and outside information about AFL as well, which you love
to see. All right, prelium final previews. This is what

(01:41):
we all want to talk about, lads. Friday night, they're
both at the MCG, which is what we love to
see as well. Friday night, seven forty at the MCG
is Geelong versus Hawthorne. Before we get into it. I've
got a little bit sneaky stat for Geelong fans that
they'll actually really really love.

Speaker 2 (01:55):
Here.

Speaker 1 (01:55):
The last three AFIL premiers, So just work with me
here twenty twenty one, twenty two, twenty three. Yeah, actually
I missed twenty four there at the last three premiers
are all in the prelium finals this year. Let's just
start there, okay, which is true. The last time that
happened was two thousand and eight, nineery ten. Those premiers
were all in the prelims those years. In twenty eleven.

Speaker 2 (02:16):
Geelong won the flag in twenty eleven, and they're going
to win the flag this year.

Speaker 3 (02:19):
By that, Okay, I think I'm with I think you
explained that very much at the start. Yeah, well you
did miss a year, but I don't mind that Geelong.

Speaker 2 (02:26):
It doesn't rode well for hawfor no on Friday Night. No,
but we've got an awesome rivaly Gelong Hawthorns. It's a
classic rivalry. And some say prelim finals are better than
the Grand final as well, but it is a classic
say that. Yeah, the Kenneth curse, it's a thing. It's happened.
You wanted him to be quiet in the league. Don't
heard him much on to know he's been caught service good,

(02:48):
stay away, Jeff, And they've there've been some awesome Grand
Final matchups and I feel like it's a September sort
of born rivalry on as well so. But it has
been a decade since these sides met in finals football,
but recently nine years, well, Geelong have dominated. Yeah, Geelong
have done that. Ten years on the couch with you, mate. Yeah.

(03:09):
Gelong has won six of the last seven meetings between
the two sides, and obviously the one on Easter Monday
by seven points. That was a relatively close match, although
Geelong did lead majority of the game. Yeah, they did,
they did. I genuinely think the Hawks can feel good
about this one. I know you're trying to throw to
me there.

Speaker 1 (03:26):
Sorry, they can genuinely feel good about this one. They
won all the major stat lines in that meeting on
Easter Monday.

Speaker 2 (03:31):
Early in the year.

Speaker 1 (03:32):
They won their disposals, inside fifties, clearances, tackles, marks, possessions.
I'm missing a few there. You're a Hawks fanily, I
know you, but you're an idioty. They butchered the footy,
but they had so much of the ball.

Speaker 2 (03:42):
It is a stats guy. Look at it to.

Speaker 3 (03:43):
Go they win the status. I was there.

Speaker 2 (03:46):
I was there too. That is why we got you
to read out that because.

Speaker 3 (03:50):
I'm the Hawks fan. We could not kick to save ourselves.
Cicily was diabolical. He's been great in the back half.
But I don't think we deserve to win that at all,
and I don't think we should feel good on that
match up. We lost the.

Speaker 2 (04:03):
Game both sides. They have come a long way since then.
They are playing some great football and beating the top sides.
Because you've had a hard picture to end the season,
the home and away season plus the start of finals
foot he hasn't been easy. You've played two teams interstate
and better premiers, and one of them being the minor

(04:23):
premiers as well, or you can put a little bit
of an asterisk there, the worst minor Premiers. But it
is when you guys have come up in door die
meetings against the Cats. You have been fantastic in the
previous four. You've actually ended the Cats season in a
door die match in September. But then again we did
mention that was sorry nine years ago for you.

Speaker 3 (04:47):
That week afterwards, do you remember any.

Speaker 2 (04:49):
Of the meetings.

Speaker 3 (04:50):
That was years ago, nine grand five.

Speaker 2 (04:57):
My dad said he saw you there. Yeah, it was
a few bands. It was really nice when you get it.
It was ten he saw he saw his ears from
the other side of the ground.

Speaker 3 (05:12):
As Gary have to kick twenty that day, but the
other ninety kicked with just three stats Guy's head because
the ears were the goal.

Speaker 2 (05:21):
Track. Someone who could kick twenty not quiet, but he
might have twenty thousand disposals, John, and you could because
he has been unstoppable in finals football. And in fact
he averages thirty two disposals, seven and a half clearances
and zero point seven five goals goals? What you get
like a goal again? So you find it funny that
it's like you were such a personalist. He's talking up Hawthorne,

(05:47):
not even being avest. No, no, it wasn't.

