Speaker 5 (02:17):
Also the social channels, Oh, the social.
Speaker 3 (02:19):
Channels, Yeah I said that today. Are you on all
of them? Except for Facebook?
Speaker 5 (02:23):
US possible today?
Speaker 2 (02:24):
That's ex Instagram and TikTok doing a lot of stuff
on Instagram this week as well.
Speaker 5 (02:28):
To check that all out. We've got a lot of
stuff coming.
Speaker 2 (02:29):
As well as the YouTube hit the subscribe butt and
the notifications. Now I'm going to let the boys loose
it round them are this week, so it's going to
be a good time. And look, we apologize if it's
a little bit shaky.
Speaker 5 (02:40):
We are on the road.
Speaker 2 (02:41):
We're on the road to Adelaide. We're having a good
time here. But let's get into some footy road trip
questions to kick it off. Boys, Now we all go
for three different clubs. Give me two players that you
would want and two players that you wouldn't want on
a footy road trip or just on a road trick
in general.
Speaker 6 (02:56):
Or to start, I'll go obviously, I'll go for North Melbourne.
I'm going to start with I want suber Laki on
my road trip. I feel like he's really good vibes.
He can do a lot of bit different impressions of
famous people. But a Damien Barrity does, which is hilariously
on artick triple M. Well, what impression would you want
to see?
Speaker 5 (03:12):
What?
Speaker 3 (03:13):
I think he did a really good like Adam San
I think, I think.
Speaker 5 (03:16):
Really I don't want I don't want eight to nine
hours of that.
Speaker 6 (03:20):
I feel like he has he just looks fun, He's
a bit quirky and a bit different. He's not going
to just talk footy the whole time. I feel like
he'd be good vibes. Either one is Harry, She's or
just because he's it's a beautiful man. I look, I
already look up to him and.
Speaker 4 (03:31):
He's what.
Speaker 8 (03:34):
Damn it?
Speaker 3 (03:34):
I was set fine.
Speaker 6 (03:35):
Into that one, but yeah, I want to get I
think you always.
Speaker 3 (03:37):
Talking about his nutritional habits. Yeah, he's very switched on,
very switched on. I just want to just pick his
mind it because seems like a really interesting man.
Speaker 5 (03:43):
So what he would.
Speaker 3 (03:47):
It was delicious. And then we've got people I wouldn't
want to share the.
Speaker 6 (03:51):
Car with on a road trip, Tom Power because his
favorite song is Thick of It by Ks. We do
not want to hear that song on a roach that
was just ruined the vibes. And I heard that Marvel
and almost one. Uh. Then the other one I don't
want to road trip is Dylan Stevens because I'll just
lay into him about how bad of a signing is.
Speaker 3 (04:05):
How many years have we got him?
Speaker 6 (04:06):
Again?
Speaker 5 (04:07):
From him, he's recruitment five years.
Speaker 4 (04:12):
Put.
Speaker 6 (04:12):
If we put our recruitment team, I can have a
go with them as well, but I'm not keetting on
Dylan Stevens.
Speaker 5 (04:16):
I'll just be too frustrated because your beloved.
Speaker 7 (04:19):
Yeah, well I'm gonna start with your I do want
in the car with me because that's always a good stuff.
Speaker 3 (04:24):
Yeah, and I'll go Isaac CaCO. It's just fine.
Speaker 7 (04:26):
He's got energy, he's bib and he's the he's the
new fan boy of the group face. So he will
be in the car with me, and next to me
will be Sammy Draper's.
Speaker 3 (04:37):
I know he's a bit bigger and he takes up
a bit.
Speaker 7 (04:38):
More room, but his vibes are strong. He could drive
his hair sways. I want him there for just being
some vibes, just being himself. I don't want him being
himself driving because that could be done if if he
holds if he holds the sea the same way he
holds a footage, it could be it could be pretty ordinary.
Speaker 5 (04:54):
Oh man, that's that's steering alignment.
Speaker 3 (04:56):
It's not good you and I don't sorry who I
don't want.
Speaker 7 (05:01):
I'm sorry Goldie, uh the older main stage of the club.
Speaker 3 (05:06):
But he's just too big, mate, he's too big.
Speaker 7 (05:08):
And I don't know if you're you're a bit older
I need to be able to can can Goldie stuff.
Speaker 3 (05:15):
Like yeah uh.
Speaker 7 (05:17):
And lastly, in McGrath pitch, I'm sorry, it is purely
just because of your chin.
Speaker 3 (05:23):
It's nothing personal. It is a little bit. I don't
kill me, poke me. I love your pitch, but with respect.
Speaker 5 (05:30):
As he goes to offend him, I'll go.
Speaker 2 (05:33):
Unfortunately, I'll start with whom I don't want on the trip,
Nick Blakey, Like you'd be really annoying.
Speaker 3 (05:41):
Yeah, it could be. It could also be really funny
for a.
Speaker 5 (05:44):
Bit, but it's like it'd be that fine line.
Speaker 3 (05:46):
Like one time funny, two times annoying.
Speaker 2 (05:48):
I don't want to test it. It's like it could
be good for affording minute road trip eight hours.
Speaker 5 (05:52):
No, I don't want it.
Speaker 2 (05:54):
And then secondly, similar to the Goldie cull hate McClean.
Speaker 5 (05:58):
He is a very tall, solid man that is built
of muscles, French.
Speaker 2 (06:02):
He's honestly, he would need a lot of space, like
we would need to take out this front seat so
he could stretch out.
Speaker 5 (06:08):
I've seen him on a plane.
Speaker 6 (06:09):
He had the emergency exit roll and you're still crunched outiculous. Damn.
