רס"ן עידו שני ז"ל, בן 29 מרמת גן, היה סגן מפקד סיירת נח"ל ונפל בשבת השחורה באזור מוצב סופה. אימו דבורה מספרת: "אני קראתי לעידו חיוך עם ילד. הוא אהב את הצבא והחיים. עידו גם מאוד מאוד אהב אדם, להשפיע על אנשים ולהיות בקשר איתם וחלק מזה היה להיות מפקד בצבא. הוא די מהר זיהה את החלש והמוחלש. אחרי שעידו נהרג קיבלנו מכתבים מחיילים בודדים ברחבי העולם שסיפרו איך עוד לפני שהיה מפקד הוא זיהה את הקשיים שלהם ועזר להם. בזמן השבעה, חברים, בעיקר חיילים בודדים, סיפרו לנו על כך גם כן. מוקדם יותר באותה השנה הוא התחתן עם עם מעיין אשתו. ב-7 באוקטובר הוא היה בין הראשונים שהכריזו בקשר על המלחמה ובין לבין הוא כתב לה 'אני אוהב אותך, הכל בסדר'. עידו קיבל קריאה ממוצב סופה ויצא לעזור עם החפ"ק שלו. בדרך לשם הם נקלעו למארב מחבלים והוא נפגע בראשו. החיילים פינו אותו ליישוב אבשלום ושם נקבע מותו. אנחנו חושבים על איך להנציח את עידו כל הזמן. למשל, 'מצפה עידו' בכפר חרוצים באזור בו גדל. אנחנו גם מעבירים מפגשים בתנועת הנוער של האיחוד החקלאי, בה היה מאוד פעיל. בנוסף, יש מסגרת בבא"ח הנח"ל להנחלת ערכיו. עידו גם אהב את ההנאות הקטנות של החיים. בהקשר הזה חבריו יצרו בירה שקולעת לטעמו ונקראת על שמו. עיריית רמת גן, במחווה מאוד מרשימה ומרגשת, החליטה לקרוא קטע ברחוב בו גר עם אשתו על שמו של עידו, במסגרת מיזם להנצחת נופלי העיר" | האזינו לשיחה המלאה בתוכניתם של יניר קוזין ויאיר שרקי במסגרת מיזם "נזכור את כולם" שמביא את סיפוריהם של נופלי 7 באוקטובר:
