Speaker 4 (00:42):
It's going to be a wet, cold weekend footy in Melbourne,
but still I'm looking forward to it.
Speaker 3 (00:47):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (00:47):
I don't find games like that. Yeah, that's that's what
foot is all about.
Speaker 1 (00:50):
Bring back the mud bars and the games like in Geelong,
Like I think it was a couple of years ago.
Speaker 2 (00:54):
Bring it back, Bring it back, Bring weather back.
Speaker 1 (00:57):
Yeah back. It's gonna be another awesome shows. We dive
into all the matchups, stats tips. I think there's going
to be another really tough round, probably one of the
best rounds we've had in terms of matchups, which you
guys agree, sure, yeah, I got obviously the stats debates.
Speaker 2 (01:11):
Locks.
Speaker 1 (01:12):
Just pausing on that one. They're going to be locks
this week. Last week there were big calls pretty much
that's that were tough.
Speaker 2 (01:17):
That's why we didn't get them right. This week they're
going to be lost.
Speaker 1 (01:20):
This week they're gonna be locks, and then we've got
big calls and everything in between. Make sure you subscribe

(01:41):
win some beers.
Speaker 2 (01:42):
What's the end question with we're leaning towards lo.
Speaker 3 (01:44):
I think they'll have to find out they have to
find out a little bit bit of a tea.
Speaker 2 (01:48):
It's very well done.
Speaker 1 (01:49):
So yeah, make sure you get around that because we
do giveaways on there, and of course get around this
on it wherever you get your podcasts. Obviously another buy around.
Lads Frank Frio and Saint Kilda are on the buy.
So let's get it of the round thirteen previous. Why
not Thursday Thursday night. We've got Western Wolocks versus Hawthorne
at Thursday night seven thirty at Marvel Stadium.
Speaker 2 (02:09):
All right, this is one of the best games of
the round.
Speaker 4 (02:11):
We can't get it over and done with quickly, but
with the buy approaching for Hawthorne in particular, obviously the
Dogs just came out of there by they got the
game in hand on Hawthorne they will look to leap
through the Hawks's with a win. They've got the better
percentage as well, and obviously percentage more become an issue
for Hawthorne. They've got there's still one hundred and ten
percent at the moment, but.
Speaker 2 (02:32):
Could be out of the eight. They could be out
of there, they could be out of the eight.
Speaker 4 (02:34):
And also they've got the worst percentage out of anyone
in the top nine, everyone above them I think, and
below them and the Dogs Giants have but if you lose,
that's what I'm saying, If you lose to Adelaide, that
gap can be closed.
Speaker 2 (02:50):
So look, it's a tough time for Hawthorne, but arguably
a runout.
Speaker 4 (03:00):
Premiership been like three defeats on the shot. They're facing
the Dogs this week, informed and informed team of the competition,
and then also Adelaide as well. We're also informed next week.
But fun only enough, both of these teams have only
beaten one side inside the top nine this season, and
that is both come against the GBS Giants.
Speaker 2 (03:20):
So the Giants frauds.
Speaker 1 (03:21):
Maybe they are frauds. We've been talking up the Dogs
all year and then talking down the Hawk. Obviously the
Hawks had bigger expectations, obviously were awesome last year. Yeah,
but where do we sit on both of those teams lines?
Speaker 3 (03:33):
Well, I think yeah, it's the expectations of both sides
and also the fact that if you watch both teams,
Dogs are playing better football. So even though the football
hasn't stacked up against the better sides, they're getting closer
in those games they're having. In a weird way to say,
but good losses.
Speaker 2 (03:48):
Yeah, you look at the defeats.
Speaker 4 (03:49):
Obviously, the Western Bulldogs lost to Geelong most recently. Yeah,
that was well in that contest. They didn't disgrace themselves.
They should have won that. Whereas Juxta opposed to Hawthorne
with with Colin.
Speaker 3 (04:00):
Duckstory, He's like, that's twelve twelve years.
Speaker 2 (04:11):
Nothing, he's lost Hawthorn. Hawthorne has won the last.
Speaker 4 (04:16):
Three meetings against the so they go, good recent record
and a couple of those have been led by certain players.
Speaker 3 (04:23):
Later, Yeah, I think Jihan Newcomb's the man for the
Hawthorne and so I think three twenty twenty three score
had forty disposals against them and has he so many
mistackles and then thirty five in the final last year.
He's been a bit down on form like the rest
of them, but he's one I think if he can lift,
hopefully others around can follow. But I think it's a
big if. Unfortunately, well just off the cuff. How sicily
(04:44):
is going to be out for this game, It's gonna
be a few weeks. How big of an out is it?
Speaker 4 (04:47):
More or less for the not only the experience in
the defense, but also that calm head.
Speaker 3 (04:52):
I think it's it's a big hour, but I think
we can kind of afford him to be out, like
he's obviously been out of form.
Speaker 2 (04:59):
But this is why battle and barrass.
Speaker 1 (05:01):
Yeah, if you don't know at Barras then you'd say, oh,
this is a bit of a cook like background. But
you don't really need him right now. Like he's kicking efficiency.
The last month and a half has been horrible.
Speaker 3 (05:12):
Yeah, when one hundred percent against Brisbane, that's fine.
Speaker 2 (05:14):
Yep, Oh, there you go. There's the stats guy for
I know what you mean. I know what you mean.
Speaker 3 (05:20):
Last week he's definitely out of form. He's definitely out
of that.
Speaker 4 (05:23):
You're right right, Well, the dogs are kind of making
Marble Stadium a fortress himself. They've won, they've won their
last nine at Marvel Stadium, although one of Hawthorne's three
wins did come against them at Marble Stadium.
Speaker 2 (05:35):
But what I'm looking.
Speaker 4 (05:36):
For here is if Hawthorne can bring the pressure. They've
lecked it, they've left it over the past. Yeah, we
talked about it. Thirty six and thirty eight tackles in
the past two weeks against Brisbane and Collingwood, which has
dropped their average to fifty eight, so more or less there,
they're we're tackling about thirty tackles less than their average,
which has just been dragged down to think about the
(05:58):
eighth or tenth tackling team in the competition. So that's
one to keep an eye on in a blockbuster Thursday night.
Speaker 2 (06:05):
The Hollywood Hawks, can they bring their.
Speaker 3 (06:07):
Ye it's a good point because we talk about like Collingwood,
like we couldn't even lay a glove on them. But
the Dogs, even if you're next to them, they're quick
hands or quick throws. Their quick hands.
Speaker 2 (06:20):
Sixty percent handbles of throws sixty competition. Yeah, that's a
real start.
Speaker 3 (06:26):
It's not real, but they're the importance of actually pinning
the arms against the Dogs is just so so important.
So the fact that we've had this form of tackles
like tackle count leading into it doesn't bode well.
Speaker 2 (06:43):
I think, especially they've got a fairly bullish midfield's one
of the best, so I think it's going to be
a really fun matchup.