Speaker 3 (05:49):
That wasn't. I was saying, it sounds funny to be
like you average zero point seven five goals a game.
What does that mean?

Speaker 2 (05:55):
You know what? I love the Hawthorn fans get into him,
call him a fake Hawthorne in the comments, get into him.
Kicks one goal again, then he doesn't kick a goal
a game.

Speaker 1 (06:04):
Well, no, zero point seventy five obviously out of four finals.
That means how many goals the kick.

Speaker 2 (06:10):
Three?

Speaker 3 (06:11):
Say that was funny, Now let's move on.

Speaker 2 (06:13):
But he's had five.

Speaker 1 (06:14):
He's going for five bogs in a row in finals,
which is pretty incredible.

Speaker 2 (06:18):
That is fantastic And is there any other man you'd
want in your team for finals football who was playing currently?
Obviously they've passed the baton from Hodgy to Dustin Martin.
Now the joy.

Speaker 1 (06:30):
JOI Matthews, Hodge Martin Newcomb. Wow, is a fair way
to go before he gets the Dusties, thank you.

Speaker 2 (06:37):
Before If he can get five from five, that is
going to be a great challenge. But yeah, it is
going to be a bit of an ass because he
will have the best tagging team in the competition paying
his attention to him. And that's whether you've see Mullin
to Newcomb is going to be a lock, isn't I
think so? Really, the question is how do the Hawks

(06:57):
help Newcombe escape that tag?

Speaker 3 (07:00):
Yeah? I think it's it's gonna be the guys around him, right,
But Nash might be occupied and we'll get to that
on another Cat's midfielder. But it's that Nash. It's about warpole.
It's about Josh Ward getting in there putting bumps on it.
Stoppages were a few instances early last week in the
Crow's game where Berry was on him, but new can
first possession clean with it and then from there it's
a it's a subtle bumper, subtle shepherd that can get

(07:22):
Nucan free for the second possession.

Speaker 2 (07:24):
Is it a type of game where you go, you
know what, tell me, Butler, your pressure has been great
in the forward line, but actually we want you to
float in the middle and just be an absolutely pest
to Mullins, maybe just getting like a Darcy Jones just
a little bit. What do you said, Nash to Mullen.

Speaker 1 (07:38):
So it's a tagger on a tagger, but is the
worst but the Irish colliding.

Speaker 2 (07:44):
On the on the flip side, Holmes and Stewart we
talked about Nash obviously just then, but is he likely
to go to Homes.

Speaker 3 (07:51):
Well, I think Nash around stoppages can, but as soon
as it leaves the stoppage, Homes has gone from Nash.
Nash isn't slow, but Holmes is just a nad level
on him.

Speaker 2 (08:00):
Out of the game. It's hard to keep up with
so Stewart as well.

Speaker 1 (08:04):
I think a few teams have actually just sat a
man on him so he doesn't take all the insept marks.
Hawthorne don't have that. Hawthorne don't really have that, so
I don't think they will. So I think Stewart could
have a big game.

Speaker 3 (08:12):
And you did mention Butler he has been pushing high
up the ground towards the midfield as at high half forwards.
I don't mind that idea of him just putting a
block on Marlin or potentially going to homes as well.

Speaker 2 (08:24):
Yeah, that's more. That's more towards stoppage clearances.

Speaker 3 (08:28):
I don't think Hawthorne can go with those Cats mids.

Speaker 2 (08:31):
But I am excited for for a matchups that's going
to be showcased all across the ground, particularly more in
probably Geelong's forward half of the ground because we talked
about Dempsey's being a bit of a cheap Yes, he
likes to hang out the back, and it's that matchup
of a Weddle and Dempsey possibly two of the most
exciting young prospects in the game. It's I know, like

(08:53):
they've got quite a few years of footy under the belt.
Four for Dempsey and how long is the system now?
Around the same? Yeah, around the same. So that's yeah,
it's going to be one of the best match ups
around the ground. So I'm really excited for that one.
What are you looking forward most two in that battle?

Speaker 3 (09:05):
Well, I hope it happens.

Speaker 2 (09:06):
I'd be I'd be sad if just different.

Speaker 3 (09:09):
The Dempsey wing, but on Dempsey they're both athletic, great overhead.
Both love sort of sneaking out the back, Dempsey.

Speaker 2 (09:17):
More so for a goal.

Speaker 3 (09:18):
But we've also seen we all in the second half
push forward when the key forward comes off the ground.
I think it's an awesome matchup.

Speaker 2 (09:26):
And the hair to the hair matchup is going to
be great as well. Who wins the hair match up?

