Speaker 1 (00:00):
Round twelve is done. Here is our wrap show for
AFL Today.

Speaker 2 (00:03):
Leo, what are we gonna talk about now?

Speaker 3 (00:04):
Well, I'm worried about my Hawks, but what I'm not
worried about is that underrated adelaide back when they are flying.

Speaker 4 (00:11):
And I'm going back to when Nate Caddy became Nate Daddy.

Speaker 2 (00:15):
Oh, I don't mind that at all.

Speaker 1 (00:16):
Check it out in the AFL Today Show right now.
And also round twelve is done and dusted. Welcome back
to the AFL Today Show. I'm you host Lea mccalloy,
also known as the Stats Guy. We've got the usual crew,
the crew that he's been on the last couple of weeks.
Got Leo Molalley in the corner. He's a bit flat
from the Hawks, but he'll still be good to go
for the show.

Speaker 5 (00:35):
Leo, I'm very flat, but I'm feeling good. I don't
know why. I'm just happy to be with the boys.

Speaker 1 (00:39):
Oh that's actually very nice because usually you say we're
not mates and we're just do we just here for.

Speaker 2 (00:43):
The greatest mates.

Speaker 5 (00:44):
We are mates.

Speaker 2 (00:45):
Oh okay, good man, good man.

Speaker 1 (00:46):
I've also got Marcus Bars and he's rocking the fresh
AFL Today show.

Speaker 2 (00:50):
AFL Today solution, sir, I turn around, what am I
doing here? That's over the audio listeners that I'll probably
just look like a frog?

Speaker 4 (01:04):
Then I gave a thousand people the year you're actually
as what I do on.

Speaker 2 (01:08):
A Friday and Saurday. Not to be fair, so things gossed.
You gave two thousand. Tie what I'm hoping.

Speaker 1 (01:13):
Anyway, make sure you subscribe to AFL Today on YouTube,
but hit the notifications bar goes a long way.

Speaker 2 (01:18):
We're on our way.

Speaker 1 (01:19):
To seven point two, I believe seven point two, so
keep keep hitting the subscribe on Follow us on x Facebook,
Instagram and TikTok for more footy content all season long
as well. But it's Ousie Rules Today on Facebook, so
don't forget that one. I reckon today. The by rounds,
we're just getting right into the results slides. We're going
to get right into it. So it's around twelve results
you've got Thursday Night footy, which we absolutely love. At

(01:40):
the game up Brisbane thirteen goals ninety goals, seven goals ninety.

Speaker 5 (01:46):
That's going on there.

Speaker 1 (01:47):
Brisbane at thirteen goals twelve ninety ess at eleven goals
six seventy two the bomb has put up a good fighter, Leo,
and no one putting to that one.

Speaker 5 (01:55):
This is a really fun game.

Speaker 3 (01:56):
Was I don't think we were saying that a quarter
time because the Lion's first quarter was ultimately the difference
in this game.

Speaker 5 (02:03):
They came out, their midfield was humming.

Speaker 3 (02:06):
We did chat about how ruthless they could be on
the Thursday Show and the answer was yes, in that
first quarter they were just ruthless.

Speaker 5 (02:14):
They were going through Essendon like nothing.

Speaker 3 (02:17):
Mcluggage forty one disposals, thirteen inside fifties, twelve score involvements. Oh,
he's just critical for the way they move the ball.
He's such a force. I want to pose a question
to your lads. We chat about him being all Australian
and I think he deserves a spot in that side
right now. But is he now Brisbane's most important player?

Speaker 2 (02:38):
You go four, that's most important. I'm going to go yes, Yep.

Speaker 4 (02:43):
I'm actually want to say yes because I think Neil
he's going to cop a tag every week if he
gets tagged out out of a game. Let's say you
can't escape tag every week. It's these players like mcluggage,
like Dunkley that have to step up and mcluggage has
been that man this season in particular, but he's also.

Speaker 2 (02:59):
Been very underrated in previous seasons and.

Speaker 4 (03:01):
It's just showcased his influence on the game with forty
one against the Dons on Thursday.

Speaker 1 (03:07):
Yeah, career high forty one as well. I think he's
been their best player this year like Lacaniel. Obviously he's
a superstar, but he's had a little bit ups and
downs being tagged. You're not going to tag him acloagin.
Put him in the Australian team. Put an actual winger
in the Australian team.

Speaker 2 (03:19):
I don't want.

Speaker 1 (03:20):
I got a little forward or another midfielder on the
wing that's an inside. Put an actual winger like Josh Deakosa.
Should have had a couple of spots there, that actual
winger a couple of spots. Oh, he is a jet
the other rated dacos of course, but yes, I think
he is their most important playler.

Speaker 5 (03:35):
I love that.

Speaker 3 (03:35):
And just before I get to Essenon, I want to
give a quick shout out to Jasper Fletcher. Even though
he can't spell his own name, well his parents can't spell.
I think what the stat is last thirty six disposals
have all been effective from him really, so he's just
been moving to a new role this season down back.
He's been really important for them, sort of freed up

(03:58):
Zorco a little bit more and just to add kitty
calm of that is a bit scary, just quiet.

Speaker 2 (04:01):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (04:02):
I watched Jasper he dominate against North and that was
sort of when I noticed him a bit more, because
when you you sort of watch Brisbon from the outside
and you're not a Brisbane fan, you go, I just
look at the stars. But he is a weapon and
he's even been good in the games where they went
to good themselves.

Speaker 2 (04:15):
So good ever, he.

Speaker 3 (04:17):
Shout out to Jasper, but we've got to talk about
Essenon as well. Oh yeah, absolutely, fantastic fight and come
back from your bomb raise, Marcus.

Speaker 2 (04:24):
I thought they were superb for some content.

Speaker 3 (04:28):
It was thirty nine to seven and they came back.
They got in front for a little bit. Nate Caddy,
how special is he? Go on, Marcus, love.

Speaker 2 (04:37):
A boy moment. He's my son, He's my son. Actually
he's my dad's my daddy.

Speaker 6 (04:43):
I love that boy.

Speaker 2 (04:45):
I love that boy.

Speaker 3 (04:45):
You know, rumor has it when Nate Caddy turned eighteen,
he told his dad that the dad is now the
man of the house.

Speaker 4 (04:52):
That's how much he told is the man of the
house Lenas Franklin. Let Franklin has pictures of him on
his bedroom roof.

Speaker 2 (04:58):
Roof, bedroom roof, so he's lying better noise like Porgia Center. Yeah,
he's like damn.

Speaker 5 (05:04):
His athleticism is amazing and he's over.

Speaker 3 (05:07):
The head goal like it's not goal of the year,
but it's it's a fantastic He's not five.

Speaker 2 (05:11):
I reckon he missed the running, he missed the open
goal kicks.

Speaker 5 (05:16):
That was That's a full Caddy experience.