Speaker 5 (06:14):
Yeah, who i'd want on the plane? Easy one to
start with Tom Papley.
Speaker 3 (06:19):
Some people would be annoying, but you would like I would.
Speaker 5 (06:22):
Because we would talk racing NonStop the whole time.
Speaker 2 (06:25):
We've got quite Elizabeth Day, Day two of the Championships
this weekend Royal around.
Speaker 5 (06:28):
We would dissect all ten races in that road trip
and we would find the winners. You could exactly, of course.
Speaker 3 (06:35):
All you could follow in the winners through punters.
Speaker 2 (06:37):
We will go to punds dot com dot IU and
use you know, the punters predictor and then they don't have
a bet with. And secondly, Erol gold because just like me,
Erol Golden would have watched the Champions League this morning
to see my beloved Arsenal win three nil over Real Madrid.
Now he's a Liverpool man, but he's a massive football
(06:57):
liner because he's a Furner Batch a man in Turkey
as well.
Speaker 5 (07:01):
But if you saw his.
Speaker 2 (07:02):
Instagram in the off season, he went around everywhere to
a bunch of different games. He's a football but we
could talk about that. We could talk about Liverpool. But
talking about Declan Rice's screamers.
Speaker 3 (07:12):
This morning, he's got an Arsenal reference.
Speaker 5 (07:14):
I had to do it.
Speaker 3 (07:15):
I'm I'm actually happy to ask the one because your vibes.
Speaker 6 (07:17):
Are Yeah, Arsenal last you know what meant on the show,
that's the long first.
Speaker 5 (07:23):
Free kick when he my head went to mars the
third one, the second one Land that.
Speaker 3 (07:26):
Was would have had to host the reckon he was
ever a chance.
Speaker 5 (07:30):
Yeah. Now we're on the road to Adelaide.
Speaker 2 (07:33):
As we said, what is the best place to stop
on the way to Adelaide? Marcus, You've done this drive
a lot people in the comments watching one on YouTube
or on the podcast as well.
Speaker 5 (07:41):
You can get in the comments on Spotify.
Speaker 2 (07:42):
Hit us up the best place to stop when you're
going from Melbourne to Adelaide, Marcus.
Speaker 7 (07:47):
No matter what time of the day it is, but
early in the morning it's still dark. Even better because
you can't because you see it. It's scary. It's scary.
People know it's the giant Kolar and go off in
the fairy go visit the giant Koala and you will
have the nightmares.
Speaker 3 (08:04):
It is pretty scary.
Speaker 5 (08:05):
I'm place to stop.
Speaker 3 (08:07):
I think it's just funny.
Speaker 7 (08:08):
Because you need to confront your fears and it'll give
you goose bumps.
Speaker 3 (08:11):
And it's just a it's culture. It's culture is symbol.
There's just big things everywhere in Australia. Is that your
favorite aid is the only big thing? Hey, there we go.
My one is the bakries that.
Speaker 6 (08:24):
Say they're the number one in Australia, the number one
in malvin Then I'm one in the country.
Speaker 5 (08:28):
I have one in Western Victoria.
Speaker 6 (08:30):
I've got all these awards. But I've heard good things
about Keith, just not the not the person. I don't
know anyone named Keith, but the place.
Speaker 3 (08:36):
Well, we'll find out soon. We'll find out.
Speaker 6 (08:39):
So when we get a pie from Keith, and that's
my main place to stop, I love a good country bakery.
Speaker 2 (08:42):
My future mother in law said we have to stop
off the Keith. But I also don't trust those places
and say their number one. I will go on TikTok
and check them out.
Speaker 7 (08:49):
You've got to have low expectations and it'll make the experience.
Speaker 2 (08:53):
I have high expect I expect that it's always going
to be like above average.
Speaker 5 (08:57):
Yeah, if it's anything above that, we're good.
Speaker 3 (08:59):
That's that's more model with us.
Speaker 5 (09:02):
What below everything better?
Speaker 6 (09:03):
Would?
Speaker 5 (09:04):
Yeah?
Speaker 2 (09:04):
That's my favorite. One is quite simple. It's the airport. Wow,
I want to skip Adelaide. I want to go to
Adelaide social goal. Spence's already in Adelaide. She landed at
ten thirty local time. We're meeting the car for four hours.
Speaker 3 (09:22):
We're like a seven hours. Well we have, we have
modeled around a little bit, yeah, and we've been.
Speaker 5 (09:27):
We have, but the airport like flymbing there, it's a one.
Speaker 3 (09:29):
Hourt Actually make good from your fance.
Speaker 5 (09:32):
Yes, thank you to my lovely fiance Steff for making
some muffins. God.
Speaker 2 (09:36):
Finally, before we get to Jacobcardi and the interview ahead
of their big game against the Kilda this weekend, of
course and kill a Sunday. Nor would gather around kids
because we have a lot of kids that have come
out for gathering around this year. A lot of teams
really getting into it because they can sell more merch.
Speaker 5 (09:50):
You can make money.
Speaker 2 (09:51):
If you designed a few of these as well and
made them into like shirts like think of it, you
would make so much more money. You'll make it of
money selling these one off singles, but make them into
a shirt like a training single, a training shirt.
Speaker 3 (10:06):
People don't want to wear gernsies.
Speaker 2 (10:08):
We talk about why don't we see people wearing AFL
stuff out about in the public. No one wants to
wear a single you wear a shirt if we had,
if we had that design like a training shirt or
something that you could wear the games, people would wear.
Speaker 5 (10:20):
Them every week.
Speaker 2 (10:21):
If we see EPL fans, NFL fans, hockey fans, that's
what they do.
Speaker 3 (10:25):
Well, we'll be wearing AFL Today's shirts for a week.
