Instagram and TikToker on Facebook it's actually Ossie Rules Today
and everywhere else it is AFL Today AU. We've also
got the nrber's social posts that we like doing as well. Leoni,
you want any hints there.

Speaker 4 (01:08):
We actually haven't planned that one out, so thanks for throwing.

Speaker 3 (01:11):
But yeah, make sure about that today.

Speaker 1 (01:13):
It'll be up today, so make sure you check that
out and get this podcast wherever you get your podcasts
on the platforms. All right, round nineteen previews. Let's get
into it lads. Thursday Night Footy at Marvel Stadium seven
thirty is Essendon VERSUSJWS. Leo, what do you got here?

Speaker 2 (01:28):
I want to start on GWS in this one. They're
one of the best form sides in the competition, having won.

Speaker 4 (01:33):
Six of their last seven.

Speaker 2 (01:35):
You're you're on the back of them, You're the bagging
the last week wasn't banging them. I just don't think
they will be a threat in finals. I want to
highlight a couple of key Giants players in that period
that have been so crucial towards them.

Speaker 4 (01:48):
Tom Green, he's been a contestant.

Speaker 2 (01:51):
Ball is a great clearance player and he has a
very good record against the Bombers.

Speaker 4 (01:55):
His last five games against them, he averages thirty one touches.

Speaker 1 (01:59):
So I'm looking and a.

Speaker 2 (02:00):
Big Tom Green game spoiler alert, and we've talked about him.
I think every show the last five weeks about the
Giants Aaron Cadman.

Speaker 4 (02:08):
Forget about Caddy, who will touch on?

Speaker 3 (02:10):
We want cad Man, the cad Man. Cad Man a
step up.

Speaker 1 (02:15):
He's a step up.

Speaker 2 (02:15):
He's the Alpha with potentially no Jesse Hogan and just
that lack of I guess key defensive support for the
Bombers with either la Verde or Blackiston potentially on Fiel.

Speaker 1 (02:26):
For Blackiston, he's got a big task of me he does.
I just think he will dominate.

Speaker 2 (02:30):
The averages three and a half goals in his last
five so he has just been in fantastic form.

Speaker 1 (02:36):
I think.

Speaker 2 (02:37):
On the other side of things, we'll get to the
Bombers now. They've lost their last six. They've had injuries galore.

Speaker 1 (02:42):
We've heard that.

Speaker 2 (02:43):
Nay Caddy's injured, one of their shining lights for the season.
They've announced another debutante, Liam McMahon who he's been tearing
it up in the VFL.

Speaker 1 (02:52):
Hasn't his stats guy? Yeah, second most goals in the
VFL this season. I believe he's got the most goals
in the VFL at Carlton and that escedence.

Speaker 3 (03:00):
Wherever you put him, he just dominates. That's a bit
of a concern for us in the BFL side. He's
played six games and he's nineteen goals in his leading
goal kick.

Speaker 1 (03:07):
To be fair, that's a bloody good record for anyone,
so good on him.

Speaker 2 (03:11):
Well, now, lads, Essendon have currently sixteen injured players. I
believe it might be seventeen, it might be fifteen, but
we'll say sixteen.

Speaker 1 (03:18):
Marcus.

Speaker 4 (03:18):
I want to ask you what happens if Essendon can't
feel the team.

Speaker 3 (03:22):
I generally don't know. Maybe who knows, Maybe we'll just
pick players from the street bring Yeah, it was chance
after Don's want me to don the sash.

Speaker 2 (03:32):
It's funny you say that, Marcus, because I was. I
was talking to my mate Brad Scott and David Burham.
We're talking about a number of things. We talk about
the Essendon edge and they just think that you personify
Theesdon edge. So I'm going to present you with this
by number.

Speaker 4 (03:47):
How many players? How many players of you?

Speaker 2 (03:48):
I don't know, but like your size. They like you
saw what you did in the hot yoga. You've got
a bit of flexibility about you.

Speaker 3 (03:56):
What can be distraction?

Speaker 1 (03:57):
You can don the sash.

Speaker 4 (03:58):
Yeah, what position do you think you'll play?

Speaker 3 (04:00):
Cent a half bench? Could be the sub.

Speaker 1 (04:04):
There's there's been a few subs this year that haven't
come on. So there we go. You've got to go
on the ground.

Speaker 3 (04:09):
I would like to take my air for footballing career
up until under fourteen's and then obviously my parents, all
the all the girls that report didn't report to more
DMS when I was younger.

Speaker 1 (04:22):
No, what about us? Uh, yeah, you guys as well.
I got the jersey from Brad Scott almost more.

Speaker 3 (04:28):
Need you go soon?

Speaker 1 (04:29):
So there we go? Yeah No.

Speaker 2 (04:30):
I actually called him up to be like can I
get a go? Like I hate but surely I could
do a job small forward and they were like no,
but actually we're big fans of the show and we
want big boy.

Speaker 3 (04:43):
Oh, there we go.

Speaker 2 (04:44):
Can man, you could actually play lockdown defender. Just get
you get your bunda in the way and you can
knock a few people, only one and you want Cadman
body and with your bunda.

Speaker 3 (04:56):
He will call him on my shoulders.

Speaker 2 (04:58):
No, I just just get some defensive blocks on him.
You'll be fine anyway, while down to Marcus and should we.

Speaker 1 (05:03):
Get the tips? Well down to Marcus, that is that's
an incredible effort debuting for Essenon. Obviously they've got the
most debutance now because Marcus has sticked that over the
line now. But genuinely though, that is exciting for Lea
McMahon as a Bombers fan. You're excited. Let's get into
the tips in margin because we forgot about this game.

Speaker 3 (05:18):
But is it a conflict of interest if I put
my tip in because I might be playing this game?

Speaker 1 (05:22):
Yeah? Maybe?

Speaker 2 (05:22):
Actually, so you're going to decline from your tip? I
think now Dubs a thousand, five thousand, Giants fifty, I'm.

Speaker 1 (05:30):
Going to say Giants by sixty. What a game preview
that was that that was a bit of a bit
of fun. Friday Night footy is the next one, Brisbane
versus Western Bulldogs seven forty at the Gabba. Yeah, we've
got an interesting game of Marcus, we sure do.

Speaker 3 (05:43):
And it's a bit more serious game. So we'll take
this one a little bit more.

Speaker 1 (05:47):
Anyone's debuting for Brisbane off the Bulldogs?

Speaker 3 (05:50):
No, maybe that's quite the results last week. I believe
this is more of an eight pointer for Brisbane more
so than the Western Bulldoers, which a lot of people
might be so prized in hearing that. Okay, but I'm
just we look at the end of the season for
both sides. I'll quickly name it out the Lions, you
got the Dogs, the Suns, Collingwood, Sydney, Freeman and Hawthorne

(06:11):
all inside the top nine. And then the dogs relatively
lighter will a lot lighter in obviously the Lions, the Bombers, Giants, Demons,
Eagles and Dockers.

Speaker 4 (06:22):
Yeah, it's a big game for the lines when you
read that.

Speaker 3 (06:24):
Out, it is especially at home against you know, one
of those sides that might miss out in the finals
and the Doggies you never know, but this relatively easy
picture plays in their hand. But this is why I
think the Lions have to win this one. And they
did prevail in the previous meeting earlier in the season
and gather around Will we were there, gather around and
at Norwood they came from behind thirty nine points behind.

Speaker 1 (06:46):
Was crazy third quarter. Late in that third quarter, hip
Hood kicked five on that day. I love the weird grounds. Hipwood,
it's back at the Gavas. I don't know if he
can dominate, but he does love the weird country vibe,
doesn't he?

Speaker 3 (06:57):
But speaking of hip Wood, this leads into a one
little debate here Hipput and Morris, Yeah, versus Norton and Darcy.
Obviously Hipwod and Norton. You kind of look at those
like you're like, ah, they can they be the number
one elite forwards in the competition. There's always been a
lot of question marks around them. They're in good form.
And then you got two young stars and Morris and Darcy,

(07:18):
Which do I kicks more goals in this game?

Speaker 4 (07:20):
It's it controversial for me to go with Hipwood and Morris.

Speaker 1 (07:23):
I think it is because I think it's just Morris
versus Norton and Darcy because average, Yeah.

Speaker 4 (07:28):
It's a controversial for me to go with Morris.

Speaker 1 (07:30):
Yeah, because I don't have any reasoning behind that. I
do have a leader of reasoning.

Speaker 2 (07:35):
I think firstly, I think that the lines team defense
is better.

Speaker 1 (07:39):
You've got guys like Dunkley Neil.

Speaker 2 (07:42):
They are very good defensively putting pressure on I don't
think the Dogs have that. But also just as a
defensive unit. I want to call out the Dogs backline here.
I think it's reived. It has received a lot of
flak this week and Bevo's system has gone under fire,
which I think has been fair enough. I think the
criticism is fair. Bevo said in his post match press
conference that he's he alluded to the fact that he

(08:03):
wanted to stay with a very similar sort of system, which, look,
I don't for a smaller forward line, I'm not totally against,
but I think that mix needs to be altered somehow.

Speaker 3 (08:15):
You got exploded against the tool for it.

Speaker 2 (08:17):
Yeah, when you're come up against those big boys, you
need to look at bringing Liam Jones. But I think
overall they need a ruthless edge in that back line.
I think you look at some back lines. You look
at Collingwood's back line, They've got a hard edge. They're
not allowing anything through. They fight for every scrap. Rory
loves a great interceptor, so o'donald does enough, I think.

(08:37):
But there's guys there like Bailey Dale, great player, Johanneson, Bramble.
Are these guys fighting for every scrap in the back line?
Are they are putting their body on the line consistently enough.

Speaker 3 (08:47):
They're more like fighting.

Speaker 1 (08:50):
Yeah, that's the same as it North and a few
other teams. That's what annoys me. Racking for North, but
Dogs have a few players like that. They need some
dogging them. That's Logan Morross to outscore Norton and Darcy
Locket in Well you're just by himself. Yeah, hip boy
won't play.

Speaker 3 (09:04):
There, breaking news, that's crazy. Well, on the back of
that wonderful defensive chat from Leo, I'm going to predict
an absolute shootout in this one because both teams average
more than ninety points again this season. Okay, in fact,
they average, you combine, one hundred and ninety seven points
this season, So I'm predicting absolute shootout both teams. One

(09:24):
hundred plus definitely could be on the.

Speaker 1 (09:26):
Cards, and the defensive the Lions has like dropped at
home this season. Jack Payne being Jack Payne is a
massive Antsworth injured last week? Yeah, would do they come
back into the side ever.

Speaker 4 (09:36):
I just think he's been playing VFL. Yeah, it could
be a chance.

Speaker 1 (09:39):
He's a really good player. He would be playing at
most clubs, but I think just Brisbon have.

Speaker 4 (09:42):
A lot of different because of injuries as well he
struggled to find.

Speaker 3 (09:45):
Of course, of course we've done that one tips and margin.
Where we go on Marcus on going to go the
lines by twenty seven. Gabba too much.

Speaker 1 (09:53):
Of a fortress.

Speaker 3 (09:54):
But it hasn't been a fortress this year. It hasn't been.
They build anti the lines more than the dogs.

Speaker 1 (09:59):
Yep, Louisey eleven eleven. I'm going to go lines by
twenty five. The dogs just don't know how to get
it done against the good teams Saturday. Let's get into
Saturday Hawthorne verse Port Adelaide Saturday or one twenty at
University of Tasmania Stadium that's down in Launceston. Now, I
wanted to start on the key outs in this one. Now,
possibly no Rosie went. He was subbed off with a
finger injury last weekend. He's a test so and we've

(10:24):
talked about this on the show. I reckon even last
season that Port Adelaide have played him through injury a
few times and it's hinted their performance.

Speaker 3 (10:30):
So would you play him through injury? Would you risk
him for this one?

Speaker 1 (10:32):
I wouldn't personally because they're not going to make finals,
but what would you guys? It's an emotion game. What
do you think Port Adelaide and Ken Hinkley you're going
to do well? They'll play him, probably won't playing, but
they shouldn't play him. Yeah, so I might play Horn Francis.
Maybe he's already He's already said he's out for Port Adelaide,
which is obviously a huge add He had twenty seven
and three goals last week. Just looking at some of
the Port Adelaide players before I get into the Hawks,
will he reoli? He's plays with a bit of emotion

(10:55):
against the Hawks. A few things came out in the
media last time they played. But he averages three goals
in his last five meetings with the Hawks, and Butters
without Horn Francis and possibly without Rosie the likes of Bergman,
I think we can step up a little bit.

Speaker 3 (11:07):
But Butters has to go big again.

Speaker 1 (11:09):
He averages twenty seven disposals and his last five against
the Hawks. But I wouldn't be surprised with these big outs.
He could get thirty five very easily unless the Hawks
tag Butters. What do we think of that one? Do
the Hawks need to tag him?

Speaker 2 (11:20):
Let's well, I think they do, and I think you'll
elaborate more on that, Marcus, But I don't think we will.
I think, okay, so last week, we're not gonna tag Sarrong,
We're not going to tag Jordan Clark.

Speaker 4 (11:31):
I think we're just going to back in what we
have been doing. Is it the right decision. We'll find
out Sunday night in our rap show.

Speaker 3 (11:38):
I don't think so. I think it's an absolute face
if you don't tag Butter especially it's a fast fast,
a fast because you have to tag this man because
if you tag, if you tag him somewhat, you keep
him to sixty to seventy percent of his game.

Speaker 1 (11:51):
Yep.

Speaker 3 (11:51):
With a tag, who steps up for port Adelaide. Yeah,
if it's not Molas Bergmann, I'm looking at what the
likes of the Willem Drew Richard Richard's. Maybe even Jayce
Bergowan can flow.

Speaker 1 (12:05):
Through the Actually, they might play jays Berger and through
the midfield. Wouldn't be surprised if they do that. If
Rosie is out. Yeah, but I think I think that's
the main play. Hagging Bottles Yep, yep, good call, good call.
With those outs, I personally think this could be a
percentage booster for the Hawks. Hawks at ten and one
in their last eleven at Utah Stadium. It's an absolute fortress.
There's seventy five percent. They're down there all time, they've

(12:25):
been playing there for so many years, and the midfield
midfield outs for Port just gonna help them. That's where
the Hawks lost the last game against Frero. We talked
about this, Leo talked about on the last show that
the last quarter was dominated by Brashaw and Sorong. If
you take out Rosie and Jason or Francis, then the
Hawks can I think they can run over him. But Leo,
you're a Hawks man and for some reason, you're a
little bit nervous every time every time fort Adelaide's mentioned,

(12:47):
he gets a little bit shaky.

Speaker 2 (12:49):
You didn't have to sit through gather around this year.
I sat there, was miserable, definitely was sober. It was
just a horrible experience. And that's what Port do again.
They just have the wood over us. And you mentioned
seventy five percent win record, fourth on it UTAZ. That's
three out of four. Correct me if I'm wrong, Yeah,

(13:09):
quick maths. Yeah, so we played four games. It's our
fourth game there this year and we've won all three.

Speaker 1 (13:15):
Numerology but if you win this one, then you'll lose
two down the track. I don't think you're going to
lose this one. You are right, you're a bit worried,
but you shouldn't be one. I'll give you some stats
that actually help help the Hawks winning here. Jack Gunstan
has more goals against the Power than any other opponent
across his career. He's got forty one goals across sixteen
matches and he had six goals. I know you lost,
but he still had six goals in that last minute,

(13:36):
so he can fire up again. The old Man and
I really believe this is a must win for the Hawks.
I think they can win, but this is a really
tough fixture for the rest of the season. We talked
about the Lines obviously having the toughest fixture. I'd say
the Crows. Sorry, the Hawks are up there in the
top four toughest fixtures. I don't know where Fox Footy
ended up ranking him, but they're still to play the Crows,
the Pies and the Lions this season. So would you
guys say to must win as well? I think they

(13:58):
must win by a fair bit for the percentage of well.

Speaker 3 (14:00):
Yeah, they're all coming up in the next month as well.

Speaker 1 (14:02):
It was the last month of the season. Yeah, for
the season, so that could decide we were talking about
finals or top four, anything it could be could decide
a lot.

Speaker 3 (14:09):
So that's going to be interesting, all right. You already
sort of know my tip.

Speaker 1 (14:11):
I'm going to go Hawks by thirty like, so I'm
gonna go I'm gonnaup there, I'm gonna go forty. I
think they can do this comfortably, especially with the port
adelaid outs. You know, I'll join you. Oh, Hawks by
forty forty four and a half goals, Hawthorn. So you're
back at them, You're back in your voice against Port Yes.

Speaker 3 (14:27):
Form to board his nails, look at him, bite you
if we get if we get any photos of Leo
crying or if he loses another wizard hat in a
Hawthorn patelaide.

Speaker 1 (14:35):
Yeah, too soon, too soon. I wonder what happened to
that wizard had a few Port a Lead fans ripped
it up. Probably Pete on it at the port Wow. Okay,
yeah yeah you would of course this just in lads.
Willie Rioli has been dropped by Port Adelaide for poor form.
Now I just mentioned him at the start of this
game preview having a great record against the Hawks, that's
another key out for Port Adelaide. Surely that that helps

(14:56):
the Hawks later.

Speaker 2 (14:57):
I get he wasn't in form, but if you look
back to we pass games against Hawthorne, as you said,
stats guy.

Speaker 1 (15:02):
He does well.

Speaker 4 (15:03):
They should have kept him in for one more I reckon.

Speaker 1 (15:05):
Yeah, that really really surprised me. Saturday four p fifteen
of the SCG. Next one here Sydney at versus North
Melbourne LEO. There's a few North plays that might be
coming back.

Speaker 2 (15:15):
Yes, so Wardlaw, Alderu and al Mark are all in
the frame to return for North. But Laki is TBC
on the Evury list, so a little bit of a
watch on him. But even though they might have those ins,
Jerry being out through suspension is massive.

Speaker 4 (15:31):
This just spells one thing for me.

Speaker 2 (15:33):
Brody Grundy is gonna go Boonanaz and he's gonna have
a massive game here. And I'm gonna ask you boys,
we talked about his All Australian credentials. If he has
some big game here again, is he now confirmed the
All Australian ruckman or confirmed? Like lock it in, like
put it as your lock of the week, Lock of
the Year.

Speaker 1 (15:51):
I'm going to agree with you.

Speaker 3 (15:51):
On this one. I didn't say this a couple of
weeks ago, but.

Speaker 1 (15:53):
With Jerry out for three weeks, he's gone Gorn and
Grundy has had the best that line of rucks for
nine weeks. That's just easily you can look at the stats.
So I'm gonna say, yeah, I can't believe I'm saying that,
because if you asked me a month ago, I would
have said, oh, it's got to be gone to Cherry.

Speaker 3 (16:07):
But lock in Grundy. What do you think, Marcus? You know,
I think it's convinced me. I'm gonna go Grundy. Yeah,
and he will go big in this one.

Speaker 1 (16:14):
Yeah. He's also had nine straight games of nine m
plus disposals. He's just a midfield. It's just an extra
midfield of the Unicorn.

Speaker 4 (16:19):
So him is it Grundy? It is on the Swans.
One can't go on like this.

Speaker 2 (16:25):
It can on the Swan's ey won four of their
last five been in great form. Of course, having Errol
back has helped that, but I think just having Jordan
and Campbell flourishes Taggers has really sort of eased the
load off heeni and Warner, which is exactly what they
needed Heenie and Warner throughout the first half of the season.
We're just asked to do too much for their star power.
So it's really good that I guess so those guys

(16:47):
have come back in from a swan's perspective to add
some depth to what they needed. But Jawn's been tagging.
I think this week he might have a week off.
I think Campbell might go to mkircher and Cox. He
might just go to to JJ and B Like, I reckon,
we don't need a tag do it?

Speaker 1 (17:04):
And he's like, what do I do? Then he's like,
go have fun.

Speaker 3 (17:09):
Play football. It'd be like he's on holiday. It's a
dog off a leash.

Speaker 4 (17:12):
Go get a possession, go kick a goal.

Speaker 1 (17:14):
You can do it. He's like, I'm going to do it.
That's why James Shawten's going to be free this week.
He's going to be a new lease on life.

Speaker 4 (17:22):
He's not going to be restricted to the tager position.

Speaker 3 (17:25):
I don't care if you're a tager.

Speaker 1 (17:26):
Obviously you like stopping the other opposition to getting disposal.

Speaker 3 (17:30):
But it's not a fun job.

Speaker 4 (17:31):
I feel good at it. I reckon, you'd find.

Speaker 1 (17:33):
It unless you're Ryan Crowley at a psycho and like
he was, a I don't think you're enjoying it.

Speaker 3 (17:39):
It reminds me of one of your best mates who's
been locked down a relationship.

Speaker 1 (17:43):
For years and now and now you convince him to
come on the lad's holiday, be close to home for
that one.

Speaker 3 (17:54):
Relationship to do it on.

Speaker 2 (17:56):
The North side of things, not the greatest record of
a six day break, isn't that rightly?

Speaker 1 (18:00):
Why do I have to a say this that I
know I'm the stats guy, but I don't like this one.

Speaker 3 (18:04):
North have lost their last twenty one games.

Speaker 1 (18:07):
Off a six day break and another six.

Speaker 2 (18:11):
Day break brutal and I just want to end on
this one calling out North Melbourne. They had two months
of competitive football. They beat Carlton, they were up and
about and they've now lost their last three by six
goals or more. Their competitive edge has sort of falling
off a cliff. They have to bring back that effort,
that consistency of effort, and they just can't revert back

(18:32):
to the same old North Melbourne. This is a big
six weeks for North. It'll tell us a lot about
the future of their club. They cannot hide they have
to perform.

Speaker 1 (18:39):
The future of the club will really.

Speaker 2 (18:41):
Yes, if it's the same old North, they're going to
be bottom four next year.

Speaker 1 (18:45):
They show some spirit that actually might improve.

Speaker 3 (18:47):
Actually you've got a good point. Then what's say if
you win one game for the rest of the season
and is it a good season?

Speaker 1 (18:52):
And again, is it a pass? Ah?

Speaker 3 (18:55):
Probably not?

Speaker 1 (18:55):
No, no, because the original pass I think was like
if everyone was going six or seven to get.

Speaker 2 (19:00):
That outside of the bottom four, would have been if
they get seven wins and finished bottom four, I think
that's all right.

Speaker 3 (19:04):
Yeah, poor, that's not gonna happen.

Speaker 1 (19:06):
It's not gonna happen. Tipson margin. I think we're all
going to go similar here, Leo Swan's forty five, forty five, Yeah,
Swan's thirty two, thirty two. I'm gonna go the swan
by forty on the dot. Hey Leo, quick question, do
you know what the ASEX means? Uh?

Speaker 4 (19:20):
Do you mean AFLX?

Speaker 1 (19:21):
No?

Speaker 3 (19:22):
Mate? The AX the Australian Stock Exchange.

Speaker 4 (19:24):
Oh man, I'm absolutely clueless with that stuff.

Speaker 1 (19:27):
Wow. Lucky for you. Stock Heed is a free website
that gives you everything you need to know about punting
stocks on the ASX. Damn, that sounds pretty good. Where
do I check them out? Check it out via stockare
dot com, dot you and it's even easy for your
little p brain to understand. Damn. Next one is it
the mcg Carlton verse Melbourne Saturday at seven thirty five, Now, Marcus,

(19:47):
both of them have lost four of their last fives.
This one could be pretty interesting.

Speaker 3 (19:51):
They have, but as was said in the previous shows,
Melbourne's form suggests better. I just think that the way
that we make it, it's all on the ites. That's
do lie leading.

Speaker 4 (20:01):
You can't talk about your girlfriend like that?

Speaker 1 (20:05):
Well what that's got there? Yeah, we got there.

Speaker 3 (20:11):
Anyways, the Melbourne's form has been better, and look, I
think the Demons have got a good chance to win
four on the trot here. Obviously, they beaten North Melbourne
last week, they got Carlton this week, Saint Kilda following that,
and then West Coast.

Speaker 1 (20:25):
So you're not wrong finals, well come now, AFLX. Yeah.

Speaker 3 (20:31):
Possibly, but I think this will still be a somewhat
close game in my opinion, because previous meetings suggest so,
or if the last five have been decided by five
points or less so, and the previous seven meetings have
been low scoring, so I think it'll be low scoring
close an absolute scrap and Carlton have averaged sixty eight

(20:52):
points from the last five games. It also suggests that
it could be a low scoring game, so look, if
you're if you're watching this, you might want to put
your eyes on the other game, which we'll get too.

Speaker 1 (21:02):
I think that helps Melbourne a lot that Calvin von
the average sixty eight and last five because the D's
aren't the best offense, don't have the most offensive weapons
gone around anyway, So that's that's a good sign for Melbourne.

Speaker 3 (21:12):
And the MCG has been a low scoring stadium this season,
only averaged one hundred and sixty three points across all
games this season. But now one that can sort of
break that low scoring barrier has been one person in
that Melbourne forward line that stats guy loves.

Speaker 1 (21:29):
I've been loving him. He's my new grind. Was Jake
the Snake Milkshake Melksham. He's had three straight games of
four plus goals, as I mentioned, the first since David
Neats in two thousand and six for Melbourne. Who matches
up on him lines. I genuinely don't think he looks
a lot quicker off the lead. I reckon, he's getting
better with age somehow, and yeah, who matches up on him?

Speaker 4 (21:46):
Nick kainks Yah, That's what I was thinking.

Speaker 1 (21:47):
I reckon, Yeah, but is he quick enough to keep
up with him? Yeah?

Speaker 3 (21:50):
I think Nick Kaine's has been brilliant. He has been great. Yeah,
this season it was a bit of a shaky start,
but I think there was a lot of just Carlton
bean shaking players jumping into him. But I think it's
been fantastic and he would be the best, most informed
matchup as well to face one of the most informed
forwards in the comp what's.

Speaker 1 (22:07):
To pass for Carlton because he's just in great form?
Is it two or less? Is that like the two less?
I reckon because he just can't I was gonna say,
you can't miss He missed kick five goal six the
other week. But the other kicks a lot of goals.
They kicks a lot of goals. He doesn't miss. Well,
I'm looking at the midfield battle.

Speaker 3 (22:22):
And you guys disagree with me, because I think this
will be a fun and interesting midfield battle because the
midfield battle, sorry, because they're very similar. They're very bullish
they're very inside and all. I think this could be
like a real lockheads butt heads sort of moment.

Speaker 1 (22:37):
It's not fun, though, is fun? That's a note midfielder
in both of those sides.

Speaker 3 (22:42):
That is a good kick, but they aren't theories in
this midfield they're ball but.

Speaker 2 (22:47):
Fun midfield battle has balls, and it has good kicks,
and it has other stunts.

Speaker 3 (22:52):
This is hard men, hard men, let's get.

Speaker 1 (22:59):
Let's get into But anyway, so what midfield battle do
you think comes out on top?

Speaker 3 (23:04):
Because that might be what results in the winner in
this game.

Speaker 1 (23:06):
Can I say neither?

Speaker 3 (23:09):
Someone has to win.

Speaker 1 (23:11):
I'll go Melbourn because of Gorn He'll lead them. Yeah,
I agree with I was going to say gone to
Petraka just class agreed.

Speaker 3 (23:17):
I think Gorne will absolutely monster TDK so and that
leads into Melbourne. I think winning by five goals, by five.

Speaker 1 (23:25):
Goals, yeah, do of mind that. I think D's by
nine points.

Speaker 2 (23:28):
Final score will be Melbourne seven goals eighteen to sixty
to Carlton nine goals straight fifty four.

Speaker 4 (23:35):
That's not nine points, is it? That's not nine points?

Speaker 1 (23:37):
Quick mats over there, But Tim Melbourne tip Melbourne. I'm
going to tip Melbourne as well buy twenty points. I think.
I think it's going to be really low scoring, so
i won't be a blowout for either team. It's just
going to be a bit of a grind and a
melbourn will get out on top thanks to Gorn. I
guess don't mind a blow out though. There we go, yes, and.

Speaker 3 (23:52):
Then we get back into the footy. West Coast VERSUT Richmond.

Speaker 1 (23:55):
Here we go, Saturday eight ten at Opta Stadium, lads,
Is this the best Saturday game we've got this week?
It's going to be close. I think it's going to
be rising stars on the up. There's just a few
exciting players coming through. Is this the best game on
Saturday because the other ones could be blowouts or low scoring. Yes,
I'm most excited. This will be game of the season.
This is the game of the game the season.

Speaker 2 (24:17):
It's still their quality of football though it's not I
think Hawthorne Port will be a better No.

Speaker 3 (24:21):
But they'll be at their level and it will just
be Oh, it'll be great.

Speaker 1 (24:25):
Okay, it's the best game.

Speaker 3 (24:26):
It's the best game on Saturday.

Speaker 1 (24:27):
But I'm going to watch it. He's not watching it.
I'm going to watch them will be at a house
warming and to be on the TV's mind.

Speaker 3 (24:34):
Beautiful.

Speaker 1 (24:35):
Don't worry about it. We'll talk about this after the
show Homeless, Remember yeah, show. Tigers love facing the Eagles.
They've won seven of the last nine meetings and two
of the last three at Optive Stadium, but they've lost
their last thirteen away matches, which is a real worry
for this side. I'm very excited on a particular matchup
two guys that are in great form, Harley Read versus

(24:56):
Tim Taranto. Tintrendo is usually pretty chill, so I don't
know if Harley Reid is gonna have a fifty cuff
with he does with every other opponent. But they're both
averaging twenty four plus disposals, five plus clearances, and six
plus tackles in.

Speaker 3 (25:06):
The last month.

Speaker 1 (25:06):
So, like I said on This Sunday Show, I think
Tim Taranto Richmond aren't going too well. But he's actually
still had a really solid season and a bit under
underrated a little bit still.

Speaker 4 (25:14):
I don't know where you guys to Tranto underrated yet.

Speaker 3 (25:16):
Still a little bit.

Speaker 1 (25:17):
And then Harley Read he said, I'd say three of
his last five games have been really good twenty five
plus disposing a goal and in most of those, so
I'm really excited to see how they go head to head.

Speaker 3 (25:25):
Yeah, And I think that's the difference between West Coast
and Richmond. In Richmond, you have these experienced midfielders leading
the line when torientto and pressed yea, Whereas West Coast
Tim Kelly is getting dropped every second week. Duggans he
was okay last week, very consistent throughout the season. Harlor
Reid's the main dude, and Harley Reads the main dude
in his second year player. Yep, no good call.

Speaker 1 (25:45):
All right. We're going to have a little bit of
a debate here because Leo and I were arguing about
this during the week. Who has the better young crop
or the better rising stars to the kids coming through,
the kids coming through. I'm going to back the Tigers
in this one. The Tigers, they just have much more
Top ten and twenty draft. They've got a great back line.
I think I feel those guys have been getting injured,
which is a bit of a worry. But you've got
train up Brown and Gibkiss, which I think are going

(26:06):
to be stalwarts for years to come. You've got the stars,
the rising stars that can build. You've obviously got Lawler,
which I'm a little bit worried about his Hammies. Hopefully
you can get a new Hammy or something like that.
Taj Hotten, who I'm very excited for, Banks has just
been great this season, as has Seth Campbell with a
lot of goals and plenty of players that have contributed
to wins when they've won. The tackling pressure from the
young guys has led the way. So I think that's

(26:27):
why I'm going to lean towards it. Richmond as young crop.

Speaker 2 (26:29):
Look, I can't argue against the top ten or top
two picks. West Coast have not had nearly enough compared
to Richmond. But what I will say with West Coast
young talent, they're key forwards on the rise.

Speaker 4 (26:41):
They outclass Richmond by a long way. You've got Job
Shanahan who looks so good.

Speaker 2 (26:45):
Jack Williams is a very nice player, Archie Reid who
played a lot at the start of the season.

Speaker 1 (26:49):
He looked alright as well. I would take that.

Speaker 2 (26:52):
Over Thomas Simms, Harry Armstrong and John T Fall any
day of the bloody week, including today. And I will
also talk about that there are no, slo Ouch is
in the midfield or back one either. We obviously have
Harley Reid. He's going to be a star. Elijih Hewitt
is a class he played Jimby, Yes he is.

Speaker 4 (27:08):
I think years don't don't well, crap me now, stats.

Speaker 1 (27:13):
Going yuck, you're you don't ya? He gave you the platform.
That's fair on the media.

Speaker 2 (27:21):
Reuben Jimby, he looks like a good player down back.
Tom McCarthy, we've seen him come in do a job.
Hutchinson's a tough mid and Harry Edwards has been pretty
solid down back to this thing.

Speaker 4 (27:30):
They've got some pieces there, the West Coast Eagles.

Speaker 1 (27:33):
And I don't know. I just want to argue in
favor of them. Do I believe it? I don't know.

Speaker 3 (27:39):
You can't end an argument.

Speaker 1 (27:40):
Do I believe it? I don't know. I doant people
to know that. I also really rate Richmond's young croppers. Okay,
that's okay, So I think who wins that one?

Speaker 3 (27:48):
I like Leo's argument. He was a bit more gusto
to us.

Speaker 1 (27:52):
I don't know. There was there was, There was good.

Speaker 3 (27:56):
And a lot of the players you mentioned. Layla hasn't
played a law Sory hasn't play much footy Small he
hasn't played any footage. Shorten's played one game.

Speaker 1 (28:03):
We haven't seen give kissing like two.

Speaker 3 (28:05):
Some of these guys would be West Coast the best player.

Speaker 1 (28:07):
So just putting Seth Campbell would kick well. I think
the West Coast win two goals. Is that led into
your tip? Yeah? Or that he already said his tip
for tip? I win the okay cool Eagles by five points.
I'm going to say Eagles by two goals. I think
it's going to be a really close one. But because
it Optive Stadium, they beat the Saints there, They've had

(28:27):
some other close games there. They should beat Richmond. If
it was at the MCG I'll be going Richmond. But
Eagles all the way here. Sunday Fun Day is the
next one, as a Leo likes to call it Gelong
versus Saint Kilda Sunday or one ten at Gumba or
g m HbA Stadium.

Speaker 3 (28:41):
Lea, what do we got here?

Speaker 1 (28:42):
Quick?

Speaker 4 (28:42):
Look at the form in this one.

Speaker 2 (28:44):
Saints have won their last three or four against Geelong,
but all of those have been at Marvel. So if
we look at the last couple of ones, Gumba, the
last two Cats have prevailed.

Speaker 1 (28:53):
In those matchups. And then I just want to have
a look at the.

Speaker 2 (28:55):
Scoring differences from each team this season. Saints have only
scored one hundred plus once this season and that was
against Richmond in Round three. Idea, They've only scored ninety
plus another three times. So their scoring power, we've mentioned
it countless times, isn't good enough. Whereas the Cats have
scored one hundred plus eight times this season. So it's
just two different offenses going at it. However, the Cats,

(29:17):
there is a watch on Jess's groin injury, I believe,
but even if he doesn't play, Shannon Neil's been in
great for him.

Speaker 1 (29:25):
You've been loving Shannonil. I don't mind him.

Speaker 4 (29:26):
He goes under the raidar kicked five last week.

Speaker 2 (29:29):
He has been playing really well as that second key
forward and SATs guy. You want to highlight a Saints
player that potentially could be playing on him.

Speaker 1 (29:38):
Yeah, So you've got Callum Milkie, one of the best
fullbacks in the competition.

Speaker 3 (29:41):
He SAIDs plays one hundred and fiftieth game.

Speaker 1 (29:42):
Obviously a great effort, not out of the ordinary, but
this is he hasn't missed a game since debut in
twenty nineteen, and he's the third player ever to play
one hundred and fifty games without missing a game.

Speaker 3 (29:52):
He's just an Ey'm mean, he's so reliable.

Speaker 1 (29:54):
Oh he's so good, Like yeah, reliable just rocking up
every week for the starters, and then reliable just locking
down as a defender.

Speaker 3 (30:00):
I think it's a really hard matchup though, kel Wilkie,
because just how tall Shannon Neil is. Yeah, I think
if he can just outstretch his arms.

Speaker 1 (30:08):
But even though Shannon Neil's bigger, he's not at the
level to use his body that well. He's a clever
different I'm just talking.

Speaker 3 (30:14):
Look, he's long though, Like yeah, if Shannon Neil can
at least get on the lead and if he takes
everything out out front and extends his arms, it might
be a tough matchup.

Speaker 1 (30:24):
It could be interesting one to watch her. Yeah, and
you talked about I just wanted to touch on this,
just off the cuff a bit. The one hundred plus
for the Saints back when they made the final a
few years ago. That was going ninety plus at Marvel
a lot, and that was just a very similar team.
If I was a Saints fan, that would frustrate the
crap out of me, because Ross has gone a bit
more defensive again, and when they've sort of taken off
the shackles and just gone that's just where he's going
to play for it and go for it. And both

(30:45):
teams might be high scoring. I reckon they're a better team,
but I don't know what you guys think.

Speaker 4 (30:49):
Well, you could say that.

Speaker 2 (30:50):
You can also just say they overachieved that year, maybe
the way they were playing.

Speaker 1 (30:54):
But there's a few ways you could look at it.

Speaker 3 (30:55):
The fact that they got that in them though, well,
you never know. They might come out the gates and surprise.

Speaker 1 (31:00):
They do love playing against Glong, just not at GMHBA
tips and Marginal Leo Cats by Gulls eight goals. That's
by forty forty. I'm going to go Cats by thirty five.
I think that they're not too bad defensively the Saints,
so it will be about thirty five points, all right.
Coling verse Freeman on Sunday three point fifteen at the MCG.

(31:20):
This is a very tasty matchup obviously, the Piees coming
off a loss and Freer coming off a big win. Yeah.

Speaker 3 (31:26):
How do calling Wood reply? Following the loss, we haven't
seen it for a while. They've only done it twice
this season. And the two times that they did reply
from a loss, they beat Port Adelaide, they crunched them
by ninety one points after their opening round loss against
giver West and then after the loss against the Cats.
It was actually Freeman on who they did beat out
off the stadium by fourteen points.

Speaker 4 (31:45):
Or Freo have to play him twice off a loss.

Speaker 3 (31:47):
Awful loss, Yeah, but if you do, if you do
remember back to that game, Frio had heaps of inside fifties,
but we're just so poor going inside fifty They should
have won that, whereas Collingwood were very, very efficient. The look,
how do Frio reply following probably their best winning of
the season. You'd say that. I think it was their
best winning of the season, the best performance as well.

(32:11):
Their pressure was off the chart, so later one hundred
and three tackles. But can they do it in back
to back weeks and this is the biggest test against
the premiership contenders, the premiership favorites. Yep, it's going to
be tough because Colinwood have a fantastic record at the MCG.
They've won twelve to the last thirteen at the mcg
So who who do you think replies better in this one,

(32:33):
Collingwood or Freeman.

Speaker 4 (32:35):
Well, you know how free I have to reply on
this one. They need to get someone on Jamie Allott
because last time they played that's he kicked six and
he was everywhere.

Speaker 2 (32:42):
They need to find the right matchup for him. That's
that's the first thing I'm doing. If I'm just along
the wide.

Speaker 1 (32:46):
I think they need You obviously got the wrong and
Bras are a really good tackling pressure. But I think
this is going to get a bit the more structural.
But their structure of just stopping players in the middle
of the ground, like when they're transitioning. So you've got
You've obviously got Luke Ryan, You've got Jordan Clark taking
to set marks and then that next sort of phase up.
They need to play a bit more defensive because that's
what cost him just on the transition, the pass all
over them.

Speaker 3 (33:06):
And another person that can hurt free men in transition
is the one boy.

Speaker 1 (33:12):
We talked about who had one of the best quarters
in football of all time, and that's Josh Jakos.

Speaker 3 (33:17):
We talked about him last week. Does he need to
be in the midfield. We're going to bring it back.
Does he need to be in the midfield? And if
he does, who makes way? We're thinking either you know,
you've got the likes and ned along you're titching there.
Tom Mitchell is one of those boys, possibly the one
that needs to go. Are they too similar?

Speaker 2 (33:33):
I think yeah, only one of titch Old ned Long
has to play, and I think Long offers a little
bit more.

Speaker 1 (33:38):
I think this is just a little bit slow.

Speaker 4 (33:39):
And we some what Josh Dakos can do last week
and you know what it has actually does do for Collingwood.

Speaker 2 (33:44):
It gives him a bit of because obviously they're going
to win the minor premiership. They've got a bit of
time now. I guess look at a few You can
look at Daekos in the middle more and you could
potentially look at bringing in a player in the twos
who's been playing well at half back to take over
Josh Jekos. You could look at other positional changes. You
could look at side bottom at half back. You know what,

(34:05):
try these things out and they've got the luxury to
do it, so I want to see it.

Speaker 1 (34:09):
It was great to watch, so do it again. Yeah,
put it put him back in there, not even just
great to watch. That's what got him back in the game.
If they if they put him in there earlier, who
knows they could have They could have won by four goals.
Like he was.

Speaker 3 (34:18):
He was unbelievable in that last quarter.

Speaker 1 (34:20):
And I like that Tom Mitchell is the possible out
according to us, just because he's kicking and passing. Last
week was doing my head in there if I was
a Pies fan. It was just it looked like if
he was at Marvel already hit the roof a few
times that of his kicks, So I was a bit
worried about that.

Speaker 3 (34:32):
And we talked about Joe and miss going a little
bit mini, well not a little bit missing, but he
has been missing for majority of the season. But he
came back and kicked two goals against the Hawks.

Speaker 1 (34:41):
That's all he needs to do, Like.

Speaker 3 (34:43):
Does he have that in him to do it against
Colin would? Obviously it's going to be a big load
on Tracy. Otherwise, if not with Colin would been one
of the best defensive teams in the competition.

Speaker 2 (34:50):
Yeah, he's going to have to lift I think it's
a much harder task to do it away from home
against the best side.

Speaker 3 (34:58):
But if he does country and they do happen to win,
are we all in on Freemantle if they.

Speaker 1 (35:04):
Win this game? I wouldn't say I'm all in.

Speaker 3 (35:07):
Can they win the Premiership?

Speaker 1 (35:09):
No? If they win this Even if they win this game,
I'd say no because Collingwood have just had so many
ins and outs the last couple of weeks that they're
just cruising to the finals.

Speaker 3 (35:17):
So I'm gonna say no.

Speaker 1 (35:17):
But it gives them a lot more belief than they
would have because they've had They've lost some games they
shouldn't have this season.

Speaker 4 (35:23):
If they win this game, they can make a prelim yep.

Speaker 3 (35:25):
And if they get smashed they might not.

Speaker 1 (35:27):
Make finals earliest. The best result would.

Speaker 3 (35:30):
Be making a final interesting. I think they gets mashed,
so there's definitely a lot more jeopardy on Freemantle in
this one. But I just can't see them getting over
the lining. It's calling with the g which is why
I'm going to go twenty points calling with twenty points later.

Speaker 1 (35:43):
Pies by thirteen. I actually think this would be a
really good game of football. I don't know. I think
the Pies match up really well, like we showed last
time they won at up to Stadium. So now that's
back at the g I'm going to go Pies by
twenty five points.

Speaker 3 (35:56):
Finish it off.