Speaker 2 (05:17):
There's not many tall guys that can just kick it
over the back of the head. There's not many.

Speaker 1 (05:22):
There's only like a handful of guys in the league
that can do that, let alone a really tall guy
like him.

Speaker 5 (05:26):
Yeah, he was superb.

Speaker 3 (05:27):
And also I think the main reason that Essendon came
back into the game in that third quarter was due
to gy Cardwell. He was outstanding in that third term.
Sixteen disposals, seven clearances in a quarter of AFL football
and a goal in a quarter of a quarter of
AFL football.

Speaker 5 (05:44):
He had seven clearances.

Speaker 3 (05:47):
He was superb and I think Meyriott was playing a
bit more back, so I think him.

Speaker 2 (05:52):
Played the game.

Speaker 3 (05:52):
Yeah, it was huge for for Gi. Another person who
spells his name with which.

Speaker 4 (05:57):
By the way, he's still only he's a freak. Tell
he's still only like twenty two, twenty three.

Speaker 2 (06:02):
He's a cool world. Yeah, he has been around, he's young.

Speaker 5 (06:04):
There's as for a few Yearsah and now he's.

Speaker 2 (06:07):
It's a bomb.

Speaker 4 (06:08):
They teased me a little bit obviously. If you've seen
the social clip I had to clothes because I was depressed,
please check it out. It kind of flopped anyways, it's
it's the baby Bomber's two point oh slowly emerging.

Speaker 2 (06:21):
Oh that's a big premise.

Speaker 4 (06:24):
No, no, I know, but like as in, it's the
new young breed coming through Archie Roberts is young.

Speaker 2 (06:28):
Nate Caddy's young Coco.

Speaker 5 (06:30):
Would you rather take prime Matthew Lloyd or Nate Caddy.

Speaker 2 (06:33):
Oh, well that's a silly question.

Speaker 3 (06:34):
Caddy Matthew cool obviously, And just a just a quick
sum up. He just felt like in the last quarter
the Bomb has spent a lot of energy getting back
into the game. Maybe a bit of fatigue setting and
the experience of the lines just managed that last quarter
probably just helped them get over the line.

Speaker 4 (06:49):
Yeah, so you have to see this week in week out.
Now the pessonal fans want to see. You gotta see
that week in week out.

Speaker 2 (06:57):
Yeah. And the Bombers they kicked straight eleven goals six.

Speaker 1 (06:59):
I kept him in the game, Like, if you're coming
up against the team that everyone goes, oh, they're going
to be away from home, away from home, you just
got to kick straight. We'll touch on that in some
games later as well, because it kicks straight, it absolutely.

Speaker 5 (07:08):
Helps a right.

Speaker 1 (07:09):
That was Thursday night forty. Let's get into Friday night,
the only game in Melbourne. Surprisingly, in the first buy
around here, Collingwood sixteen goals eleven one hundred and seven,
Hawthorne eight goals, eight fifty six. Well that's not good
for the Hawk's lads. So Marcus is where else do
we start this game?

Speaker 4 (07:24):
But where were you when Nick Daikos took his first
contested mark.

Speaker 2 (07:29):
We were together.

Speaker 4 (07:29):
We were together crying in the bathroom. He was crying
in the bathroom. But it was a good day to
be a Collingwood forward throughout that game. It was in
the first half, I think the ball was entering forward
fifty with a little bit too much ease, particularly in
the first half, and that was just really down to
Hawthorne's pressure. Even for the whole game, the tackle count
was eighty two to thirty eight, So there's now thirty eight.

Speaker 5 (07:52):
Yeah, that's horrible.

Speaker 4 (07:52):
Thirty eight when when you're losing a game by like
that margin, they were sort of it was a cruisy,
sort of victory for Collingwood. That was Yeah, threatened to
im back in that second quarter, No, a little bit,
but worrying Son's because Hawfelle. Now in the previous two
weeks tackle counts of thirty six and thirty eight obviously
against If.

Speaker 1 (08:10):
You want to win a game, you're aiming for about
fifteen to twenty a quarter, and they've had thirty six
and thirty eight.

Speaker 2 (08:15):
That's brutal.

Speaker 3 (08:16):
I would love to see how many miss tackles as well.
I think that's actually a really underrated stat.

Speaker 1 (08:21):
They actually know you work for. I'm not even making
a joke about this. You work at Champion Data. They
wouldn't be counting miss tackles. Maybe that's something they need.

Speaker 5 (08:28):
To We literally count miss tackles.

Speaker 2 (08:30):
Really, I've never seen that. I've never seen that on
any of the They're just.

Speaker 5 (08:33):
Not on the stats. But we count miss tackles I.

Speaker 4 (08:36):
Pick up for my tribe. Ohs not felt today today.
But Jamie Elliott was one who reaped the rewards of Prussure.

Speaker 2 (08:44):
He kicked a.

Speaker 4 (08:45):
Fantastic girl where he broke a tackle. Actually yeah, then
more and then went through and kicked the goal. But
he ended the game with five goals. And he's leading
the Coleman.

Speaker 2 (08:54):
Boys like he's leading He's like Lebron, He's like thirty
six or whatever.

Speaker 5 (08:59):
Billy Elliott Lebron Well.

Speaker 2 (09:01):
I had a little start here for you.

Speaker 4 (09:03):
But because I looked at this just before we started
the started this podcast, the last person to win the
Coleman Medal who was under one hundred and eighty centimeters
was Bill Young in nineteen fifty six.

Speaker 2 (09:15):
And I loved Bill. It's not a little start legendary,
that is it all Young.

Speaker 1 (09:19):
So for Comax, Marcus had to go through the archives
and high respectable that a lot Bill Young.

Speaker 3 (09:25):
He was.

Speaker 2 (09:25):
It was a jet back in the day.

Speaker 4 (09:28):
And even even still. Jamie Ellie is one seventy seven.
Bill Young was one fifty one seventy nine, sorry fifty.

Speaker 2 (09:37):
Back in nineteen fifty six.

Speaker 4 (09:38):
He was probably full forward probably, but it was it
was a little bit concerning. Hawthorne had, especially the start
of the game, double the inside fifties, but just weren't
able to hit the scoreboard. Collingwood always looked the more dangerous.
So absolutely, uh there they're running to the end of
the season as well. They got two games in the
state for the rest of the year. Yep, they're basically

(09:59):
going to pencil win top lot up more in the premiership,
do it now?

Speaker 5 (10:02):
I agree?

Speaker 2 (10:02):
Yeah, Like I said, that was laying.

Speaker 1 (10:04):
Like I said on the power rankings the other week,
I don't think there's anyone personally. I don't think there's
anyone that's that close to Obviously Geelong beat them, but
at their best Collingwood are clearly the best things.

Speaker 2 (10:13):
Still like Brisbane. Do you think Brisbane is too long
as well?

Speaker 4 (10:16):
But you thought one of their defenders really stood out
throughout the game and has done in the past.

