Pushkin. Hey everyone, my name is Justin Richmond, and this
show started from the bottom as an origin that's probably
familiar to a lot of you listening. I was always
told growing up that college would be my ticket. It
was the end all be all. No one in my
family had ever completed a degree. So by the time

(00:36):
I transferred to UC Berkeley in twenty eleven, I thought
that as long as I made it through the next
two years, i'd made it. Of course, it was really
only the beginning. I had no idea what came next,
what I wanted to do for a living, or what
making a living even was. I was lost, and so
I started doing what I used to do as a kid.
Anytime I saw a brother who looked like me in

(00:58):
a Benz or a suit, I started asking successful black
men and women i'd see around what they did for me.
It seems like the only way I could figure any

This show struck me to sert. Interviewing successful people who

up in a world where almost nobody went to college.
How did they do it? How did they beat the
odds while also beating away the nagging feeling of being
an imposture, of feeling like an outsider. This is started

Are You A Charlotte?

Are You A Charlotte?

In 1997, actress Kristin Davis’ life was forever changed when she took on the role of Charlotte York in Sex and the City. As we watched Carrie, Samantha, Miranda and Charlotte navigate relationships in NYC, the show helped push once unacceptable conversation topics out of the shadows and altered the narrative around women and sex. We all saw ourselves in them as they searched for fulfillment in life, sex and friendships. Now, Kristin Davis wants to connect with you, the fans, and share untold stories and all the behind the scenes. Together, with Kristin and special guests, what will begin with Sex and the City will evolve into talks about themes that are still so relevant today. "Are you a Charlotte?" is much more than just rewatching this beloved show, it brings the past and the present together as we talk with heart, humor and of course some optimism.