Speaker 6 (10:28):
So yeah, check us out if if you're roaming around
any of the grounds and we doing interviews with also
all nine.
Speaker 5 (10:36):
So anyway, my long way of saying that is which
one is the best kid.
Speaker 3 (10:38):
Best gathering kit you can get us?
Speaker 7 (10:40):
I know the obvious one you're going to say, But
to be a little bit different, I'm going to go
Adelaide's Kid Dark kit.
Speaker 3 (10:46):
It's it's the darkest sort of one.
Speaker 7 (10:48):
The colors work well, but I feel like if you
go into a nightclub, it would be like flural, like.
Speaker 3 (10:56):
Yeah, I like that, Yeah, on the ball, on the ball,
there we go. I'm going to go.
Speaker 6 (11:03):
It was like, I really like the Sydney one. I know,
you like it's just clean. A lot of people think
it's very plain, but it's a.
Speaker 3 (11:09):
Lot of hugest fan of it.
Speaker 2 (11:10):
But it's also for a good cause, like the You
can say you don't like the design, that's fine.
Speaker 5 (11:17):
They are doing it for a good cause. It is.
Speaker 2 (11:19):
It is for Lifeline, so people if you can go
and donate your blood and plasma, that's what this one
are trying to do it for because they are in
a shortage around Australia and one bag of plasma can
say three lives.
Speaker 3 (11:28):
Oh bag, that's very good. Yeah, what's thedo? Other one
would be the Eagles one.
Speaker 6 (11:34):
I know.
Speaker 5 (11:34):
That's what I love.
Speaker 6 (11:36):
The big old Eagles logo with the big it looks
to be like a seagull, but that's okay. I think
the colors are really vibrant and they'll just stand out.
Speaker 5 (11:42):
The horse can't wear there's stealth on this year.
Speaker 3 (11:44):
Unfortunately, it will still look good if they lose one
hundred points. Yeah, I actually know. They playing Culton every month.
Speaker 6 (11:51):
The maximum lose by is like twenty because Carlton, we'll
get up by one hundred and not to go quite obviously.
Speaker 2 (11:56):
The best one's coast the pink the Miami Vice. Make
it your home kick every week.
Speaker 5 (12:02):
There is no clash with any team in the league.
Wear it every week.
Speaker 3 (12:05):
Yeah, that's so cool.
Speaker 5 (12:07):
Also last week's kick clash between Ports and Killer.
Speaker 3 (12:10):
Yeah, the old school power kit with.
Speaker 2 (12:12):
The All right, with that being said, let's go hang
out with Jack Riccardi from GWS. All right ahead of
gather Around of the big game against Sint Kilda this weekend,
fresh offer, well, pretty crazy win on Sunday against West Coast,
Jake Riccardi joins us kid.
Speaker 4 (12:27):
Jake, Hey, boys, thanks for having me.
Speaker 5 (12:29):
My first question.
Speaker 1 (12:30):
I'm just going to get it out of the way
right now.
Speaker 2 (12:31):
What does the GW West Giants have to do to
play Adelaide overal and gather Around.
Speaker 8 (12:35):
Yeah, at the moment we've gone Norwood into Mount Barker
back to Norwood, so obviously they don't want us on
the prime time slot.
Speaker 6 (12:42):
Yeah, they're not getting the big teams. Yeah, the best
teams aren't playing there. I don't understand that.
Speaker 8 (12:47):
I was thinking about it the other day that maybe
look would be hard because you've got the fixture involved
after him before, but a floating picture for Gatherund to
get potentially line up a few games earlier out of
the season. You thought us and Hawthorne were going to
two really good sides. Have us in there and then bang,
all of a sudden, we're both undefeated at the time.
Put us Friday night at Adelade over. But yeah we'll
be out of Norwood. No complaint about that either.
Speaker 5 (13:09):
That was good.
Speaker 1 (13:09):
Yeah, nice, Yeah, I don't mind it.
Speaker 2 (13:11):
I'm all about like promotion relegation, Like if you lose
at the Adelade earlier, you're bumped to Norwood or the
Barossa and if you win, you move your way up
in the world. Like North Melbourne stats, guys, team lost
at nor wouldn't they have been bumped at the bar
should be bumped even further?
Speaker 5 (13:26):
That's a story.
Speaker 2 (13:28):
But yeah, even a quick fix like you know, Carlton
and West Coast just could easily swat with you and some.
Speaker 1 (13:32):
Kilda they can go to norwould you play the Adelaide
Oval sad day.
Speaker 8 (13:35):
Avo And like I said, because obviously sat Kilda in
great form too, so it'd be a great game for
people to get along too.
Speaker 1 (13:41):
Absolutely.
Speaker 2 (13:42):
Yeah, so coming off the weekend that was your first
game of the season, kicked a goal, had sixteen touches,
it was a good win and just kept the momentum
rolling from the start of the season.
Speaker 4 (13:52):
Yeah.
Speaker 8 (13:52):
Absolutely, I think King is big message before the game
was need to respond after a loss to Hawthorne. Even
though it wasn't a bad performance against the Hawk boy
An he means, it was just that, you know, they
got the win and they're a really good outfit, so
a big win and not not necessarily a big win,
but the real solid Giants like performance against West Coast
was what we needed.
Speaker 4 (14:11):
And I think in the first twenty minutes you could
really see.
Speaker 8 (14:13):
That, well the hunt was there, We're planning with some
really good footy earlier, which really set us up for
a big win.
Speaker 4 (14:19):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (14:20):
Absolutely.
Speaker 6 (14:21):
Were you just in awe of Jesse Hogan the starter
obviously nine time nine goals zero and then where were
you when he was having his shot for the tenth?
