you know,
finish the job and get and get in the end zone.
Speaker 3 (33:21):
He almost said two.
Speaker 1 (33:22):
His one that got called back was also a very
good run and it was an unnecessary holding call on JSN.
So like like I that's what you get with Sharbonay.
Now he was met beyind like he he didn't convert
on some of these third and fourth and shorts, but
he's still like you saw a glimpse of like what
Zach Sharbonay brings to the table, and then you see
the speed and the explosiveness and the acceleration of Kenneth Walker,
(33:45):
and then you see the bad with Kenneth Walker. There
were four different runs I want to say, where Walker
like thought he had the hole didn't and instead of
like just trying to turn out like a yard or two,
he would run backwards and try to gain more.
Speaker 4 (34:00):
On scrimmage to the other side.
Speaker 1 (34:02):
And it's like you can't really do that in the NFL, dude,
Like it's just it's not an easy thing to do. Now,
he's athletic enough where he might get away with that sometimes,
but that's the kind of people.
Speaker 3 (34:11):
Trying to break every run. It seemed like.
Speaker 1 (34:13):
Yeah, that's kind of That's always been Kenneth Walker, and
it's why when I talked about him, you know, I'm
always like he's less consistent and Sharbona is more consistent,
and we shouldn't be surprised if and when you know
a coaching staff maybe prefers sharbon A a little bit more.
It hasn't happened until really this year, but you know,
I think I think Walker is still like an RB
two type is ceiling his cat because of Zach Sharboney
(34:35):
for sure, because he's not seeing the goal line work.
And then sharbon A more of like a three touchdown touchdown,
dependable and dependent RB three type.
Speaker 3 (34:45):
Don't ask why. I just really needed that Walker touchdown.
Like whenever he went down, whenever they had passed interferencey
the end zone, I was like, this is it, this
is it? Yeah, it's not and then Sharp and I'm
like no, and then got stuffed the one. I'm like, okay,
now you bring in okay, now you bring Nope. Three straight,
three straight trips with Walker not fun. Maybe maybe next
(35:09):
time the late round main event. All right, let's get
to some players that you like more than consensus this week,
starting with quarterback.
Speaker 4 (35:20):
Yeah, there wasn't a ton at quarterback this week.
Speaker 1 (35:23):
I was assuming in my rankings whenever, so I put
this together on Thursday night every week, and so I
was assuming that Jade Daniels was playing. So actually I
have Gino Smith Moore at QB twelve and the consensus
had him at QB sixteen. I like Geno this week.
Obviously he's a pretty inconsistent player, but the Bears have
the second best are the second best matchup by jessin
(35:44):
points a lot to quarterbacks this year. The Raiders have
a top ten implied team total. The Bears have a
below average pass rush, and I think that's really big
for that aforementioned offensive line of the Raiders, like Gino
could be able to be clean in the pocket and
take his time to go through progressions.
Speaker 4 (35:59):
And so I like the match up. I like this game.
I think this game could could be relatively high scoring
this week.
Speaker 3 (36:04):
Okay, you keep that, keep that in your back pocket
from when we get.
Speaker 4 (36:08):
To the quad box Pleasekuah Okay, dude, get.
Speaker 3 (36:11):
The running backs and you've got JK. Dobbins. Yeah.
Speaker 1 (36:15):
I mean, I'm just surprised that he was ranked as
RB twenty one. My last check this was again like
twelve hours ago, because he saw it uptick in usage
last week because Tyler Biday only played like a snap
or two. Cincinnati is the fourth best matchup for running
backs by justin points allowed. The Broncos had the fifth
highest implied team total I actually think this could be
(36:37):
an RJ. Harvey game too, Like we might see a
little bit more RJ.
Speaker 4 (36:39):
Harvey this week.
Speaker 1 (36:40):
So both these guys I think are usable. Dobbins obviously
just the easy go to because he's seeing more early
down work, he's seeing more snaps, he's even running more
routes than Harvey. But this this could be a game
where we start to see a little bit of a
shift happen and RJ.
Speaker 4 (36:54):
Harvey kind of get into that, like, you.
Speaker 1 (36:56):
Know, like if they're gonna use two running backs, think
of it as like sixty forty with Dobbins getting the
sixty and r J. Harvey getting the forty, whereas it's
been more like seventy thirty to seventy five to twenty
five recently.