Speaker 3 (09:32):
I think I think was like receiving I was going
to say.

Speaker 2 (09:47):
Listeners for someone we do want to keep an eye
on forge Along, who has a great record against the Hawks.
It's made man, not forward. It's just a cameeron obviously
the pressure is off. It's like he needs about fifteen
more than eleven. I think we'll double more than that.
I think it is about fifteen. But he has a

(10:09):
ya as I mentioned, he has a fantastic record against Hawthorne.
He loves getting scoring shots on the board against the Hawks.
He's had eighteen goals across the last five meetings against Hawthorne,
six goals seven in the previous two. Remember, he missed
a bunch of similar easy chances six seven, thank you,
I just lost all of it. He missed a bunch

(10:30):
on Easter Monday, which he normally kicks. And he has
ten goals thirteen in his previous four meetings, and that's
something that meeting against Hawthorne no four matches, just four
matches in general, which is Yeah, that's which is why
we've talked about. You know, he sort of ruined his
own chances for reaching that ton so inaccuracy has been
an idiot. We're blaming j just I think, well, they're

(10:51):
not blaming, but I think you've got reason. We're never
going to see one hundred goals in yea, so he
needs fifteen. I just double check that, which is not
going to get to That would be very tough.

Speaker 1 (10:59):
He did get seven goals one against the Hawks.

Speaker 2 (11:02):
But yeah, but the Guests, they do have the second
best offense. So if it's not him, then it's going
to be others dripping around with plenty of goals. They
are thirteen different goalkickers against the Lions. But Hawthorne have
only conceded sixty nine points on average across their last
five games, virtually all against finals. Obviously two of them
were agains in finals football.

Speaker 1 (11:24):
The Melbourne the season pretty strong and they did finish it,
but they were like very lackluster in their game moment.

Speaker 2 (11:30):
But they they still they showed up against some opposition. Yes,
so it's good reading for Hawthorne and their defense has
been fantastic obviously battle barrass they continue to shine. Now
this is what they've come, that's what they come to
the Hawthorne Footy Club for the latter stages of September
and heading into their Grand final, they want to book
that ticket. Yes, But the question I want to ask
you boys is we talked about the depth of Geelong,

(11:52):
how many goalkickers they have, but overall for both squads,
I want to ask you who has the more overall
depth in this one and who was the best bottom
four players for both sides. Four I'm going to bring up.

Speaker 1 (12:07):
We'll bait me probably we'll go the most overall depth
first and then I reckon, we do that. So who
do you reckonize the overall depth? John Long have the
most overall depth.

Speaker 2 (12:17):
I think.

Speaker 3 (12:17):
Also if you look at the injury list, geelongs is
slightly better, like they have slightly more available players.

Speaker 2 (12:22):
Yeah, I'll agree with that.

Speaker 1 (12:23):
I think there's a few players, yeah on the injury
this or on there in there twos that can come
in and still do a job.

Speaker 2 (12:27):
But it's so close.

Speaker 1 (12:29):
Like the depth which you're going to read out the
bottom four players of each side, some of those players
I reckon are going to be some good I reckon
he's going to stuff this up.

Speaker 2 (12:37):
To be honest, reading this myself and doing this, it's
hard to pick between the two. But I'm not even
slightly leaning towards talk.

Speaker 3 (12:43):
All right, these are the bottom four players of Hawthorne
and Geelong according to market, according to Mark, according to me.

Speaker 2 (12:48):
So that's you know what these are the bottom letting
let us know in the comments if you agree with
this list, get into Leo and then leave a comment
for Geelong. I'm going to go bows. Yeah, okay, I
agree with that. Joy Clark, who's been the sub Gian Clark.

Speaker 3 (13:04):
He was ninety seconds the ultra marathon man.

Speaker 2 (13:08):
People can do well in ninety seconds. Speak for yourself.
That is true. That is true. I know he's not
in the side for his bull use and his and
his ball ability, but I was going to throw Mullen
in there.

Speaker 1 (13:20):
I was.

Speaker 2 (13:21):
I don't mind that because a tagger and this one
feels a little bit harsh. But again he's been in
and other side so far at the start of the year.
Mark O'Connor, Yeah, you know, I mark the shark. That
is the bottom four for Geelong.

Speaker 3 (13:34):
Let us know the Mullen in.

Speaker 2 (13:38):
So Mullen joy Clark bows and is there anywhere else.

Speaker 3 (13:40):
You're considering that seems racist?

Speaker 2 (13:42):
He's put two Iris players in there. Not really really
not really. There was more clear for Geelong than it
was a Hawthorne for me. So let us know your
bottom If you're a Gelong fan, who's your bottom four players?

Speaker 3 (13:53):
That's a good bottom four.

Speaker 2 (13:54):
Yeah, that's a good bottom four because they do say
bottom four bottom six order players define pre and that's
a premiership squad.

Speaker 3 (14:01):
So sorry, it was Bow's Clark, O'Connor and Mullen correct.
So apart from Clark is the sub those three if
they're bottom four they're all role players who do more
than enough every week. They don't need to light up
the stat sheet.

Speaker 2 (14:13):
I think that's actually a really good but you do
have a couple of role players here for Hawthorne, which
I'm going to read out as well, ce J who's
been the sub Connor Ash just purely because of his
footballing ability. I can't kick a football to save his
life him.

Speaker 1 (14:29):
If you look at bottom, very irishman, by the way,
normally normally normally, normally, normally.

Speaker 2 (14:36):
They're great picks, they're great kicks, go and keep going.
Iris is actually m review that one. Butler, Yeah, yeah,
fair enough. Look he's been a great role playing, great
thround finals, fantastic player. But stacked. They got stacked team.
So I'm not saying these players are crap, all right.

(14:56):
I just want to preface that glass Bottom falls wild
see J Nash, Butler and Mitchellaw's yeah okay, So if
we're going off those players, I'm leaning towards the Hawks.

Speaker 3 (15:09):
fALS Clark is.

Speaker 1 (15:11):
The worst out of those eight. I think I don't
I'd rather see J.

Speaker 3 (15:16):
I don't do you see J?

Speaker 2 (15:18):
And then who else you got? Mark O'Connor O'Connor and Mulin.
I think Marlin's all right because he's good Tagger.

Speaker 3 (15:24):
They really play their role well. Butler. Butler's played less
than fifteen games, Like you know what I mean, the.

Speaker 2 (15:31):
Last couple, I've been pretty good. They have been good.
I feel like Geelong get the chocolates there and you
do you think they get the chocolates for the game?

Speaker 3 (15:38):
Oh counts by seventeen homes, Bog.

Speaker 2 (15:41):
Says the Hawks supporter have some faith.

Speaker 3 (15:44):
I'm excited for this. I think we can definitely win,
but I just think my head is it along And
I'm I'm being a good AFL Today panelist and I'm
saying my opinion, head over heart.

Speaker 1 (15:54):
Always always there we go, call them home, There we go,
go on.

Speaker 2 (16:00):
I'm going to go the Cats by twenty points, twenty
Cats by twenty points. I think it's going to be
the better game out of the two. And I'm going
to go Jez for my best on ground. Interesting, i
think we're.

Speaker 1 (16:11):
All go on the Cats. I'm going Cats by eight points.
I think it's going to be a bit closer than
you guys think. Shawny Matter he ended the game with
a match when he kicked three goals last time they
played against the Hawks.

Speaker 2 (16:21):
It can have another big one. He just he's had
a great.

Speaker 3 (16:24):
Different with his pick.

Speaker 2 (16:25):
Yeah. We speaking of the goal that actually sealed the game,
which is something you're going to have to look for
here for because Hawthorne they love to run the ball
out of defensive fifty with the likes of on the
MP and whatnot. And it was actually Shannon Neil who
had a game winning tackle on Scrimshaw. I believe it
was Scrimshaw. We all, I can't remember exactly Scrimshaw to
which sort of feeded Manner to kick that goal. So

(16:47):
they're going to have to be great forward pressure as well.
It's not just the closest Stengle the grind myis. It's
going to be have to be the likes of Neil
and Jesus as well.

Speaker 1 (16:55):
No good goal, So we're all go on the Cats.
Let us know in the comments Hawks fans if is
a real porter lads? Do you know all the asex means?

Speaker 2 (17:02):
Mate?

Speaker 3 (17:02):
Of course?

Speaker 2 (17:03):
And in fact, I'll let Marcus explain.

Speaker 1 (17:06):
I throw me under the bustle yo. To be honest,
I have no clue. Oh what a surprise. It's actually
the Australian securities exchange.

Speaker 3 (17:12):
Ah, well, I'll speak for Marcus on that one and
say I'm pretty clueless with that stuff.

Speaker 2 (17:16):
Well, lucky for you.

Speaker 1 (17:17):
Stockhead is a free website which gives you punting stock
advice through the ax.

Speaker 2 (17:21):
Where can we check them out? Check them out vice
dockhead dot com dot you.

Speaker 1 (17:25):
Saturday Night, we gone back to the g This one's
at five point fifteen.

Speaker 2 (17:28):
Actually it starts in the arbor, which we love.

Speaker 1 (17:30):
Collingwood versus Brisbane at twenty twenty three Grand Final replay Leader,
how good?

Speaker 3 (17:34):
How a buddy good? The last time these sides played
was seven weeks ago, so cast your mind back and
it was at the MCG and the lines got the
chocolates in what was a comfortable twenty seven point win.
The Pies weren't really threatening in that second half. And
I really want I want to get straight into the
midfield battle in this one. So both teams have that

(17:54):
out and out star. They've got Decos on one side,
They've got mcluggage on the other. Obviously he's not going
to play this game, but they also have that negating tackler,
not not a tagger, but they have someone who is
defensively minded. You got ned Long for colling with you've
got Dunkley who had eighteen tackles, yes, the final last
week record of Brisbane.

Speaker 2 (18:14):
So could we see a bit of a double date?
He lad's a bit of a tagging going on vice
a double date before?

Speaker 3 (18:21):
Ummm, no date?

Speaker 2 (18:24):
Interesting?

Speaker 1 (18:27):
You look, I have the go, but you could be
onto something. I don't know if Long will full on
your tag mccaga. I don't. I don't even know if
Dunkley will full on because you need Dunky as well.
He's an absolute beast and everything else whereas Long. I
don't mind if he's just doing the tag role because
he's not as skillful. But yeah, it'll be interesting. I
don't think we'll see a double date.

Speaker 2 (18:47):
I wonder if i'll tag with Baslanka on the new
Tinder double date feature. Oh there, you would know all
about that.

Speaker 3 (18:53):
Get him and Tammy and you and someone else. I
would actually though, I would really like to see Descos
first McCluggage in this. I just want to. I want
both coaches to put their thing on the table, don't
say it and just go. We're going our stars against
each other, and I want it to be just Decos
has thirty and two McCluggage is thirty five in a

(19:15):
goal and it's one of the all time matchups.

Speaker 2 (19:16):
So that wouldn't be very smart from the coaches. Why not,
because they get.

Speaker 3 (19:21):
The neutral fan don't think of winning the final mat
That's my point, Like it is very good for us
as as a viewer.

Speaker 2 (19:27):
I'm sure the coaches don't want anything anything on those
players either, because they want to get the best out
of their players. Yeah.

Speaker 1 (19:34):
Yeah, what they go before the game, all right, we're
not going to tag guys, We're not going to tag it.

Speaker 2 (19:37):
And they just let them go. That would actually be pretty good.
A truth, a treaty, a treaty, tay.

Speaker 3 (19:44):
Trim treaty. Yeah, okay, but potentially Jeremy Howe back for
the Pies now. I think he said he's feeling all right,
but he's a test this week. I want to ask you, guys,
would you risk him in this? Doorda really well, that's
a really, really good question. Think I wouldn't risk him
because I think they can still get the chocolates without

(20:04):
him playing.

Speaker 2 (20:05):
Just seeing how well that defense held up against Adelaide,
and I feel like Adelaide's forward line forgot that. He's
more dangerous than Brisbane's like without That's the question Cameron
has been why he was better last week. I don't
think he kicked a goal, though he kicked three points.
He kicked three points, but he was better around the ground.

(20:27):
And I just think with Ty Gallup and Logan Morris
as your tools and possibly Big Ol Darcy, for whoever
floats through there is less dangerous than the Adelaide Toll
trio final they can get away with against the.

Speaker 1 (20:39):
G four big os down there. I think I have
been a justice for Big O here. Well he's not
kicking many goals, but then you feel.

Speaker 2 (20:47):
Bad for It's like a John Noble situational over again.
You feel bad for the person who makes way for
Jeremy How and then it would be well, it would be,
but you'd feel stiff because he's played his way through
the majority of the finals campaign. Yeah, I'd be a game.

Speaker 1 (21:01):
I'm the opposite though, I'd be playing how just playing
like when they genuinely have lost a lot of games
because he got injured early, like that Hawks game that
we went to and you guys smacked him after that
because your tolls just tore him to shreds and they've
got some really good tools Brisbane, especially Logan Morris.