Were you're ready to jump on him and then he's
actual he's shanked it. Well, you're keen to jump around him,
get around from I get.
Speaker 4 (14:32):
Sent to the goal line mate, that's usually my role
of course. Yeah, Yeah, he's when the Jesse shows on,
you get out of the way and you still let
him get to work. So he's hoping to.
Speaker 8 (14:41):
Get there, but he passed off a few that he
probably could have banked.
Speaker 4 (14:45):
It end up getting him to tend so he's got
to stop doing that. I told him after the game,
I'm sick of these nine bags.
Speaker 8 (14:51):
Yeah, yeah, good, he's honestly, he's he's just his hands
are just unbelievable. The amount of times you're looking and
you're going, if this is anyone else, he's not going
to market, but you just know that they're safe.
Speaker 4 (15:03):
So yeah, he's just it's phenomenal what he does.
Speaker 6 (15:05):
Yeah, it's awesome. You don't get any big bags anymore.
So I'm glad Jesse's holding that mantle there.
Speaker 2 (15:10):
I'm pro power forwards and I'm pro power forwards having
a set up every time they kick a goal. How
does it feel knowing that, even if it is a
Titan tense game, which wasn't on the weekend, but knowing
when he's having a set shot, you can likely just
write it down in the books that it's going to
be a goal.
Speaker 4 (15:24):
Oh it's so great. I know all our backs in
Mirfield is very grateful with him that.
Speaker 8 (15:28):
You know he's a great set shot, but like you said,
nine times out of tennis kicking goals, so you just
know when the work's done for us to get it
to him. He's obviously going to deliver, So yeah, it's fantastic, awesome.
Speaker 2 (15:40):
So moving to Kilder this weekend, obviously norwards it is
a different ground with the straight line boundary line up
on the wings. How do you sort of prepare for
what is one of the most different grounds that you'll
play on all year.
Speaker 8 (15:53):
Yeah, well, you think it's a weird one because I remember,
I think two years ago we played against Hawthorne and
we're both at the time, funnily enough, not going great
either of us, but it was a really high pressure game.
And I think that's because, like you said, the grounds
obviously a lot smaller. It just invites any groundble or
fumble and all of a sudden you're probably in a
chain of some high pressure contest. And I think the
(16:14):
way that we play it probably suits that we like
high pressure games and the live ball stuff, So I
think for us it could suit our game style. But
in terms of preparation, yeah, you'd think that. Throughout the
week we're starting to plan how we're going to deal
with pressure, how to bring it in ourselves and all
that type of thing, and just working around the ground
because like I said, it is a unique oval, a
(16:35):
lot smaller than others.
Speaker 2 (16:36):
Do you set up like your training ground with like
some maybe some cones for what the boundary line would
be on the wing, so you're not like drifting out
a bit wider than you usually would, so at least
do that sort of you're not full and prepared because
you've only played there once, but it's like just intrinsically
you sort of have an idea at least.
Speaker 8 (16:51):
Yeah, I've always thought that, and I think that's got
We don't do that or haven't done that before, And
to be honest, we've only played more with the one time.
But you could imagine quite easily this weekend. It's a
decision that Kings makes to go, let's replicate something of somewhat.
He's always got a couple of things up his sleeve
to make us really prepared for the weekend. So that
is definitely something you.
Speaker 4 (17:09):
Might look at. Yeah, yeah, just a such a different setup.
Speaker 6 (17:13):
Yeah, are you hanging around Adelaide all over the weekend
every time we're going this year around last year and
you see random a and fil players pop up every
now and then, I will you be hanging around after
the game or.
Speaker 4 (17:23):
Well, I think we're flying on Friday?
Speaker 8 (17:25):
Okay, we'll have two days around. But like you said,
it's funny because you'll go out and you go get
a coffee, you'll go get some lunch. Yeah, it's crazy
a player here or there. I think that's the best
part about it for like fans and all the media
and all the players, is that, yes, it's great to
go watch everyone play, but also you could just be
hanging around a city. You know, you're going to see
different players from different teams, different states. You know, it's
(17:46):
just great.
Speaker 2 (17:47):
So yeah, yeah, I think that's the one thing I
noticed Lash, and I'll ask you about that is just
like everyone's around. It's just everyone's so happy to be there.
Is it that it's kind of relaxing that at least
you can sort of hang around and just sort of
go about your normal day. And fans, Oh, there's the players,
but they're not sort of they nine times out of
ten won't bother you.
Speaker 1 (18:04):
They might say get a or good luck. But is
it just is it nice to have that.
Speaker 2 (18:08):
I suppose being in Sydney you are sort of relatively
anonymous compared to the NRL players.
Speaker 4 (18:13):
Oh yeah, definitely. In Sydney.
Speaker 8 (18:14):
I mean you just see the difference between guys that
when you go to Melbourne and then compared to just
beIN around here, you just walk around low with just
everyone else, and then the NRL players will go out
and out or go to breakfast and these NERL players
walk in. It's like, you know, Jesus Christ return from me.
They love it up here, they love the boys.
Speaker 4 (18:34):
But yeah, that's that. I think that element to gather
on too.
Speaker 8 (18:36):
It's like, well, because it all players around there, not
every fan is going to go sprint it up in
the FI with everyone. You just kind of acknowledge it
and it becomes normal to see run around, which is nice.
Speaker 4 (18:45):
And it is almost Sydney like the way the tray up,
which is good too.
Speaker 1 (18:49):
It is going back.
Speaker 6 (18:50):
But even before AFL, we we've done a bit of research.