Speaker 1 (10:20):
Month, past yea past month, past two weeks especially, But
Isaac Quana, like he's sort of it's been a bit
inconsistent throughout his career, but he's the last month he's
been awesome. He had twenty disposals, eighty five percent efficiency,
six marks. I know that doesn't jump off the page,
but his game was just awesome and.

Speaker 5 (10:34):
He shut down the Wizard. Shut down the Wizard.

Speaker 1 (10:36):
The week before he shut down Paul Curtis Porco has
had no influence with Wizard, had no influence. So I
just shout out to him because he's a beast and
he loves strutting his stuffs at Crana when he's at
his best.

Speaker 2 (10:45):
He looks good for.

Speaker 4 (10:47):
Someone stat Lone that did jump off the page in
positive news for Hawthorne was Jack Inman turning up and
again turning it up again against his old side Collingwood.

Speaker 2 (10:55):
He had thirty one three goals.

Speaker 4 (10:57):
He was just fantastic, particularly in the in the first
half he was excellent. It's kicking him from everywhere, but boys,
particularly Leo, what are you thinking here? Hawthorne on one
and four against top eight Swide so far this season.
They could be one and six if they lose to
the Western Bulldogs at Marvel and Adelaide in Tazzi in
the next two weeks before thereby, This could see them

(11:19):
drop out of the eight. And look are we I
know it's a bit early to say that as a
Hawthorn fan, what are you thinking about their top four hopes?

Speaker 5 (11:27):
What am I thinking? I think we need to move
to the next game.

Speaker 3 (11:32):
Top four is done. Where we are right now, we
are a sixth to tenth side. That is just that's
just reality.

Speaker 1 (11:39):
Yeah, but you should be six to eighth like you
should be playing better, North, should be winning more games.

Speaker 5 (11:47):
That was me showing lowering my colors there.

Speaker 3 (11:53):
No, Look, I think, yeah, we're in middle of the
roadside who can make finals still, but I don't think
we're contending.

Speaker 1 (11:59):
So no, And you played weirdly a lot better footed
last year and you've been found out a little bit,
which is which is a worry.

Speaker 2 (12:06):
But I still think second half of the year they'll
be all right. That's night.

Speaker 1 (12:09):
So yeah, Coley went obviously flying. They got the job
done on Friday night footy. Let's get into Saturday boys
people First Stadium, Gold Coast, first freemdt of Gold Coast.
Nine goals, ten sixty four threro eleven goals, nine seventy five.

Speaker 2 (12:22):
Is it Flagman or its flag Manton? Back on a
couple of weeks ago, we were saying fraud Mantle. Now they're
saying flag mantle and they are very excited. Three straight
wins there is awesome, LUTs.

Speaker 5 (12:31):
Yeah, they they think are back. I think you think
they've bad.

Speaker 1 (12:38):
It's like because at the start of the season, I
think a lot of us had the top six.

Speaker 6 (12:42):
Yeah.

Speaker 5 (12:43):
Do we think that's still possible? Yeah, I think top
four's on the cards.

Speaker 2 (12:45):
You've actually got their record from here, I do.

Speaker 3 (12:48):
So after the bye they play North in Perth, because
that's the game North bots Essen at Perth and St.

Speaker 5 (12:53):
Kilder at Perth.

Speaker 3 (12:54):
That should be three wins and that would make it
six consecutive wins, which sets them up perfectly for a
top four charge.

Speaker 2 (13:00):
But if they do drop those sort of games. So
this is why we're.

Speaker 3 (13:04):
Still The game hasn't been played yet, lads, and they've
won three in a row.

Speaker 5 (13:10):
They just beat Gold Coast away in tough conditions.

Speaker 2 (13:12):
They were superb in that game as well. They were
so good. I'll touch on a few goals. Sorry, sorry,
I just want to say you talked.

Speaker 3 (13:17):
About on the Wednesday show, So Thursday show stats Guy
about the fun midfield battle.

Speaker 5 (13:22):
Was it a fun midfield battle?

Speaker 2 (13:23):
It was?

Speaker 1 (13:23):
It was still a really fun midfield but he had
Noah Anderson. He had thirty nine touches. That's back to
back weeks where he's had about around that mark twelve
clearance as well, but the difference was no Anderson one tackle.
Then you look at the other side, you've got Sarong
and Brashaw both had seven plus tackles, and that was
the difference of this game. The commentators all game were saying, oh,
just Free brought the pressure as soon as it started raining,
so I was pretty clear first off. Then I pored

(13:45):
in the second half and Doc has just adapted so
much better. They had twenty tackles inside fifty I feel
of those were chased down tackles, even right at the
end of the game. Just the awesome fitness from Shy
Bolts and he had three goals. But his pressure, like
I know, he was always pretty good pressure at Richmond,
like that was what they built their team on. But
I feel like he's taken that next step this year
for Free, especially the last month, and it's been perfect.

Speaker 2 (14:05):
So that's been really good.

Speaker 1 (14:06):
The rain it was heavy in the second half, docors
adjusted as I just said as well, that was just awesome.
Amazing groundball gets by Bolton and Luke Jackson. It was
good in the wet twenty seven disposed. Twenty seven disposal,
Sewan Darcy had three three, Shawn Darcy had three.

Speaker 2 (14:21):
Gets Sean Darcy out of the side. Leave Luke Jackson.
We've been saying this for weeks.

Speaker 5 (14:25):
Lights.

Speaker 2 (14:25):
Yeah, he suits those conditions as well.

Speaker 4 (14:27):
He's such a luxury to someone that tall to be
that agile.

Speaker 2 (14:30):
And they went on the.

Speaker 4 (14:31):
On the on the deck where it's crazy. Yeah, he's
going to be an absolute freak for years to come.

Speaker 2 (14:36):
Genuinely crazy King. This is the other one.

Speaker 1 (14:38):
So we talked up Ben King of Ben Long being
probably the best, one of the best duos in the
competition in terms of goal kicking.

Speaker 2 (14:43):
They both only had one goal each. Then a few
of the.

Speaker 1 (14:46):
Otherwise were a bit inaccurate mischances that's what costs goal
cross a fair bit. And then Flanders he actually did
pretty well. He had three goals playing half forward. He
showed that he can play anywhere. The last couple of
years he played half back mid and I was playing
half forward Niggy.

Speaker 5 (14:59):
Still because he's a prolific ball winner. I think he's
still trying to learn the.

Speaker 3 (15:03):
Role a bit because he has had a few quiet
games like half back great and he'd feel great.

Speaker 5 (15:07):
So he might be a bit inconsistent, but he's a
quality player.

Speaker 1 (15:10):
Yeah, so not enough guys sort of stood up rare
as well. I don't know if you saw that. I
just remembered he actually gave a little punch to a
freo player erasmus.

Speaker 5 (15:19):
Why see it?

