Speaker 1 (00:00):
AFL Today's around fifteen. The rap is here. I'm up
and about for North Melbourne and very very wrong. I
was very wrong about the Brisbane lines.

Speaker 2 (00:07):
What do we talk about? Is this the end of
Michael Voss as Sydney back? Are they just smoky to
play in the finals this season?

Speaker 1 (00:14):
Make sure you check out AFL Today right now. Crownd
fifteen is done and dusted and welcome back to the
AFL Today Show, brought to you by Stockett. I'm your host,
Liam McCallion also knows the stats guy. We've got the
Knuckleads on the couch. We'll start off with Leo actually
matching shirts today as well and the fresh fade.

Speaker 2 (00:31):
I'm loving it.

Speaker 3 (00:33):
Yeah, no, I'm looking good.

Speaker 4 (00:34):
I don't know about feeling good, but I'm ready to
talk about a very good round of football.

Speaker 1 (00:39):
I thought there was some nice moment there was. There
was some very nice moments which will touch on. We've
also got Marcus Barzano can't get into the building, but
he did make it in eventually.

Speaker 2 (00:46):
A gouche. I did make it in. If I have
to force my way in, I will do it. Please
don't arrest me. I don't have any weapons, but I
will force my way in.

Speaker 4 (00:55):
Nothing will stop him from filming AFL Today, except for
when he was sick.

Speaker 1 (00:58):
Except when I'm very happy that you're back because Leon
and I were just gone through. He hasn't listened to
me enough and I think you do much well. Exactly right,
exactly right. Make sure you subscribe to AFL Today show
on YouTube.

Speaker 2 (01:08):
But it goes a long way.

Speaker 1 (01:09):
We've actually got an interview coming up on Tuesday, Leo
with your very on the Hawks man Massimo Ambrosio.

Speaker 4 (01:15):
Yes, my brother from Italy, Massimo. We chatted to him.
It was a great vibe he got around the chat
and yeah, just go check it out when it's out.

Speaker 1 (01:22):
There was even a shout out to Joe Webble, which
was of course mate and he's as well and he's
not so yeah, check that out on Tuesday, and yeah,
make sure you subscribe becase we're going to do a
lot more of that type of content across the socials
as well, which are across x, Facebook, Instagram, TikTok and
that's for more footy content all season long.

Speaker 2 (01:37):
Make sure you.

Speaker 1 (01:37):
Subscribe to AFL Today, are you and all of them
except for Facebook which is Aussie Rules Today.

Speaker 2 (01:41):
All right, let's get into it.

Speaker 1 (01:43):
Round fifteen results Thursday Night Footy, add up the stadium.
I don't think Marcus wants to talk about this one,
but Leo will Freeman sixteen goals eight one hundred and
four Essenon nine goals nine to sixty three.

Speaker 3 (01:54):
Leah, Well, we talked about.

Speaker 4 (01:55):
This one being, you know, a low scoring game on
the scrappy side, but it wasn't you know it was?
It was high scoring a to a certain extent, and
Frio's midfield just really clicked into gear. And this one
plus eighteen and clearances the one two punch of so
wrong and Brayshaw was superb throughout the game. Essendon just
did not have an answer. They combined for sixty four disposals,

(02:15):
eleven clearances and three goals. So we know how good
they are defensively. But if they put it on the
score ball, that's the next step to their game.

Speaker 1 (02:22):
Would you rather this is very off the cuff the
duo at Geelong, Holmes and Baths or Brashaw, who's a
bit more too way, that's a great question of the cuff.
I think I'm taking so wrong on Brashaw.

Speaker 4 (02:33):
I just think they offer you a bit more defensively,
recency buys, I reckon I think I'm how's that recency buys.
Smith and Holmes have probably been better this year.

Speaker 2 (02:41):
I'd go wrong on Brashaw as well.

Speaker 4 (02:44):
Yeah, a little bit more defensively, but it also helps
when they've got Luke Jackson in and hitting it down
to them.

Speaker 3 (02:51):
He was sort of the main guy that stood up
in that first half. You know, he was against Vigo
on debut. I actually thought Vigo was commended.

Speaker 2 (02:58):
He had like fifteen touchdowns.

Speaker 3 (03:00):
He's chase down tackle was really good. Show that.

Speaker 4 (03:02):
You know. He has a bit of grunt about him,
a bit of five, bit of dog, but Jackson was electric.
Three goals in twenty one.

Speaker 3 (03:08):
Disposals question for you boys.

Speaker 4 (03:11):
We've talked about bits and bobs here and there, but
when you've got Jackson and the very big tools, do
they really need Seaun Darcy?

Speaker 2 (03:18):
No, No, no, not at all. I don't think so
so because you look how influential Jackson can be, and
you saw him contest as well.

Speaker 3 (03:25):
Yep.

Speaker 2 (03:25):
On the ground, he's just he's roving it like a rover.
He's a midfielder. He's a midfielder. He's another midfielder in
there and coming here was obvious to see coming against
the debutante. Just when you get down and dirty and
if you can just get one handball out of the contest,
it opens the game up completely. And when that's coming
from your ruckman who's very ajoel, you can open the
game up.

Speaker 1 (03:45):
There's also been a couple of games this season where
Sean Darcy's had like under six touches, just had no influence.
You don't need him, you could probably if he goes
to another club. He but just might need a fresh start.
He's not old by any chance. He's still pretty young
as well, so he might need a fresh start and
he might be all right.

Speaker 2 (03:58):
But he doesn't.

Speaker 5 (03:58):
I don't really needy because even Tracy chips.

Speaker 1 (04:02):
The only argument I'd say for Darcy is that you'd
probably want Tracy just to.

Speaker 5 (04:05):
Stay out forward.

Speaker 3 (04:06):
But they have a miss and Voss as well, who
can play forward.

Speaker 2 (04:09):
Amos also again he didn't have a great game on
Thursday night, because we have to be concerned about him
a little bit.

Speaker 4 (04:16):
Yeah, he's a young player. I think he'll be okay.
It's probably just one of those ones. He's gone through
a bit of a down pass, you know, Cadman probably
went through that last year a little bit, and we
see what he's doing now, which touch on when the
Giants Sun's game. Look, I know this was a forty
point game, but I actually thought there were some really
nice highlights in this one. So Wrong's running goal from
the boundary for fifty out. That was a fantastic goal.

(04:37):
Vossus Sally against his old side, as Betty said, he's
doing chesties.

Speaker 1 (04:44):
Bet has had a bit of a resurgence. I just
want to put that out of the line. I just
want to Yeah, he's been good.

Speaker 4 (04:48):
When you got Pat Voss the prancing pony, prancing, I
don't mind that. And shy Bolton he was getting stuck
in and then telling them the scoreboard saying a pry,
I've kicked one on your head.

Speaker 3 (04:59):
I would have rolled you up.

Speaker 2 (05:00):
But that's because it was against the Nesson and Grammar team.
He's rolling off a bunch of kids. But that's like
and he got chased down to us running into an
open goal. So he got his. He got his, he's
got his, he got his whack.