Speaker 4 (37:06):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (37:07):
I mean, as someone who has plenty of plenty of broncos,
I just I want to see them. I want to
see them like get into the thirties at some point,
like let's get some points on the board.
Speaker 4 (37:19):
Yeah. I gotta say though, JK.
Speaker 1 (37:21):
Dobbins, this is a very very much a personal my
team's take, But like JK.
Speaker 4 (37:26):
Dobbins might be my fantasy MVP.
Speaker 1 (37:28):
Right now personally because of the the way that like
we're getting such solid production out of him. Yeah, and
we're and I have him in a lot of teams.
I just thought he was underrated this year and undervalued,
but like it's such a nice bridge for when some
of these rookie running backs like a Trevon Henderson would
be able to maybe.
Speaker 4 (37:43):
Get a little bit more work. So I think that
you know that that, like Yin and Yang has been,
has been nice.
Speaker 3 (37:49):
Are you excited about the Monday night games.
Speaker 4 (37:54):
That there's two or just what the games are?
Speaker 3 (37:55):
Well, there's two.
Speaker 1 (37:57):
I'm I'm just excited that the one doesn't start like
ten o'clock. That's it there there, you can. You can
duel box these games. They're gonna going at the same
time this week.
Speaker 4 (38:07):
Thank god.
Speaker 3 (38:07):
The games itself not that great. Six fifteen or seven
fifteen and eight to fifteen Eastern times start.
Speaker 1 (38:13):
That's fine, that's fine. We're used to that. We're used
to that kind of thing. I'm just the problem with
that for me is that I do fifteen transactions on Monday,
and then with there being four teams playing that night,
that means that there's more chance that I'm gonna have
to edit that show and add a transaction and give
you guys a bonus transaction.
Speaker 3 (38:30):
Okay, let's go to wide receiver. This guy, let's see
what his name is, rome A Donesday.
Speaker 4 (38:37):
Yeah, people said, I know it's crazy.
Speaker 1 (38:39):
I hate him so much, and yet every week I've
talked about him on this show as a player that.
Speaker 4 (38:44):
I'm higher on versus the market.
Speaker 3 (38:47):
Yeah.
Speaker 4 (38:47):
Look, it's a plus matchup against Vegas.
Speaker 1 (38:49):
This week, he's seen target shares of twenty six and
a half percent thirty three five and a half percent
in three games. He's top fifteen in air yard share.
I just look, I know that you like, you can
say what you want about Caleb Williams as a as
an actual real NFL quarterback. This offense is going to
score fantasy points because because number one, it's designed well,
(39:10):
but number two, the defense is horrible.
Speaker 4 (39:13):
Like they're they're not gonna be able to play like
thirteen to three games.
Speaker 1 (39:18):
You know, every game with Chicago is more than likely
going to be a relative shootout, and so you know,
it's exciting, and so I think that's why you should
have been aggressive to get like relatively aggressive to get
Luther Burden off the waiver wire this week even those
peripherals weren't totally there.
Speaker 5 (39:34):
You know.
Speaker 1 (39:34):
I think it's why a Dounza is still kind of
undervalued with what he's doing. I'm not as keen on
DJ Moore, haven't really been keen on DJ Moore this year,
but it still helps him too, you know. And then
we'll see with with Colson Lovelin out if it helps
Cole Kmett as a streamercase. I do think Comet would
have made the Sleeper show had I had all of
(39:55):
that information. So there's another sleeper for you this week.
I think Cole Comett is a streamer.
Speaker 3 (39:58):
There you go. Kyle Pitts, who we've had on this
show as well before.
Speaker 1 (40:04):
I feel like I just bring him up every week
at this point. He's not to say that he was
good last week. It was an l from my perspective,
he was.
Speaker 3 (40:12):
He was participating.
Speaker 4 (40:13):
Yeah, that's all we care about.
Speaker 3 (40:15):
Tight end.
Speaker 1 (40:16):
Yeah, he is second among tight ends and raw participation
rate right now. There could be a negative game script
against Washington. I said probable. I haven't updated this since
Jaden Daniels was out. But even if there's not a
negative game script, it's fine. It's a reasonable matchup by
justin points allowed. He has a nineteen percent target show
this year. There's a chance he moves down like a
(40:36):
spot or two in the rankings by Sunday, but I'm
still probably gonna be higher than the market on Kyle
Pitts this week.
