I think Port Adelaide are going to cause a boil
over at the Gabba.
Speaker 2 (00:07):
And I'm all for the best game of the round
we Sydney Freeman. It's going to be a bookbuster.
Speaker 1 (00:11):

(00:32):
on the couch a gon lads. Yeah, we're going good.
Speaker 3 (00:34):
I think we're just both into some Indonesian boat racing
is good, but we're not previewing the next slot of
Indonesian boat racing?
Speaker 1 (00:44):
Are we on the AFL and what around it's going
to be? Boat racing today hasn't kicked off yet, but
next season I think.
Speaker 2 (00:51):
Which boat North Melbourne or Western Bulldogs? Which boat are
we fancying?
Speaker 4 (00:54):
What?
Speaker 1 (00:55):
My god? Absolutely, this is gonna be another awesome show show.
Do not mind the lads on the couch over there.
We're going to dive into all the matchups, tips, stats, debates,
locks and big calls. Make sure you subscribe to our
YouTube channel AFL Today Show. Hit the notifications, but it
goes a long way. Follow AFL Today across x, Facebook, Instagram,
TikTok on Facebook. It's actually Aussie Rules Today. We've actually
(01:17):
got the enrs so Enrber's social posts as well. Leo,
we're going to cover j Clark Haroldson, the head writer,
his top fifty players. I'm going to just debate that
a little bit because a few people are like, oh,
I don't know about that.
Speaker 3 (01:29):
Yeah, we're going to just see where he's placed people.
Are they too high or are they too love?
Speaker 1 (01:33):
Yeah, so they'd be good fun. So you check that
out on AFL Today AU and of course get this
podcast wherever you get your podcast platforms all right around
at seventeen previous. Let's get into it, lads. Thursday night footy,
I can't believe North Melbourne my North Malbourne or on
Thursday night North Melbourne versus the Western Bulldogs seven thirty
at Marvel Stadium. It's actually North one hundredth anniversary game.
Lare well, you took the words right out of my mouth.
(01:53):
It is.
Speaker 3 (01:54):
They'll be passed legends there. Dennis Pagan, I think, is
going to address the playing group before they go out.
So it's just simple for mine. North have to perform
in this one. They have nothing of what we saw
last week, none of this lackluster effort. They have to
rock up and be in this game for most of it.
But unfortunately they've lost their last eight against the Dogs
(02:15):
with an average margin of fifty three points, so that
doesn't bode too well in this one hundredth year anniversary.
But lads, I want to throw a question out to you,
to you guys, how can they stop Sam Darcy and
this awesome Dog's forward line.
Speaker 1 (02:31):
T Pink no Da. It was bad last week. Obviously,
I think he's had a good run. But I don't
think there's anyone from North that can stop I don't
think there's anyone in the league that can stop SANDARSI
really you saw North struggle with the tall forwards of
Gunsen and Troll kicking career high hauls both of them
last week, and Norton and Darcy or off the back
(02:52):
of kicking six between them and kicking them from everywhere.
Speaker 2 (02:54):
They look like they hidden form. So look, it's going
to be a tough ass to stop any of them.
I don't know if they can.
Speaker 4 (03:00):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (03:00):
And who plays on Riley West, because both McDonald and
Arts are a test this week, needing it up. Who's
the matchup for where you're gonna Putler Daniel. I'd definitely
rather Archer than anyone else. But if he's a Test,
he doesn't play.
Speaker 1 (03:12):
I genuinely don't have anything that is really worrying as
an authman.
Speaker 3 (03:16):
Well, one thing Clark I did say in his press
conference was about the importance of stopping the Dog's midfielders
in order to stop that forward nine.
Speaker 4 (03:23):
So we talk about Look, I don't think anyone can really.
Speaker 3 (03:25):
Stop Darcy, like you said, guy, but if you can
stop the midfield kicking it to him, put pressure on,
I think that's one way to go about it.
Speaker 2 (03:32):
We did mention a few weeks ago that the Dogs
have three plays inside the top ten the competition for
score involvements or midfielders.
Speaker 1 (03:38):
It's crucial to stop that in order to stop their scoring. Yeah,
and the fact that they could rest liber at half
back a few games and still dominating the midfield. Unbelievable.
Their midfield's unblievable.
Speaker 4 (03:48):
Speaking of Liber, it's.
Speaker 1 (03:50):
His two fifty sim king going to another going to
another one of his pubs. Yeah, I should, we should go.
Speaker 3 (03:57):
After to celebrate an Oh, they were beautiful, they were
shout out.
Speaker 4 (04:01):
Mona Castle has toa not a sponsor.
Speaker 3 (04:03):
But what a player and what a character he's been
over the journey in that dog's midfield, and I think
he's set to have a huge say in this game.
Speaker 1 (04:12):
Of football against some strong, contested players.
Speaker 3 (04:14):
But last week North Melbourne they're good at winning the ball,
I think North, but last week we didn't see that
and I only laid forty tackles. And we know how
quick Liver is with his hands. Sometimes there's a few
questionable throws, but he's that good that the umpire doesn't
even see it, so quick, so quick with it. So
if Nova going to bring that level of pressure they
bought last week, I think liber is going to have
a massive say in the game and I think it's
(04:34):
going to be an ugly night for North Melbourne.
Speaker 1 (04:36):
Yeah no, that's a very good call by you. Yet
could absolutely tear us apart. Let's get in the tips
and margins for this one Thursday night for I will
be there. I feel like you'll be there one there. Yeah,
what are you going to go in this one? Because
this could be a blood buth.
Speaker 3 (04:48):
I did not like what I saw last week from
North and off a five day break. I think Dogs
smoke him. I think it's going to be seventy two points.
Not have your pants pulled down?
Speaker 1 (04:59):
Oh no good, I'm gonna go Dogs by ten goals. Yeah,
ten goals old. I'll just say in the middle, sixty points.
I really want to go to a Thursday night game
and just see did you say, well, say sixty points?
I would agree on think that's right anyway. I think, yeah,
(05:20):
the Dogs get a big win. They're absolutely flying all right.
Friday night footy, that big one. The big old rivalry
of Carlton verse Collin at the MCG seven twenty. Now,
this is the massive rivaly Marcus. But what's gonna happen here?
Speaker 2 (05:33):
It is two of the fiercest rivals in the competition,
but they're both on opposite trajectories. Obviously flying at the
moment and Carlton not so much. But will kick off
with Carlton and is not looking pretty to start off
that their presence in the forward line has been severely lucky,
especially without McKay. No McKay up there and Kerno just
not really informed. He's kicked one goal in his last
(05:55):
three games. His last two, I believe have been goalless.