Speaker 4 (05:10):
Look for the bummers, we don't want to be too
harsh on him. Three games in eleven days is always
going to take a toll on it, especially aside that's
you know, riddled with injuries. But we this is what
this show does. We're gonna give Nate Caddy love.

Speaker 2 (05:25):
Yes, Nate Daddy please, Daddy paulhand Boy's real name.

Speaker 4 (05:29):
Ye, sorry my bad, Nate Daddy please come to Hawthorne.

Speaker 2 (05:33):
He's not real. He he just looks like he can
do everything for someone who's nineteen years old to just
have the confidence to take people on the mark and
run down the wing of Opta Stadium and deliver a senner,
low chiseled ball to an area where you look there
wasn't much presenting. Let's be honest.

Speaker 1 (05:50):
He was making some of your players present where they
they like, that's a midfielders job or a wingers job,
and he's doing it.

Speaker 2 (05:56):
That's enough form.

Speaker 4 (05:56):
I didn't realize how good of a kick he was,
Like I knew obviously for goal like he's a little bit,
but his field kick is His field kicking has really
surprised me. So it probably just has to work on
his consistency, but that'll come. He's nineteen, as he said, so.

Speaker 2 (06:10):
Yeah for sure. And I think when we have a
more fit side, when there's players that are taking more
key defenders. Top key defenders get a bit of a rest,
but it probably won't be too long until the number
one key defender for the opposition actually ends up going
to Caddy instead of Peter Roikes.

Speaker 3 (06:28):
I think that'll be the case very soon.

Speaker 5 (06:29):
Friday Night footy, it's out of the category.

Speaker 2 (06:31):
It was a wide out, but.

Speaker 5 (06:32):
I don't know if they ended up turning up.

Speaker 1 (06:33):
But Geelong six goals at fifteen fifty one, Brisbane fourteen
goals eight ninety two.

Speaker 4 (06:39):
Hang on, hang on, hang on, hang on, hang on
on the power swings on Monday.

Speaker 3 (06:45):
We'll check it out on.

Speaker 4 (06:46):
Our socials stats guy is quoted saying Brisbane cannot win
the flag.

Speaker 3 (06:50):
They are thoughts and then they go and beat A
long look. Any comments, sir, any comments A.

Speaker 1 (06:56):
Speak, no look, every right to me out. But you
were not against me calling the frauds last week.

Speaker 3 (07:03):
Yeah, I wasn't against your calling the frauds. But I
saw making win the flag.

Speaker 2 (07:06):
They definitely can win the flags. We like to take it.

Speaker 1 (07:10):
We'll take account, we'll take it. Say you're a big
I apologize the Lions. The line's going to win the flag.
You're a big dumbdio and I'm a big dumb idiot.

Speaker 2 (07:21):
The wide out during my cheating during my year eleven
exams was more effective than this wide out.

Speaker 3 (07:30):
To also surrender on the field as well.

Speaker 2 (07:32):
Oh my god, let's get into the game. Let's get
into the game.

Speaker 1 (07:36):
This is the Lion's first win at gm HbA Stadium
since two thousand and three. We talked about you were
two years old the lines.

Speaker 2 (07:44):
Uh, I was two years old as well.

Speaker 3 (07:46):
I forget what.

Speaker 2 (07:48):
Are you guys talking about over there?

Speaker 1 (07:51):
Thirty yeah, forty insane hot start from Brisbane.

Speaker 5 (07:54):
They were unbelievable. In the first quarter.

Speaker 1 (07:56):
You had ky Loman that took three hangars just in
the first quarter. It was the full Kai or full Lomen,
the new one from full Joe Joe. I think so
because he kicked one out in the full, he kicked
one sideways, kicked a goal early. So he ended up
with two goals to seven marks, and I reckon three
of those seven marks were hangers. He was absolutely incredible, incredible.
I think this is the best the lines have played

(08:16):
all season.

Speaker 2 (08:17):
Do you what do you think on that? That?

Speaker 4 (08:18):
Yeah, it's probably better than the Hawks. I think it
was that Hawks and was still very good too.

Speaker 2 (08:23):
I'd say probably there was a quarter there where the
Hawks against the Hawks where they probably played the best footy,
But overall, for the entirety of the match, you probably
lean towards this one were pretty inaccurately.

Speaker 1 (08:35):
Yeah, yeah, they were a little bit in accurate six
goals fifteen, But in terms of being the overall game,
like you said, Marcus, they kicked.

Speaker 5 (08:40):
They were headed by the Cats by at least three
goals every quarter.

Speaker 2 (08:43):
So they just.

Speaker 1 (08:43):
Kept kicking, kicking goals and goals and goals and kicking
really accurately, which we haven't seen for Brisbane the last
couple of Sea even last year. They were kicking so
many behind against GWS GWS over in the season and
we just talked about this at the start for Leo
calling me out, but are they back? Are they up
there for the flag? Can we put them in our
top five?

Speaker 4 (09:01):
So last week we were like the Lions, they're no good,
they were, they're Fords, and then yes they're gonna win
the flag.

Speaker 3 (09:07):
Now they're gonna do it.

Speaker 2 (09:08):
Are they backed? They never left?

Speaker 1 (09:10):
That's going Oh is that wrong?

Speaker 2 (09:12):
They never left? Okay? They did? Thought according to your power.

Speaker 1 (09:16):
Rankings, but the power rankings are just so knowledgeable gospel gospel.
So I thought mcluggage was tagging bads, which was an
interesting one, and I think that worked really well. I
think Bally Smith still had twenty eight touches, but he
was really in effective. Had twelve turnovers, so which is
not ideal at all. And then you've got to talk
about the man. I think I got this in check
out our TikTok and our socials. I did a filter

(09:38):
show down with Leo and I picked Logan Morris in
that showdown and he was bagging me.

Speaker 5 (09:42):
Logan Morris goes bang again and kicks five.

Speaker 2 (09:44):
Yeah.

Speaker 4 (09:44):
Morris and Cadman both had good weeks after they backed
it up like the week before.

Speaker 3 (09:48):
Yess. Yeah, he's going to be a player.

Speaker 4 (09:50):
So good.

Speaker 3 (09:51):
Yeah, good on the league, good kick. Sometimes a little
bit sketchy for.

Speaker 1 (09:54):
Goal, but overall overall but yeah, he's so good. And
then you've got a cam rain of three goals nine
in disposal. I think he's having it pretty underrated year.
He's been pretty consistent for once, which is awesome. And
then the barometer the last couple of wins that Brisbane
have had. I think Darcy Wilmot's been a big part
of that. He gets them going, kicked a goal, He
ran past about three people and kicked a goal, and
he just got the whole Brisbane team going. And I

(10:14):
think he's a big part of that. Smoothie operator. Yeah, yeah, Smoothieth.

Speaker 4 (10:20):
I love a good bananas watermelon Darcy Wilmot, dark Darcy watermelon.

Speaker 2 (10:25):
Darcy is your favorite smoothie flovor I feel bad for
a living.

Speaker 1 (10:30):
In the back.

Speaker 3 (10:31):
Let's move on now.