Speaker 3 (40:44):
Let's get into some bold predictions for Week four. One
of them pretty spicy. This one also spicy. Ken Coleman
scores fifteen plus PPR points this week.
Speaker 4 (40:56):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (40:56):
Look, last week, I'm pretty sure all three bold predictions
kind of hit.
Speaker 3 (41:00):
What was the third one? What what the one we
were waiting?
Speaker 4 (41:03):
He had?
Speaker 1 (41:03):
We had Jordan Mason as a top six running back,
I think he was in He ended up being top six.
We had Nico Collins goes nuclear.
Speaker 4 (41:11):
Which is subjective.
Speaker 3 (41:12):
Pretty much happened.
Speaker 4 (41:13):
Yeah, Like people might debate that one.
Speaker 3 (41:16):
He had like twenty six, he had like twenty six
PPR points.
Speaker 4 (41:19):
He was he was very good yeaheah. And then the
other one was that Marcus Mariotto would be a top
eight quarterback.
Speaker 3 (41:25):
That's what it was.
Speaker 1 (41:26):
Yeah, So those those those hit last week. Those were
those were good last week. I feel like I need
to just only I need to do like a show
where I'm only talking bold like. I wonder if if
people would just like want me to scrap the I
don't know, sleeper show and just only talk bold about players,
because if.
Speaker 3 (41:46):
You thought you were getting stuff, now wait till you
just talk in absolute with bold stuff.
Speaker 4 (41:52):
That's true, that's true. It would be a disaster if
I if I do a show like that.
Speaker 2 (41:56):
Uh.
Speaker 1 (41:57):
Keon Coleman. Fifteen plus PPR points this week. The Bills
have a thirty two and a half point ply team total.
Teams have been attacking the perimeter against the Saints. They
have the second highest outside wide receiver target shair rate
allowed in the league to start the year. Keon Coleman,
you know there's gonna be inconsistency with any Bills wide receiver,
but he has an eighty three percent route here.
Speaker 4 (42:17):
That's the highest on the team.
Speaker 1 (42:19):
You know, I think people are gonna say, oh, he's
not gonna see that much volume because they're gonna be leading,
and you know they might only throw the ball twenty
to twenty three times or something like that.
Speaker 4 (42:27):
And I get it.
Speaker 1 (42:28):
This is more of a first half. Let's see him
find the end zone. It's the right matchup. Get him
back on track a little bit. It feels like the
right kind of plays, like a you know, desperation, not
desperation even, but like a high vola, like a volatile,
high variance flex.
Speaker 4 (42:44):
This week is what I see in Keon Coleman.
Speaker 3 (42:46):
Okay, this guy is he is the bold call of
the week. It feels like Lad McConkie gets back on track.
Speaker 4 (42:56):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (42:56):
This was something that I talked about with Kyle devorcik
on on Late Round Perspective. He brought it up at
the end of the show as his bold prediction, and
I agree with him, So I'm going to bring it
up on this show as a bold prediction. So you
know this someone might say this is plagiarism, it's it's
not You credited.
Speaker 4 (43:09):
You credited him, Yeah, yeah, exactly, credit him.
Speaker 1 (43:12):
I thought it was a good take, and it's something
that the data bears out because I look a lot
at slot rates and adjusted slot rates allowed, and the
Giants have been third in adjusted slot target share allowed
to wide receivers this year. Lad McConkey has had slot
rates of fifty three, seventy six percent, and sixty four percent.
And it feels, you know, it's just one of those
vibes based ones where we're seeing Keenan Allen and Quintin
(43:34):
Johnston do their thing.
Speaker 4 (43:37):
And now it's Lad McConkie's turn.
Speaker 3 (43:40):
Olso said a guy in my league that refuses to
trade me Coleman started watching this show, do me a
solid and say he's a sale.
Speaker 4 (43:47):
Just for the bit, I'd wait until after this week.
Speaker 3 (43:52):
Okay, all right, let's get to them look Ahead waiver Wire,
which has been pretty solid. I mean, i'd say maybe
instead of the Sleepers show, do the look Ahead.