Speaker 4 (05:59):
So included West Coast and North in those three games,
has it not? Or was West Coast a game before that?
Speaker 1 (06:05):
West Coast was game before. They're still always been struggled. No, no, yeah, no,
it was one.
Speaker 2 (06:10):
He kicked one against West Coast becase he's went off
injured a half time, that's right, And he kicked two
against the Bombers the week prior. But another one who
historically struggles against Collingwood and needs to lift is the
skipper patch of Crips. You look at you look at
people to stand up in that Carlton team. When people
aren't standing up. It's your captain, it's your Duel Brownlow medalist,
it's your leader. So we just need him to bring
(06:33):
back another. The Blues are back, baby.
Speaker 1 (06:34):
Yeah they is there multiple players at the Blues that
are under an injury crowd like obviously we think weeding Kerno,
but his crips there as well as you just getting
a bit older, Like I just there's a lot of
guys that are nowhere near their best and I think
it's I think they're playing players under dam and they've
had poor conditioning over the years as well. I don't know,
it's a bit weird.
Speaker 2 (06:55):
Yeah, And across his last four matches does suggest that
because he's only average one teen point twenty five disposals
across those last four and he's only kicked one goal
in those last four matches as well, which just really
isn't good enough from your star player who you look
up to. But boys, is there a chance we see
a symbolic Carlton upset here against the tradition arrival, the
(07:17):
old foe to turn the club around, the form.
Speaker 1 (07:21):
The spray paint on the wall, to do it? They can?
Can they do it? I think this is the last
opponent they want to face this year? Yeah. Is the
Collingwood are the best team in the comp.
Speaker 3 (07:30):
If they somehow win to reckon the bloke that's done
the paints like their spray painting is like.
Speaker 4 (07:35):
I'll take carever that him up.
Speaker 1 (07:39):
But the guy that that's where it was, we've met Collingwood,
but the.
Speaker 2 (07:45):
Previous meetings do suggest that it is particularly one side
as well, although rather close. Yeah, so you've got pis
of one, excuse meis of one six of the last
seven meetings, so they get a job done, but they've
been very close and really low scoring. I think the
last six or last seven have got on under one
hundred and sixty nine total points and you've got seven
of the last eight have been decided by seventeen points
(08:05):
or less. And in saying that, I think that might
be a bit different this time around. But these two
teams sort of just go at it. It sometimes turns
a little bit scrapy because they're both gone.
Speaker 1 (08:14):
Really had a big crowd, bit of pressure and there's
a lot of pressure on Carton and obviously not as
much on Collingwood.
Speaker 2 (08:20):
Yeah, this is where we need to see. Carlton lived
in front of a huge crowd. But the Pies, obviously
they're unstoppable at the moment. They've only lost one game
since the opening round that was against g B Wes.
But the one loss was against Geelong three points where
they had the chance to win it as well. Jack
Crisp after the siren in his mouth zone game, but
they ended up losing that one.
Speaker 1 (08:39):
But really over the last month they haven't.
Speaker 2 (08:42):
Particularly played that well, but they haven't needed to. They've
they've always come across. It's a sign of a good team.
We always say that's a sign of good team to
get over the one comfortably without playing well, and they've
done that against West Coast Saint Kilda and obviously against
Melbourne on King's Birthday. And Dekos was one that started
actually in that West Coast game, thirty four disposals in
(09:03):
a goal. But it's likely, it's obviously likely Alex Chincott
is going to go to him, and I reckon Chincotdle
will like that matchup more if Dacos plays more of
the half back instead of the midfield, which he might
tend to do. I think Chincotta is more suited to
tagging someone off the half back than actually in the guts.
I think it suits his game style. He's running, yeah,
okay more so, and I think he can go with
(09:24):
Dacos in terms of running around the ground.
Speaker 1 (09:26):
Really we said there's a wind dagger, more.
Speaker 2 (09:31):
Endurance, but I think Dakos has got the footy. I
Q too, you know, when when the ball does the
game a little better than Chinkotta. Yeah, obviously, But if
he has another big game, is he a clear Brownlow favorite?
Speaker 1 (09:44):
Clear, he's leading the day, he's leading them, He's leading
the Brownlow Medal odds currently.
Speaker 3 (09:52):
Yeah, I don't know about clear favorite because there's someone
that you're actually going to touch.
Speaker 4 (09:56):
On in a later game, Marks that might be up
there as well.
Speaker 1 (10:00):
But if he can break a tag yet again, then
he's definitely He's definitely one of the favorites. Yeah, he's
going to be top three at the very least, and
probably top two for most people. So I don't mind that,
especially if it has another big game. All right, Tips
and margin will start off with you, Marcus, what are
you thinking?
Speaker 2 (10:14):
Yeah, not looking pretty for the Blue Baggers in my opinion,
I'm going to go Pies by forty points forty.
Speaker 1 (10:20):
Yeah, similar, Pies by six goals in this one six goals?
Should I say thirty six six goals? Now I'm going
to get by by I'm going to say Pies by
twenty nine. They haven't yet full on smashed a lot
of teams. But yeah, not looking good for Carlton. But
I think they'll start okay, and then fade away like
they did towards the start of the season. All right,
next game is up at Opta Stadium, West Coast versus GWS.
(10:41):
There's actually a Friday night doubleheaded lads just want to
touch on that. What the hell? Yeah, not a fan,
not a fan, not a fan.
Speaker 2 (10:47):
We don't need that, like especially like this game as well.
How many people do you reckon are going to be tune?
How many West Coasts.
Speaker 4 (10:54):
Many Giants fans?
Speaker 1 (10:54):
I would probably rather watch this than have to watch
Carlton every Thursday or Friday night. That's actually not about calling,
just personally he is callled North Melbourne on the Thursday night.
Oh yeah, the blockbuster. There's West Coast then every Thursday
Friday night instead of Carlton. I'm going to do a petition.
We're a North Carlton Wednesday night.
Speaker 4 (11:14):
I can't.
Speaker 1 (11:15):
Let's get into the game. West Coast first, JEFS eight
twenty at OPTAs Stadium. Now, Lat's I've got a bit
of a question. I'm not saying I agree that. I
just want to put this out there. Okay, is West
Coast list better than we first thought? So you've got
two rising stars in there? He lost four West Coast
fans out there, two rising stars across the last two games.
So you've got Tyler Dear and you've also got Clay Hall.