Speaker 1 (06:50):
Like I know, both teams are trying to push for
that top six or sort of and then Hawks, can
they drop out of the air. That's gonna be Wilde.
So that's gonna be one to watch. We've got tips
and margin lads, Yeah, we are your hawks. Can they
get the job card?
Speaker 3 (07:02):
Now I've given the Dogs I don't know what a
margin though, I've gone anywhere between one and ninety.
Speaker 2 (07:09):
Okay, what if they come out and do what they
did to Essendon? No way, because your Corks are a
lot better than better.
Speaker 3 (07:15):
A game better than Essendon, but a lot easier fixture.
You you know, No, I just genuinely I don't know
whether because dogs will come out and smash us or could.
Speaker 2 (07:25):
Be a close game.
Speaker 1 (07:25):
But if they're going to smash it, it's gonna be
like thirty, not not nine.
Speaker 2 (07:29):
We've only played You've only played one game at Marble Stadium.
The shear, isn't it against the Eagles?
Speaker 1 (07:32):
Yeah?
Speaker 3 (07:33):
That wasn't That wasn't one for the memory books.
Speaker 2 (07:36):
Marcus, What are you going me a margin?
Speaker 3 (07:38):
Because this guy you ninety margins, just say give you
dogs by ninety then no, you just he gave you
nty reasons why the Dogs will win.
Speaker 2 (07:48):
I'm going to go I'm going to go the Dogs.
I'm going to give you thirty reasons, thirty points, thirty reasons.
I'm going to give eighteen. I'm going to go I
reckon it'll be pretty close.
Speaker 1 (07:56):
The Hawks they've had some adversity, went up to god
a few games where they keep it close one diversity, Yeah,
like a few people they dropped or sorry left out,
you got Cicily out. I think they'll keep it close
eight een points. I don't think the Dogs are that
far ahead of the Bulldogs. Sorry, the Dogs are that
far ahead of the Hawks. Cheez, great wording there I
need use.
Speaker 2 (08:14):
Friday.
Speaker 1 (08:15):
Here we go Adelaide versus Brisbane. I think this is
going to be the game of the round, better than
the one on Thursday night. Friday Night seven forty at
Adelaide Oval. The Brisbane's gonna be awesome one there.
Speaker 2 (08:24):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (08:24):
I want to start this on Adelaide's back line. We
talked them up at the rap show last week. You
know they're forwards.
Speaker 2 (08:29):
They get all the pored and some rightly so, but
it's an underrated back line.
Speaker 3 (08:32):
They did it brilliantly against Sydney last week, but this
is a big step up against Brisbane's forward line.
Speaker 2 (08:38):
I know the forwards for.
Speaker 3 (08:39):
Brisbane haven't probably been at their best, but there's still
so many like dangerous options with Loman Archie Charlie Cameron.
I don't really want to include hip Wood in that,
but he can kick one or two and then you've
got Logan Morris as well, so there's options. Can that
Adelaide back line stand up?
Speaker 2 (08:54):
What do we think? I think they can.
Speaker 4 (08:56):
Oh, it's going to be their toughest task probably yet
this season in terms of opposition. Obviously they've they've flowned
a little bit. We talk about their record as well
against sides in the top eight. So for them to
for us to consider them serious contenders, that back line
needs to hold up and keep Brisbane to uh a
semi low, semi low score.
Speaker 1 (09:16):
Brisbane have had a few random games though against average
back lines where they haven't scored big Like the forward
line is the worry.
Speaker 2 (09:23):
I think for Prison.
Speaker 1 (09:23):
You've obviously still got the stars across the whole ground,
the midfield, they're still flying.
Speaker 2 (09:27):
The back line like around Harris Andrews. You can build
a back line around him easily. But the forward line,
I don't know.
Speaker 1 (09:32):
I don't I don't mind adelaiding this matchup because the
rhsmen forwards have not been that good. I feel like
I feel like the forwards that were out of former
slowly starting to work their way back in the form. Obviously,
Charlie played well against Trucker, Cameeron played well against Hawthorne,
Kyle Lowman was was goal from his first four or
five games this season then and then kick three against
the Bombers.
Speaker 2 (09:50):
Yeah, no, good goal.
Speaker 3 (09:52):
Well you brought up Adelaide's record against the top nine,
so actually they have won one. So that's the same
amount as Dogs and haw Hawthorne. So are they genuine
contenders because as in for the flag or just in
terms of like can they make a run.
Speaker 2 (10:05):
For the flag, because is it an expectation thing? Again
with them, I think they still can be.
Speaker 4 (10:11):
You look at everyone's Premiership window, you look forward against,
points scored and points against and they're in the top
three for both of those starts. So if that doesn't
say that they're leaning towards becoming big contenders, then I
still put them will Like, just.
Speaker 1 (10:26):
In terms of experience, I'm taking them outside of Geelong
Brisbane Colling like you're taking the other three. I'm taking
another three easily still over them. But in terms of
the stats, they're well on their way, Like they're going
a lot better than everyone expected, so fair by, Yeah.
Speaker 2 (10:40):
Fair enough. So when they win this year, why is
that funny to you? When they win this year? I
thought you made the flag and you're saying in general.
Speaker 3 (10:47):
When they win this year, the average winning margin is
fifty points, so it's not necessarily a close games.
Speaker 2 (10:52):
It's huge in the games.
Speaker 3 (10:53):
Well, they're winning games and winning games well, but against
Brisbane at home, I feel like if they're going to win,
it's going to be a bit of a tighter game
than that.
Speaker 2 (11:01):
Yeah, but we think no, I think it can be
really really close. Like Brisbane have had so many close games.
Speaker 1 (11:07):
I think you were going to mention that, literally, they've
had a lot of close games there for that Hawks one. Yeah,
and they haven't been yet just not convincing. They know
how to win most games, but just has been a
bit unconvincing.
Speaker 3 (11:17):
Like even in its essen last week, they get off
to a blistering start, everyone thinks, oh, how Brisbane by
how much TV? Yeah, and then they're just they're not
really putting together that four quarter performance apart from that
Hawks game, So again, there's still a bit of a
weird one. Brisbane, like they're the winning games, but you know,
how are they playing, How well are they how.
Speaker 1 (11:37):
Well are they're playing, Like I wanted to just touch
on the depth of Adelaide, like the depth across the board.
There's I think it's been three weeks in a row
where they're leading to spos has been like twenty seven touches.
Speaker 2 (11:45):
They just get it across the board.
Speaker 1 (11:47):
And one guy that popped up last week, go oh yeah,
he's actually having a pretty underrated season.
Speaker 2 (11:50):
Amb Alex neil Born.
Speaker 1 (11:52):
I think you guys and Alex as usual on the
show talked him up before the start of the season.
I think you love him as well. Marcus twenty five
in a goal last week. I think he's averaging seventeen
in a goal. Like it's not amazing stats, but he's
just that perfect pick up. If you can get a
guy that's averaging seventy in in a goal, they've got
like three of them, Like you've got Cligo's right up there.