Speaker 4 (44:03):
Oh so another fifteen transaction.
Speaker 3 (44:05):
Show look Ahead Sleepers, Yeah, and Bold Predictions.
Speaker 1 (44:10):
The problem is that I try my best to like
get like, you know, like the look Ahead look Ahead
like an Aronde Gadstan or something you know that you
know might not make it on, like a mainstream waiver
Wire show or something, but you know you can see
the trajectory kind of happening for him.
Speaker 4 (44:24):
But yeah, let's let's look at the look Ahead Waiver Wire.
Speaker 3 (44:26):
So start with Jackson Dart.
Speaker 1 (44:28):
Jackson Dart, like I said, I think he's got rushing
upside if we see that, and what if he just
performs well, I mean it's very easy to see Jackson
Dart leading away her Wire column next week, even though
they're their matchups upcoming are not very strong.
Speaker 3 (44:40):
Okay, and then you've got down Tavian Wicks on there.
Speaker 4 (44:44):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (44:44):
I mean a lot of times. The way that Waiver
Wire stuff works is that I just saw Keith said
Keith and Chad said, look ahead, look Ahead, bold sleeper.
Speaker 4 (44:55):
Prediction, walk of the week. Yeah, exactly.
Speaker 1 (44:59):
But the thing with Waiver Wire like columns, and you know,
even with the fifteen Transaction Show, it's still reactive to
how a player performs in a given week. And Green
Bay is coming off a really bad offensive performance. They
get Dallas this week. It's the best matchup you can
find on paper. And Dantavian Wicks is basically running that
slot role that Jayden Reid would run, and he's seeing
(45:22):
a high target share like targets per out run rates
similar to what Jayden Reid would would do and see.
And so he's only three percent rostered right now across
Yahoo leagues. And so I would say that.
Speaker 4 (45:33):
I did that on purpose.
Speaker 3 (45:34):
I know, I know it's still triggered me.
Speaker 1 (45:37):
Yeah, but yeah, he's still three percent rostered over on
Yahoo and he you know, it could have a decent
day against Dallas, So I wouldn't be surprised if people
are saying, hey, add Dantavian Wicks.
Speaker 3 (45:50):
You think this is Golden's week? Yes, this week?
Speaker 4 (45:53):
Very much? So Yeah, yeah, I almost made him a
bold prediction this week. Yeah.
Speaker 3 (45:58):
Maybe I'm giving you the upper right now to make
it a bonus bold prediction.
Speaker 1 (46:02):
Matthew Golden goes for ninety three yards in a touchdown.
Speaker 3 (46:08):
Okay, here you going.
Speaker 1 (46:09):
I'm gonna write that down so that we don't forget
Matthew Golden. Yeah, ninety three yards one touchdown. I'm not
gonna give you the receptions, it's just the yardage total.
Speaker 3 (46:17):
With about to say, could you bonus as you could
say like twenty PPR points, But it's all right, we'll
take your word for it, all right. Parker Washington the
Jacks Jags leading receiver.
Speaker 4 (46:28):
Yeah exactly.
Speaker 1 (46:29):
I mean like Diammy Brown's banged up, Travis Hunter's not
playing a ton. I think Parker Washingtons like not a
bad player, and he can play the slot and they
have a good slot matchup this week. So again, similar
ideas doan Tavian Wicks. Parker Washington could could just see
production and then be someone that people want to add
off the waiver wire.
Speaker 3 (46:49):
Okay, Arondez Gadsten. This is a guy who I'm excited
about because of best ball bags in particular.
Speaker 1 (46:57):
Yeah, Gadson's fun, man. I mean, he's a converted wide receiver.
You know, he didn't look like amazing the in the
ZAP model just because of his draft capital and stuff.
But you know, someone that last week ran fourteen routes,
saw seven targets on those routes, which is insane.
Speaker 4 (47:13):
It's not going to maintain.
Speaker 1 (47:14):
But they've already talked about him earning more work in
that offense. Here's my fear with Gatson this week and
why I didn't mention him on the Sleeper show. Number One,
that's not a big route share right.
Speaker 4 (47:24):
Number two.
Speaker 1 (47:26):
That game script last week was pretty favorable for a
player like Gadson, whereas this one this week against Jackson
Dart and the Giants, you could see a positive game
script emerging and happening for them. And if that happens,
they probably are going to use like a Tyler Conklin more,
you know, just the safer bet as a blocking tight end.
So there's some fear there that Gatson doesn't necessarily you know,
(47:47):
get a lot of work this week, but he's someone
that absolutely needs to be on everyone. I mean I
got him for basically free in a lot of leagues
this week. Part of that was because I feel like
sometimes players get more steam as the week goes on,
and if you do a Tuesday to Wednesday waiver, you
can sometimes get values on players, and that was the
case with Gatson.
Speaker 4 (48:05):
It was like it was like almost.
Speaker 1 (48:07):
Like the the masses didn't realize fully what was going
on with Gason until Wednesday. Yeah, and then the Wednesday
Thursday waivers. He was a little bit more expensive, but
he was really cheap for you know, in a lot
of my leagues, you know, on Tuesday Wednesday. So he's
now a as I call it, a pants off player
for the late round brand this season because I've got
a lot of Rondez Gasson.
Speaker 3 (48:28):
Okay, I almost mentioned Ceedee Lamb on the news, but
we're going to talk about who you'd prefer, and that's
Cavante Turpin.
Speaker 1 (48:36):
Yeah, I think Jalen Tolbert, Like we know what kind
of player he is. Turpin is is dynamic, really fun
with the ball in his hands. He had a seventy
percent round chair last week. I think I should have
called him out on the Sleeper Show this week as
a player that we could because also you got to
think about this is a Green Bay defense that is
really really good. They can get to the quarterback, they
(48:56):
might need some easier dump offs, which is why I
also don't want to just see what they do with
Jaden Blue. I'm not saying they're gona address him, but
uh if they do, like obviously.
Speaker 5 (49:05):
Got some positive coach speak this week, at least a
little bit, yeah, a little bit, but like he's the
kind of player and Turpins the kind of player that
you probably need to just kind of dump the ball
off to a in a game against this kind of
pass rush.
Speaker 1 (49:19):
And so you know, seventy percent routes share last week
is strong. He's that a dynamic player. So we'll see
what happens if he if he has good production, if
he still sees his kind of routchare, then he could
find you know, some waiver wire columns.
Speaker 3 (49:32):
Turpin. Is he still returning kicks? Yes, he well, he's
returned three punts and ten kickoffs. Yeah, we like those
kickoff return guys. All right, TOAJ Brooks, this is mostly
just like what Chase Brown is a bum?
Speaker 4 (49:49):
Yeah?
Speaker 1 (49:50):
What if he's dust? Yeah, I don't. I don't really
think we're ever going to start TODJ. Brooks without a
Chase Brown.
Speaker 3 (49:55):
Injury though, Okay, Broshawn Johnson, DeAndre Switt's been a little
bit banged up.
Speaker 1 (50:00):
Kyle Manungai, I don't think is that special of a player.
I think they might give Roshan Johnson work eventually. You
know that That's what this take is we keep.
Speaker 3 (50:08):
Putting him on this list or he's just I think
the person he's on this list. But if we just
from this point forward keep on putting him on this list,
I'd be fine with just because he gives me a
little bit of hope.
Speaker 4 (50:18):
Yeah, a little bit of hope there. Elijah Arroyo, So
we saw last night Arroyo look good. I thought like
he he. Arroyo is another one of those.
Speaker 1 (50:27):
Players who is very much a pass catching tight end.
You know, he's athletic, and he had good metrics, like
a really solid prospect. And so last night, you know,
we did see AJ Barner find the end zone, but
listening to his route shares from Elijah Royal thirty eight percent,
Week one, fifty one percent, Week two thirty eight percent,
Week three.
Speaker 4 (50:45):
Sixty one percent.
Speaker 1 (50:47):
Last night against Arizona, he had his seventeen percent target share.
So I think he should be on your radar as
sort of like you know, in a Rondez Gatston situation,
you know someone who's just like he's a rookie.
Speaker 4 (50:58):
We want to be.
Speaker 1 (50:59):
Aggressive with keis in first year players because we don't
know what their ceiling really is. And I would much
rather prefer the ceiling of Elijah Roy overs the ceiling
of aj Barner.