Speaker 2 (10:32):
I just want to talk about Gelong.

Speaker 5 (10:33):
Just one positive for Geelong, which you could say every week.

Speaker 2 (10:36):
Jazz.

Speaker 1 (10:37):
He is in unbelievable for me, no one else. He
kicked four of their six goals j four of their
six goals three goals danger and he's big three fiftieth
zero goals three and they just couldn't keep up at
the pace of the game. I thought tom Akins was
pretty solid as well. I think he's having an underrated season.
Tom Akins, He's an underrated player, very underrated in general.

Speaker 2 (10:55):
So he was really good.

Speaker 1 (10:56):
And then to finish off light so obviously Brisbane amazing
win down at the category their final, got that hoo
doo off their back.

Speaker 5 (11:01):
But both sides run home.

Speaker 1 (11:03):
Here is very interesting, so we talked about on the
socials if you want to check that out as well. Leo,
the Lions, they've ranked the hardest in the league for
their run home, so they've got to play five sides
in the top eight for the rest of the season.
And then the Cats are ranked the easiest, so they've
got to play five games left at their home Grand GMHBA,
which they've lost a few there, but still that's pretty easy,
and they get five games against the bottom six that

(11:24):
the current bottom six. So although the Cats lost this game,
I'm still backing them for top two just because that
easy run.

Speaker 3 (11:29):
I agree with that.

Speaker 1 (11:30):
And then Lines, we probably have a bit more confidence
now because they'll get confidence from that last win.

Speaker 2 (11:36):
What do you guys think?

Speaker 4 (11:37):
Yeah, I think with the Lines, we want to see
it for a couple of weeks of this consistent performance
and then I think they can really make a case
for top two.

Speaker 3 (11:43):
I know they're in there now, but in the Cat.

Speaker 2 (11:46):
Straw, it's just too good to pass up. Yeah, I agreed.
I agree with Leo. The Lions straw is tougher, but
we really yet to see that this season consistently. We'll
check back on them in a couple of weeks.

Speaker 1 (11:57):
On good call, I'll awesome win by the line. Let's
get into Saturday. Why not Saturday at the mcg my
beloved North Marlbourne against Carlton. I can't even get to
talk about this. How good lads Carlton at ten goals
thirteen seventy three, North Melbourne thirteen goals six eighty four.
Never end out, Never end out, Marcus, Marcus has to
do this game.

Speaker 2 (12:19):
Did I get a hint of a little bit more
energy with that match intro? Just for that than usual?
I feel bad for taking Sat Squys thunder, So Spence
just don't go back on him for the rest of
the second.

Speaker 1 (12:31):
I want a sandwich back off producer Olivery actually as well,
so we're one switch back sandwich. Yeah, we had sandwich
bets for the Carlton and North games, but she still
wins on aggregate.

Speaker 2 (12:42):
Well, it was a game of forget about a game
of two halves, boys, This was a game of two quarters.
Really who played it was? Really who played the better quarter?
It was North in the second where they were superb.
They just looked so dangerous inside fifty deep entries. They
were causing mistakes from the Carlton defense. They won the
second quarter thirty eight to one more whereas Carlton, you know,

(13:04):
it was probably it was too little, too late. Obviously
when they scored thirty five to zero in the formal quarter.
That was probably off the back of that Michael Voss
spray at three quarter time. But also if you could
see you were playing that bad, whatn't you just give
them the spray after halftime? Let's be honest, No wrong,
but Liam, Yes, that second quarter in particular, was that

(13:26):
the best football you've seen North Melbourne play under Clarko.

Speaker 5 (13:30):
I'm probably gonna say yes. It might be a little
bit of a recncy bias.

Speaker 1 (13:33):
That and the Collingwood game where we got up by
fifty six against the Pies, like obviously an awesome team
last couple of years. They're probably the two games. But
just the free flowing footy. Everything looked good and there
was no mistakes, There was quick hands, there was no fumbles,
maybe one from Alderu actually Leo in that quarter, but
probably yeah, under Clarko and there's a bit more faith.
There's guys that look like they were going to get

(13:53):
the listed probably this year have been stepping up. You've
got the likes of our mac Luke McDonald. You got
Toby Pink that's going to touch on later, and a
few other guys just step even Zach Fisher coming on
Ato the sub got too hot the balls when he
came like things like that.

Speaker 5 (14:05):
So I would say he's getting.

Speaker 1 (14:08):
I don't know if I'm still all in on Clarko,
but he's getting the best out of players over the
last month and a half, which I didn't think was possible.

Speaker 2 (14:14):
Were you talking that he's getting the best out of
players and it was your best football that you've seen.
He held onto the win this film, and he held
onto the wing. So is this I'm gonna puise a
question to you lads. Is this the end for Michael Voss?
Is that was that the last straw? Losing to North?
They got West Coast? Well, they had West Coast last
week they got the win. That was going to be
a big three weeks that'sen in West Coast and North

(14:35):
they finished two and one. Is it the end for
VOSSI and a new a new dawn for Clarko?

Speaker 4 (14:41):
What do you boys think can't na Vos when they're
still a mathematical chance of finals.

Speaker 2 (14:47):
I can't.

Speaker 1 (14:47):
Yeah, I agree with that one, and yeah, but there
we go.

Speaker 3 (14:50):
It's not good. It's not looking good.

Speaker 1 (14:52):
I think I don't know if he's the best coach
going around. But I watched that before. But like the
skill errors, Voss's not gone kick this one sideways, handball
this one to the ground, like the skillers for Carlton fans,
I'm just speaking on behalf of them.

Speaker 5 (15:06):
That's that was the That was the difference.

Speaker 1 (15:08):
That was I don't think it was anything coaching what
I think some of the skillers from Carlton were.

Speaker 4 (15:12):
But I don't think their game plan is I don't
think they have an identity though when you play like that,
you meant the skill eras that's fair, that's all bossy,
But I don't see.

Speaker 3 (15:20):
A way of like what what is their way of scoring?
You know what I mean?

Speaker 4 (15:24):
Like we know how like Colin will want to play,
we know how these top four sides want to play.

Speaker 3 (15:28):
We don't know how Carton.

Speaker 2 (15:30):
When they lose one of McCoy or Walsh, McCloy or Kerno. Sorry,
you can you can tell the difference and the lack
of your scoring prowess so that they do have, but
we we wanted to look at a match up and
we talked about it on the Thursday show TDK vers
Sherry that was going to be. That was the one
that everyone was looking their lips at, looking at who's
going to state their claimers to, you know, leading that

(15:52):
all Australian sort of ruckman spot with Max Corn and
then came in and then and then came in and
so of you know, it took this thing out a
little bit because Pittnet was better majority of the time.
It wasn't that great, I thought, but in terms of yeah,
in terms of stats, both ruckmen were fairly even. I
think Jerry twenty eight hit outs TDK nineteen with limited

(16:15):
rough time eight clearances between them, five for Jerry, three
for t DK and but what the difference was the
one goal for Jerry, which was about forty Yeah, the
set shot and it just really spurred momentum on everyone's
got around Jerry as well. But I want to point
out that another tall matchup towards the forward line. You

(16:37):
want to you want to highlight this leader because you
talked about what could be the influence with Toby pink On,
Charlie Kernel and Charlie Kerner, will he play fit? Is
he playing underdone? Leo? What what did you make of
Kurno's game?

Speaker 4 (16:50):
Firstly, I want to give a big shout out to Todays.

Speaker 3 (16:53):
I can't wait Toby p Tuesday.

Speaker 4 (16:55):
I don't mind that he was superb on him all day,
didn't make any mistake and he has now for.

Speaker 3 (17:00):
I reckon the last month and a half Toby Pink.
But Charlie, he's been.

Speaker 4 (17:05):
This is the third time in two seasons Carton have
played him underdone, Hawthorne last year, Hawthorne this year and
on the weekend.

Speaker 3 (17:12):
It's the same with Weeding. Weeding clearly was not right.

Speaker 4 (17:14):
I know he played out the game and it's all
well and good, but sometimes it's okay to go all right,
this bloke he might be, he might not be fit.
Let's let's put on the sub. Let's actually make a
few moves. Let's we'll move McGovern back. Think of it
as an opportunity in a way, but no, they it's
a desperation player.

Speaker 3 (17:33):
In my opinion, we can't win without these guys to play.
And it's like you probably can win without them, just
you know, use your brain a bit.

Speaker 1 (17:40):
Yeah, would you rather just say lemme came in, or
you rely a bit more on McGovern or a half
fit Kuroner. Usually you'd say Kurner. But from past performances
when he's a bit underdone, then yeah, i'd be I'd
be resting him.

Speaker 5 (17:51):
Like even if they lost that without Kurono.

Speaker 1 (17:54):
It probably would have looked better in the media. It's
not great, but yes, you know what I mean. Agreed definitely,
but yeah, not good for his comp and it's not
good for car. I thought Ollie Holland started the game run.
I thought Georgia it was pretty strong in the midfield,
but yeah, outside of that, it was a bit a
bit frustrating for Blues fans.

Speaker 2 (18:07):
So no good at all there.

Speaker 1 (18:08):
All right, Saturday, let's get into it. Adelaide over Port
Adelaide Verus Sydney Port Adelaide seven goals, ten fifty two.
Sydney got the job done, even though they were a
bit inaccurate. Nine goals seventeen seventy one. Leo was they
looked like themselves in here to look back.

Speaker 3 (18:22):
They did, and he Andy was awesome. I thought, twenty
eight disposals, two goals. He just looked happy to have
Eryl back alongside him.

Speaker 4 (18:30):
I reckon it's a bit of a like an Awa thing,
you know, yeah, your one of your best mates next year.

Speaker 1 (18:34):
It's like Marcus back on the show today today, really
not really.

Speaker 4 (18:39):
Captain Callum Mills was good in the first half, and
then Grundy. I think Prime Grundy is officially back. Twenty
two touches, thirty four hit outs for the big Man
and it's just great to see because I missed the
days when it was gone in Grundy one and two
and you lock him into supercoach and yeah, Grundy another
midfielder is we mentioned with Jackson?

Speaker 3 (18:56):
I think Gunda is the exact same thing you.

Speaker 2 (18:58):
See that you see. Sorry he quickly having Is he
having a good season? Is like we're talking about Jerry
and TDK competing with Max corn Is Grundy actually quietly
coming into that debate? I think so he's an excellent
week ye first six weeks he wasn't.

Speaker 3 (19:16):
The first six weeks let him down a little bit.

Speaker 4 (19:19):
We also touched on the Thursday show Stats Go, where
we really had to lock in and listen to each other.
We said who would have more impact out of Errol
and Papley? I said, Eryl. You said Pappy, and I
think you were right.

Speaker 3 (19:31):
He's nice.

Speaker 4 (19:32):
Papley had two goal asses he missed to himself, but
I thought he was a little bit more damaging than
Errol was.

Speaker 3 (19:38):
Er will warm into it was a tongue ye warm
into it.

Speaker 4 (19:44):
But someone who came back in that wasn't damaging. AMARTI
what are you doing mate?

Speaker 2 (19:50):
How can you go from kicking nine in a game
or at the same ground, at the same ground to
zero six zero zero six?

Speaker 5 (20:00):
This is impressive?

Speaker 2 (20:01):
How do you miss that?

Speaker 4 (20:02):
And he had a shot late too that was directly
in front, like sway out and he missed.

Speaker 3 (20:07):
I think he said after the game he's thrown the
boots out.

Speaker 1 (20:09):
He had fifteen disposals, clearly was dominating because if he
just kicked three of them, that's a buddy awesome game.

Speaker 2 (20:14):
Take grade three. Yeah, didn't he finish on negative ranking
point negative ten?

Speaker 1 (20:19):
I think negative ten point five? Champion Dahdy or a
champion data manly. I think so behinds are also ineffective
kicks as well?

Speaker 2 (20:26):
Correct? They should be?

Speaker 3 (20:27):
Yeah, behind an ineffective kick?

Speaker 4 (20:28):
Yeah, And I just want to end this Sydney bit
on are they a final smoky Oh.

Speaker 2 (20:35):
I don't think. I think it's almost too little.

Speaker 3 (20:37):
How far out of there, there's so many two games
out of the eight.

Speaker 2 (20:40):
We look how good the Western Bulldogs are playing, and
how good their side is their seventh.

Speaker 4 (20:44):
Yeah, and the Suns of ninth and they're got a
percentage of on hundred and twenty. What I will say,
I don't think they'll make finals. But out of those
clump of teams that are there by Carlton, like Carlton
and Port Essenon Saints, Melbourne all them, they look the
most threatening. They'll get plays back, they can make a run,
but the fact that the two games behind and one

(21:05):
to two wins probably cooks them.

Speaker 3 (21:07):
Is always going to be a tough task.

Speaker 2 (21:09):
I think as well.

Speaker 1 (21:10):
People compare, like we're talking about Melbourne the other week,
because they have the experience. Sydney have the experience that
can push for the finals, and they did that the
other year where they just pushed really late. But I
think it's a little bit tool and the teams them
I think are just a bit better, just a bit better.

Speaker 4 (21:24):
And on the port side, I thought they were really
really lazy with their disposal. Sydney honestly could have put
a few more on them and really punished them. But
as did Butters things, he was their best player. No
one really came along with him though. Horn Francis wasn't
really with him, nor was Rosy or Bergman, who been
a great forum recently. Bergman Kenny didn't really have him

(21:44):
up for this one. Now, the emotion came out of it,
So that's one. I think port going into it at
home if they wanted to make finals and actually make
a charge that they had to win, and they unfortunately didn't.

Speaker 1 (21:56):
I think that's a very good call. Ere Before we
get into the next game, let's have a break stocking. Hey, Leo,
quick question? Do you know what the ASEX means? Uh?

Speaker 3 (22:03):
Do you mean AFLX?

Speaker 1 (22:05):
No? Mate, the ASEX the Australian Stock Exchange.

Speaker 3 (22:08):
Oh man, I'm absolutely clueless for that stuff.

Speaker 2 (22:11):
Well, lucky for you.

Speaker 1 (22:12):
Stock It is a free website that gives you everything
you need to know about punting stocks on the ASEX.

Speaker 3 (22:17):
Damn, that sounds pretty good. Where do I check them out?

Speaker 1 (22:19):
Check it out via stock are dot com dot you
and it's even easy for your little p brain to understand.

Speaker 3 (22:24):
Damn.

Speaker 1 (22:24):
Saturday Night at Marvel Stadium, is the next one Collingwo
St Kilda Collingwood sixteen goals twelve one oh eight. Of
course they win again at Saint Kilda eleven goals eight
seventy four. Now Lea, this is specifically for Lea. We
talked about this on the Thursday show. Marcus was away.

Speaker 5 (22:39):
Nick Dakos is too damn good Windaga who?

Speaker 2 (22:42):
Who Who's wind?

Speaker 5 (22:43):
Gary?

Speaker 3 (22:44):
Who?

Speaker 2 (22:45):
Yeah?

Speaker 1 (22:45):
Oh no, on mate, he shook the tag for thirty
disposals and a goal. Absolutely awesome game by Nick Dacos.
I said he would have twenty seven plus and a goal,
and I think you said twenty disposal one, So cop that, mate.
You shouldn't have doubted the greatest player in the comp.

Speaker 3 (23:00):
I'm a big dumb idiot.

Speaker 2 (23:04):
Smartest happen?

Speaker 3 (23:06):
Then? I think da he was superb.

Speaker 4 (23:09):
The way he got around the tag proves just how
good he is and teams might just have to rethink
how they go about him.

Speaker 3 (23:15):
Now.

Speaker 1 (23:16):
Yeah, no, I genuinely I think most of the tags
has shaken up. There's been a few tags that he
hasn't Obviously ed Langdon did a pretty good job, but
he still was influential.

Speaker 3 (23:24):
Win the game. So I don't think Craig mccraig cares
that is true.

Speaker 1 (23:28):
He could have Nickdakers could have had a lotless. But
without Nick Daka was playing like this, I think the
Saints could have won. This genuinely was one of the
best games of the week, and I'd say it was
probably the second best game, even though the score they
bly out a little bit, just because that was really fun.

Speaker 5 (23:40):
Fast paced.

Speaker 1 (23:41):
It was like the Saints when they made the finals
a couple of years ago, where they're just playing fast
weet they're playing attacking ross is like, we've got nothing
to lose. They needed to play that every week because
there've been a lot of teams if they play like that, there's.

Speaker 2 (23:49):
Something about the Saints playing Marvel Stadium against the bigger
teams clubs they lift. And they did play fairly well.
Credit to them because they were well in the chances
are half torn. They're only two goals now, no, but.

Speaker 1 (24:02):
Until fifteen fift early in the last until early in
the last quarter, it was like three goals and it
was really close.

Speaker 5 (24:10):
Rolland Marshall kicked one lay and I was like, oh,
here we go.

Speaker 3 (24:12):
Uh.

Speaker 2 (24:13):
That was probably the best battle of the game.

Speaker 1 (24:15):
The commentators were loving this Darcy Camera versus roand Marshall,
and I think Ronan Marshall for the first two and
a half three quarters was on top of him, then
Darcy Cameron in the last quarter.

Speaker 5 (24:24):
You don't often say clutch kid has.

Speaker 1 (24:26):
To advantage, but dares he carrage going here go dekos
the decos.

Speaker 2 (24:30):
He was just going back back back clutch.

Speaker 1 (24:34):
I don't know, like, I don't like it because there's
not when they get a bit tired, some of the
Rucks aren't palming it straight to their players, and then
they were saying, oh, we need to talk about him
in all Australia, come your farm, come.

Speaker 2 (24:45):
He's in top five, but he's not top two. It's
the year of the ruckman.

Speaker 1 (24:49):
It is a year pay well every year.

Speaker 2 (24:52):
No true, Well there, I'll spend ten seconds going well
off topic here. The fact that the fast bringing in
the defensive award possibly next season the best defensive player
is fantastic because both of these clubs have fantastic defenders,
fantastic spoilers, and I think they're added again A bit
of Jeremy how bit of Jeremy How.

Speaker 1 (25:14):
Yeah, what would you name the award? I would despide
for all the Golden Fist even.

Speaker 3 (25:18):
Yeah, I like the Golden fist, Golden fist.

Speaker 1 (25:20):
Who else is like a legendary defender You could put Zivanni,
Ryan Schommakers, Spang Spanger, Toby Pink, Toby Pink, I Reckon
as well.

Speaker 5 (25:34):
The other guy that I want to talk about is Lipinski.

Speaker 1 (25:36):
Palapinski probably season best game, twenty six disposals, two goals.

Speaker 2 (25:40):
He was everywhere.

Speaker 5 (25:41):
I think he's running capacity bit underrated.

Speaker 2 (25:43):
He doesn't get enough of the ball.

Speaker 1 (25:44):
Sometimes he's good to wear running, but it doesn't get
enough of the ball. Twenty six touches. And on the
same side, it was a really sad moment to start,
not even start the game. Before the game, Philipoo, the
guy that they were like, we'd like to seeing him
coming back. You were talking about Leo as the green
shoots and the poop just got into the pre game.

Speaker 5 (26:01):
Then his calf again and he was crying.

Speaker 4 (26:02):
I was like, oh, this is so sad, sad, scenes
wasn't it. So it was his calf like a minute before, right, Yeah, Yeah,
that's just so strange.

Speaker 3 (26:09):
You never see that.

Speaker 2 (26:10):
You really felt that pool in your chest's do it?

Speaker 1 (26:13):
Jeez, you need to get that checked out man, that's
not good nas Maaganine Miller as well, like you can
just put him down for thirty plus every week he
had eight intercept marks, thirty five dispos. I thought he
was incredible back on the Collingan side though, Tim Membry,
he got a goal against these old remember memory the
Saints fans do.

Speaker 2 (26:29):
Thoughts on celebrating against your former club.

Speaker 4 (26:31):
Well, we're not in the Premier League, so yes, you
can just do it no matter what, even if it's
in the prem just do it.

Speaker 1 (26:37):
Be a baby, yeah, yeah, baby broken.

Speaker 5 (26:41):
Jamie allied his well, I thought was really good. He
sort of fired up the Pies.

Speaker 1 (26:43):
So it was very close golf for gold, probably under
three goals and then Jamie two goals late in the
lot in the third quarter, and it's sort of got
the Pie's momentum rolling. And you could say that every
time the Pies play, he gets them going. Jamiellen, so
he was really good. And then Lea you talked about
it on the Thursday. So the Saints green shoots. Darcy
Wilson i'd say was probably their better younger player. He
got two goals.

Speaker 3 (27:02):
It's a speedy, speedy demon on the wing there. As
I said, I don't mind the.

Speaker 4 (27:06):
Young kids, yeah, but it's the gap in between the
experience and the young kids where they just lack.

Speaker 3 (27:11):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (27:11):
In terms of that, Higgins with zero goals he's had
in some of the bigger games he's had zero goals,
whereas he's.

Speaker 5 (27:17):
Kicked a lot of goals this year, but the last
month and a half.

Speaker 1 (27:19):
He's dropped off a little bit. So a little bit
worried about Jackie Higgins kicking zero goals now one.

Speaker 2 (27:23):
I think experience also lets them has let them down
a bit at times this season as well. Blud Hill
with looks especially, he's been very disappointing for someone who's
so silky. Absolutely so.

Speaker 1 (27:32):
Yeah, the Pies get the jobs done, of course they do.
At Marvels Stadium, I was so loud the Collingwood chamt
was going with ten minutes to go when they're only
came off.

Speaker 2 (27:40):
The roof nearly came off.

Speaker 1 (27:41):
The Pies fans were going crazy there. So good on
another win and there on top of the ladder. Let's
get into Sunday Sunday Fun Day as later calls it
NG Stadium, the Battle of the Expansion Cuff as they
call it GWS Goal COASTJWS sixteen goals ten at one
hundred and six Goal Coast fourteen goals fifteen ninety nine.
It was a shootout. It was the best game of
the round. It was awesome. The first time these two
teams have met in the top eight. I absolutely loved it.

Speaker 2 (28:03):
Well, at the end of that I was like, it
was very good, and it was. It was highlighted by
the news of after that gold Cost first half, You're like,
Matt raal extension, let's announce it was off the back
of a good first half and then it just sort
of went a little bit downhill, mainly just towards it
that last quarter. But that's another game of the year contender.
Let's be honest. If this was like two of the

(28:24):
bigger clubs, if this was Carlton Collingwood, you'd say that's
probably a game, one of the games of the season,
game of the year. So it was another great game
and it was gold Cost who started out the blocks
really well. I don't know what sort of coffee they
had before the game, but they had five inside fifties,
all five of which were scores, crazy four of which
were goals. So they got off to a red hot start,

(28:47):
but it was all about the second half and in
particular that last quarter from the Giants where Stringer came
off the bench as a superstar, as a package, as
the package and he got this question got posed when
he was at Essen. Is he better just coming off
the bench and winning you a game? And he led

(29:07):
He led the surge with an eight goal final quarter
goal for Gus. That's the best said maybe in AFL
twenty six when it was when they was playing against
Spence behind the camera because of her chiefs not very good.
She although she didn't move from very easy to easy mode,
she moved from very easy to easy mode. So Brando, applause,

(29:31):
Alan producers straight, What's what Gus did in the last quarter?
String ended up kicking to a brilliant one from the
boundary threat of the needle. Cadman also kicked too in
that final quarter. Is he quietly? Is this Cadman's breakout season?
We've talked about how do we need more from him?
But I think this is his seventh or eighth game
where he's kicked multiple goals. He's only gone goalless in

(29:53):
two games this season. That was against Collingwood, and Adelaide
where kicked to combine five points. So if he was
more accurate, he's kicking goals in pretty much every game. Yep,
and he now was twenty four for the season. The
young guys coming through in terms of goalkies. You've got Morris,
Darcy and Cavin. We're good for a few years.

Speaker 1 (30:08):
And sorry, we've got we're good for a few years.

Speaker 2 (30:11):
On that good we're good. Yeah, we're good. Just sit
back and get the popcorn out. But on the other end,
on the other end of the stick, we're going to
talk about another tool forward here, possibly for the wrong reasons,
but thoughts on the Ben King bump forced Whitfield to
get subbed out very early on in the game.

Speaker 1 (30:27):
Look, I thought it's okay, but oh, it just knocked
him out.

Speaker 4 (30:32):
It did knock him out, so that's what they're going
to look at. But he he is going for the
ball and when Whitfield comes at him, he's bracing for contact.

Speaker 2 (30:41):
From my perspective, I feel like it's just a clumsy
tool forward coming into it versuing a very you know,
slick on the ground, slightly framed operator.

Speaker 5 (30:50):
But did he cop him in the chin a little bit?
I think, yeah, so he did, that's it.

Speaker 3 (30:56):
I think he will get weeks because of the outcome
you got can casting.

Speaker 2 (30:59):
Yeah, but he was going for the ball.

Speaker 3 (31:01):
But I think it's one of those. It is a
footing incident in my view.

Speaker 2 (31:05):
But in terms of his actual game, King's actual game,
because No Taylor was was a big headline. Ben King job,
excellent season. What were your thoughts on Ben King's game overall?

Speaker 4 (31:15):
Well, it wasn't great because I had him from a
big call and he it was four plus gals and
six marks two and I don't even know how any
marks guys is not good.

Speaker 3 (31:22):
Buckley very underrated player.

Speaker 2 (31:24):
Jacker he is.

Speaker 1 (31:25):
He is undersized and he still not undersized.

Speaker 3 (31:28):
The key defender, he looked you don't know ball when he.

Speaker 1 (31:31):
Was staying next to benk you it was your height,
I'm so tall, but he was.

Speaker 2 (31:36):
He looked undersize next to Ben King was as much tall.

Speaker 3 (31:40):
Still he is a god. Don't worry.

Speaker 2 (31:41):
No, I didn't.

Speaker 3 (31:42):
I didn't.

Speaker 2 (31:42):
I meant to go back's not listening to old married couple.
But anyways, Golders will be kicking himself. So they led
for almost two l's of that game, and they led
the majority of the stats. So the disposals by fifty six,
the inside.

Speaker 3 (31:57):
Fifties by seventy or something.

Speaker 2 (31:59):
Yeah, so fifty they dominated, and they learned five clearances,
particularly senate clearance, they dominated. They had doubles centate clearances.
It was eighteen to nine, I believe. But this is
the game where you like Gold Coast they get to
win here and you're like, hold on, they actually might
be a real deal for a top four chance come
the end of the season. They come out of this

(32:20):
with the loss, and it's more question question marks and
answers possibly for both sides. And I don't know, I
just feel like GBS they just need to show this consistently.
They've got the result on the board. They didn't play
particularly well bar one quarter.

Speaker 5 (32:34):
But the tsunami showed up twice in a row.

Speaker 2 (32:36):
They haven't done that enough this year. It was good
and which is why I think that they can make
the finals now absolutely well.

Speaker 4 (32:42):
They're in the eight.

Speaker 2 (32:47):
When I say that, a genuine threat come the final season.
But make a prelim yeah why not?

Speaker 3 (32:53):
Why not?

Speaker 2 (32:54):
Why not? I think they can sure can make a
prelim levels, But we want to finish on a positive
note for the Suns, and it was the goals from midfield. Oh,
they were just something that they've they've lacked in previous seasons.
Like Miller was never really hit the school boards sort
of player he has this year's season, but he has
this season. He kicked two goals, had thirty seven disposals,

(33:17):
Humphrey's playing majority midfield roll at twenty three and two,
Anderson two and forty two, and Jared Witz even chipped
in from the ruck with twenty in a goal.

Speaker 5 (33:27):
He had a lot of intercept marks job wits earlier. Well,
he was really good.

Speaker 2 (33:31):
But you look at his un You look at that
stat line. It's rocky. Look at that stat line. You're like, life,
how did the Suns lose that game with this line
from midfield?

Speaker 3 (33:40):
That one's gone begging for him. Yeah, but you know
they just did it again.

Speaker 1 (33:43):
They say an army is back, everything's back.

Speaker 3 (33:46):
Give me, give me a couple of weeks, more weeks
on them.

Speaker 2 (33:48):
I think we just need to wait for stat's guy
to call the club frauds. And then they worked there
on the frauds right they were.

Speaker 3 (33:57):
It was North frauds and then beat Hawthorne.

Speaker 2 (34:02):
That's pretty tasty.

Speaker 1 (34:03):
Let's get into the last game of the round Sunday
at Marvel Stadium.

Speaker 2 (34:07):
Western Mulldogs versus Richmond.

Speaker 1 (34:08):
Western Mulldogs twenty one nine, one hundred and thirty five
are big monster score against the Tigers Richmond eight goals,
eight fifty six. They put a bit of a fight
back here at the end, Leo, but the dog still
ran away with it.

Speaker 2 (34:19):
They did.

Speaker 4 (34:20):
And we were massive on Sam Darcy in the previous show,
especially you actually he's a massive dude.

Speaker 3 (34:25):
So he ended with five goals, ninety disposals.

Speaker 4 (34:28):
And he's just a man. Mountain Boulter had no answer
for years.

Speaker 2 (34:32):
It was Bolton Pasty's curve for you. I don't know.

Speaker 3 (34:34):
He's Russian home as we speak.

Speaker 4 (34:35):
Yes, yes, he's got a five of car Home and
the Bond, the glorious Bond, the King.

Speaker 3 (34:43):
I love him so much.

Speaker 1 (34:44):
You grow your hair out like Bond?

Speaker 3 (34:46):
No, thank you, No think I don't like long hair me.
Thirty six disposals and three goals was it.

Speaker 4 (34:51):
He was fantastic, reminding the competition how good he is.

Speaker 3 (34:55):
And I think last week we talked about Lob as.

Speaker 4 (34:59):
Well being, you know, a really good player, pretty consistently underrated.
He was superb again down back. He's really turned into
a great defender, which I never thought I would say
Rory Lobb is a great defender, but he is, so
we're given credit.

Speaker 2 (35:12):
He reads the game superbly, well for someone, he's brilliant
in the air and he's reading of the game. He's
their best defender.

Speaker 3 (35:20):
Yeah, who else is there?

Speaker 1 (35:21):
No, he definitely is their best defend. Don't offensive depth,
But that's not a dig at him. He's been really good.

Speaker 3 (35:27):
No, No, it's not to get the Dogs either.

Speaker 4 (35:29):
So for the Tigers, look, we just we kind of
expected this unfortunately. It's just you're going to have ups
and downs as a rebuilding side, probably the downs.

Speaker 3 (35:37):
More than the ups. And this was a down. They did,
you know, five back leg but the dogs young time
took Lynch. He got three. He's good to see him
kick accurately for once. Uh hopefully that stays that way
because he probably won't.

Speaker 2 (35:52):
Two of them were from the goal square.

Speaker 3 (35:56):
By Lynch standards.

Speaker 2 (35:57):
That's not a SAT that is true.

Speaker 3 (35:59):
True. And Boston he's an underrated player. Nick Boston.

Speaker 4 (36:03):
He's never made an All Australian. He's just he's their
general down there. Twenty eight disposals. I know the ball
was down there a lot, so he will get more
of the ball. But he's so reliable, and I reckon
if you're a Richmond fan, if Loston wasn't playing, you'd
feel a.

Speaker 3 (36:16):
Lot more like scared that.

Speaker 4 (36:18):
Yeah, we're going to get smashed as a leader on
the field as well.

Speaker 2 (36:21):
Yeah, could have been Richmond's best team ever. He'd be
a lock for the Team of the century.

Speaker 3 (36:27):
Yeah for that, but not for the best team ever.

Speaker 4 (36:30):
Surely, honestly almost there will wheel out some blokes from
the eighties that will make it.

Speaker 3 (36:35):
Yeah for stats guy's time.

Speaker 1 (36:37):
Yeah, I'll make I'll make the list. I'll make the list.

Speaker 5 (36:40):
It for a short everyone wants to everyone wants Yeah.

Speaker 1 (36:42):
Yeah. What about the Dogs? Are we still bullish that
they're going to make the top four? Leader, you will
be on that earlier in the year.

Speaker 3 (36:48):
Yeah, I still think they can make top four. They
have a very easy draw.

Speaker 4 (36:52):
Sydney on Friday night is going to be a very
interesting game of the seg I think they can win that.
Sydney will give him a game though, and then they
got norm which might be lost the way north for
playing and now win that, and then I think it
was someone else, someone else pretty easy. Well, I think
it's Adelaide, Mary can they can beat Adelaide at Marvel.
Adelaide a great team, but at Marvel you expect the

(37:13):
Dogs to win that.

Speaker 2 (37:14):
So if they play their cards right, I think top.

Speaker 4 (37:16):
Four is on the cards, said cards twice in the sentence,
said three times lead again.

Speaker 5 (37:23):
No, all right, the Dogs did well. I reckon top four.

Speaker 1 (37:26):
Yeah, is definitely on the cards, as Lea I said.
So ladder check is up next, let's get into it.
But Brisbane lines go past the Cats. I can't believe
we're saying that. I called them frauds last week and
their backlids.

Speaker 2 (37:36):
They're back.

Speaker 1 (37:36):
They're back above the Cats. So that's an incredible effort.
You've got the Sons dropping.

Speaker 2 (37:40):
Out of the eight. Are we a little bit worried
about the Suns?

Speaker 1 (37:42):
They've done this in the past where they start the
season so well and they drop off towards the end.

Speaker 5 (37:46):
Are we this is a different Sun side.

Speaker 3 (37:48):
I'm not worried because they have the game in hand.

Speaker 2 (37:50):
No, true. I think is getting a lot more out
of the midfield as well.

Speaker 1 (37:53):
Yeah, that's true, and they're losing games they've had a
lot of close games. It was a close loss. They
could have easily won that, so that's a fair call.
The Swans, they're lurking in a eleventh. All the Swans
fans are back up in about their players are back.
They're very excited. We said before they could possibly make
the final. So they're very close. And North, my beloved
North Melbourne, they're a game and half clear of Richmond.
So the bottom two of the spoon is out the
window and only two points behind Melbourne.

Speaker 5 (38:14):
And the same to the bottom five.

Speaker 2 (38:20):
Trivia. When was the last time North Melbourne finished outside
the bottom four seventeen eighteen. I'm just going to assume
that's the answer.

Speaker 1 (38:31):
Anyway, that is allowed to check. Let's get into the
tipping results. Oh wait, do we have to go to
the tipping results? Leo and myself?

Speaker 2 (38:37):
Three?

Speaker 3 (38:38):
Oh boy?

Speaker 2 (38:39):
Three tips? Leo? What are we getting for?