But obviously you played it where we are on your
way up. What what makes that a perfect pathway pathway
to AFL Because they're just churning the players and getting
some absolute guns like yourself, like Shorty manor even Riley
bis on the Weekend Player.
Speaker 1 (19:06):
So there's a few guys coming out of there.
Speaker 4 (19:08):
He's got too short.
Speaker 8 (19:10):
What's going on down there with the water and wherever
you But Yeah, just go there and everything just figured
out for you. So because anyone that's half a chance
of getting picked up maybe miss out when the eighteen nineteen,
just go down there and you'll end up on a
list and end up being a player like you said
Roley Bison and all we can he was unbelievable.
Speaker 4 (19:26):
Wasn't his kids amazing? There's been a lot that have
gone down there.
Speaker 8 (19:30):
I think, well, I was there when Chucko Williams was
head coach, so he was great for me, and I
think great a few others, and he I feel like
he set the standards for where he's a club to
begin with and really drove that and added his little part.
But then for now, I mean he's been going for
four or five years now and you just see the
next Yeah, just come in and he's just done.
Speaker 4 (19:51):
Just as well.
Speaker 8 (19:52):
And my assistant coach, Nick Dafew you play at Richmond,
I think he's still down there too. He's a great
coach and it's just a good club. I think it
would men like Mark Peluna. He's just a real store
down there, and he sets the standard of himself for
the years of company seeing what it takes now especially
so I can only imagine it's go to keep getting
better and better.
Speaker 2 (20:10):
Now for some of the fun stuff. So we're driving
across to Adelaide on Wednesday morning. So this show that
it goes out on Wednesday, So we are doing the
show from the car on Wednesday. Who are the two
teammates you don't want on a ten hour road trip
with you? And who are the two teammates you definitely
want to go on that car?
Speaker 4 (20:27):
Tree were This might take a bit of thinking.
Speaker 9 (20:29):
I think definitely want with me. I'll take jeez, we.
Speaker 2 (20:40):
Could go with who you don't want first, because throwing
people over the bus is always funny.
Speaker 5 (20:45):
He's got too many racing around his head.
Speaker 8 (20:46):
Yeah, I'm just trying to think of the purpose of
the drive, Like do I want someone who's going to
be talking a lot or is that going to be
a bit annoying.
Speaker 4 (20:57):
I'll take first pick.
Speaker 2 (21:05):
Because it's like I look at it like Tom Green
could be great but could also be annoying.
Speaker 4 (21:09):
Yeah, yeah, I'll live with Tom. I've had enough of him.
He's not coming with me. That's great.
Speaker 3 (21:16):
There's one that's not coming with it.
Speaker 5 (21:17):
Yeah, yeah, I'll.
Speaker 4 (21:18):
Get enough of him. He's good. But the thing is
with him.
Speaker 8 (21:21):
We have a lot of discussion slash arguments at home
and although that's they can get not heated but very
we can get really get into him. I actually want
to enjoy that a bit can make time pass and stuff.
So the one that I thought about, and I thought,
do I take him John, but will make him he's
not part of the trip.
Speaker 4 (21:37):
I won't be taking Tom. I'll bring Connor Riden.
Speaker 8 (21:40):
He's always got good and made and we'll have a
good chat and then I just feel like we'll both
get the sense when we're talking a bit much many
bit the quiet time, we can really bounce off each
other in that aspect.
Speaker 4 (21:52):
I'll bring Brent Daniels as well. He can come.
Speaker 8 (21:56):
He's another one with mate. He's pretty good on the pants.
We might get a few tips on the way up there.
Speaker 4 (22:03):
Chucked at you.
Speaker 5 (22:04):
That's fine. We could say that we'll.
Speaker 4 (22:07):
Go tyber Green because he's terrible on the punt.
Speaker 2 (22:10):
Yea quite Elizabeth Fields have just come out, so we've
got to find a way there somewhere, honestly. And then
because we'll be doing this as well road trip like
treat like what food, what snack are you going after
you're going after a bunch of chips lollies?
Speaker 1 (22:25):
Are you going after like a vanilla slice?
Speaker 4 (22:29):
I think I'm not.
Speaker 8 (22:30):
I'm not a massive log I like lollies, but I
could live with Adam. Were some a nice treat like
a good vanilla slice or brown of a bakery on
that way, and if there's a maca Is on the
way through, I'll be popping through all day.
Speaker 4 (22:43):
Love.
Speaker 6 (22:44):
Yeah, I wanted to ask this because I can't have
this interview without asking. We were at the training when
I show Speed was there?
Speaker 8 (22:51):
Obviously I wasn't. I was in Melbourne actually, because that
told you we weren't. We were actually back at the yet,
that's right. Yeah, it was ten days before we had
to be back, so I was still in Melbourne, yep.
Speaker 4 (23:03):
And specially got send out a week beforehand.
Speaker 8 (23:05):
So boys, Speed's coming down and I was like, if
you got things on that weekend, I just couldn't get
get up to Sydney. But I watched the whole zoom
and I've got the report afterwards. The apparently the boy
said it was there, his names and in the world,
the fact that he just popped in. Yeah, and he's
raising Darcy Jones and Callum Brown.
Speaker 1 (23:24):
Yeah, driving a tank in China.
Speaker 3 (23:27):
He's crazy.
Speaker 1 (23:28):
What was your opinion on the Darcy Jones race?
Speaker 3 (23:30):
Actually the reckoning he drenking Darcy.
Speaker 4 (23:33):
Jones, you definitely won.
Speaker 1 (23:34):
There we go one.
Speaker 4 (23:36):
I think it was.
Speaker 8 (23:37):
I think it was a bit more shocked because he's
done that before. He's raised a lot of guys and
beating them.