I'm trying to think of a few Dawson ranking, Like
there so many guys that average around that, and they're
(12:14):
building a really good squad. Like he's not a star,
Alex Nebourne, but he's just that perfect role play, and
I think it needs to be spoken about it.
Speaker 2 (12:19):
But as we approach the mid season, we're talking about
alex Ner, Bullen, did Adelaide win the trade pod? Yeah, surely,
Pete Ling coming, you're bullin.
Speaker 1 (12:28):
Yeah, but I think that Geelong got Bailey Smith and
he's like better than all of them combined.
Speaker 2 (12:33):
Oh coolah, yeah, I'll juxtapose that. I'll go back to
Ye for a three year course. Anyway, sis and margin
did four courses? What did you study? Science? Aerospace, engineer, life?
(12:55):
All right, give me your tips. Marcus coming to I'm
going to go. I think it's going to be a
close one. You talked about the average margin being fifty points,
but I think it's gonna be a lot close. I'm
gonna be a ten points. Oh yeah, I.
Speaker 3 (13:09):
Think Crows by three points, and they're actually going to
have a bit of a closer win. They're not known
for their close wins, the Crows, so I'm going to
go by five points. I think this is the one
where it goes against the tidle bit. We're all tipping
on by under ten points, so I reckon this could
be an absolute rip snorter.
Speaker 2 (13:23):
Al Right, Saturday, here we go. Saturday Richmond versus Sydney.
Speaker 1 (13:28):
This is actually a huge game in my opinion, Saturday
one twenty at the mcg interesting clash. Sydney obviously were
the best away team in twenty twenty three made the
Grand Final, but they lost to Richmond in this exact
matchup last season, lads in probably the biggest upset over
the last couple of years.
Speaker 2 (13:44):
Could this happen again? Yeah for sure. Oh it's crazy.
Speaker 3 (13:47):
You look at the form going into last year. Everyone
thought Sydney by how much? This year's two bottom six
sides going at it?
Speaker 1 (13:53):
Yeah it's fourteenth verse sixteenth, which no one's all coming sims.
Crazy to say, but could you picture they'd be one
game of each other. Richmond win this game the equaling
points for Sydney.
Speaker 2 (14:03):
That is unable.
Speaker 1 (14:04):
And if Richmond even just get another one or two
wins throughout the season, that is a huge never win
again and it's a successful season, Yeah.
Speaker 2 (14:10):
One hundred percent.
Speaker 1 (14:11):
But if they get a couple more, it's like they're
gonna win the They're gonna have a dynasty.
Speaker 2 (14:17):
Twenty twenty six the Tigers.
Speaker 1 (14:18):
They were awesome last week against GWS, led for three
quarters and then Gener's just dominated last quarter. They won
the clearances, which I think is going to be really
key in this one. Like you look at the depth
and the injuries for Sydney, you've been woful, obviously not
good at all, but their midfield is still there. Like
you've got the likes of he and each Warner, like
mcnernie has been playing pretty well.
Speaker 2 (14:36):
You've got Roboto who's still gone.
Speaker 1 (14:37):
Well, if they can win the clearances, which I think
Richmond still could, then that's going to make them a
long way to win this game.
Speaker 3 (14:43):
I think Richmond will dominate him in the clearances.
Speaker 2 (14:46):
Dominate I don't know about that.
Speaker 3 (14:47):
I think they have more inside grunt he need Warner stars,
but I think on the outside, like you've got Taranto,
you've got Hopper. Who are they're they're they're known for clearance.
Speaker 2 (14:58):
Yeah, they're not known for their ball us, but they are.
Speaker 3 (15:00):
You go to Kmart there in the clearance section that
shout out to his ill work, how you gave him
sponsor us. Dion Press is in there. Nank is a
great clearance ruckman as well. I think Richmond are set
up for that clearance battle.
Speaker 1 (15:16):
Yeah, good call talking about you talking about Tim Taranto.
He averages twenty five disposing of five clearances against Sydney.
I think he had thirty five disposed of a goal
last time he played him as well, so he'll be
really keen to converse from here.
Speaker 2 (15:27):
You've also got Seth Campbell for the Tigers. We've talked
him up.
Speaker 1 (15:30):
He didn't get a goal last week, which is very surprising,
but he's still got seventeen goals this year, which is
awesome for a small forward. I think that puts him
top seven or eight for smalls this year, which is
awesome when your team sixteenth, and he actually has more
goals than Bobby Hill and Tyson Stengle this year.
Speaker 3 (15:44):
He's had a great days. Yeah, he's just an electric
little guy. He is lit, but he's probably my height,
but he's an excitement machine.
Speaker 2 (15:52):
He's been pretty good.
Speaker 1 (15:52):
And then on the Sydney side, I'll say some positives
and then we'll get into some other stuff. But Grundy
he's actually lifted in terms of his stats the last month.
I think because Sydney can going really bad. We've sort
of forgotten about that because last year wasn't that his best.
He started off really poor, but the last month, he's
averaged twenty two disposals and eight clearances, which is exactly
what you need from granted, that's why they recruited him,
and I'm actually very happy that he's been doing pretty
(16:14):
well there. But they continue to struggle. There was a
huge lost last game, so many injuries. Which name is
going to step up at the MCG. I think it
could be Charley Warner or has to step up? Who
do you guys think?
Speaker 3 (16:25):
And then I'll say mine, I think the lizard has
to the lizard on the G and I what do
you think about him playing forward?
Speaker 2 (16:33):
He can't kick? Yeah, I think without well.
Speaker 3 (16:36):
Then yeah that's great coming out of defense. Yeah, but
he can just go long out of defense.
Speaker 4 (16:40):
Whereas they played their best footy though when he's storing
off that half back and he's a lizard.
Speaker 2 (16:47):
Have a lot of floor option, yeah they don't.
Speaker 3 (16:49):
They don't have as and a half forward with a
bit of pace and pizzaz.
Speaker 4 (16:54):
I'm looking at someone in the forward line, to be honest,
you talked about moving Blakey forward. I think that just
obviously shows at the forward line are doing enough. I'm
kicking high on on scores, so I'm probably looking at
someone in that four line who anyone, anyone to step up?
Speaker 2 (17:07):
Anyone? Joel Hamlin step up to five?
Speaker 1 (17:10):
Yeah, I think Chad Warner twenty two goal, twenty two
disposals and one goal average at the MCG. I reckon
he could do do a job and do pretty well.
But yeah, they need a lot of guys to step up.
I'll just finished on this one. Sydney two and seven
in their last night at the MCG, the battle scars
there from the Grand Finals and a few other games.
They're obviously lost to Richmond the last two times there,
so on that my tip has to be the Tigers.
Speaker 2 (17:31):
I know they're the underdog's lads. Six points. I'm going
I can't believe I've tim and the Tigers, but they're
going to go three in a row at the MCG
against this once. They're gonna do it.
Speaker 3 (17:39):
Tigers by six.
Speaker 2 (17:40):
Oh no, I put two Tigers by two. Tis Does
that mean how we're all tipping against Sydney. Does that
mean Sidneys gonna win? Because we're all ti the Tigers.
Sydney will definitely win this now, no moging to them.
That is absolutely wild.
Speaker 1 (17:56):
Anyway, that's going to be a fun watch at one
twenty at the g all right today Geelong Verse Gold
Coast four fifteen down at the category G M HbA
part of the stadium. I was going to say Taxpayer
Park and I mixed them together JIMBA Stadium Leo Geelong
Verse Gold.
Speaker 2 (18:09):
Coast, Geelong Verse Gold Coast.
Speaker 3 (18:10):
Where else to start this than Jeremy Cameron leading the
Coleman But he has been getting a lot of junk
time goals, junk time.
Speaker 2 (18:21):
You can call him man, I'm not calling him as
long as Jimmy had in his pocket. Who goes to him?
Speaker 3 (18:26):
Is it Collins? Does Colins have the endurance to go
to him?
Speaker 2 (18:29):
What about John Noble? Just he can do it? Body
body Julan? I don't know it's going to be called.
But Colins? Isn't it quick?
Speaker 3 (18:38):
Is he quick enough to give I don't think so.
Julan's probably quicker. Yeah, it's a tough one. It's a
tough one for dimm to work out.
Speaker 2 (18:46):
Put Dimmer on him, Jesus, that's a blood bath. Is
he the key of the cats going? Now?
Speaker 3 (18:51):
I want to touch on Danger. He's a test this
week to come back. And when Danger was in there,
he was the main man, and Jesus was still going
along nicely but wasn't really himself. And now Danger's been
out and jess has been himself. So if Danger does
come back, is how's that going to work?
Speaker 2 (19:09):
Do we think?
Speaker 3 (19:09):
And if he doesn't come back, is Jesse really the
main guy for gold coach to stop?
Speaker 2 (19:14):
I don't know.
Speaker 1 (19:14):
I think they've They've won a lot of games even
when jess wasn't like doing that. Well, Like it comes
down to the so Oli Dempsy's been kicking so many
goals in the wing. I think he's up to like
nine en goals. It's more there other guys like Stengel
needs to kick a lot more goals Oli, Henry, Shannon Neil.
I know Shannon Neil is still young, but he needs
to kick a few more goals. It's around the other
guys because the only way they're going well in the
(19:36):
last quarters at the moment is when Jessic kicks four
or five in the last quarter. They shouldn't have to
rely on that. So Yeah, I don't think it comes
down to him. I think comes down to the other guys. Yeah,
is still going to be their their main target. Fifth,
it's going to be their main avenue. They're going to
kick them all the time.
Speaker 2 (19:50):
So it's just whether if he's not taken them, then
hopefully the Lorks of Bryan Meyer's danger. He was amazing
Stengel when it hits the deck, they do their stuff.
Speaker 3 (19:59):
And I think it's interesting if we compare to like Adelaide,
They've got so many options. You talk about them sharing
the load whereyea Geelong is a bit. But if the
others do lift in their scoring, and it's just because
we know that they can with Stengel Henry these guys,
that's just such a dangerous proposition.
Speaker 2 (20:19):
They're still kicking a hundred points for fun. Yeah, yeah
they could.
Speaker 1 (20:21):
If some guys they could kick one hundred and twenty,
like they could average one hundred and.
Speaker 2 (20:25):
Twenty in a month, if if even longer. Probably if
those other guys step.
Speaker 3 (20:28):
Up, yep, on the suns, I want to see how
they respond, because losing the free ou at home isn't ideal.
Speaker 2 (20:34):
Get in the team of the week.
Speaker 1 (20:35):
Just don't want I don't want to talk about that.
From Sunday's show, Marcus, we're beating the Gold Coast. But anyway,
worry about it.
Speaker 2 (20:41):
Don't worry about it.
Speaker 3 (20:42):
We're talking about the Suns here. Losing the free at
home probably wasn't on their bingo card this season, and
they've never beaten the Cats at GMHBA, so they need
to respond and respond in a big way. And I
want to look at the midfield matches because Bailey Smith
is in the Brownlow race, is firmly in the top three.
Speaker 2 (20:59):
Probably moment he's a favorite, I think. Is he a favorite?
Speaker 3 (21:02):
I'm pretty sure Max Holmes, he's the speeds that keeps running.
He's a great, great player for Collingwood. And then you
look at Gold Coast Collingwood gold Coast.
Speaker 2 (21:14):
Did I say Gold Coast Anderson and Round?
Speaker 3 (21:21):
Yes, yes, So I feel like Gold Coast could have
them on the inside, but I feel like Cats have
a lot more pace there.
Speaker 2 (21:27):
What do we think? No, I definitely agree with the
Cats definitely have the pace on on the outside. And
one of those has been a dempse players so far
this season. He's been awesome.
Speaker 1 (21:37):
Just a few stats on the fiel of the guys
you brought up, So you got Bailey Smith Anderson going
head to head, they're both top three and disposals in
the game. So that's that's an awesome batter they've both
been getting like thirty eight plus the last couple of weeks.
And then you've got Atkins, who's the clear leader in tackles,
but Rows also in the top three for tackles. So
if they play on each other, there's just going to
be a wrestle just out the back. I reckon because
they just love tackling. Well, they won't playing on each
other because that would just cancel out a match up.
(21:57):
They put round on bas probably who akins On and Anderson?
Speaker 2 (22:02):
Yeah, when we got on, When are we gonna start
calling this the Gary Ablut Cup? Gary? Are you taking Geelong?
Gary Ablett or Gold Coast Gary? I'm taking Geelong? But no,
but that's not I've had even some Geelong fans like
like tossing term with that. He did win a he
won a brown lot gold goes when they didn't win many.
Speaker 1 (22:20):
Games, like it's pretty long, it's easy long, yeah, fair,
all right, tips and margin lads?
Speaker 2 (22:24):
Who do we think Cats seventeen? Cats seventeen?
Speaker 1 (22:27):
I have gone the same Cats play twenty two. Yeah,
I think whoever's home game this was, we'd be all tipping.
So I'm going to go Cats by ten I think
it'll be a close one. All right, Before we get
into the next game, let's have a break with stock It.
Speaker 2 (22:37):
Hey, Leo, quick question, do you know what the AX means? Uh?
Speaker 3 (22:40):
Do you mean a fl X? No?
Speaker 2 (22:42):
Mate, the AX the Australian Stock Exchange. Oh man, I'm
absolutely clueless for that stuff. Wow, Lucky for you.
Speaker 1 (22:48):
Stock It is a free website that gives you everything
you need to know about punting stocks on the AX.
Speaker 2 (22:53):
Damn, that sounds pretty good. Where do I check them out?
Speaker 1 (22:56):
Check it out via stock are dot com, dot you
And it's even easy for your little pa brain on stand.
Speaker 2 (23:00):
Damn.
Speaker 1 (23:02):
All Right, Saturday night, the only Saturday night one is
GWS taking on Port Adelaide.
Speaker 2 (23:06):
This one is at.
Speaker 1 (23:07):
Monica Over seven thirty five pm. Here we go, lads.
So I want to touch on Jesse Hogan first. Obviously
for the Giants. He went goalless for the first time
since July twenty twenty three last week. He just loves
a goal. He loves two or three plus most games.
And I think this could be the comeback game. We've
had six times this year where Port Adelaide have conceded
four plus goals to an individual tour forward and we've
(23:29):
been talking about that all season. Is this the game
where he just goes I didn't kick any last week,
so I probably should kick like six or seven.
Speaker 2 (23:35):
Yeah, it could be.
Speaker 3 (23:36):
It's funny though. The last time we brought this up,
we were big on Josh Tracy and he kicked zero.
So hopefully we're not talking Hogan into kicking zero.
Speaker 2 (23:43):
True, I'm a big fan of Hogan getting on the
score board. Yeah, heavily, heavily. Yeah, we did talk up
the big Josh Tracy and he didn't do anything. Who
knows he could even come close to put Alaide score
on the weekend. That's a big call. That's a really
big Port Adelaide. Damn can I change my big goal?
That's great? That's a team big call? How about that? Sure?
(24:05):
There we go.
Speaker 1 (24:06):
We're not a team, Okay, you sit on different cats
to me. Generos back at Monica now a bit of
a worrisome record. They're at five and eleven across their
last fifteen.
Speaker 2 (24:15):
Over again sixteen. Yeah, that would make sense.
Speaker 1 (24:17):
Five eleven across their last sixteen. I don't know why
I've read fifteen. I'm not having a good show here,
not a strong record and it doesn't help. I think
it doesn't help when they travel so much.
Speaker 2 (24:24):
That's what I ran down here. They literally have to.
Speaker 1 (24:26):
Travel every week, Like they've had two weeks at enjury.
That's like their longest streak at home. They then they
travel here, here, and there and everywhere. They had six
different grounds for the first six rounds, Like it's really tough.
I think that's an underrated thing forgews and why they're
sometimes a bit inconsistent.
Speaker 2 (24:41):
Would you guys agree with that?
Speaker 3 (24:42):
I would agree with that, And that's a great point
that I think a lot of people would realize, is
that traveling with tag a lot out of them.
Speaker 1 (24:48):
And then I wanted to talk up Tom Green because
it's his home hometown. He loves playing in camera, but
he actually averages his second least disposals for a ground,
which really surprised me. Like it doesn't dominate there. They
have the Tom Green he'll ever run some day. They
get the red hair out and the red the red,
the orange hair out and the orange tops and things
like that.
Speaker 2 (25:05):
But I don't know, Tom Grownd, I thought you'd.
Speaker 1 (25:07):
Be a lot better there. I want to throw to
Juleo for the port adelaide side. I mean talking a
bit about j WS Miles Bergmann. They've inserted him into
the midfield with no Jason or Francis, and it's actually
been working all right.
Speaker 3 (25:17):
Yeah, So they've had to do it because of the
injury to horn Francis. Francis porn Francis fifteen center bounces
he's been averaging the last three weeks, which she didn't
have one before that, and I think it's a good move.
Speaker 2 (25:28):
He's a very good player down back.
Speaker 3 (25:30):
He's good with ball in hand, he's very poised, so
I think it's worked for him and I think that's
been a bit of a shining light. It's given them
another rotation other than just Rosie, Hornet and Butters when
you've got Drew and Wines as well. But Bergman is
a different player.
Speaker 2 (25:45):
So I like it.
Speaker 1 (25:46):
You like it, you like it very I think it
helps that they've got Jason Bergo back there because he
sort of plays that role where Mark he can have
a good kick on him off half back, because if
they didn't have him, Bergmann's a big chunk to take
out of their their half back line because they're back
line is so up and down, so I'm actually all
right with him.
Speaker 2 (26:02):
Ben in the midfield pot Adelaide.
Speaker 1 (26:04):
I think Marcus I was talking about this before, but
are a whole different side away from home.
Speaker 2 (26:08):
They're one and four on the road.
Speaker 1 (26:09):
And they actually average fifty six point four points away
from home compared to I think it's eighty five plus
at home, So really big drop off away from home.
Do we think that's going to be similar here? You
said Jesse Hogan is going to kick the biggest score.
Speaker 2 (26:22):
I think so. But there are there are shining wats
to put Outelaide like.
Speaker 3 (26:25):
There are little areas in the game where you're like, look,
they're not far off this, but if they you know,
if they can get another ball back in defense, if
they can get some a little bit more flareback. Obviously
Jason Warman for instance, won't be available for this game,
but they get a bit more flareback in.
Speaker 2 (26:39):
The side, I think they'll be right. But yeah, the
away record and scoring browers is pretty concerning, and I'm
a bit worried. There's no emotion in this game. Leah.
They're usually live for the emotion, but I don't know
if there's anything that can they can hold.
Speaker 3 (26:52):
They hat on now if there's no emotion, then they're losing. Yeah,
I agree, So what's your what's your tipy Giants by
twenty four? I think it'd be somewhat close to close.
I haven't been too convinced for GWWA, especially against Richmond
last week.
Speaker 2 (27:03):
Yeah, they just scraped out the line. Marcus. I'm going
to go a bit more dear here. I'm gonna do
the Giants by forty. Yeah, don't mind.
Speaker 1 (27:10):
I'm going to change, but I'm going to go fifty
just because Jesse Ogan is going to kick a big score.
I'm really worried about their.
Speaker 2 (27:17):
Offense, and the Giants will smoke America. It juxtapost.
Speaker 1 (27:22):
All right, Sunday Funday, as Lea likes to call it.
North Melbourne versus West Coast. What a blockbuster this is?
So is seventeenth verse eighteenth. It's three twenty at the
Great Hands Oval in Bunbury, the first ever AFL game there, Marcus,
it is well.
Speaker 2 (27:37):
North Melbourne, it's their home game. They playing games in
Perth against free our West Coast. It kills me. We
can't get a win and we're like, oh, we'll just
play our home games away. That's just great money. I know,
but it's so annoying.
Speaker 4 (27:51):
Well as spends behind the camera the ep she lets
call this the spoon bowl. Put this in the run
sheep before we all even had a look at it.
Speaker 2 (28:00):
But you're right. Is the first ever AFL game at Bumbrey,
but they did play there against each other in this
season's preseason.
Speaker 1 (28:07):
Yeah, so that was Eagles by two points. They had
nine fewer scoring shots and I was really low scoring
seventy one to sixty nine. So I think it's a
really small grand and might be a bit congested.
Speaker 2 (28:16):
So it could be.
Speaker 3 (28:16):
Pretty low scoring this one. And if it's going to be,
it's going to be a congested sort of game. You're
looking at those players who can burst out of the pack.
You can use their brute strength and force. You're looking
at Eldu nor Melbourne, but one in particular for West
Coast Harley Reid. We're watching Harley Reed because.
Speaker 2 (28:30):
He's just building into it.
Speaker 4 (28:31):
He's building into it and you could see he's becoming
a bit of a barometer at times.
Speaker 2 (28:37):
The West coastays. He has been for the crowd as well.
The goalie kicked against Geelong where he basically ran all
the way from half back and then ended up kicking
the goal from about ten meters out through a little
bit of fortune. But still his attitude has changed. At
West Coast. There's been talks behind the scenes that mentally
is just getting a little bit better. With his last
like three weeks. I'd say it's been that's a long
(28:59):
run for him ago too, and.
Speaker 4 (29:02):
A good thing for the Eagles is that it looks
like he's probably gonna be staying till next season. Obviously
contract and we'll say yes next season.
Speaker 2 (29:09):
I bet you're a bit sad by that.
Speaker 4 (29:11):
Well, if he stays next season, I assume that's the
last year of his contract, so he could leave then.
Speaker 2 (29:16):
Anyways, if you wanted.
Speaker 1 (29:17):
To just signed Zach Merri for another ten years. He's
boy a boy, not quite Nate Daddy, but he's getting it.
But Daddy's got a reference in his game.
Speaker 4 (29:27):
I'm I want to throw this to you Lean because
you're the North fan, but North off the boys? Is
the boy a good thing? Because you were actually showing
some promising signs in previous weeks. More it's the last
quarter against Collingwood.
Speaker 1 (29:40):
Yeah, No, I think the last month and a half
has actually been pretty solid in terms of Rue's standards,
not in terms of the rest of the league. But
there's been a lot of close games, a lot of
games we should have won. I think the buyer I
don't think's gonna affect it too much. Usually you got
a bit of momentum. We're used to having losses having
by like, I think we'll be okay with that. The
one thing I'm worried about is just this new ground.
I don't know if it's gonna Like North have a
(30:01):
really good record at Opta Stadium, Northtel.
Speaker 3 (30:04):
Around West Coast are playing there for the first time. Yeah,
they probably trained there and like they'll have all their
fans they training a little bit.
Speaker 2 (30:13):
I think our forwards.
Speaker 1 (30:14):
Could take advantage of their back line, like the likes
of Paul Curtis Laki, and they could have a huge game.
Speaker 4 (30:19):
So if North win this, they go how many how
many games ahead of West Coast A game in half
the game? Well, if they win this two games and
a half, so yeah, basically three games. So look, this
is a game where I think North should be winning.
And that's what I've tipped them.
Speaker 1 (30:31):
Bo three goals, three goals, Yeah, I'm going to say
the same three goals just because that should be the margin.
Speaker 2 (30:37):
We're not as close to West Coast as that, but
we we'll see.
Speaker 3 (30:40):
What do you reckon, l I think you are close
to the West Coast and it's going to be a
five point win for North Melbourne. But West Coast will
make this a really good game. I'm not like a
good game to watch, but like a close game. I
think it could be a fun game at a neutral vendor.
Speaker 2 (30:52):
And I also think West Coast are close to you. Okay,
that is fine.
Speaker 1 (30:56):
They played really well against you long on the weekend
by the last quarter, so fair play to them. Next
game at Sunday night because we've got the public holiday
on Monday. Carlton versus essenon seven twenty at the MCG
the Older Ivory.
Speaker 2 (31:08):
There's a big one, Lea, this.
Speaker 3 (31:10):
Is my game, and I want to start on Carlton's
twin towers. Okay, Harry McKay, Charlie Kerner against that smaller
Bombers backline. So it's Redmond going to go to mikayle
or Colonel Redmond.
Speaker 2 (31:23):
We have to I know we have, don't.
Speaker 3 (31:26):
Well, it's an interesting one because it's, as you mentioned
off the top of the show, Marcus wet weather football
this week, so maybe the tools won't have.
Speaker 2 (31:34):
An impact as a plan.
Speaker 3 (31:36):
That's a plan.
Speaker 2 (31:37):
Rain dancer. You looked at there's a hose.
Speaker 1 (31:41):
I think Brett's got left hose out on the g
and it's just getting absolutely drenched.
Speaker 3 (31:45):
The main session for Essendon this week was just doing
rain dancers the whole time. And then you look on
the other side, You've got Nate Caddy. Can he back
it up after a great performance last week? Wedering on
right probably is the matchup. But if how he gets
off the chain, we and can just go to Caddy.
So I just want to see how how we think
he can go and he back it up and be consistent,
(32:07):
especially in the wet What do we think?
Speaker 2 (32:09):
Yeah, well, I think if they do end up switching,
But then does Peter Wright's height become an issue against
the second best Carlton defender. But yeah, if Peter Wright
doesn't get off the chain, which I don't think he
will because we doing is probably the best fullback in
the competition, even Sam Taylor for me. But yeah, if
(32:31):
Weather can be a contributing factor, then it's the Smalls
that you really have to worry about. I don't want to.
Speaker 1 (32:35):
I wouldn't want to play Peter Wright if it's raining
like heavily before the game, I think he's useless.
Speaker 2 (32:41):
To play him play at that, but like easily if
it's boring. Yeah, but I'm just worried about pretty good.
Yeah he has been, But I'm just worried about golf
Scen's fitness.
Speaker 4 (32:52):
How many games can he run out, especially in this
kind of conditions in wet weather, it's going to be
a slog, it's going to be body on body, and
atually against TDK as well, you can.
Speaker 2 (33:02):
Just run around.
Speaker 1 (33:03):
That's I think TDK, I like some of the Carton
players in the wet, like Akers, is solid in the
where TDK as a ruck is actually really solid in
the wet, so I don't mind them.
Speaker 2 (33:11):
He loves taking the ball out of the ruck. TDK
as well. True overall, who do we think the wet
weather suits?
Speaker 3 (33:16):
Because I think Carleton have the I guess the inside
clearance players, but I look around the ground and I
think the Bombers might have them covered.
Speaker 4 (33:26):
I still lean towards Carlton as an as an Essen fan,
they just got those bullish sort of midfielders who look
when you when you need the clearance at the end
of the day and you just need territory in near ground,
I'm going Carlton, that's fair.
Speaker 1 (33:40):
Yeah, I'm the say I just think that there. Like
you said, their midfield, I'm just still going to the midfield,
I know, the other end of the ground. Possibly, I
think because they're a bit smaller, but Carton are just
a slight bit cleaner. I reckon to the ground.
Speaker 4 (33:50):
Both teams have struggled in the wet this season. Ye,
both against Colin would played and wet weather conditions. Yeah,
and both sort of struggled.
Speaker 3 (33:56):
To during school well I think playing colling with in
the web. Well, yeah, that's like conting wave the white
flag and that one true.
Speaker 2 (34:02):
You mentioned the midfield.
Speaker 3 (34:03):
Zach Merritt surprisingly averages his lowest numbers against Carlton than
any other side. Averages twenty two disposals. Play down back
last week off half back to continue or put back
in the midfield.
Speaker 2 (34:17):
I'm afraid that it might continue.
Speaker 4 (34:19):
It shouldn't, but I don't think it should because even
against Brisbane down the back line, I just it didn't work.
It allowed other players to shine, like Joy Colwell, who
was fantastic but if we want to get the best
out of Zach Merrett, who is the best player in
this Esmon side, then we have to put him in
the midfield. And it's games like this where we need
him his experience and his leadership. Yeah, he's a bit
(34:39):
he turned the ball over a little bit against Brisbane.
He's a bit wasted. I think his skills are still
the clearance work. He's got good kick heading forward as well.
Speaker 1 (34:47):
I think rather getting him out from the half back,
which Nick Martin has been awesome back there and a
few other players, I'd rather him up into the midfield.
Speaker 2 (34:54):
Yeah, don't mind that.
Speaker 1 (34:55):
Don't mind that, all right, we're getting tips of margin,
lads to tips and margin. Yeah, but this is actually
really really hard one because I couldn't really decide a
lot of hard ones, and I think Bombers by sixteen.
Speaker 2 (35:05):
I actually think.
Speaker 3 (35:06):
I know Carlton might have the tougher, brootier players for
the wet but I just think this is going to
be card Well like clearance master class over a great midfield.
Speaker 2 (35:17):
We know what Cordwell can do in the trenches. Durham.
Speaker 3 (35:20):
Is he going to play by the way he did
cop one against He should play so Durham. He's another
tough player who suited to the wet conditions. Nick Martin
User's class in the wet and doesn't the dry.
Speaker 2 (35:29):
So I don't know. I think I reckon Esendon win
this game. I just have a feeling about it. Wow. Interesting.
I wish I shared the same optimism as you, but
I Carlton buy twenty points.
Speaker 1 (35:41):
Yeah, I agree with you on that one. I'm going
to go Blues by ten. I think it would be
really close because it's going to be wet. But I
think that Essendon that close game against Brisbane last week
was a bit of a but I think that was
all the emotion going.
Speaker 2 (35:51):
Everyone was running them off.
Speaker 1 (35:52):
They sort of came to that game with a lot
of debutants, a lot of new guys, a lot of
young guys, and they.
Speaker 2 (35:56):
Just stepped up.
Speaker 4 (35:57):
You could tell they sort of ran out of legs
and obviously Carlton off the ball as well. An extra
probably six days rest, Yeah, it may prove effective.
Speaker 2 (36:04):
That'll help them all.
Speaker 1 (36:05):
Right, Monday, we got that big Freeze game. Get your beanies.
Check out our Freeze M and D. You can donate
to that for our fundraiser. We actually did a bit
of an ice bas yesterday, so make sure you donate
because Leo is still shivering from the ice bas challenge
that we did yesterday.
Speaker 2 (36:18):
Yeah sure, sure still but you're still running around. But yeah,
is out Friday. That video goes out Friday.
Speaker 1 (36:25):
But yeah, we're well pasted our goal of five hundred
were next goal is a thousand, I'm pretty sure.
Speaker 2 (36:28):
So make sure you donate for the link in our
socials and things like that. So that's good. Should we
show them a little snippet now?
Speaker 3 (36:34):
All right?
Speaker 2 (36:35):
Later can hardly talk is suvering. The full ice bun
video will be out Friday. Make sure you donate, please
don't a lot of it. It's way Homer. We thought
that saun up is looking at very nice, all right.
Speaker 1 (36:46):
The traditional Melbourne versus Collingwood now the King's Birthday clash
Monday three twenty at the mcg Marcus.
Speaker 2 (36:52):
Another big one. It's now the King's Birthday class so
it's a new game, it's.
Speaker 4 (36:56):
A new dawn and hopefully it will be for Melbourne
who have a record against Collingwood.
Speaker 2 (37:01):
They've only won one of the last twelve against the Magi.
What is going on there?
Speaker 4 (37:05):
And heading into heading into this picture. It looks like
it could be more of the same, but it is
going to be even tougher Alice Springs to a cold
rainy mcg for the Melbourne Demons.
Speaker 2 (37:17):
How big of a factor is this? Is it a
factor or is it more of an excuse if they
do get belted.
Speaker 3 (37:22):
I think it's a factor. I don't think it can
be an excuse if you're you're prepare for it. You
know what you're doing. You're a professional football club. You're
prepare for it, so it can't be an excuse.
Speaker 1 (37:31):
It's a factor though, it is a factor, but I
don't think it should affect the way we play sport
right now. You prepare so much like you just said that,
they're athletes, like they could play in Antarctica and then
play in Alice Springs and it's not going to affect.
Speaker 2 (37:44):
It that they go off well.
Speaker 4 (37:48):
If any team was going to play well in Antarctica
would be Collingwood because they are the best team in
wet weather conditions.
Speaker 2 (37:53):
What about icy conditions.
Speaker 4 (37:56):
They know they need a bit of cold palmer in
this Chelsea reference, but that's good, but they are they
are the best in wet weather. They showed that they've
played an Zac Day, they were terrific and it's the
likes of the day Cosses.
Speaker 2 (38:10):
They're just so below their legs, yeah, clean below their legs.
Speaker 4 (38:13):
We saw that in semi dewy conditions against Hawthorne. But
they've got the best wet weather players in the competition.
Compare that to Melbourne's kicking, which has been horrendous recently
and they will need to be on form on Monday.
But look comparing that to Collingwood's efficiency inside, it's a
(38:34):
vast difference. The D's are ranked eighteenth, the worst in
the competition. The goal accuracy just going at forty one
point four percent.
Speaker 1 (38:42):
I reckon they were like five spots ahead and then
last week because they kicked seven goals twenty one and
then they've dropped down to add it because I agree
that they've been pretty bad, but surely before last week they.
Speaker 4 (38:53):
Were could have could have been skewed a twenty bit
but true, but still it doesn't make for great reading.
You compare that to Collingwood, who are first in the
comp petition for short efficiency. I don't know the difference
between those two stats. Short efficiency and Collingwood are ranked
first in the competition at that and you could you
could just see that. But their ease and delivery inside fifty,
(39:14):
they always look like they're going to go. They're going
to score inside fifty and therefore Lord's on fire, especially
with Jamie Alie he could be another one that could
have a big game.
Speaker 2 (39:23):
And who goes to him from the Melbourne defense MCV MICKV.
Speaker 1 (39:27):
But like he Jamie, I could plain anyone right now,
he's kicking three three at least, I reckon.
Speaker 4 (39:32):
You did see that Melbourne struggled with the small forwards
last weekend, Butler kicked four Higgins. I can't remember exactly
how many a couple he kicked one or two, So that's.
Speaker 2 (39:43):
One to watch. Absolutely the Collingwood defense.
Speaker 1 (39:45):
You said the weather obviously suits calling. I'll agree any
agreements to that. But when Melbourne played their best, they've
got really good wet weather. But like track, all of
our at their best, I know they're not all playing
at their best. I would solid in the way even
gone like he's had some really good games in the
way he just grinds it out.
Speaker 2 (40:00):
Gorn Verus Cameron's going to be.
Speaker 1 (40:01):
Yeah, do we think that's going to be one of
the I was gonna say, which is the best matchup
in the Gorn versus Cameron will be fun?
Speaker 2 (40:06):
Yeah, I think that's actually a fun one.
Speaker 1 (40:08):
And then this could be I reckon, this could be
still a good game for Cozy. I know it's against
the Pies, but he had that bad week last week,
and I think he bounce back.
Speaker 3 (40:16):
Quin Or you might think clams him. He clam, he
restricts him. I think another dub for Quana coming up,
another scalp.
Speaker 1 (40:24):
That would be a big one. All right, they always
give a medal for this one, So what do we
think the best on? Just just off the cuff the calf.
Speaker 2 (40:31):
Here we go. It's going to get clos Oh wow,
you know what, No, I love again. He got the
Anza medal. Let's make it too for too like that
ned long ned long. We love him. I don't mind
that at all. I love him.
Speaker 1 (40:46):
We talked him up on the weekend and you just
reminded me how good of a gaming Quana. He's pretty
good in the wet two. Why not he's going to
have twenty five touches, going to keep a goal off
Ken a lockdown player? Get yeah, the medal if he
gets twenty five touches in a goalie will you're dreaming
power There we go.
Speaker 3 (41:03):
Nick is obviously kidding Jamie Allis's shout to Jamie r. Yeah,
if he kicks, he could kick four plus in this one,
have fifteen twenty touches.
Speaker 2 (41:10):
He's that good, especially in the wet.
Speaker 1 (41:12):
All Right, tips and margin for the King's Birthday clash,
Pies by four goals, I think four.
Speaker 2 (41:17):
Goals, Poise by f five goals.
Speaker 1 (41:22):
Five goals. I'm going to say two goals. I reckon
Melbourn can put up a fight. Last week was a blip.
They should have won. I know they missed a lot
of goals. They were the better team, like kicking back
kicking is bad football, was the bad team and they've
beaten Awesome since round five. So I think they're going
to keep it close. Two goals and if it's wet,
that'll help him out a little bit more. All Right,
that's all the games of round thirteen. Let's get into
(41:42):
the lock of the week and the big calls will
start off with the lock. Now, lads just looking down
the barrel and we've got to improve on this otherwise
we might be kicked from the show.
Speaker 2 (41:50):
That's what the higher upset. So I need a good lock.
Speaker 3 (41:52):
Yeah, Leah lock of the week, lock it in Eddie
Paul Curtis two plus goals like that, Yeah, I wonder why.
I just don't think the Eagles have that smaller matchup
in the for their back line for an opposition small
forward because he's so strong Curtis, so I just don't
think anyone can match his strength. I think he'll get
a few one on ones. He's a good said shot
(42:14):
averages two and a half goals a game.
Speaker 2 (42:15):
Thank you very much. That's my lock. Tick tick Marcus,
what's your luck?
Speaker 4 (42:19):
Well, Gokus have never won at GMHBA Stadium and I
think that's going to continue.
Speaker 2 (42:24):
That's my lock. They will not win this game and
unluck last week. I'm not going to include a margin.
I think that's a very mistake that one. Just say
one point one one plus hilarious.
Speaker 1 (42:39):
Jenne's beat Port Adelaide is my lock. The Giants have
won through the last four home meetings.
Speaker 3 (42:44):
The team that nearly just lost the Richmond is your lock.
Speaker 1 (42:47):
But Richmond could probably beat Port Adelaide at this point.
Portlaida their fifteenth on offense. I think the Giants like Jesse,
you can kick a big score.
Speaker 2 (42:54):
Toby Green. I think it's gonna have another big game.
That is my lock. He's a little bit these the
skeed on this week.
Speaker 1 (43:00):
I think I'm really confident that one. It's a really
tough tipping week. If I had to put my house
on one, put your house on it, I don't have
a house. All right, big call without our locks. Let's
get into the big calls. I'm feeling good about the
big calls this week. We'll start with Marcus this time. Yeah, well,
(43:21):
my big call is going to happen.
Speaker 2 (43:22):
A big call by the way tomorrow, Thank you, thank you.
I haven't hit one. I haven't hit one so far
this season, so it's happening. It's happening.
Speaker 3 (43:30):
I got I got burned by Jeremy Cameron last week
in five to two for six plus. But I'm going
to go Ed Richards the thirty plus disposals and a
girl against the Hawks because look, he's you look at
the Western Bulldogs midfield and he's not the guy you
take someone to that you know you've got, you got born,
you've got liver.
Speaker 2 (43:49):
You can sort of lack that influence. But Ed Richards
is arguably one of the most improved players in the
competition this season, and he's going to prove one. Been
hitting the scoreboard too. So I like the goal.
Speaker 1 (43:59):
He's really improved. He's just overall guy. I think even
his tackling is better. He's two way running, he's goal kicking.
Speaker 2 (44:04):
Love it.
Speaker 1 (44:05):
So I really like that big I'm going to just say, though,
I don't know if that's the biggest call.
Speaker 2 (44:09):
That's the least big call we've had in a while.
Thirty and a goal. He averages around thirty.
Speaker 3 (44:14):
He doesn't, surely doesn't.
Speaker 2 (44:17):
I could be off there for a brother. Leo is
the ruler of the big calls, and he allowed it.
Speaker 3 (44:21):
So I am god, thank you.
Speaker 2 (44:23):
You wants your big call, I big call. You're going
to hate this one. I'm gonna love it. Harley Ready,
twenty plus and two goals.
Speaker 3 (44:28):
I just feel like he's been building, he's been getting,
you know, eighteen and one, fifteen and two, seventeen and one,
nineteen and one. We're going to go twenty and two
and he's going to burst through the packs all day
and he's just going to say to North Melbourne, hey,
maybe he should have tanked that last game.
Speaker 2 (44:41):
And taken me.
Speaker 3 (44:42):
Hey, we'll take the w and he can take the
twenty two goals. That's all good. He might take the flag.
You might win the battle, but he's going to win
the war.
Speaker 1 (44:52):
Oh wow, wisdom, wisdom, I don't move on, move on
my big call before later keeps talking Tint twenty five
plus and two goals. He hasn't had this stat line
for two years, but last year thirty five disposals and
a goal against Sydney. Does not often kick the two
is He is not over hitting the score scoreboard, but
he often hit kicks one goal. I think this is
(45:12):
the time Richmond are going to get a win. And Tim,
that's not part of my big core. I'm just putting
that out there.
Speaker 2 (45:18):
And two goals.
Speaker 3 (45:19):
It's so broud about GWS losing to pour Outelaide by
the way, No they're not.
Speaker 2 (45:24):
They're winning by fifty points. I already said that. This
is like you tippinst Kilda every week. I love, I
love these guys.
Speaker 1 (45:36):
