השבוע ב"חוץ לארץ" עם חן ליברמן:
בראשית השבוע שעבר יצאו לרחובות רומניה מפגינים שזעמו על פסילתו של פוליטיקאי ימני קיצוני ופרו-רוסי שהתמודד על הנשיאות. הפסילה הגיעה על רקע הצלחתו המפתיעה של קלין ג'ורג'סקו בסיבוב הראשון ועל רקע חשדות כבדים שמוסקבה מעורבת בקמפיין שלו.
באופן שעד לפני חודשיים היה יכול להיתפס כהזוי, מי שנעמד לצד הפוליטיקאי הקיצוני הוא סגן נשיא ארצות הברית, ג'י די ואנס, והוא גם נהנה מתמיכתו של אלון מאסק.
המהומה הפוליטית הזו מגיעה לרומניה אחרי שנים שבהן פילסה את דרכה המיוחדת אל עבר האיחוד האירופי ואל המערב, והמתחים האלו צפויים להגיע לשיא בבחירות שיתקיימו בעוד חודשיים.
בפרק הזה ננסה להבין כיצד הצליח מועמד אלמוני יחסית לסחוף אליו כל כך הרבה קולות, ואיך זה קשור לעבר האפל של רומניה. נתהה למה הפרוגרס הוא לא עניין גדול במדינה המזרח אירופאית והאם דווקא ממנה תצא הבשורה שתציל את הדמוקרטיה הליברלית.