Speaker 1 (15:21):
But so he that was sort of niggling behind the
player and then he just sort of gave him a
little soft ones all like that, and then the up
Fred played a free kick because as well, I reckon
it's at least a week interesting because like I don't
care if you're not hurting someone, why are you close
fist and punching someone.

Speaker 2 (15:37):
I don't know. It's not a good.

Speaker 1 (15:38):
Book, Like we can't do that to each other, but
we do anyway, don't get h already anyway, Frio, that's
an awesome, massive win. Not many people can go up
to the Gold Coast or Darwin and beat the Suns
on their home deck. So also in my flag mantle,
maybe it's back on.

Speaker 2 (15:53):
Maybe it's.

Speaker 1 (15:55):
Next one on Saturday NG Stadium JWS Richmond in a
really close one actually has twelve goals, eight eighty Richmond
ten goals, seventeen seventy seven.

Speaker 2 (16:05):
What a game? What a game?

Speaker 5 (16:06):
I know they last, but I want to start on
Richmond here.

Speaker 3 (16:08):
Yeah, they just for the first three quarters, they just
wanted it more so clearances. They won it by thirteen
contested possessions, they won it by twenty nine and inside
fifties eleven.

Speaker 2 (16:18):
That's their best, that line all.

Speaker 3 (16:20):
Yeah, they were just they were prolific, not only winning
the ball but getting territory, and that obviously worked for them.
Weren't as accurate as they would have liked though, ten seventies.

Speaker 1 (16:29):
Yeah, they've had more shots, more shots than they've lost.

Speaker 2 (16:31):
The more shots they had more shots, they missed two
or three.

Speaker 4 (16:34):
They kicked two or three behinds from about twenty four
to thirty meters straight in front.

Speaker 2 (16:37):
You're one of those goes through. They're celebrating.

Speaker 1 (16:40):
It was the story of the weekend. There's a lot
of missed some easy chances almost every game.

Speaker 4 (16:46):
Would that have been a better win if Richmond got
up and won this game, Would that have been a
better win than around one against Celton?

Speaker 2 (16:53):
They would have got the fans would have loved. Probably not,
But in terms.

Speaker 5 (16:55):
Of were just saying no because of the atmosphere in.

Speaker 2 (16:57):
Terms of what they were up against.

Speaker 1 (16:58):
Yeah, I'm going to say yes because Generes is a
better team, but because they beat Cutson.

Speaker 3 (17:03):
But yeah, Well, on this show the last couple of weeks,
we've been giving a massive pump up to the young
guns of Richmond. Rightly so, the green shots have been fantastic,
But this week I actually want to give a shout
out to their older players because they stepped up and
they were superb. Dean Prescia, the meatball back in the team,
love it. We should have all we should have meatball
Subsidi to celebrate his return.

Speaker 2 (17:24):
He was great.

Speaker 3 (17:25):
Thirty one and a goal. He led the way with
that ball winning and that sort of given them first use.
Alongside Taranto. Hopper was really good and nank I thought
he was fantastic. He was the one just sort of
giving them first use all day. He was superb around
the ground and just another quick shout out for Richmond.
Ben Miller he kept Jesse Hogan gowlers for the first
time since a round sixteen twenty twenty three. Well, I

(17:49):
would not expect that from Ben funky Miller.

Speaker 1 (17:53):
There, but that is his career best game Ben Miller
because he was taken into that mark. He was because
he's a big guy, and I was so glad that
he used his body a bit more because he needs to.
He's such a big guy. And Jesse Hoagan's massive and
it was just but bodying him off.

Speaker 2 (18:06):
It was awesome.

Speaker 3 (18:06):
Yeah, and then on the giant side, so we talk
about Hogan being goalers, so that's probably one that's crazy
score Avenue gone. Callan Brown stepped up with three goals.
Cadman as well stepped up late, but I think the
story for them was obviously terrible news with Callan Ward
going down early with the suspected ACL is obviously getting
scans in a couple of days, probably going to end

(18:28):
his outstanding career, which is such a shame because he's
been a store war just an one of the best
club men, probably most underrated players, amazing GS Football club.

Speaker 5 (18:40):
He is.

Speaker 3 (18:40):
He's just heart and soul, and I thought the speech
he gave at three quarters time was just very inspirational
and awesome to see because I reckon that kind of
gave them the fight and the hunt that they needed.
It was lack in the whole game. They gave him
the hunt to go out there and start winning the
ball and getting it forward and giving them a chance
to win the game.

Speaker 5 (18:58):
And they did it for Wardy, so I.

Speaker 2 (18:59):
Thought it was great. It was awesome they played it.
He played it down a bit. Three got a time.

Speaker 1 (19:03):
They asked him what just say to the boys, like,
I just go back to the tactics and all that
I reckon. He's fired him up. He knows how to
get into their heads. He's been playing with all these
guys for his whole career. He knew what to say,
and he's like, just do it for me, boys, this
could be my last money's fallen off.

Speaker 2 (19:18):
Just just just win because we shouldn't be losing the
Richmond and it worked.

Speaker 3 (19:21):
By the way, him actually doing an interview with Fox
Footy like yeah, injured, Well I was gonna say, that's
just a credit to him, the guy he is to
be like, yeah, I'll do this interview. So just absolute superstar.
But yeah, that comeback was incredible.

Speaker 1 (19:36):
I had this on in the radio as I was
driving and you could hear Callum Brown's goal song. If
you don't know if you've heard that, it's like a
Brazilian like sort of sumber song with whistles and like
the crowd was like clapping.

Speaker 5 (19:45):
I've got to be irish because he's Oris.

Speaker 2 (19:46):
Yeah, but that it was awesome.

Speaker 1 (19:48):
No, I'm pretty sure it was like a Brazilian song
because it sounded like you could do a bit of
a sumber to. It was great and the crowd was
just clapping, going crazy for it. So credit to the
Gabres crowd. You couldn't hear a thing in the last quarter.
They were so loud.

Speaker 2 (19:58):
And I'm very happy.

Speaker 5 (19:59):
Become the giant.

Speaker 2 (20:00):
Become the giant. The big sounds sound all right?

Speaker 1 (20:02):
Before we get into the rest of the games, let's
have a quick break with stock it he leo quick question.

Speaker 2 (20:05):
Do you know what the ASEX means? H?

Speaker 5 (20:07):
Do you mean AFLX?

Speaker 2 (20:09):
No?

Speaker 1 (20:09):
Mate, the ASEX the Australian Stock Exchange.

Speaker 5 (20:12):
Oh man, I'm absolutely clueless for that stuff.

Speaker 2 (20:15):
Wow. Lucky for you.

Speaker 1 (20:16):
Stockead is a free website that gives you everything you
need to know about punting stocks on the ax.

Speaker 5 (20:21):
Damn, that sounds pretty good. Where do I check them out?

Speaker 1 (20:23):
Check it out via stock are dot com dot you
And it's even easy for your little p brain to
understand Damn.