Speaker 3 (51:08):
At this point had a thirty two yard catch, had
four targets, and I thought he was gonna score touch
on it at one point. Yeah, all right, the last
one you've got. The Cleveland Browns defense.
Speaker 1 (51:22):
Is Yeah, you're not playing the Browns this week against Detroit,
but if you want to look ahead defense, they get
Minnesota next week in Cleveland. So Carson Wentz more than
likely in Cleveland. The Browns defense is not bad.
Speaker 3 (51:34):
Yeah, but I wouldn't be the pass rush.
Speaker 4 (51:35):
Yeah, I wouldn't be playing them against Detroit though.
Speaker 3 (51:39):
No, let's not do that. Okay, let's get on. Oh no,
I forgot, I didn't do the hold on. Now we're there.
Speaker 4 (51:53):
Well, what a great transition.
Speaker 3 (51:55):
I'm sorry, I was just so excited to talk about
the quad box.
Speaker 4 (51:59):
Oh you're gonna pick the Giants?
Speaker 3 (52:00):
No, no, no, I'm going to let the chat pick
which game they want. So the chat gets to pick
one of the four games because I messed it up
last week by picking the Chiefs and the Giants. So
chat gets to pick right now which games they like.
You see right here the games that are available. You know,
(52:24):
you got colt Rams, Ravens, Chiefs, Bill Saints, No, Raiders, Bears, Packers, Cowboys,
that Sunday Night game. So those are these are some
of the teams you have to to choose from.
Speaker 4 (52:37):
And uh, you got a consensus in chat right now?
Speaker 3 (52:41):
Yeah, Colts, colt Rams.
Speaker 4 (52:43):
Colts Rams. We'll throw them up there. That's that's Chats
squad box pick.
Speaker 3 (52:46):
I agree.
Speaker 4 (52:46):
I think Colt Trams is the most.
Speaker 1 (52:48):
Intriguing game this weekend, okay, because there's a lot of things.
Speaker 4 (52:51):
I think we're gonna just learn a lot.
Speaker 1 (52:53):
This weekend from that game, you know, Okay, right, I
will go or do you want do you want the
next pick?
Speaker 3 (52:59):
Or do I mean no, you can have it.
Speaker 4 (53:01):
I will take the Ravens Chiefs because it's shock.
Speaker 3 (53:06):
Oh really taking the Chiefs in the late afternoon game.
Where do you get your ideas?
Speaker 1 (53:11):
Yeah, the Chiefs when they're underdogs in a game against
Baltimore is way more interesting than the Chiefs when they're
big favorites against Russell Wilson in the year twenty twenty five.
Speaker 4 (53:22):
Yeah, a little bit more intriguing. Kitchen.
Speaker 3 (53:24):
Okay, these Monday night games are terrible. Yeah, but I
will go with Green Bay and Dallas and that Sunday
night football game. Let's run Let's run the Sunday night
football back that game back. I was a little bit
surprised to see this game only a six and a
half point difference.
Speaker 4 (53:45):
Yeah, I mean it's in Dallas. I think that plays
a role.
Speaker 1 (53:47):
And Dallas is always you know, it's like it's like
a it's America's team, so people bet on them more
than they should.
Speaker 3 (53:52):
We've got though the drama, We've got the intrigue, We've
got the underdog story that someone's stepping up for ceedee lamb.
We got pickings that could shine in the limel.
Speaker 4 (54:02):
This is a fine pick.
Speaker 3 (54:03):
I'm not gonna no, no, no, no. I feel like
I need to justify my picks or else I'll just
get roasted by the Chat and in discords. So Ravens
and Chiefs, and then Dallas against Green Bay.
Speaker 4 (54:21):
Yeah, Dallas.
Speaker 1 (54:22):
The last one I think is really genuinely up in
the air, like can go in a lot of different directions.
Speaker 4 (54:28):
I have a pick that.
Speaker 1 (54:34):
Someone said John and Chat are saying that Chase Brown's
gonna be fine, and then Todd Brooks is a look
ahead waiver wire target.
Speaker 4 (54:40):
Guys.
Speaker 1 (54:40):
I'm just I'm looking for the range of outcomes here, Okay, people,
I think I am probably higher than a lot of
people on Chase Brown rest of season based on the
fact that people think Chase Brown is complete dust I
don't think moms, Okay, that's that's that's the take. That's
my take on Chase Brown.