Speaker 4 (23:41):
Yeah. The only guy I hadn't bet was maybe Noel Les. Yeah, sprinter.
So when he got rolled by this Australian guy on
a random Friday.
Speaker 5 (23:50):
Who is his.
Speaker 6 (23:52):
Yeah one dynamics, Yeah exactly. So Darcy Jones is faster
than no Life.
Speaker 2 (24:00):
That's so Darcy Jones should raise gout out is what
you're saying.
Speaker 4 (24:05):
He would put the idiot put win one.
Speaker 2 (24:10):
I think that's a perfect way to end it. He'll
put win burn or gout gout big. Thanks to Jake Riccardi.
Good luck this weekend against the Kilda Thanks.
Speaker 4 (24:17):
Mate, nice boys, appreciate it.
Speaker 5 (24:18):
Cheers. A nice game is going to be epic.
Speaker 2 (24:21):
Missed by one on the af L. With TAB, you
can stay in the game missed by one on any
disposal's leg and TAB will still pay you out as
a winner.
Speaker 1 (24:30):
TAB where on imagine what you could be buying instead.
Speaker 2 (24:34):
All right, welcome back to ANFL today. Happen with Jake Riccardi.
I understood it.
Speaker 5 (24:38):
Great vibes, great hair.
Speaker 3 (24:39):
We had a good hangar, say Burdens legend as well.
You two.
Speaker 6 (24:43):
You two are holding each other's hands and we kids
going up to the Siglok one so happy.
Speaker 5 (24:49):
Yeah, all right, midweek winner and loser of the week.
Let's just start off with the winners. Everyone's going to
Adelaide us we're winners.
Speaker 2 (24:58):
But it's also you're thinking about like we went last
year and I came back saying to everyone, I was like,
everyone needs to go to gather and if you're a
footy fan, because everyone converges on Adelaide, everything so close
together and even if your team loses, everyone's in a
good movie.
Speaker 5 (25:11):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (25:13):
I walked into a pub.
Speaker 6 (25:14):
After a game and there's people singing the North song
because I was like the rad North fan that walked in.
You walk into a restaurant, a bar, a club, and
everyone's you see players everywhere, you can get photos, you
can so many activations.
Speaker 2 (25:25):
As I bumped into Tom Stewarton and a deaconing at
a cafe, very full.
Speaker 6 (25:30):
If you're outing. Tyson Stingley loved the session.
Speaker 5 (25:35):
Last year.
Speaker 2 (25:37):
I saw a few of the Swans boys enjoying a
nice wine because they won their game last year and
they were on the by after that.
Speaker 5 (25:46):
You are going to like you meant to. It's funny
of your assignment this week. Also the winners in Adelaide,
the pubs, the clubs, the cafe is, the bars, the
restaurantsism Adelaide.
Speaker 3 (26:00):
That'll be raund Adelaide hospitality is the clear winner.
Speaker 6 (26:03):
Yeah, that'll be that'll be making a lot of money.
And it's actually really good that the vibes and the
pubs are just.
Speaker 5 (26:08):
If you want to go, it's really good. A good
steak out of Hunters.
Speaker 6 (26:11):
And the Hunters and the twenty four hour bakery that
I only just learned about very recently.
Speaker 3 (26:15):
Yeah about I'm keen on like a pastriot and after yeah.
Speaker 5 (26:23):
I want to pastry getting a super.
Speaker 3 (26:25):
Oh yeah super? Do know if the bakery was sold those?
Speaker 2 (26:27):
Yeah, I'm going to find the twenty four hour at
BAP Joints. Also best coffee adela elem Entry thirty. I've
got a spreadsheet twenty.
Speaker 7 (26:37):
Four seven or twenty seven twenty four seven k c
and Finley Street as well.
Speaker 5 (26:41):
I think.
Speaker 2 (26:44):
I'm going to be rolling onto the plane with right,
gonna do the losers as well, of course.
Speaker 5 (26:49):
Bestly Jack Higgins like not in the hours. I don't
think he's a winner, but you know, because he's got
to hang out in Adela.
Speaker 3 (26:56):
He's gonna hang on a play video game.
Speaker 5 (26:57):
He's looking at every fifteen year old boy's dream. He's
playing Call of Judy Your Week.
Speaker 3 (27:01):
I know he's having a good time. He pretty much
is a fifteen year old's he been a billion minutes
per second or something like that.
Speaker 6 (27:08):
He said, uh yeah, obviously he said he's not that
keen on staying around in Adaway, but oh well, he's
love at the Saints.
Speaker 4 (27:15):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (27:16):
I love It's very funny that we're like, we want
players to show more personality in the media.
Speaker 5 (27:20):
Is like, no personality.
Speaker 6 (27:22):
I love his personality. He just says whatever comes to
his head. He's got no filter, and he's never saying
it with like mallows. He just said it.
Speaker 3 (27:29):
Everyone's just being a bunch of wet wipse.
Speaker 2 (27:31):
Yeah, they just need to come the film anything Police
cold luck. He shows Jordan Goalie they're the losers this week,
not from whatever they've done.
Speaker 5 (27:41):
But they're just for Collingwood fans.
Speaker 6 (27:43):
Shout for shoot A Shultz has Literally he was the
best player last week, got best on ground ye the middle,
on the middle and he was taking marks and the
wet he.
Speaker 5 (27:52):
Was was making that train look like a good deal.
Speaker 6 (27:55):
Yeah, he's been really good to go. Yeah, I'm not
saying that's a massive out because he hasn't been in
Yeah and go.
Speaker 5 (28:00):
He's on good luck him.
Speaker 3 (28:02):
So that probably just takes away about about three goals.