Speaker 3 (38:40):
If the Suns then bloody cook it. I know you
the Giants, I.

Speaker 2 (38:44):
Tip the Giant so I go four. I got the
extra one.

Speaker 3 (38:47):
I've been a good show for us.

Speaker 4 (38:48):
We're having big dumb idiots, we have, but we've we've
had a good laugh, We've had a good wi, a
handsome dumb idiot.

Speaker 5 (38:53):
Yeah, there's lotswo hands of people on the show.

Speaker 2 (38:54):
Wend Yeah, that's true. That's true.

Speaker 3 (38:57):
Two people that are handsome on this show. I'll let
you work in.

Speaker 2 (39:00):
Let us know in the comments, let us know that elder.

Speaker 3 (39:06):
Yes, some self confidence.

Speaker 5 (39:09):
I feel so over Olivia having to change the cameras.

Speaker 2 (39:10):
Thank you very much.

Speaker 1 (39:11):
Locker results. Let's get into this one now. Leo was
the first one at cheesel. You got to tick there,
twenty plus dispose happy with them?

Speaker 3 (39:17):
Yeah, lock it in, mate, it's midfield. How good?

Speaker 2 (39:19):
How good?

Speaker 1 (39:20):
Yeah, you should be paying a lot more midfield Marcus
dogscort one hundred plus. That was money in the money
in the bank, money in the bank, bank bank, And
then mine was the wrong embrace your combining for forty plus.

Speaker 5 (39:29):
I suppose I was the lazy sixty four.

Speaker 2 (39:32):
It was all good. Forty five. I probably done fifty.
There's some very light locks this week, but it is
a lockdown. We have been getting them wrong, so we
need to make it easy.

Speaker 1 (39:40):
Now. We got them all right, So that's a good
effort by us. All there, big coal results. Now I'll
start off with Leo. You talked about this earlier. King
he had two You wanted him for four and six months.
He was close, but no, he didn't.

Speaker 2 (39:51):
Play that well.

Speaker 3 (39:51):
No, he wasn't going to my never again list.

Speaker 2 (39:54):
Never again, maybe not.

Speaker 3 (39:55):
I don't know.

Speaker 2 (39:56):
He's a player you haunted, that haunts you after you
back him to go well during the week and he
just doesn't.

Speaker 3 (40:02):
See in my dreams and my nightmares and be like,
are you bent or Max? I can't tell. It's going
to be a confusing nightmare.

Speaker 2 (40:11):
This makes me laugh. Max wouldn't appear in Max wouldnt
appear in your dream because he doesn't appear in the dream.

Speaker 3 (40:15):
Yeah, I have to know if one of them is
in crutches, then I'm like the difference.

Speaker 2 (40:20):
Four maxims. He watches this.

Speaker 1 (40:26):
Big core results mark. You got every home team wins
four out of seven, which wasn't horrible.

Speaker 2 (40:31):
Oh no, we were talking about this could be a
seven out of seven week, but.

Speaker 3 (40:35):
Oh, definitely not.

Speaker 5 (40:39):
My big core result was Dogs one hundred plus against
the Times.

Speaker 1 (40:42):
It was on at half time, that it's fifty six
three quarter timer was on, and then they put the
foot off the gas and the Tigers kicked a few late.

Speaker 2 (40:49):
They sure did. They kicked a few in a row,
which ruined your big cool. We're still end with no one.

Speaker 3 (40:54):
Getting a big don't say we're going to do it
next week.

Speaker 5 (40:57):
We're going next week, and we'll do it all in
next week, all again next week. Ok, we'll all get
him right next week.

Speaker 1 (41:02):
All right, let's finish off the show with some awards
or however we want to do this the best on
ground of the week, now, Leo.

Speaker 5 (41:08):
There's a lot of players that you could have put
in this one. You were so stressed in the office beat.

Speaker 4 (41:12):
This was a very tough week to do best on ground.
One votes will get straight into it. I was gonna
say b Onton, Pally, m BoNT and Pali.

Speaker 2 (41:20):
He was great.

Speaker 4 (41:21):
Like the reason I haven't given him more is because
no offense it is Richmond. Yeah, thirty six and three
is a great perform, amazing that one.

Speaker 3 (41:28):
He's a glorious king. I love him.

Speaker 2 (41:30):
Two votes.

Speaker 4 (41:31):
T Green Yeah, thirty one disposals one goal. But the
reason I have him two votes is because half of
his possessions were clearances.

Speaker 2 (41:40):
That's what really.

Speaker 3 (41:41):
Sixteen clearances from thirty one disposals more than oh sorry
sorry quick maths.

Speaker 2 (41:48):
Three votes.

Speaker 4 (41:49):
This might be controversial because they did lose the Suns
n Anderson forty two disposals, two goals. It was a
captain's performance in a loss. Sure, I thought it was
fantastic in the midfield. I think he got like seven clearance.

Speaker 5 (42:04):
It wasn't his fault that they lost, So i'll give
you that. Also, callub's wrong, says high.

Speaker 2 (42:08):
No, it was really good.

Speaker 3 (42:10):
No, but I think Jame just edges just that so wrong.
You know, thirty six and three is better than.

Speaker 2 (42:14):
Thirty five and two. Oh okay, I don't mind that.

Speaker 4 (42:17):
Let me know in the comments where I went wrong
and send me abuse at La Malalai on Instagram.

Speaker 1 (42:22):
Oh my god, it's just shadowed very It might be
a fine that one. Yeah, we should have a fine,
all right, full credit, best dam of the out mark callsart.
This is probably our most controversial segments.

Speaker 3 (42:33):
Are there any loses?

Speaker 2 (42:34):
I'm never wrong, I'm never wrong. One vote goes to
the s Swans with a bunch of players coming back,
laid in good form on the road. Great win. It
was a good win. It was great win. They kept
put a later fifty points at home. Look, it could
have been very different if they're inaccuracy. If inaccuracy didn't
come back to haunt them. Yeah, but they got the

(42:54):
win and like you said, they're up two eleventh and
a smoky for possibly finals. So two votes n M.

Speaker 1 (43:04):
And MS.

Speaker 2 (43:07):
Again, look did have have some outs. They're playing players underdone,
but that's two wins. Now the m c G two
and now with the G nor relocate them there.

Speaker 5 (43:16):
I reckon we should play the m CG. We'll fill
it every week.

Speaker 3 (43:19):
You're f five not bad.

Speaker 2 (43:22):
And lastly three votes to the b Lions. They had
they were coming into a to a white storm. They
were coming to the white storm, White Long John playing
very good football, Brisbane not so much and a loss
at home to g W West the week prior. But
they come out and they made a major claim on

(43:43):
their chances for premiership. It got slower and slower with that.
Do I needed to breathe and breathe forget to breathe
and breathe. Lad Actually don't mind that one.

Speaker 3 (43:59):
I agree with him.

Speaker 1 (44:00):
I'm calling that one of your better ones of the
of the year, Marcus, So that's pretty good.

Speaker 2 (44:03):
Well, you're wrong, I don't value your opinion.

Speaker 1 (44:06):

calling it. That will do us for the AFL Today Show.