(11:36):
Then you've got bring in McCarthy who's just unbelievably his
first two games, and Brady Hoff's rising. Jimmy's been pretty
solid down back, which is also been surprising. Is it
a little bit better? I'm just saying a little bit
better than we first thought. What are your thoughts?
Speaker 3 (11:49):
There're one and fourteen, lad Ladd Okay, he's from bill
I get what you're saying.
Speaker 1 (11:54):
I get what you're saying there.
Speaker 3 (11:55):
They've got some players coming through more than it doesn't
matter until they build a few wins, in my opinion.
Speaker 2 (12:02):
Yeah, yeah, it's promising if you like. Look at this
team and the players in there in four years time,
three four years time, once they have more footy under
their belt, but they are probably going to lose a
lot of experience, and they have already lost a lot
of experience this season. I think it's just going to
be a little bit tough over the next and we'll
back end of the year especially.
Speaker 1 (12:21):
Yeah, I do agree with Partier. I think part of
what you guys were saying. I mean, there was just
a few guys that have stepped up and been a
bit better than I thought for the Eagles, like the
guys that are getting the rising starums, which I didn't
think they were at that level. But they're the players
that were supposed to be good.
Speaker 2 (12:34):
Yeah, but they're not supposed to be the ones to
step up in that side.
Speaker 1 (12:38):
It should be the.
Speaker 2 (12:38):
Likes of the older like you know, Lean Baker has
been very good. But Tim Kelly, yeah, you're right, yep.
Speaker 1 (12:43):
A good call. Do we think they can sustain the effort?
They've obviously had a really close game, decently close game
against Collingwood leading a halftime. They were really good against
Geelong as well, But is that the best they can do?
Can they can they push for a win in some
of these type of games or is it just no chance?
Speaker 3 (12:59):
I think they can wish for a win and sustain
in the effort, but I just don't think they can
win yet.
Speaker 1 (13:03):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (13:04):
Well, I believe they play. They still play North Melbourne
again and more. Yes, yes, and they also play Richmond
as well, I'm pretty sure, and that's at home, so
that if they play. Look, they have been playing they
could grab a win or two company of the season.
Speaker 1 (13:16):
And a positive one for the Eagles is Eagles have
won four of the last five meetings in Perth against
the Giants, which is which is a bit of a
surprising one. Then looking on the Giants side, the Giants forwards,
so they look set to feast here. Jesse Hogan kicked
nine goals earlier this season against them and they average
one hundred and twenty six points in their last three
wins against the Eagles, So once they fire, the Giants
(13:37):
are going to just be absolutely rolling through that forward line.
You've also got Jake string the package. When he came
on as the sub the other week, he kicked two
crazy goals and thinking what the helly I had?
Speaker 4 (13:46):
Did you do that?
Speaker 1 (13:47):
And I just want to throw something to he was
He's playing very similar to Bruce Bruce, so Luke Bruce
from Hahawks when he was the sub last year yeap,
he was probably the best sub we've seen almost ever.
He just kept coming on kicking a couple of goals.
I'd personally say that do you think Jake Stringer should
just stays the stuff for gedos? And then yeah, what
do you guys think I.
Speaker 4 (14:04):
Think he's the perfect sub option.
Speaker 3 (14:05):
Like coming on, he typically can fade in and out
of games, So if he comes on as that impact player,
that's what we know him as, So go for it.
Speaker 1 (14:13):
Go for it. Yeah, why not?
Speaker 2 (14:14):
I think so he might be able to, like he's
getting to that age now where he might not run
out the games as well as you know coming off
the bench, so his X factor might not shan as brightly.
Speaker 1 (14:25):
But we saw it worked two weeks ago. So yeah,
even if they use him maybe some games and then
some games at the sub I think it's a good
good balance for him. Why not. The Giants is always
wanted touch on this have the least percentage of anyone
in the top nine. It's actually by a fair bit.
They need a big win here, I think, to have
a crucial final spot, like a decent final spot, not
just the eights, like if they want to push up
(14:45):
to six and stuff. They really need to have a
big win here. So I'm going to go Giants by forty.
I think they're going to stamp their authority. You're going
to have Jesse Hogan kicking a lot of guys, I reckon,
even Callen Brown might kick a few goals. He's been
pretty solid. So I'm going to go Giants by forty.
What do you think in there? Yeah? I think Giants
by say twenty seven points. Eagles I think can be
in this game.
Speaker 3 (15:03):
But that forward line for GWS, as you touched on
stats guy, that will dominate.
Speaker 2 (15:08):
Yes, yeah, I think that Eagles can hold their own.
But still it's going to be thirty four points thirty four.
Speaker 1 (15:12):
I don't know, I think that's been under l four. Yeah,
just forty, just get up to the forty. Kevin his
margins day, Yeah, I don't know what's more obsessed with them?
There we go. All right, Saturday, let's get into it.
Essendon versus Gold Coast at Marvel Stadium, Saturday twelve thirty
five pm. Now that's we're talking before the show. And
you guys are on opposite side. Even though Marcus is
(15:33):
an Essident supporter, he's he knows better, he knows not
to believe in his own side. So Leara, you actually
believe that Essendon will win. Marcus believes gold Corost will win.
So I what a bit of a debate on the
couch here, bit of fifty cuffs you stuff for.
Speaker 4 (15:45):
Me to start?
Speaker 1 (15:46):
Yes, well, I'm really big on Essendon in this game,
and I know they had a few injuries over the
by rounds with only Essendon will do that.
Speaker 3 (15:54):
Parish Redmen and Lanthort it was that match sim they
must have done but read and really the r test
for this one. So you think if they come back
it just shaws up that back line, It handles the
matchup of Ben King and Ben Long and can just
reduce the Son scoring to some capacity.
Speaker 1 (16:11):
Parish is out.
Speaker 3 (16:12):
I don't think it's a massive out, but I still
think there's enough guys in that Essenon midfield to take
it up to that Sun's midfield. You know Meyritt has
to play there. You've got Caldwell, You've got Durham coming back,
You've got Seifield, Nick Martin. These guys can definitely match
him on the inside. And I just think the Suns
in recent weeks they've allowed they haven't lost these games,
(16:33):
they've allowed a few comebacks like the Dogs in Darwin,
Hawks in Darwin.
Speaker 1 (16:36):
I'm sorry, Premiership contenders Dogs and Hawks.
Speaker 4 (16:39):
In Darwin where they should be.
Speaker 3 (16:43):
Gws when they actually lost that game and the D's
last week. The D's came back from thirty seven to one,
so they leave the door Ajar and I just think
Essendon can win it.