Speaker 3 (55:00):
Oh I did, Actually, Jobo Bondi mentioned it. Do you
know Michael Parsons is gonna be playing against his old team?
Speaker 4 (55:09):
Yeah?
Speaker 3 (55:10):
Crazy, it's crazy? Yeah, all right, all right.
Speaker 1 (55:16):
I am going to I think the chock play with
what's left is Eagles Buccaneers.
Speaker 3 (55:25):
I would say, and you did to choose, it's what
it's what game you want?
Speaker 4 (55:30):
I know I'm gonna I'm gonna go Eagles Buccaneers.
Speaker 3 (55:32):
This is it's a bad choice, but that's okay. It's
probably gonna be just a slog a slow game. If
it was me, I'd want to see the Raiders and Bears.
Speaker 4 (55:42):
The Buccaneers play, the play the Eagles well typically and
it should be fun.
Speaker 3 (55:46):
Okay, j J. This is your pick, not mine. If
it doesn't go well next week, you can always just
toss it to the chat to pick one of yours.
Speaker 1 (55:55):
My TV right here has the Ryder Cup on right now,
and I accidentally just hit the volume button a turn
it on, So I didn't hear anything that you just said.
Speaker 3 (56:02):
Okay, well, probably a good thing.
Speaker 4 (56:05):
Probably.
Speaker 3 (56:07):
I said, if you picked us, not hit next week
then or on Sunday, then you just use the chat
to pick. So but I did say if I if
I could pick my second game, and I'm not going to,
if I could pick, it would be Raiders and Bears.
Speaker 1 (56:22):
Yeah, but like everyone's saying, I mentioned it too, the
Bucks play the Eagles well, which is why I think
and Baker's a really fun watch and what if the
Eagles are opening things up a little bit and the button.
Speaker 3 (56:33):
I'm not a historical game guy like I don't factor
in past seasons games.
Speaker 1 (56:38):
No, No, I think a lot of that stuff is BS.
But I don't think it's BS when you have this
similar coaching staff.
Speaker 3 (56:43):
Okay, you know, say we had like Charters and Giants,
which like you're just seeing.
Speaker 1 (56:50):
Jackson because of Jackson Dart Jackson Dart, right, you've loved
the Giants.
Speaker 3 (56:54):
No, I don't. It's also the Chargers who said Lad
McConkey is gonna you know, I'm just I'm just looking
for things right now.
Speaker 1 (57:03):
I think that they might have been next on the list,
but I think you got to go with the Bucks
and Eagles ahead of them.
Speaker 3 (57:08):
I'm gonna say, Vikings and Steelers if Ireland game, if
it's an Ireland game, and if they have some sort
of promo for the Late Round podcast on there, so
we'll see.
Speaker 4 (57:21):
Is that happening, am I? What are you talking about?
Speaker 3 (57:25):
It might okay, so you'll just have to see not
like a commercial but the scroll or the ticker.
Speaker 1 (57:32):
Oh yeah, that's true, okay, okay, yeah, because we are
we are part of the Shield now, we are part.
Speaker 3 (57:37):
Of the Shield in the network. So they should have
sent us to Ireland.
Speaker 4 (57:42):
Oh my gosh, that'd have been awesome next year.
Speaker 3 (57:45):
Next year because yeah it's the Steelers in Ireland. I know,
I loved it.
Speaker 4 (57:51):
Yeah it's my team.
Speaker 3 (57:52):
That's we should we that should have been in the contract.
That's that's on me as well. All right, JJ, let's

Speaker 4 (58:32):
In the in the old country there, And.
Speaker 3 (58:34):
I love How are you usually this involved in the
Ryder Cup?
Speaker 1 (58:38):
I love golf, right, Yeah, I love watching Yeah. This morning,
Kitchen and I had our meeting and I was just
watching the Ryder couple.
Speaker 3 (58:47):
How nice is it though to have the TV now
in your office where you can watch it.
Speaker 1 (58:51):
Yeah, this way, I have two TVs in my office now,
but this is one that's directly in my line of sight. Yeah,
living big because TVs are really expensive these I got
this one.
Speaker 4 (58:59):
For total of like eighty dollars. Guys, it's crazy.
Speaker 3 (59:02):