So players like Bobby Hills all the ones. Bobby Hill
needs to step up. He should be getting a least
two goals game. But he's very good the preseason. Yeah,
a little bit underwhelming so far to start the camp.
Speaker 5 (28:16):
His standards, Yeah, Will Dave.
Speaker 2 (28:19):
So this one's more for Hawthorne fans because they're just
crying into their will day out.
Speaker 5 (28:24):
Four months he's having a he's got a stress fracture.
Speaker 2 (28:26):
He's having surgery vicularm bone, the.
Speaker 3 (28:30):
Stress fracture in the foot.
Speaker 5 (28:32):
That's bad, simple terms.
Speaker 3 (28:34):
Four months. But yeah, he's literally their most important player.
I don't think it will affect.
Speaker 2 (28:38):
Him too much because your season, because it's sixteen weeks
when you think about it.
Speaker 3 (28:42):
That is really good.
Speaker 6 (28:43):
They've got newcome, they've got Housway Kiln in the ban fire,
they've got Cam McKenzie's.
Speaker 3 (28:46):
On the step up. Yeah, I think yeah, you're saying
even super coach Cam McKenzie. I think eighty nine. Yeah,
for a bit more midfield minutes. He's been in the
system long enough now.
Speaker 6 (28:55):
Yeah, so that will be okay and he'll probably come
back yeah later What did.
Speaker 3 (29:01):
They say around fifteen? It was the one of the
updates I saw. But it might later if I.
Speaker 5 (29:05):
Can get him back ten weeks away.
Speaker 3 (29:07):
Yeah, if they get him back in before for the finals, possibly.
Speaker 5 (29:11):
Just getting try and getting ready for the finals.
Speaker 3 (29:12):
Yea.
Speaker 2 (29:13):
And Sint Kilda know that it's really a massive issue
because they've been good without him. That Max Kings had
a set back in his very and he's going to
be out for a little while.
Speaker 5 (29:20):
Long ago.
Speaker 3 (29:20):
He's got a big contract, doesn't he.
Speaker 5 (29:22):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (29:22):
Why did he get a contract extension against in Kilda?
Speaker 5 (29:25):
Why he was contracted Toil the end of next year?
He did it need an extension?
Speaker 6 (29:29):
Maybe they thought they were signing his brother Ben who
pretty much ate him in his monstop So maybe they
thought that.
Speaker 3 (29:35):
Giving him extension after extension is not a good side
when you're talking.
Speaker 7 (29:38):
Told Jordan Ridley, it keeps getting recurring injuries just for
tall players.
Speaker 3 (29:42):
It's more of an issue.
Speaker 2 (29:44):
Yeah, yeah, it's no idea and finally just a year
now and we're not going to go too deep into it,
but a year nor because it's in the news, it's
very topical.
Speaker 5 (29:52):
Yeah, should no Bolt to be playing football this weekend?
Speaker 6 (29:56):
I think we're all big I think that footy players
away with things a little bit too much, and no
matter what's going on on the off field, you've got
to take some things into account and go, Look, it's
not a good look for our club.
Speaker 3 (30:09):
As a fan, you don't really want a barrack for
someone like that.
Speaker 6 (30:11):
Similar thing when I was a North fan obviously backing
for Taron Thomas.
Speaker 4 (30:15):
You can't.
Speaker 5 (30:16):
I didn't want to do that.
Speaker 4 (30:17):
I don't know.
Speaker 3 (30:17):
It's a bit awkward.
Speaker 7 (30:18):
I think we're not condoning it on the field and
it just this sort of step just seems like it's
pretty easy to condone it off the field.
Speaker 2 (30:25):
Where a society do not need that a part of
anything in life, and it's something that it's it's cowardly
and he's pled guilty.
Speaker 5 (30:34):
He's gonna have his day in court.
Speaker 2 (30:35):
And I don't think he should be playing footy until
there's either you know whatever, the beat, community service, oile
time or whatever.
Speaker 5 (30:42):
He should not be playing football do.
Speaker 7 (30:43):
Or can the outside footy world hate on Richmond for
picking him despite him being available for selection.
Speaker 5 (30:49):
It's other thing.
Speaker 3 (30:50):
He's available for selection and he's not jall or anything.
Speaker 6 (30:54):
You pick your best players and you pick guys that
you've signed for an awkward one.
Speaker 2 (30:58):
We said the suspension it was a posed on him
by Richard. I want to be let's just read the room.
Speaker 3 (31:03):
Yeah, read the room.
Speaker 2 (31:04):
Yeah, Thursday night, Buddy and gaal Red, let's go.
Speaker 5 (31:08):
We're going to be their stats guy. Of course.
Speaker 2 (31:10):
Tomorrow night Adelaide and Geelong seven forty pm Australian Eastern
Standard time, seven to ten.
Speaker 5 (31:15):
If you're an Adelaide that we are well four tips
got up last week.
Speaker 6 (31:18):
Yeah, so we went the unders, we went was it
Collingwood at the line?
Speaker 3 (31:24):
And then I had a player multi of MAXI home so.
Speaker 6 (31:27):
No not Max Holmes Crisp and both twenty plus and perfect.
Speaker 5 (31:32):
That we're got us go.
Speaker 2 (31:33):
So Adelaide a dollar fifty eight, Geelong two dollars forty.
That is the head to head market. Of course, Adelaide
are going to go in favorites a lot on this,
Michael will probably dependifiz that ranking gets named to.
Speaker 4 (31:42):
Play or that.
Speaker 6 (31:43):
I think adelaib will still going favorites because their forward
line is like the main.
Speaker 2 (31:46):
Maybe a dollar seventy dollars seventy five if ranking doesn't
play out.