Speaker 2 (20:29):
Saturday Night is the next one at the SCG. What
the hell happened here?

Speaker 1 (20:33):
Sydney five goals eleven forty one Adelaide twenty one goals five,
one hundred and thirty one points. Yes, they kicked twenty
one goals five Marcus.

Speaker 2 (20:42):
Well the hello.

Speaker 4 (20:44):
Or we have to start with Alade surely after that
performance absolutely probably the best performance of an individual club
so far this season. And they had fourteen different goal
scorers Adelade fourteen. Honestly, I don't know if Sydney have
had fourteen different goal scorers across the past five weeks
and Adelaide ye manage to smash that. But Adelaide with

(21:06):
that one hundred and thirty one points by far the
best offensive team in the competition so far, and they're
real threat.

Speaker 2 (21:14):
They're going to be a real threat when it comes
to September. They're currently third.

Speaker 4 (21:17):
They got the best percentage in the competition with one
hundred and thirty nine. And it all started in that
first half, particularly in the second quarter, they kicked seven
goals and nothing. We'll set seven goals to two points.
In fact, Sydney fans started cheering the behind that those.

Speaker 2 (21:33):
For the Sydney fans of the SCG.

Speaker 1 (21:34):
You go onto a game of foot, you're like, I'm
gonna I'm going to go and take the family.

Speaker 2 (21:37):
Can't take the family? Are going to just up in
our Sidney scars and.

Speaker 4 (21:39):
You're rocked up and you have to cheer behind.

Speaker 2 (21:42):
That's that's a joke. Come on.

Speaker 4 (21:43):
But not only was it their offensive capabilities that were
on full displayed, it was also the defensiveities. As much
as Sydney were turning the ball over and were terrible
by foot, they kept the raining and the raining Grand finalists,
Yeah that's even work to one goals, one goal for
at halftime. Just the ten points at home Sydney were

(22:04):
so look, they were deplorable in the end, the Sydney swes.
You can't be losing by that margin at home you
were last season. I know they've got a little of injuries.
I know it's steen Cox's first year. Can't lower your colors,
like yeah, yeah, you can't let a team score against
you that easily and turn the ball over that frequently.
It just looked like there was no structure. There were
times where they just panic, get the ball, kick it

(22:25):
along because look, when any goals here where ten goals
down West just kicker forward and Mark Keane was having
absolute field day.

Speaker 2 (22:34):
It was good. Is he one of the most underrated
tool defenders.

Speaker 5 (22:37):
In I reckon You could say that about a lot
of their defenders.

Speaker 1 (22:39):
Mclaneyosh Inge. They're all having great even Miller of the
launch half back as well. So like we've done this
on this show, we always got the toll forwards, they're
killing it. There's still like a really good top five
I think defense in the competition. Yeah, Adelaide, And we
haven't really been talking about that.

Speaker 3 (22:53):
It's because their defense, like and I don't mean any disrespect,
but it doesn't have the A grade stars. It doesn't
have like a Paris Andrews, a Weirdering or Sam Taylor,
who we know are stars, but they are more than
just role players. They had genuine contributors for the football
club that make him such a good defense.

Speaker 5 (23:10):
So absolutely keep it up, Adelaide.

Speaker 4 (23:12):
I think in the first ten to fifteen minutes, in
the first half of the second quarter, Martine had four
or five intercept marks. It just shows that that Sydney's
delivery inside fifty was embarrassing at times.

Speaker 2 (23:23):
It really was.

Speaker 4 (23:25):
And look it was a celebration for their two thousand
and five premiership winning side, with all the fans walking
into the ground, to all the fans and the former
past pre premiership players walking into the ground together because
it was their first premiership in two thousand and five
that year for seventy two years, and to come out
and particularly in the first half start like that. It

(23:47):
wasn't good enough from Sydney, but in a shining light
for Sydney, there was a shining light and it was
justin McNerney. In is one hundredth game, he finished with
the match high disposals. It was a low disposal game,
finished with twenty seven. He played particularly well though, match
high Match high twenty seven.

Speaker 2 (24:01):
Yeah, well that was because Adelaide you had so many guys.

Speaker 4 (24:03):
Getting twenty twenty two, twenty three just across the top
had load disposal get it was twenty five disposals. I
can't remember the top of my head, but yeah, he
was the Seawan news for this ones.

Speaker 1 (24:14):
One other thing I just forgot to mention is Raschelle.
I don't know if you saw his on side goalkickie.
He used to play Sox soccer background like Penderbury with
his past background.

Speaker 2 (24:23):
He's gone the toepoke in the middle of the ground.

Speaker 1 (24:25):
Great a through ball triangle if you're playing FIFA or
whoever whatever you play a sports FC whatever it's called now,
a little bit of a through ball. They even got
up with the Foxwoodys the on sideline so it was
on side. There was no flag at to go up
and then they ran in and kicked a god and
that is probably the best goal assist you'll ever see.

Speaker 4 (24:42):
Yeah, Champions League it was this morning and into got thrashed.
Five meals for Shelley could have.

Speaker 5 (24:49):
He could have done a job on the wing cone a.

Speaker 2 (24:52):
Job six or five. They win that on the wing they.

Speaker 3 (24:56):
Get Chelsea get Roschelle on one wing, would on the other.

Speaker 5 (25:00):
Who's beaten Chelsea? Anyway, that's another well racking up.

Speaker 1 (25:03):
For it, actually thrill top up.

Speaker 2 (25:06):
From he just sent a back back for the head
is Peter breakfast. Just bang.

Speaker 1 (25:10):
We've we've sold, we've sold, we've sold football here, we've
solved far. That's all right, all right, that one is
enough for that one. Let's get into the next game.
Sunday Funday, as Leo likes to call it too Treger Park.
This one's in Alice Springs. This one's my one. Melbourne
Saint Kilda, Melbourne. The inaccuracy continues this weekend seven goals
twenty one sixty three Saint Kilda fourteen goals seven ninety one. Lads,

(25:33):
what is the inaccuracy this week? And it's killing him,
it's killing back, killing bad football.

Speaker 2 (25:37):
Butleto knock, knock. No one believes in the scene.

Speaker 5 (25:44):
It's not even I believe in the this week.

Speaker 2 (25:46):
Do you want to do it?

Speaker 3 (25:46):
You don't deserve it. No, I don't even deserve it.
I was often this week. You don't deserve the satisfaction
of me doing that.

Speaker 2 (25:52):
No one does.

Speaker 5 (25:53):
Because Saint Kilda they shocked the world.

Speaker 2 (25:55):
I reckon, I reckon.

Speaker 4 (25:56):
You tipped Saint Kilda six and one over the past
seven weeks and this was the one.

Speaker 2 (26:01):
This was shame on you, shame shame on me. And
I will take that.