Speaker 1 (16:52):
He's actually got a good argument. I don't know. I'm
not going to agree with you, but you've actually put
a good argument on the table there.
Speaker 4 (16:57):
Marcus going to dish up some vombits here we go.
Speaker 1 (17:00):
Quess, what do you think about the Gold Coast?
Speaker 5 (17:02):
Well, it's more about it's more about it's more about
Essendon's inability to kick a winning score.
Speaker 2 (17:12):
In my opinion, I think it's not going to work.
And look, Essenon haven't been able to kick a winning score.
Speaker 1 (17:18):
You said that the majority of the same by the season.
Speaker 2 (17:21):
But I'm giving you a stat They've scored more than
eighty points just one once in their last ten matches and.
Speaker 1 (17:27):
That was eighty one points.
Speaker 2 (17:28):
And I think the Gold Coast, with that forward line,
they can definitely eclipse that. You look both you talked
about Reading really coming back in. They're both coming back
in off weeks off the sidelines. Yeah, that's true, and
really is very injury prone. Reid's also very injury prone.
And I think they just got the forwards to hick goals,
especially from midfield.
Speaker 1 (17:49):
I think that's something that.
Speaker 2 (17:50):
They've improved on this season massively compaired. They've excelled that
this season. Gold Coasts essen and it's been a struggle
for years getting goals from midfield. We've also we always
talked about Zach Merritz a right player if he could
just add an extra few goals to his game.
Speaker 1 (18:04):
He's kicked goal last year. He did started this year.
Speaker 2 (18:08):
He kicked two and four and then another bag of two.
We'll say back, but h that's that's it. That's always
kicked the season. So only goals in three games and
you look, cord Will needs to step up with that. Similarly,
Durham Martin's been chipping in as well, which has been
nice to see, but I think Gold Coasts have been
excellent on that front. And also I think coming off
the bar, you never know, like the young baby Bombers,
(18:29):
they might not be like fit enough and get up
enough to get up for this game after having a
week off going on holiday, whereas Gold Coast obviously they're
in the footy mood, footy mode, footy mood. There could
be a chance of playing finals. They've got more to
play for, That's what I'm saying. That definitely than the
Bombers and Obviously the big one will be haunted by
the mac Andrew goal after the last year. So to
(18:52):
be fair, mac Andrew just didn't allow Jake Mulchin to
kick five goals six on him last week.
Speaker 1 (18:55):
So he's a bit rattled. Caddy, Yes, yes, make make
Caddy of Nah, I'm still leading towards the start. I
think I liked Leo's argument better, but he argued the
points more. Marcus's points were better and the mac Andrew
just in the back of their head will scare them.
So I'm going to go Sons by twenty five points. Leo,
who you're going?
Speaker 4 (19:14):
I'm as by eleven on them.
Speaker 1 (19:17):
I don't.
Speaker 5 (19:17):
I don't.
Speaker 2 (19:18):
As much as I like it, I don't really see
it like it. But if there is a game that
calls them up, so I can see where you're coming from.
But I'll go Sons by twenty All.
Speaker 1 (19:25):
Right, there we go? All right? Geelong Verse Richmond is
the next one Saturday at four fifteen. Dad at the
category at Gumba g m HbA Stadium. You always laugh
when I say goodbar. Anyway, Marcus is the one you've got.
Speaker 2 (19:38):
The Geelong forward you look, yeah, ge Long forwards, especially
Dan and Gumba is gonna be and we talked about
the face for the gb West forwards against West Coast.
It could be similar sort of thing here, especially for
the leading Coleman middle.
Speaker 1 (19:52):
Person in the race. How do I say that. I
can't say Coleman. Yeah yeah, no, leader of Jessu.
Speaker 2 (20:00):
I think he could have a huge game here, But
I'm not really looking at just so much. I'm more
looking at the other forwards for Geelong in particular. We
talked about it Oli Henry. We talked about him so
far earlier in the season. He does need to step
up on form.
Speaker 1 (20:14):
He's been sub a little bit as well. He has
he has a weird sub. But you don't put talls
as your sub. That's not tall. Yeah, but he's taller
than mid size. You say Jamie Oli to mid size.
Surely Henry Alia plays taller for his height.
Speaker 2 (20:29):
But we talked about Oli Henry. He's only had multiple
goals in three of his thirteen games so far this season,
which really just.
Speaker 1 (20:35):
Isn't good enough.
Speaker 2 (20:36):
Is his average goals per game is almost as low
as his debut season. So look maybe a bit rough.
But we brought up the common medal. Now let's bring
up the Brownlow Medal. We brought up Dacos before, it's
only fair that we talk about bas Yep. First, I'm
going to ask the question where do you see him
in the Brownlow Medal? And also is he surely the
(20:58):
best trade so far that we thought that we've seen
come from the off season.
Speaker 4 (21:01):
I think he's in the thick of the Brownlow Medal race.
Speaker 3 (21:04):
O case I of it, but he's definitely in the
Brownlow race. And I think you'll have a big game
against Richmond which will give him the three votes. So
he's definitely He's definitely right there with Nick and based off.
Speaker 4 (21:19):
That is the best recruit this season.
Speaker 1 (21:20):
He definitely is the best recruit this season. He didn't
even play, he didn't even play the past season, and
he's just dominated. I think he is the brown new
favor right now. He's been awesome. The only thing that
is a bit different to day Cos de Coos sort
of Colin Red has a bit of a more widespread
on vote getters, whereas you got homes that will get
a lot of votes as well this year. So that's
the only thing I'm still cleaning towards Bats.
Speaker 2 (21:41):
Colin would have won a few more games as well,
which probably feeds in there. Well, yeah, three or they're
ten points clear of second on the h But now
we'll move on to Richmond, and we're not going to
start off with great news. Obviously Tom Lynch where his
brain fade?
Speaker 1 (21:57):
What was he doing?
Speaker 2 (21:58):
He gets suspended for five matches, rightfully so, and Richmond
their scoring is a big issue, especially with Tom Lynch out.
He didn't have a great game last week against Adelaide,
but still he's a presence, there is a factor. He's
one that normally kicks two or three. But Richmond have
only averaged fifty six point two points across their last
five and just forty eight points across their last three,
(22:20):
so this could spell a bit of danger here. So
in the scoreboard is the big Warrior's just you don't
want to get blown out and concede too high of
a score and let yourself down, particularly after a good
first half of the year, which is why we've already
given them the pass mark we have after that first
half of the season. They've won more games than many
expected them to. But are we worried about what can
(22:40):
happen now and into the back half of the season.
Has the young flare has a worn off as the
gloss goorn a little in between his reference, are your
legs tired?
