Программа посвященная памяти Олега Николаевича Ефремова, подготовил и вел Павел Асс вскоре после смерти знаменитого актера и режиссера в мае 2000 года. В ней Асс представил отрывки из разных интервью, которые он записал с Ефремовым в течении 11 лет с 1987 по 1998 в Англии и в США.
Олег Ефремов, был награжден множеством государственных премий за его деятельность в театре и кино, был создателем театра “Современник”. С 1970 года он возглавлял МХАТ СССР имени Горького, и пол века преподавал актерское мастерство в школе студии МХАТа. Он был одним из основателей Союза театральных деятелей СССР и Народным депутатом СССР от творческих союзов. В этой записи он говорит об Иннокентии Смоктуновском, о Михаиле Чехове, и о провале первой постановки спектакля “Чайка” Антона Чехова. Он также рассуждает о мастерстве актера и режиссера, и о том, что самое главное – жить и быть благодарным, что тебе дана жизнь!