Speaker 6 (31:49):
Yeah, so I'd be jumping on if you think Gelong'm
going to be maybe you jump on our before the
teams possibly, but I think adel leave well going favorites.
Speaker 5 (31:56):
They look a lot better than long.
Speaker 2 (31:57):
So that's like what we've seeing later this week. Obviously
you'll talk it out it more tomorrow night. But the
Frinday night game Sydney and Collingwood side two dollars forty
at the start of the week.
Speaker 5 (32:06):
I think they're gonna about two dollars fifteen.
Speaker 3 (32:08):
Now, how do you jumping on that?
Speaker 5 (32:09):
The underdogs?
Speaker 6 (32:12):
Yeah?
Speaker 5 (32:12):
Of course, what are your bets this week? Stat's gonna
give us some stats.
Speaker 3 (32:15):
We'll go We'll go to the under first ball and
the total points.
Speaker 6 (32:18):
I'm going under one hundred and eighty one and a
half total points. That's one of the biggest overrunners of
the year other than that one Adelaide have.
Speaker 2 (32:25):
That was the same over under last I'm having a
real game nightmare after taking me over in Adelaide.
Speaker 5 (32:31):
No, it hit one hundred and eighty one.
Speaker 3 (32:33):
Ah, so the half a point that's very unlucky.
Speaker 6 (32:35):
I'm going the under here at a dollar nine and
that's my best bet in this one. Really strong offenses.
I think it's the number one and number one four offense.
But I'm really strong on Gelong's defense, the fourth first defense,
and their forward line isn't going that well. They've got
a few out of form players, a few guys only
hitting the kicking goals later in the in the game.
And yeah, I think Adelaide are going to do really
(32:55):
well in this one. And their defense has been underrated.
You've got a few guys down there they're going well.
Speaker 5 (33:00):
You got back there to.
Speaker 6 (33:02):
Stewart as well as John. I'm leading towards the defenses.
Even Adelaide's offense going really strong. I think I think
that Adelaie can get ninety points, but I don't think
long cans.
Speaker 3 (33:12):
I'm under one hundred and eighty one.
Speaker 5 (33:13):
Half and give us a bet.
Speaker 6 (33:15):
The bet a Danger looked back to his best last week.
He's been playing pretty much seventy well against the D's,
but I don't mind.
Speaker 3 (33:22):
At the category they didn't look too good, but Danger
lifted them as a team.
Speaker 6 (33:25):
So Patrick Danesfield two plus goals at two dollars thirty.
I think that's really good value. So that's seven goals
in four games so far this year. Usually think he
kicks eight goals the season, the last the last four.
But he's playing seventy percent of his game time forward yep,
and you get two plus. I thought that was really
good to kick two last game and two a couple
of weeks ago as well, So two plus.
Speaker 2 (33:42):
So I usually don't have a bet in this. I
just give a viber thought, this is a big bet.
Let's go thriller to make gather around his own five
goals on Thursday night for the thriller against this Geelong
defense that that can be a little bit leaky.
Speaker 5 (33:55):
Sink Kilda put a score on them.
Speaker 2 (33:56):
Thriller in the best offense in the competition, will five girls.
You can get twelve bucks with our friends at Tad's
value piece. He kicked what he kicked four or five
last week five goals to last week, probably could have
had a few more. He's going to get a few
more looks this week because I think this Geelong team
is a little bit weaker than Gold Coast, and you're
also playing out home, big crowd, gather around everyone on
(34:17):
the hill. Myself included going nuts with thriller. We can
do a bit of the Michael Jackson threeller twelve back.
Speaker 5 (34:25):
To kick five on a Thursday night.
Speaker 2 (34:27):
You know, we'll take a quick break, get Marcus back
and get his tips and margin for Thursday night.
Speaker 1 (34:32):
Imagine what you could be buying instead.
Speaker 2 (34:34):
Right, we've done a Thursday night previous stats guy with
welcome Marcus back in hold on.
Speaker 5 (34:43):
He's he explicedly, came out of nowhere.
Speaker 3 (34:47):
We're getting a kangaroo as we go past.
Speaker 2 (34:50):
All right, tips and margin for Thursday night. And I
and Gelong Marcus, I just think.
Speaker 7 (34:56):
I leaving their kid first first Thursday night, on first
altogether around under the lights Adelaide over which the atmosphere
is going to be great, and I just think they
ride that wave and they win by four goals.
Speaker 5 (35:08):
Four goals, that's there.
Speaker 3 (35:09):
Yeah, I don't mind that. The crime I'm going the
Chrome by about ten points. I think it's gonna be
really close.
Speaker 6 (35:14):
Geelong have the fourth best defense in the cove mentioned
that before.
Speaker 5 (35:17):
You also to mention Jack Henry's not playing.
Speaker 6 (35:19):
Jack Henry is not playing, but they still defense. You've
got color at Connor Sullivan. He's been absolutely tearing up
down there. But Adelaide, their four line is obviously really strong.
I think they can score ninety plus points. But I
don't think Gelong happened in him.
Speaker 3 (35:30):
That Jess has a bit out of forms, been playing
in the back pocket. Stengele can only score junk time goals.
Speaker 2 (35:35):
Sot A bit rich coming from someone who sports nic
larky last week.
Speaker 3 (35:43):
I'm not even going to go I don't want to
go there by ten points.
Speaker 5 (35:48):
Adelaide by six girls.
Speaker 2 (35:50):
Four line power is there, the midfield is there, even
without ranking, just Fog and Thriller, just Strutt.
Speaker 3 (35:58):
Yeah, it's all gonna let loose. It's gonna be, yeah,
a long day even.
Speaker 5 (36:05):