Speaker 1 (22:52):
Quick massage before, quick massage before the next game.
Speaker 3 (22:56):
I think the gloss has has worn off. We've seen
the last two weeks against laid and the Dogs. They've
been smacked Geelong, and Geelong poses that same threat, but
it's about what they do, not just in this game,
but afterwards if they can snag another winner.
Speaker 4 (23:09):
I know they play North again down in.
Speaker 3 (23:11):
Hobart, then the Fortress Fortress, Yeah, sure mate, that's what
That's what they're going to be looking at.
Speaker 2 (23:16):
I think so and Geelong typically bounced back after not
getting a win at home.
Speaker 1 (23:22):
Yeah, so you've got Gelong have won their last sixteen
matches at home after sorry sixteen matches after home loss.
So they just bounced back. The bounce back their professional outfit,
especially after losing to Brisbane. They would have hated that loss.
So anyway, let's get into the tips in margin of
this one. I'm guessing we're all on the Cats. Marcus,
You've go first.
Speaker 2 (23:38):
Yep, we got the cricket bat over there, just off
set for the cricket show. We're feeling on later today,
and I'm raising the ton one hundred points.
Speaker 1 (23:48):
Exactly, one hundred eighty three for mine eighty three. I'm
going to go cat spy seventy. I think in the middle,
me in the middle. Why why not in the middle
of what are you talking about? He's oprating If it's slower, right,
I'm always a bit slower anyway, They'll ye get the
job done at the cuttery. Let's get into the next one.
Saturday Night at the Gabba is Brisbane verse pot Adelaide. Now, lads,
(24:11):
this may be a danger game for Brisbane. They're three
and four at home this season, which is really below
their standards. They hardly ever lose at the Gabba. They've
had some poor losses to g WS and Melbourne, both
teams are outside the top eight, and they lost to
them at home. Now, Leo, you're weird men that you
somehow go for Hawks Port Saint don't go for Port.
That's a bit you sort of do. But you've been
(24:32):
big on Port and you're big on Port in this one,
and especially as a danger game for Brisbane, I think.
Speaker 3 (24:36):
This is a massive danger game for the lines. If
they lose this and teams below them win, they could
four to six and they.
Speaker 4 (24:42):
Do have the toughest fixture left.
Speaker 3 (24:44):
I think we talked about that a few weeks ago
and Port have won three of the last four. They
haven't considered conceded more than seventy one in their last
four weeks.
Speaker 1 (24:54):
Defense is underrated.
Speaker 3 (24:55):
They are playing sneakily good football and the will be
buoyed by a big signing. Isn't that right?
Speaker 1 (25:02):
Stats man absolutely, Miles Bergman. A lot of Victorian clubs
were trying to poach him. He's just resigned for two years,
I believe. I think at Port Adelaide, which is really good.
He locked down Crips last week. But not only did
he lock him down, he was greater in attack himself.
He set up so many goals. He was getting into
set marks, he was getting tackles, then he'd set him
up on the other end. He's unbelievable. Probably I didn't
think he had that two way game in him. I
(25:24):
thought he was more of a defensive player. But now
he's showing that he can play really attacking. So he
went to Crips last week. Lads, do we think he
should go to McCluggage. Neil, one of the Ashcrofts, anyone
from Brisbane or is that a bit tougher. That's a
big step up from especially the form that Crips is in.
Speaker 3 (25:40):
I think based off the Crips matchup, he's probably more
suited to the locky Neil matchup that inside player, but
he probably could go with mcluggage both ways.
Speaker 4 (25:49):
So it's a tricky one.
Speaker 2 (25:51):
I think mcluggage in all honesty because mcluggage also has
that impact of going both ways if you can limit
that game. And also I think Butters and Neil was
just a fun matchup.
Speaker 1 (26:00):
Yeah, to look at two hardheads, two live.
Speaker 2 (26:03):
Wires going in it, they kind of like they like
getting in and dirty, getting the little handballs out, So
I think they'll be a fun matchup.
Speaker 1 (26:09):
Well, ickon, he goes mclogg. Yeah, good call, you've been
so big on Bergman, Leo, this is just off the cuff.
Would you rather Miles Bergman or Jason Horn Francis Horn.
Speaker 3 (26:18):
Francis Oh, I thought you would go berg asked me
Bergman or Nas Oh.
Speaker 1 (26:24):
We did talk about that in the office. I couldn't
remember which one. It was like that, and I'm lean
and Bergman, you know that recency bias, I reckon probably
watched Nas dominate my beloved Hawks. But we'll get onder.
We'll get onto that one later. Looking at the past
matchups you had, Hipput and Danaher dominated the last few meetings.
I think Hippud had five last time. The time before
Danaher had five. So the big forwards have dominated Port Brisbane.
(26:46):
Big fords have dominated Port in the past. Do we
think this is time for Logan Morris to shine? Lads?
It's got five goals shine, No, but it just continue
against Port, continually shining the fact that Hipput and Danaher
aren't playing, that he's going to shine against Port? Sip,
we're not playing. I what he's saying. It's the Jack
Nicholson of the AFL. Yeah, something like that. That you've
(27:07):
confused me. There five goals in the last two games,
seventeen across his last six. Do we think he's time
to shine again? He's got a hat trick of five goals.
Do we think think? I think he can.
Speaker 3 (27:18):
He's shown that he can do it against good defenses
like Geelong and even GWS as well. But Port's defense
has been quite good and I think a Leah might
get the match up or even a Sava could just
outbody him a bit. But if they can get him
on the lead where he does his best work, it's
logan time.
Speaker 1 (27:36):
It's logan time. I really like that. All right, tips
and margin, we've got a bit of a difference here, Leo.
I know you're keen on Port. I love Port. I'm
actually tipping Port here.
Speaker 3 (27:44):
I think this is a danger game for Brisbane and
I think they'll slip up.
Speaker 2 (27:49):
It definitely is a danger game. But this is where
they're the reigning premiers, the reigning premiers for a reason.
They've got to step up and I think they will.
Hear they comfortably win by four goals.
Speaker 1 (27:57):
Yeah, they just beat Geelong and Geelong they absolutely smacked
him down there, so linees by eighteen. They haven't been
as strong at home. So I'm gonna have an attentive
look at eighteen points, but they'll get the job done
at the Gabba. Before we get into the next game,
let's have a break with Stocket. Hey, Leo, quick question,
do you know what the ASEX means? Uh? Do you
mean AFLX? No? Mate, the ASEX the Australian Stock Exchange.