Speaker 3 (26:06):
But can I just say to the viewers, I walk
into the office at the start of the last week
and they go, Leah, you just can't.

Speaker 5 (26:12):
Be Timm, can't be doing it like you just can't,
So shame on me.

Speaker 1 (26:18):
That's actually funny because you did say on the Thursday show,
I'll watch They're gone go win this week because I
haven't Tipton and they did it that Ross Lyon was
watching our show and he's like, boys, we've got to win.

Speaker 2 (26:27):
I gotta win for Lea.

Speaker 4 (26:28):
Maybe maybe it was a return of a particular goal
sneak which caught him over the lawn.

Speaker 1 (26:32):
Absolutely damn. Butler first came back for the season. Four goals,
danger of danger, danger, they used to call him. All
of his goals were from the top of the goal square,
but he was just always in the right spots. He
was at the four of the ball. He got a
few marks down there as well. Four goals. Just an awesome,
awesome return to the game. Fast starting Saints as well,
great tactics. I thought the tactic for putting wind Tager

(26:53):
on Cousey worked immaculately. That it's probably the best tactic
we've had all seasons. So he had held him to
twelve disposal, so Cozy only had twelve disposals. Windager had
twenty eight disposed himself, probably his best career game ever.

Speaker 3 (27:06):
Yeah, And I think it's interesting because going into that game,
I would have said, look, wind Haagg is a good tagger.
But I feel like Cozy would have had too much
speed for him. I would have thought Windager could go
to Clarry or Track, but.

Speaker 5 (27:18):
It just got proven wrong. Oh, I got proven wrong
because yeah, yeah, that's great.

Speaker 1 (27:22):
That's probably Becausey's first off game. It i'd say about
a month even more.

Speaker 2 (27:25):
And he's been incredible. He's been averaging I think twenty
two disposals and two goals.

Speaker 1 (27:29):
Yeah, to almost three goals two point six I'm pretty sure.
So he's been incredible. And when Teger absolutely shut him down.
This is just crazy from the Saints on the d's
that I want to touch on the DS. I didn't
write this in the run, ye, but I just had
to just remember on the Thursday show we said there
were three wins from their last five sorry at Trager
Park a Trager Park two wins from their last five.
So now they had two wins from their past six

(27:49):
at Trager Park in Our Springs.

Speaker 2 (27:51):
Maybe they don't want to go up there anymore.

Speaker 5 (27:52):
Yeah, it's not ideal.

Speaker 1 (27:53):
It's not ideal up there. It was beautiful though, beautiful
scenery around there.

Speaker 2 (27:56):
I want to go there.

Speaker 4 (27:57):
But they did have their chances to actually, you know,
make this even a little bit closer. Or potentially won
the game.

Speaker 1 (28:03):
Yeah, you can't be kicking seven goals twenty one. They
had one goal twelve in the second half one goal twelve,
so they probably should have at least gotten with it
a goal or two or probably won this just from
inaccurate kicking. They had seventeen more inside fifties than the Saints,
but the Saints kick seven more goals.

Speaker 3 (28:19):
Still, I know it's up one goal twelve is obviously
should never happen, but I think we might need to acknowledge.

Speaker 5 (28:24):
The fact of where the shots were being taken.

Speaker 3 (28:26):
True Saint Kilder, I think it was like halfway through
the second quarter all of their goals were from thirty
meters or less inside fifty which is what you brought
up with Butler. They were getting deeper entries where Melbourne
perhaps weren't getting those deeper entries. So like, there's high
percentage shots and there's low percentage shots. And I know
seven twenty one is bad and that should never ever happen.

Speaker 1 (28:46):
But yeah, even if you go on you fifty percent
from your low percentage shots, that's all right.

Speaker 3 (28:49):
Yeah, you do need to generate some better opportunities for
your team.

Speaker 1 (28:53):
But Saints were just so efficient, obviously when they didn't
have anywhere near as many inside fifty. It's got a
lot of goals, but track up, excuse me, the tryck
had really tried in the second half. I thought he
was solid. Twenty two disposed, two goals and most of
those touches were in the second half. I thought Steven
May was really solid. He was getting really frustrated though,
yelling at umpires, leaned opponents, yelling at the crowd. He
was getting really mad. He had twenty one disposals, ten marks.
I think at least six or seven intercepts.

Speaker 2 (29:15):
He was really good.

Speaker 1 (29:16):
But the Saints they just kept attacking throughout. So I
was listening to on the radar. They were like, this
would be a classic Saints game if they just shut
the game down the last quarter and not sort of
play their free footy.

Speaker 2 (29:24):
And similar to when they made.

Speaker 1 (29:26):
Finals a couple of years ago, they decided to play
that free flowing footy.

Speaker 2 (29:29):
I think they did do that and try and do
that every week even if they lose.

Speaker 5 (29:31):
Yeah, and I also want to give a shout out.
You mentioned May who was great.

Speaker 3 (29:34):
But on the other end, Wilkie, I think he had
like thirty disposals and fifteen marks.

Speaker 5 (29:38):
He was a rock down there for the Saints.

Speaker 3 (29:40):
And I think we've gone through every game and the
one thing, the one theme that has been prevalent throughout
is efficiency inside fifty. How important is that not just
this round but for the season. If you're a fishing
inside fifty, you're going to put yourself in the best
position to win the game you look at I'd argue
Essenon at times, actually Brisbane.

Speaker 2 (30:03):
Brisbane kicked I think at one stage seven or eight
behind on the road in a row. But you're right.

Speaker 4 (30:08):
If teams can keep other teams to low percentage shots
on goal, like sayt Kildal did against Melbourne, I just
hope this isn't a purple patch for Melbourne that we
look back on.

Speaker 2 (30:17):
It's like they.

Speaker 4 (30:18):
Played really great here, but is sustaining it. They can't
sustain it and they're not being consistent. Because everyone likes
to see Melbourne doing well well.

Speaker 2 (30:26):
They bring out they bring out like it's.

Speaker 4 (30:28):
Better for football when you see some of the big
clubs like Melbourne bring in a big crowd. We'd rather
that than see them play on a Sunday one ten
in front of you, right, people.

Speaker 1 (30:39):
I think this is an awesome win by the Saints,
Melbourne to being the best team or equal to Collingwood
since Round five and then they've knocked them off in
a random arena. Obviously it was past part alice Springs
that not many teams play it, So awesome win for
the Saints. I think this might be a little bit
of a blip for the D's, but worry some science
because this is sort of how they were playing a
bit earlier in the season, a bit inefficient.

Speaker 2 (30:57):
So a bit of a worry there.

Speaker 1 (30:58):
All right, through the power of that producer Gerald and
the Internet, we are back life for this game. Sunday,
Opta Stadium, West Coast Geelong. West Coast eleven goals, seven
seventy three Geelong seventeen goals fourteen one sixteen. Pretty solid
game where yeah, this.

Speaker 5 (31:12):
Was a really fun game.

