50 שנה למלחמת יום הכיפורים. נפתלי חן מספר לנו את סיפורו של משה לוי, יהודי עם שם פשוט ושכיח - ואישיות מעוררת השראה שנותנת לנו שיעור גדול במסירות נפש והקרבה.
ב-1973 כחודש לפני פרוץ מלחמת יו"כ משה לוי מקבל צו מילואים. באותו זמן הוא ישב בביתו והתאושש מתאונה בה נפגע פיקה בברכו, ולכן לא השתתף בלחימה. הוא החליט שהוא יוצא להילחם בתעלת סואץ, ולנוכח מחאותיה של אשתו שהוא פצוע ובאמצע תהליך השיקום הוא ענה : "אל תדאגי, אני אחזור".
במהלך הלחימה הם נכנסים למארב מצרי וכתוצאה מפגיעת טיל ידו הימנית נקטעת. עם זרוע מדממת פקד על החיילים לקפוץ החוצה. הוא מנסה להשיב אש אבל זה לא אפשרי עם יד אחת פגועה, והוא זורק רימון לעבר העמדה המצרית, מחסל את האויב אבל נפצע בעצמו מהרסיסים. הוא שוכב פצוע, חושב שאלו רגעיו האחרונים בחייו ואז נזכר שהוא הבטיח לאשתו שהוא יחזור ולכן הוא חייב לקום - והוא קם, חוזר לחבריו. משה לא מוכן להתפנות עד שאחרון הפצועים יפונו ורק אז מסכים לקבל טיפול רפואי. הוא מקבל את עיטור הגבורה - העיטור הגבוה ביותר שאפשר לקבל על המעשה שהוא עשה.
משה פותח חברת אבטחה מצליחה מאוד, הוא היום מאבטח חלקים מהפנטגון וכורים גרעיניים בכל העולם, שדות תעופה מאוד מורכבים, אבל הוא לא שוכח מאיפה הגיע וכל יום זיכרון הוא מגיע לארץ ומעביר שיחות מוטיבציה לחיילים.