Oh man, I'm absolutely clueless for that stuff. Wow, Lucky
(28:20):
for you. Stockhead is a free website that gives you
everything you need to know about punting stocks on the ax.
Speaker 4 (28:25):
Damn, that sounds pretty good. Where do I check them out?
Speaker 1 (28:27):
Check it out via stockare dot com, dot you and
it's even easy for your little pe brain to understand.
Speaker 4 (28:32):
Damn.
Speaker 1 (28:34):
Next one on Saturday Night is Saint Kildup verse Hawthorne
seven forty at Marvel Stadium now Marcus. This one is
a tough ask for the Saints, but they were sold
last week. They were, but it is a tough ask.
I mean they're coming off, they're traveling back from Perth.
They were working in luck against Freemantle and it was
a late game Hawthorne. It's even like Saturday's a late
(28:54):
game as well. So Hawks with the extra day's rest, the.
Speaker 2 (28:57):
Kids coming in though they've definitely shorn. But they three
the cause an upset, haven't they so fast?
Speaker 1 (29:01):
And killed her? At Marvel Stadium, they beat the Cats there,
they beat I say almost beat. It's decently close.
Speaker 2 (29:08):
So they played Boligans Collingwood and so they definitely well
within their rights to you know, be in this contest.
Speaker 1 (29:15):
But it's the kids that I'm loving.
Speaker 2 (29:16):
It's did you say Taro did say.
Speaker 1 (29:23):
They kid was one hun two thousand and six.
Speaker 3 (29:27):
He knows how to find the sticks, he jumps highmark stable,
he knows how to kick going.
Speaker 1 (29:35):
He's got dying Viking welcome to the same.
Speaker 4 (29:41):
Myself.
Speaker 1 (29:41):
I don't think Leo yeah clapped himself as sure. We
want to bring SoCal ses to the foot. Yeah, and
that's a good one. They've got a good one chance
that they're doing well.
Speaker 2 (29:52):
So but if nas can resign, that will be the
big boost, along with Taru and that song. If you're not,
if you're not it up for that for a performance
after that song from Leo, then.
Speaker 1 (30:04):
I could be out the game.
Speaker 3 (30:05):
Saints could be up by ten goals in the last
quarter and they're singing the chant and I'm joining in.
Speaker 1 (30:10):
You know where I'm viking at directly.
Speaker 2 (30:12):
That bar one that's really signing in all seriousness will
be a huge boost for not only the fans, but
also just the playing group in general. It just shows
that you know, there's not a it's not another big
player leaving, and it's they believe in the project. They
believe in the Ross Line project, which which NASA is
a big fan of Ross Behind the scenes, so that'll
be huge. But we'll go across the hawthorn and they
(30:34):
suffered an injury which looks like could be for the
season with the bone stress in his back, and it's
Josh Weddle, his versatility and trying off half back. Lea
is so disappointed, is devastated. How big of an impact
will this be off and particularly versative?
Speaker 3 (30:53):
Yeah, I think off half back. You know we have
Cicily who should come back in. But if not, there's Scrimshaw.
There's sis wrong playing some good VFL form, So there
is there is the option there for half back.
Speaker 4 (31:04):
It is his versatility though.
Speaker 3 (31:06):
It's throwing him into the ruck or throwing him forward
or on a wing where it can change the game
for us. So to not have that option and be
a little bit limited there, that definitely could could affect
us going forward.
Speaker 2 (31:17):
And especially is that such a young age is a
young age. He's twenty one, so he's in that growing
age where like a gross By, these sort of injuries
that can happen careful make me grow. But is this
a chance to give Is this a game to give
guns and arrest? Look, I know you had the buy
a couple of weeks ago. He's played a lot of footage,
(31:39):
but he's come off to boys. But you've got players
like the likes of Luke Bruce, Kelsha mitche Lewis as
well coming in and playing well in the two's.
Speaker 1 (31:49):
It's a good problem to have. Do you just give
one a go?
Speaker 2 (31:51):
Look, boys, your sport isn't guaranteed for finals here with
a bit of competition in friendly competition, do you think
it's a risconsin and maybe play some of the twos?
Speaker 3 (32:02):
No, I wouldn't because like, yeah, we had to buy
two weeks ago and last week, but.
Speaker 1 (32:08):
Enough of that.
Speaker 3 (32:08):
I think it's more one of those things where the
forward line is unnoticed. They know that all of them
have to play a really strong level because of those
guys in the twos, and as you said, it's a
good problem to have. So I wouldn't be making any
changes this week, but for future games, and it's definitely
something to look at.
Speaker 2 (32:23):
I think you did mention you do have a seven
day break or free oh next week. Yes, yeah, so
that's maybe perhaps after that one could be a little
break for some of those players.
Speaker 1 (32:33):
Yeah, a good call. That's a very good problem to
have down forward for the Hawks. Who we go on?
That's Marcus. I'm going to go the Hawks by twenty points.
Speaker 3 (32:41):
Yeah, I'm going very similar, Hawks by nineteen. I think
Saints can definitely make a game out of it.
Speaker 1 (32:46):
No, I agree, I'm going to go Hawks by twenty five.
I think it would be very similar to the Collingwood game. Yeah,
I just don't know if the Saints have those clutch
players outside of maybe Roland Marshall that's going to like
get them over the line, whereas the Hawks just have
match winners everywhere. So twenty five points for the Hawks.
All right, Sunday Fun Day is the next one Sydney
versus Freeman or Sunday at one ten at the SCG.
(33:06):
This is actually going to be an awesome game.
Speaker 4 (33:07):
A Yeah, this is the game of the RAM for mine.
Speaker 1 (33:09):
Yeah. First thing I want to talk about on this
one is the Rucks.
Speaker 3 (33:12):
We've got Grundy in prime Grundy form is it is
so good to watch that hair mopping him out versus
Darcy and Jackson. Jackson, as we know, last six weeks
has been outstanding, but Darcy played his best game and
it feels like forever last weekend against the Saints. Quick
question lads who wins this ruck battle tough one.
Speaker 2 (33:34):
I'm still leaning towards Grundy has been unreal. He's been unreal,
but I'm still leaning towards Freeman or any I think.
I believe last time, one of the times Freemantle played
at the SCG, Darcy actually held Grundy very very well,
did a very good game. So if he can do
anything like that again and leave Jackson to do his
(33:55):
magic in the forward line, particularly for you know a
Sydney forward line that have Sydney defense that have struggled
with taller forwards, it could be Darcy and Jackson that
have the better on the noise.