Speaker 3 (31:13):
I thought we you know, could have been a smashing
but West Coast they they were competitive.

Speaker 5 (31:18):
But it was Geelong.

Speaker 3 (31:19):
They ran rampant in the first and last quarter. Bailey
Smith was unbelievable thirty six and a goal. He continues
his sort of push for the Brown Low potentially, but Mark,
I don't know if he saw but he grabbed at
the hammi late.

Speaker 5 (31:33):
He played out the game, but he grabbed out the hammy.

Speaker 3 (31:35):
So just wanted to keep an eye on but my
aes he was firing and I thought holmes Is running.

Speaker 6 (31:40):
Carry was too good as well.

Speaker 3 (31:42):
Jazz kicks five four in the last Marcus doesn't want
to talk about it, but that's all right. I look,
it's hard to say because he kicked five, But I
thought Jimby did a really good job on him for
three quarters.

Speaker 5 (31:55):
And I'll put my hand up.

Speaker 3 (31:56):
I thought Jimby as a sort of key defender wasn't
going to work. I kind of saw him as a
more of an on ball midfielder type. But I thought
he competed really hard against Cameron. He rebounded well himself,
and yeah, just overall, like he gave his all. He
gave efforts to.

Speaker 5 (32:11):
Every contest, which is all you can ask.

Speaker 6 (32:13):
So, yeah, he only considered like one other than that
last quarter. He was solid.

Speaker 1 (32:18):
And we've all said the same thing about Jimmy playing back,
but he really held his own and maybe that's a
sign for the future. And if they can find him
down back, then beautiful.

Speaker 3 (32:27):
Yeah, that's sort of like another piece to the puzzle
that like, they have so many pieces they need to connect,
but he could be one that could fill the void
down there on the Eagles, though, I actually thought this
was Harley Reid's best game for the season. He only
has nineteen and a goal, but he was noticeable out there.
He's run and carry was electric burst from the stoppage.

(32:47):
I think he got called a couple of times, but
I don't mind that because it shows that he's willing
to take the game on, willing to play it we strength,
So I thought he was.

Speaker 2 (32:54):
Really really good.

Speaker 1 (32:55):
Yeah, yeah, MICUs, you were going off about his goal.
Was it up there for goal of the Cadi's probably
a little bit better as a goal.

Speaker 2 (33:01):
Yeah, definitely was not goal the year.

Speaker 4 (33:04):
I didn't carry on that much, but no, it was.
It was just very exciting to see the future Bomber play.

Speaker 2 (33:09):
Well.

Speaker 3 (33:12):
He's probably not wrong there one player I'll go in Essen,
but potentially Brisbane Oscar Allen. He kept them in it
early with his accurate kicking. I think it was three
goals in the first half, one and the third just
when sort of Geelong were up by about three four
goals early on, Allen was just there popping up keeping
them in the game so they could make.

Speaker 5 (33:29):
That charge and then a part of that charge leam Baker.

Speaker 3 (33:32):
I thought he was sublime, probably his best game for
the club twenty nine disposals, but he really lowered the
eyes when he had the football, and I thought he
was a real focal point for the Eagles.

Speaker 4 (33:41):
We had You're sorry, you're talking about Oscar Allen and
it was important that he kicked straight as well.

Speaker 2 (33:47):
Yeah, look, he kept.

Speaker 4 (33:48):
Him in it because at times you were talking about
when they were getting three goals, four goals, five goals
down and he needs to kick those goals. He did
kick those goals all bit like a little bit ugly
off the boot, but they went through through the middle.

Speaker 2 (34:01):
So is that the answer?

Speaker 4 (34:03):
Now with McGovern gorn, do we put Jim bide back
and Alan Ford?

Speaker 5 (34:07):
Yeah? I think.

Speaker 3 (34:08):
I think Alan is a natural forward, and I kind
I know with Wadman out, I like what they have
with Jack Williams and Archerie that there's some good project players.
So if you have Alan there with them sort of
being that experienced guy, like that's your base and you
work from there.

Speaker 6 (34:23):
I think absolutely.

Speaker 1 (34:25):
Just one more thing on Badsmith obviously, do we think
he's come in the brandlelets like obviously had decos up there.
We talked up a few other players in our midweek show,
he'd be up there as one of the favorites.

Speaker 3 (34:36):
Now well, I think he was second favorite going into
the week, and obviously his performance was incredible tonight.

Speaker 5 (34:45):
I just want to see how that hammy pulls up though.
I just want to see.

Speaker 2 (34:48):
I don't know what's more concerning.

Speaker 4 (34:49):
If you can miss out through injury, if he can
escape suspension from the.

Speaker 2 (34:57):
Finger.

Speaker 1 (34:58):
Yeah, there's no off between Harleyhood and bad Smith, but
we didn't see any, so that was a bit disappointing.

Speaker 6 (35:04):
All right, Geelong take the chocolates.

Speaker 1 (35:05):
They weren't that impressive, but they got the job done
again and they're so fit and strong in the last
quarters as we've seen all Yeah, let's get into the
ladder check Ladd's ladder check. Obviously you've got Collingwood at
flying on top at forty points, got the chrom We
don't mind the chrome on this show. They've pipped and
jumped the Gold Coast into third. Now that's unbelievab. When
you've got Gold Coast and that let in the top four,
that is incredible. Then we go down. We've got three

(35:28):
still in the eight. Actual they've jumped up into the
into eighth spot, which is beautiful for them.

Speaker 6 (35:32):
Who have we got? We've also got Melbourne back into twelfth,
saying Kilder pushing up to eleventh, which is too bad Sydney.
The real worry therefore and eight. I think they're cooked
for the finals, do we think, lads?

Speaker 3 (35:42):
Yeah, I think that that cooks them out last, not
the fact that they lost, but that's also how they lost,
Like that's just that they can make a run, I
guess in the back half, but it's not going to
be towards finals.

Speaker 5 (35:52):
It will just be sort of a few cheapy wins.

Speaker 4 (35:54):
I think even with their percentage, their percentage is shocking.
So yeah, they're going to have to win a game
extra on everyone else if they want to even get
inside the eight. And I just don't see that happening.

Speaker 6 (36:03):
The wead they're playing. Yeah, and the ladder is a
little bit skewed.

Speaker 1 (36:06):
Obviously, you've got the teams that had the buyer, so
you've got the rest, You've got Port Adelaide, then the
bottom three. I don't think it's going to change too much.
But Richmond and West Coast. We're actually very sold this
week for bottom three site shows how even the competition is.

Speaker 6 (36:17):
And there we go. That is the ladder check. Let's
get into the tipping results, lads. Do we all get five?
Lea you're usually checking this.

Speaker 5 (36:24):
Yeah, oh am, I okay, yeah we all got five?
I think? Yeah?

Speaker 3 (36:27):
What we all tip the same? So we got Gold
Coast and obviously Melbourne wrong. Alex tipped Sydney so he
got four.