Speaker 2 (21:18):
I'd be worried about Jeremie How inexperienced four line for Brisbane. Sorry, yep,
that's concerning me. Like they're great footballers. Don't get me wrong,
but tygerllup. I don't think he's kicked a goal yet.
I think he went last week he missed, he missed one.
He had a short last week he missed. He might
have kicked one. I can't remember correctly. Uh. And obviously

(21:38):
Logan Morris is still early in his career, and Elska
makin the big O and Darcy for a more rock Forard. Yeah,
not forwards. See, I'll give you that. Yeah, so maybe
they can out school them a little bit.

Speaker 3 (21:49):
I see what you're saying to his finals football. Further
your point, he's been subbed down in his last four
games he's.

Speaker 2 (21:53):
Played Jeremy How That's okay that that is not.

Speaker 3 (21:56):
My but I'm still with your stats guy. I just
think if How's fit, you're playing for Parker, that's just
a no brainer. Last time these sides played, Logo Morris
kicked six goals and he was a major factor in
Brisbane winning it. And I think Jeremy how is the
perfect matchup for him. So if he's fit, I think
you've got to play how And I want to ask
you guys, would you play him a Morris because I

(22:17):
think it's a no brainer.

Speaker 2 (22:19):
I think I think you have to.

Speaker 1 (22:20):
He's he's having an awesome year logo Morris as well
a bit of a stat for he is the third
youngest player to kick fifty plus goals in a season,
behind Jack Darling and Jeremy Cameron. So he's in company
legend legend Jack dar and so he's in very good
company there.

Speaker 2 (22:35):
Could you start or bring Jeremy Howe off as a sub?
I think if you can't get through a full game,
like you mentioned, he's come off in his last four ward.

Speaker 3 (22:43):
Don't think you're starting if you don't want to.

Speaker 1 (22:45):
Because if he's a sub, right he gets into then
you sub him again.

Speaker 2 (22:49):
You cooked, You can't. You can't make this in like
he just had to come off because he's injured.

Speaker 1 (22:53):
Then there was a waste of a He shouldn't put
an injury prone player as a but I think he's
worth the risk because he's that good.

Speaker 2 (23:00):
The stat that worries me of Leo said he's been
sub to last four. That's not good.

Speaker 3 (23:05):
I think they can win without him, but I think
he's the perfect matchup for Morrows. And you did mention
Gallup before, whoever that tall is for Brisbane. I think
they'll stay with Gallup. They have a huge job because
I think they'll be on Darcy Moore. I don't know
if you agree with that, but I think I think
the big O or Fort whoever's down there, will be
on Frampton.

Speaker 2 (23:21):
No, it doesn't make sense.

Speaker 3 (23:22):
I think Gallup or whoever it is Smith, I think
they've got a massive role on Darcy Moore. I wouldn't
actually be surprised if they bring Henry Smith back. He
kicked three goals in that meeting last time. I wouldn't
be surprised they bring him in put him on Darcy Moore.
Interesting maybe, I don't know.

Speaker 2 (23:38):
Know, I just I feel like that's such a risk though,
to try and do that, because I think Darcy Moore's
defensive craft is obviously much stronger than Smith and Gallop's
forward craft. So who would you put terms a negating role.
The thing is you're limited with options now with hip
Wood out to play a negating role and then you
want to put one of the ruckman on and just

(23:59):
look then really and just try and get it to
ground so Darcy Moore can't take those. It'll be interesting.

Speaker 3 (24:04):
Well, we saw in that qualifying final how strong that
Pie's background was. Darcy Moore in particular, him and Brampton
had twenty three intercept possessions between them, and the Pies
smalls down there too like Quana, Perryman, Maynard Houston they
had twenty six intercept possessions between them. So that back
line was just in full swing really at Adelaide Oval,

(24:26):
so that Brisbane forward line. So it's the tolls on
Darcy Moore and it's the small such as Loman, Cameron,
Archie and Bailey. They have to be so potent and
be on their game and get the match up right
down there, because that is that is going to be
a key in this game football.

Speaker 1 (24:43):
You look at other teams like maybe even Hawthorne, It
a few other teams they're smalls and more like runoff, yeah,
whereas the Pies just have guys that can run off
like Quana, but then he's also gone one on one,
So like that's why.

Speaker 2 (24:54):
I love the Pies defense.

Speaker 3 (24:55):
Yeah, you kind of want to if you're a Brisbane
you want to go inside fifty where you've got a
bit of open space, like you don't you don't want chaos,
you want to clean.

Speaker 2 (25:03):
Ball should quite illuminate some extra aura to himself and
wear a headband. Yeah, look what happened to camp in Macintosh?

Speaker 3 (25:13):
You got the list of yea true.

Speaker 2 (25:15):
Yeah it looks like Alma Fudd, that's why.

Speaker 3 (25:16):
And the last one I want to touch on the
Pies went with Cameron and Cox in that first final
and I thought it worked. I was a Cox believer
and all right, man, would you keep Cox to occupy
Andrews in this team because we know Mason Cox loves
a freelom? Shut up?

Speaker 2 (25:36):
Are your answer? Believe in Cox? Yeah?

Speaker 1 (25:39):
He does, absolutely. I believe in Mason Cox. I think
so he's at least experienced in the in the finals
as well. He's had a few good finals that we've
obviously talked about. And you sort of convinced me on
the show the other week when you said he actually
played a role.

Speaker 2 (25:51):
So I'd keep him inside on Andrews.

Speaker 1 (25:54):
And directly on and yes, yes, because I think you
need to do something to stop Harris Andrews because it's
the same as Darcy Moore down the other end, could
have a massive impact. And Mason Coxy he can fly
and crush the packs and getting.

Speaker 2 (26:06):
The way so I don't mind it. I don't mind.
I'm leaning more my check on Andrews the forward smart.

Speaker 3 (26:11):
It's a bit more than you need to lead.

Speaker 1 (26:13):
They need like a couple of goals out of my
check and I don't know if he can do.

Speaker 2 (26:16):
That as well.

Speaker 3 (26:17):
How can they could get five out of Jamie?

Speaker 1 (26:19):
Yeah?

Speaker 2 (26:19):
True? True? Now do you see someone else coming to
the side who kicked four goals in the VFA? Who
is that? Bobby?

Speaker 1 (26:27):
Well, Bobby's been told he's not playing from what I saw, Yes,
we're playing, so which is pretty interesting. Imagine if he
just comes back for the Granny, I'll just get back,
just gets Norm Smith Agan, Bobby's.

Speaker 2 (26:37):
Back for the good that'd be pretty good. Anyway.

Speaker 1 (26:39):
We'll see if Mason cox A Yeah is picked. Let's
cut to footy form guys. Wally absolutely loves these the
best bet of the weekend for this game, get gents having.

Speaker 4 (26:47):
The show as always look this week for our best bet,
We've gone to the Collingwood Brisbane game. We really like
the unders here one hundred and sixty four and a
half Collingwood. We've had a lot of success this year
betting into those Collingwood unders. They do go under a
lot in these tight games where you don't think either
team is going to get blown out like we do.
You usually see tough contests whether and things aside, and

(27:09):
that may assist if there is rain about Whether in
things aside. We really think that this is going to
be one of those pregims for the ages, or we
hope it's going to be. So we can see the
score going low and that would track with what Collinwood's
been doing. They're going to be freshen up, they're going
to be ready to go. It's going to be high
tackle to a level, high possession, but we're expecting low scoring,

(27:30):
so we'll be going under one hundred and sixty four
and a half. Yeah, so that's what we're going to play.
Look enjoy the pregims guys, and hope we'll see you
next week for the Grand Final.

Speaker 1 (27:38):

Speaker 2 (27:44):
Thank you very much to Wally there.

Speaker 1 (27:46):
Make sure you check out Footy Form Guide every week
for the best footy tips all right, tips and margin
in this one a a bog same as the last one?

Speaker 2 (27:53):
Are we all going to go the same again?

Speaker 3 (27:54):
Leo Well, I must admit on Monday I was on
Brisbane go Brisbane, No, I thought about it, changed my mind.
I'm leaning towards Collinwood by two points.

Speaker 1 (28:06):
Oh.

Speaker 3 (28:06):
I just back in their system a little bit more
than I back in the Brisbane sort of stars and
I'm going sidebottom for best on ground.

Speaker 2 (28:13):
I just think if he gets the matchup of young Levi.

Speaker 3 (28:15):
We saw what Levi Dempsey a couple of weeks ago
at the g Anxiety could have maybe twenty twenty five
and a couple of snams.

Speaker 2 (28:21):
I've got a similar theory on that with my best
there we go. I actually think the Pies get this
done relatively convincingly. Again, I think it's it's system. We
were worried about Colin good but against Adelaide they just
look so structured, so defined. They drew me how back.
That's just another one actually potentially. And then I think
Brisbane they've although they cruise past goal coast, do you

(28:45):
think they Colin would do match up well against them,
and without without Neil, I don't know. I've just got
this feeling. I've got the tingle, the market tingle checked
and Nick Dakos I already have made Sorry Nick Dacos,
Oh wow, that's going down to limb there.