Speaker 1 (34:06):
I reckon you guys are forgetting how good the unicorn,
the prime unicorn of Brodie Grundy unicorn toorn. You've got
Jackson is like a baby unicorn, and then you've got Grundy,
who's the king of the unicorns. He was the original
called Sam Darcy. So were you saying is like a
kid as well?
Speaker 2 (34:24):
Grundy birth Jackson pretty much pretty much, so they got
the similar haircuts.
Speaker 1 (34:29):
Grundy has a better overall game, So I'm going to
go Grundy in this one.
Speaker 3 (34:32):
Two weeks better than one, I think, But there is
some other big men I want to talk about in
this game. So Marty and Alex Pierce are both tests
to come back in, so you think, but you think
that matchup.
Speaker 1 (34:41):
Kind of cancels each other out. They play on each other.
Speaker 4 (34:45):
It is what it is.
Speaker 3 (34:46):
Tom mccarton should be back and you think he goes
straight to Tracy. I think that'll be a huge in
for Sydney because they obviously missed him last week. But
the free go forward I want to touch on Gia
miss He just one to watch in this one. He's
kicked four goals in his life seven games, and he's
just struggling to find a disposal.
Speaker 1 (35:04):
Do you think teams come out to not tonight tomorrow night?
Speaker 4 (35:07):
Do we think he could get dropped?
Speaker 2 (35:10):
We had four disposals against than he virtually did nothing.
So yeah, I think. I know he's a young player
and you've got to persist with these players sometimes, but
also I think it's good for confidence just to go
on the twos. If if he kicks a bag and
finds formed thing, great and he can bring him back
into the side. I don't think there's really any danger
(35:32):
in doing that. Look, I know there's a big game
and they need like they want to win this in
terms of top four hopes, But I think why not.
Speaker 1 (35:39):
Yeah, he just looks like he's lacking confidence. We've seen
him at his best that he's a jet, he's a
great kick. He doesn't usually miss, he's usually just dead eye.
But I like it genuinely. He should be dropped. He
should have been dropped before. They don't need him. Their
four mine is firing with that in their Their midfielders
have been kicking go even Brayshaw and Sorongo have kicked
a few goals the last like four weeks. They don't
really need him, even though I think he's going to
(36:00):
still be a decent player. Just get him some confidence
in the twos and then.
Speaker 2 (36:03):
Get especially especially with Darcy back and Jackson playing more
time at full Yeah.
Speaker 1 (36:06):
And then you can boss and I have good Foss.
I love what do they call him, the prancing Pony.
Speaker 4 (36:11):
The prancing jes I yeah, I love a bit of
Patrick Voss.
Speaker 1 (36:17):
Uh.
Speaker 3 (36:18):
The last point though on this game, and I think
we have to touch on it, is the midfield battle.
So for Sydney you've got the sort of attacking midfielders
of Heene, Warner and Errol, and then on the flip
side for Frio, you've got Sarong and Brashaw who are
more defensively minded. They can attack, they've hit the scoreboards, yes,
but they are more defensively minded. But what I will
say is the Swans, they have a tagger up their
(36:40):
sleeve by the name of James Jordan. Where do we
think he goes in this one? Does he go to Sarong,
does he go to Brayshaw or is there a someone
like a Jordan Clarks.
Speaker 1 (36:51):
That's that's a good question. I think you still stick
to one of.
Speaker 2 (36:53):
The midfielders, okay, because you look at when that last
quarter came around Brashaw and Wrong against Killed. They didn't
have a great first three quarters, but it was in
the last quarter when they had eight and seven disposals. Yeah,
that's what changed the game for Freemantle, bought him back
into the game, and then the two fours did the rest.
So I think you still go to one of those.
(37:14):
If I had to pick one, I would probably.
Speaker 1 (37:16):
Go to Sarong.
Speaker 2 (37:17):
Okay, more damaging, yeah, probably damaging, But even like I
want to see someone on Leam Ryan Luke Ryan, So.
Speaker 1 (37:25):
He's been pretty mid. Do you think James Jordan to
Luke Ryan potentially, h No, I'd still put him.
Speaker 2 (37:30):
I still put him to bra Shaw, but perhaps one
of the one of the forwards could.
Speaker 1 (37:34):
Do in a gating role. I'd put him to Clark personally.
Clark just got so many insept marks he sets up.
He's like what Luke Ryan was, sort of set up
a lot of the play. He gets so much of
the ball and he's so damaged. He goes along. He's
been He gets a lot of incept marks, like right
at the top of the four to fiftie. Just even
just if you're on him, he's not going to take
as many marks. So I'd be going to Cluck.
Speaker 3 (37:54):
I see your point, but I just think Jordan might
not have the acceleration to stick with Jordan.
Speaker 1 (37:59):
Yeah, that's it, because he's one of the fastest.
Speaker 3 (38:01):
I see both your arguments, and I think he goes
to Brayshaw. But yeah, I just think I think Sydney
win this one.
Speaker 1 (38:07):
Yeah, what do you reckon? Your margin is here? I
got two goals at home, two goals. It should be
pretty close. I reckon Marcus.
Speaker 2 (38:12):
I think Sidney also get the job done. I think
they were press players coming back when we go four goals.
Speaker 1 (38:17):
Now, I just want them to kick straight, kick your
set shots straight and they should get the job done.
Swan's by six points. I think this should be an
absolute cracker.
Speaker 3 (38:23):
All right.
Speaker 1 (38:23):
We're into the final game of the round, Adelaide versus
Melbourne Sunday three fifteen.
Speaker 4 (38:28):
At the Adelaide Oval.
Speaker 1 (38:29):
Now, ladds, the Demons actually have a great record against
the Crows. I said this exact thing about the Demons
against goald Coast and then they lost. But I'm going
to say it again. Demons have won four of the
last five against them at the Adelaide Oval, which really
surprised me because they were smashed by the Bombers there
in gather round. That was that feels like so long
a had smashing me.
Speaker 4 (38:47):
Gathered around.
Speaker 1 (38:47):
That was thirty nine points and it would have been
a lot more. Melbourn keeped a lot of junk time goals.
I'm pretty sure from memory.
Speaker 3 (38:53):
If you guys remember that, I have no idea, mate,
you're on the probably we kicks a little.
Speaker 1 (38:59):
We kicked look, two or three goals in the last minute.
That's all right. We've also got lever do we think
he comes back in because he was dropped? I think
you have to. The Sun's kicked a lot of goals
on him. They said they prove that they need another
defender down there. So what do we think about leave? Yeah,
you've got to pull the lever Simon get him in.
Oh my god, I like that, like that, like that,
Oh my god, and I like you. Oh thanks mate.