Speaker 5 (36:38):
You wanted to raise that one.

Speaker 1 (36:40):
He's loving it over there in Paris.

Speaker 5 (36:44):
Yeah, I am very jealous right now.

Speaker 1 (36:46):
Had the PSG celebrations over there, so we Charles but
can't be didn Sydney anymore.

Speaker 6 (36:50):
Sorry mate? All right, big call results.

Speaker 1 (36:52):
I'll start with my one. Lukey Pedler he got one.
I got excited. It was very will be the worst
big call because Marks and I got pretty close this week.

Speaker 6 (37:03):
What was your one?

Speaker 3 (37:04):
So I had Logan Morrison for he kicked two goals,
three passed one off that was about five meters out
and he kicked another out in the full.

Speaker 5 (37:10):
So thats just the full Logan experience that one.

Speaker 6 (37:13):
Is he the full Joe the new form.

Speaker 3 (37:14):
I think he is the full Joe because you never
know what he's going to get. He kicked a snap
from forty out too, like he's a weird unit.

Speaker 6 (37:22):
He is a weird unit. Marcus. Yeah, he was close,
he was close.

Speaker 2 (37:26):
He heard my big call. Three quarters time. They said, look,
Marcus has a big call and you had to kick six.
Go on, do it. And he almost took the big
call from the clouds. But do it. He finished with
five dollars two so he could have had it.

Speaker 1 (37:40):
Yeah, that is very stiff. We will get a couple
of big calls next week. I'm just feeling it's.

Speaker 5 (37:44):
A big next week.

Speaker 6 (37:45):
Yeah, big weekend, a long weekend for big calls. I
feel it all right. Best on Ground of the week,
Here we go, Leo. This is your one.

Speaker 3 (37:52):
Yeah, a few nominees, but one vote. B Smith thirty
eight disposals and a goal. I just think he's running
carry is two valuable to Geelong and that was on
show to night.

Speaker 5 (38:02):
Two votes. Jay Elliott five goals. Now, I know he
wasn't the only player.

Speaker 3 (38:07):
To kick five goals this week, but what I really
liked about his game is that his leading patterns are
first class. Colin Wand's ball movement was obviously held by
the lack of pressure, but he always finds space in
tight sort of areas as well, and he's great overhead.

Speaker 5 (38:23):
He showed that on Friday night.

Speaker 6 (38:24):
He deserves two votes.

Speaker 5 (38:26):
Colem he's second in the Coleman, how good. It's your
highest fan. You'd be loving that. Three votes.

Speaker 3 (38:31):
H McCluggage. I thought he was the best player this
round forty one disposals, but it's just the way it's
his impact on how they move the ball and their
chain is just I don't think there's another player who
has that impact for their side, if that makes sense.
He just knows how to get involved with scores, he
knows how to get inside fifties, and he's not too

(38:53):
bad in the trenches as well. So that's where I
saw it this week. Let me know who was stiff
in the comments.

Speaker 6 (39:00):
Let us know in the comments. I think that's pretty
bang on.

Speaker 1 (39:02):
I think the Cluggage is just an underrated beasts as
we talked about him for half the show.

Speaker 6 (39:06):
I love him and he.

Speaker 1 (39:07):
Well deserves three votes from from there there, all right,
full credit, Best team of the round. This one's always
a bit fishy, but we'll see how we going.

Speaker 2 (39:17):
What are you talking about. This is this is gospel.
This is the talk right here.

Speaker 4 (39:22):
So look, it feels weird to put this team as
one vote, but I'm going to go one vote.

Speaker 2 (39:29):
Are Tigers losing the game? Richmand gets one vote in
the in the best three teams of the round.

Speaker 4 (39:39):
Look at the end, I was expecting them to rock
up and by eighty, but to do that on the
road where they have a terrible interstate record recently, and
and Gissa a hell of a good football club to
go out and pretty much they should have won that game.

Speaker 2 (39:56):
Let's be real, they still they still.

Speaker 6 (39:59):
To vote from me, this is gospel.

Speaker 2 (40:01):
Apparently, this is gospel. This is gospel.

Speaker 3 (40:04):
Scraped the bottom of the barrel in the by rounds
to two votes.

Speaker 4 (40:11):
S Kilder Saints again kicking kicking straight unlike the Tigs
to get to the win against the team we didn't
kick so straight and and likewise Melbourne were one of
the form teams of the competition. And for Saint Kilda,
we didn't really think that they could go off and
pull an upset. Let's be honest, with the way they
were playing in recent weeks, it was just so dull

(40:31):
and lackluster. But they brought a bit of flair today
and that was proven by the locks of Danny Butler
on the score sheet with four and finally three votes.
I think it just has to be to the a Crows.
Perhaps the crom absolutely dismantled the Sydney Swans and have

(40:54):
really risen and stated their claims and the rest of
the competition for the premiership favorites.

Speaker 5 (41:00):
Colin wood stiff with this.

Speaker 6 (41:03):
Free You've got to show some love to some love to.

Speaker 2 (41:13):
I predicted six guys.

Speaker 3 (41:16):
He's put Richmond in for one vote for traveling away
and losing free O travel to Gold Coast and one.

Speaker 4 (41:22):
And there's a difference on expectations mate. If you go
up to a three in a club and if you
go up to a ten, if you seed them fail
with it, it doesn't mean it doesn't mean it was
a successful night.

Speaker 1 (41:34):
So trying to let's get through the show boys. But
that is the worst best team of the round we've
ever had and I.

Speaker 5 (41:43):
Take him off it labor boarding. I was just.

Speaker 1 (41:49):
I think the comments just said get back. That's that's
just I just saw a comment from anyway. Before we
finish off, lads, make sure everyone checks out our Freeze
M and D fundraiser. Actually in our bio on our
link tree on Instagram. We're going to be doing an
iceparts challenge, yes, one weeks three. I think Olivia as well,
so that'd be good fun. I don't know how you

(42:09):
guys go on ice spots. How you feel about that?

Speaker 5 (42:11):
One better than all of Francis?

Speaker 1 (42:13):
Oh?

Speaker 2 (42:13):
Better?

Speaker 4 (42:14):
Yeah?

Speaker 6 (42:14):
Very very very good?

Speaker 4 (42:16):
Are we just going to skip to the end without
mentioning none of us got our locks.

Speaker 5 (42:20):
Right for the week?

Speaker 2 (42:21):
One of us?

Speaker 3 (42:23):
Yeah, I actually got all right because tab miss boy
one and I got my missed by one.

Speaker 6 (42:28):
No, we don't have that at all.

Speaker 1 (42:31):
That is a joke from us that we all got
the locks on. And I think we might have to
cook someone.

Speaker 6 (42:35):
Up during the week because we should be punished for that.

Speaker 1 (42:37):
That's pretty bad. Come on, I don't know about that anyway.