Speaker 1 (29:03):
Now. I'm going the other day cost Josh Decos for
best on ground Pies by twelve points. I think it's
going to be another three thirty five, a big swing
from last time they met. Joshaggar's opening. He's going to
find some space on the wing as well, which would
be very exciting and I'll touch on that in my
big call as well. Wait, so we've gone Cat's Pies
Grand Final all of us.

Speaker 3 (29:21):
Yeah, signed for Hawthorne.

Speaker 2 (29:25):
This is going to go over to again this week.
So yeah, he's put the put the curse on Hawthorne. Yeah,
let's go. There we go. Put He's put the curse
on Gelong for you. There we go.

Speaker 1 (29:35):
We'll see what happens there. All right, that's the games
all previous there. Let's get into the lock of the
week and the big calls. Your lock, please, Marcus, as
I look at it didn't.

Speaker 2 (29:44):
Work for me last week. But it's going to work
for me this week, absolute guarantee. And that is new
come getting tagged. What's the definition of insanity doing it
over and over?

Speaker 3 (29:53):
I'm with you on that one.

Speaker 1 (29:54):
Mullen has got to tag him unless same as last week,
he dominates the first quarter and they're like.

Speaker 2 (29:59):
Oh, it's the worst hope he doesn't have a Mulligan. Well,
Mullin is a better tagger than Berry. True.

Speaker 3 (30:04):
Yes, Leo, your lock homes twenty plus disposals. Even if
Nash is negating around stoppage, he'll be too quick from
around the ground and wrack up plenty of the pill No,
I like that.

Speaker 1 (30:13):
I'm going to go jazz. Two plus goals there is
my lock. You think it's a bit risky and one
goal four? I think it's one goal four?

Speaker 2 (30:20):
Then what are you doing?

Speaker 1 (30:21):
He's been a bit accurate and all those ones he's
had at least two goals and he's had he has
a very good record against the Hawks, eight last five.

Speaker 2 (30:27):
And you've got the most locks wrong, I believe on
the show.

Speaker 3 (30:30):
Does he I don't know. Count, there's got to be
something you need to go back to every showing count.

Speaker 2 (30:36):
No, I'm good it's actually I think I do. I'll
be honestly probably do.

Speaker 3 (30:39):
On the on the Jeesu one though. I just feel
iffy about picking goal scorer locks in a final.

Speaker 1 (30:46):
I get what you're saying ahead and doesn't get too
they're going to get smacked like, well, they got plenty
of different avenues.

Speaker 2 (30:56):
Last one. Yeah, you're the one who put that.

Speaker 1 (31:00):
True.

Speaker 2 (31:01):
I also put the eight en goals in five. It's
going to kick two. Don't you worry about that? A
big call? Include any goals and you'd be cool. I
did you want me to say my big offer? Film?
All right?

Speaker 1 (31:10):
Josh Dacos twenty five plus disposals, two plus goals, Korea
best game. I reckon for the for the Forgotten DAYCI.
I feel bad for him sometimes he's going to have
two goals on the wing. He's going to find a
lot of space on the MCG which he loves playing it,
and twenty five plus disposals a lot just the two goals.

Speaker 2 (31:26):
Yeah, that's a lock. But the two goals is obviously
part of the so you will think and level matches
up to him. If Levo matches up to him, he
could have three goals. Interesting, there we go could have
Levi's first year. Very good player, obviously, Leo, you'll be cool.

Speaker 3 (31:39):
I'm going last week, I did two hundred and forty
tackles between the two games, and I'm sticking with the tackles.
I'm going Galley Atkins Comackins thirteen plus tackles averages nine
this season for thirty. You know, I consider twelve, but
I thought it up a bit.

Speaker 1 (31:55):
Goes to breaks Dunkley's tuck will record because that's just
an outrageous call.

Speaker 2 (32:00):
Well, okay, this is just a big call segment, non believer.

Speaker 3 (32:03):
Now we'll go to the outrageous call segment where I
have Akins twenty plus tackles.

Speaker 2 (32:06):
Oh wow, big cold Marcus. Well, I mentioned calling to
win by thirty plus thirty five points and do it convinstantly,
So I'm gonna go thirty five plus points. Daddy.

Speaker 1 (32:17):
I'll give you that as a big callin in a
final Collingwood scoring power to win by thirty five plus.
I don't know it would be interesting to see. That's
why it's a big call. But I think you're right
when you said Jamie Elliott kick five. I think he
left to kick four or five for them to win.
By thirty five, so any we have to wait and
see that. All right, let's stop this shambalic show. That