(39:20):
I've also got the Demons have conceded ninety one plus
points in three of the last four weeks. And I'm
just going to put a sneaky shout out to Stephen
made to Stephen Mate, hit out on him. I'm good,
he's a big man. Literal shouting at him. Yeah, Stephen May.
Now the form of Stephen May has really not helped
them at all. He's considered three goals to Ben kim
King last week. You've got George Hardis kicked seven goals
(39:43):
four on him. Mix Day kick two. That's he doesn't
kick many goals Mixed Day, Logan Morris kicked three and
even Tom Lynch, who didn't had two disposals last week,
kicked three goals three on him. Which cro do you
think can go big here on Stephen May? Because I
just don't trust him in the defense at all anymore.
He used to be a star, but not anymore.
Speaker 4 (39:59):
I think he's going on to Phil Thorpe. So the
man that bid?
Speaker 1 (40:04):
How good is that beard? Are you trying to grow
the thrill the bid? Or is it just going to stay?
I can't. I can't be that good.
Speaker 2 (40:10):
Yeah, I agree, I think Phil Thorpe's matchup, but who knows,
it might be one of the other ones that get
off the chain because they're so big in size, can
compare to some of the others. But Philthorpe and May
I want to see a little bit of fisty cuffs.
Speaker 3 (40:22):
Why not?
Speaker 1 (40:23):
Who are you taking? Because Thriller is bigger. But I
think even may Love, Yeah, he's got more experienced Stephen May.
Speaker 2 (40:30):
Look and yeah, what animal are we comparing Thilthorpe to Bellthorpe?
Speaker 1 (40:37):
Okay, have beards. We'll go the Crows. They continue to
be top two on offense and defense. I just want
to highlight their defense specifically, I think Leo has been
talking about all season. They haven't conceded more than sixty
three points across their last five games. We've got Joshi
Warrel down there I talked about him on the Sunday,
so I want to talk about him again. He's got
the second most intercept possessions in the league this season,
(40:58):
and they just look a lot more struck down there.
So obviously the last couple of years their forward line
has been firing. But the reason they're good this year
commared to last year is their defense. That's personally, I
think we are a big Josh Warrels show.
Speaker 3 (41:09):
Yes, a lot of time for Joshi Waller, and that
Adelaide backline is.
Speaker 2 (41:13):
So good it's called a one hundred and fifty three
super Coach points Joshi Warrell last week.
Speaker 1 (41:18):
Yeah he's in my draft team. I didn't even know that. Yeah,
captain him this week? All right, tips and margin? Who
we going? Lea then cron by thirty eight. But I
think these can stay in this one. But that forward
line is just chef's kiss, Chef's kiss, Marcus the Crows
by five goals almost aid the Dzer but Crows, oh yeah,
definitely the Crows. I'm going to go Crows by thirty eight.
(41:39):
I think the Deeds mid have two or three good
quarters like they've done the last couple of weeks. Not
meet in the middle and then the Crows get the
job done. All right, let's get into it. Have done
all of the other round seventeen games. Let's get into
the locker of the week and big calls. Oh, Lear,
you got to get your lock right this week. Come
on mate, we'll start.
Speaker 4 (41:55):
Off with you.
Speaker 1 (41:55):
It's a lock.
Speaker 3 (41:56):
Bailey Dale twenty plus disposal, that's easy. All conceded that
thirty three to aim On last week.
Speaker 4 (42:02):
Who is Hawthorne's half back?
Speaker 3 (42:03):
And I just don't think nor have any pressure forwards
that can go on Dale.
Speaker 2 (42:07):
Crack the fifty this time. He honestly could get forty,
almost got it against the Bombs.
Speaker 1 (42:12):
He could.
Speaker 2 (42:13):
I'm gone pretty safe two and it's in the same game. Actually,
I'm going to go see him Darcy two plus goals.
Speaker 1 (42:18):
You're not going to like our big calls either, do
you guys? Just going against North honestly fair, it's the
easiest matchup of the week. Yeah, I'm going to go
for my lock. Collingwood to beat Carlton. I love that lot.
Just Carton losing is a lock. I'm sorry Carlton fans.
And they've won six to the last seven the Pips, so.
Speaker 4 (42:33):
I can't see carn't winning this game exactly.
Speaker 1 (42:36):
That's probably even if it's close, I just cannot see
them win. So that's my lock. Big calls. Here we go.
This is the week. I'm telling you, this is no
week Shard. Please, you're not going to get get some
positivity on this show, mate, Marcus Well, if.
Speaker 2 (42:50):
Chol and Gunston can combine against the North Defenders on
of twelve goals, then i'mgoing Darcy and Norton to combine
for ten plus.
Speaker 4 (42:58):
I can go twelve fifteen.
Speaker 1 (43:00):
I haven't got a bi call right this year, so
I'm going to stick to the ten. The other one
that hasn't got one, you got one, but I got
pretty close.
Speaker 2 (43:08):
I don't think I've got I've done a few funny
ones where like you know, oh like Jack Higgins said
he all loves South Australia and then you boys have
you know, gone a bit safer.
Speaker 1 (43:17):
But that's fine. So I'll go Dancings ten.
Speaker 3 (43:20):
Goals, Riley West four plus goals, but it's kicking two
hundred points.
Speaker 1 (43:27):
Look, my reasoning is that you don't have the matchup
for him.
Speaker 3 (43:30):
If Archie and McDonald play, there might be a little
bit underdone or just not fully fit West can exploit
that and if they don't play then he's playing on
him mkirch O Caleb Daniel Zach Fisher.
Speaker 1 (43:41):
Right, So you're actually right, not in terms of like
mcach is a good player, but none of those players
are defensive minded at all. So yeah, I agree, we
might we might have to bring in someone from the two.
I got no idea who we might have to bring
out a player, Yeah, like you know, like a defender.
We don't do that very often. I'm going to go
as my big call, Ben Long, four plus goals and
six plus marks against Essendon. I'll asked for the four
(44:03):
plus goals, but you wanted a few marks in their Leoh,
he's kicked three plus five times this season. He's had
five plus marks a lot against the lower teams. So
you got the Eagles, the Tigers, of the Saints, Theesident
around that mark as well. So four bus goals and
six plus marks been Long.
Speaker 3 (44:17):
I love it, And I reckon, whatever your big call
is or lock leave it in the comments and.
Speaker 1 (44:22):
Yeah, I reckon we'll judge them. We could judge them
on the short or something. Send some abuses, yeah, send
it to I definitely did not have a traumatic childhood.