Speaker 1 (35:56):
The last game of the round, the best game of
the round. Game, it is the best game Adelaide. Actually
you forgot about Richmond West Coast Boys. True you love
Richard Adelaide at versus Gold Coast Sunday four forty at
the Adelaide Oval. What an absolute barn burner game of
the round. Both top four offense and defense in the competition,
and an important game for both sites.

Speaker 3 (36:16):
Now that's who would you rather face?

Speaker 1 (36:18):
Just because we've been talking about the finals the last
couple of weeks, what it's going to look like. These
two teams are pretty much locked in for finals and
going for the top four. Who would you rather face
in the finals at their home ground? So would you
rather face Adelaide at the Adelaide Oval or Gold Coast at
People First Stadium?

Speaker 4 (36:31):
I think Gold Coast at People First, I'd.

Speaker 3 (36:34):
Rather play goals.

Speaker 2 (36:35):
Haven't played a final yet, it's the great unknown. At
least with Adelaide you've got a great atmosphere.

Speaker 3 (36:40):
The crowd's a huge factor.

Speaker 2 (36:42):
Like and if they get a double chance, they're going
to be even more up and about the Crome. If
you're playing the Suns at like a way for your
team in an elimination final, Like I'm not saying you're
going to win, but I'm saying you could probably get.

Speaker 3 (36:55):
To them both incredibly hard games. But I'd rather play
gold Coast.

Speaker 1 (36:58):
Well, I'm saying, yeah, I'd rather play the Crows at
Adelaide Oval.

Speaker 3 (37:01):
I know that you're going to probably crucify me.

Speaker 2 (37:02):
For that, all that you haven't won there in years
North in the finals, but genuinely gold Coast just say,
it's a thirty degree day during the day and then.

Speaker 1 (37:11):
It's it's greasy.

Speaker 3 (37:12):
You come into the finals.

Speaker 1 (37:13):
Then you've got Matt Row just picking it up with these,
You've got Noah Anderson picking it up with these. You've
got Ben King who can take marks in those conditions.
I reckon you, genuinely, just because of the conditions and
their record has been the best home record the last
couple of years. You got to go, you'd rather face
Adelaide in my opinion, players pick up ball and take
mark make them no in greasy conditions, it's like you're
playing with deturch on the ball for Rains an Adelaide,

(37:35):
the Rains and Adelaide, then that helps Gold Coast. If
they're playing against each other, that's another one. Yeah they might,
that would be even better. They do on Sunday exactly right.
Gold Coast are coming off their best ever win, but
they hate the Adelaide Oval lads, so they've lost their
last eleventh straight. A lot of teams do I know,
A lot of teams do you don't want to play
in them? There? In finals? It's finals are different. This

(37:57):
is regular season. They've lost their last eleven straight Adelaide
over the Suns and have never beaten Adelaide away, which
is a real tough one.

Speaker 3 (38:04):
You've also got No.

Speaker 1 (38:05):
Two Camilla for the Suns, but they won without him
in the second half anyway, so they were really good there.
But do we think Adelaide has the better depth overall
because you take out two. I don't mind how Fai
Ran he's been playing the last four weeks. I think
he's been a bit underrated in terms of last month.
But overall, does Adelaide have the better depths?

Speaker 3 (38:20):
I think so absolutely they do, and that's showed so
far this season, Like we're going to take a look
at Adelaide recruit. Adelade's recruits yep. And I think although
their stat line doesn't read off or pop off the
page all that much, I think Isaac coming in James
Petling have both been extremely consistent and they're not the guys.
They don't do the things wrong, they're not the guys
in midfield. And yet to talk about Jordan Dawson. But

(38:44):
someone that I do want to touch on in that
Adelaide midfield depth who hasn't been so crash hot in
the past month has been Alex Neilbullan and well I
want to come out of him and I thought he
was going to be the best recruit for Adelaide at
the start of the season, but he's only averaged twelve
disposals and hasn't kicked a goal from his last five games.
And Adelaide have played fantastically well they haven't had to

(39:04):
rely on him, but heading into finals, you know you
need these sort of role players to be in form,
and he's one that I'm looking forward.

Speaker 4 (39:10):
Doesn't necessarily have to kick a goal though, does he No.

Speaker 1 (39:14):
He doesn't, But if you're having if you're having twelve Touchdows.

Speaker 3 (39:16):
You've got to do something.

Speaker 1 (39:17):
Fifteen touches and nobody was averaging close to fifteen in
a goal. I reckon yeah, like's I feel like he's.
At the start of the season he was really good
and then the last month and a bit he's just
dropped off a bit. The big one here that I
want to touch on is the two big forwards. We
love talking about the key forwards this year. Thrill out
versus Banking head to head goals. Who do we think
is going to kick more? Lads? I think, great question,

(39:37):
the Thriller, The Thriller, the.

Speaker 3 (39:40):
Thriller, because Adelaide defensively have been unbelievable.

Speaker 1 (39:43):
I'll agree with you on that one. Just to watch those.

Speaker 2 (39:44):
Sam Collins as a test if he comes back in
maybe he could do a role in Phil Forpe in
saying that they'll Thorpe.

Speaker 1 (39:51):
I think, yeah, he gets a bit better delivery. Contradicted myself.
That's all right. Thriller has kicked five. He kicked five
goals in the last meeting, which is awesome. And then
on the other side you've got Banking. He I think
second still in the Coleman I believe nine goals behind Jeza,
So do we think he can make a charge for
the Coleman lads?

Speaker 3 (40:06):
This is I know it's a big ass nine goals behind.

Speaker 1 (40:08):
But he's got a game in hand against Essendon that's
at least five to ten goals right there. Yeah, it
could be. You never know.

Speaker 3 (40:15):
Jesse is a watch on. If he doesn't for this week,
if he doesn't play and Ben King managed to snag
three or four, never know.

Speaker 1 (40:22):
I reckon, Yeah, I reckon if even it is Jesus
because only got one last week. If he has another
off game and Ben King just kicks their three this week,
you never know, never know. And to finish off, which
team has surprised you the most of this season? So
obviously a lot of people didn't have the Crows and
the Sun's right up there pushing for the top four.

Speaker 3 (40:38):
Or who's had the better season?

Speaker 4 (40:39):
That's that's a tough one.

Speaker 3 (40:40):
It's tough, isn't it a Gold Coast? Gold Coast had
the better season. I'll go just with obviously Dimmer in charge.
But they recruited well in the off They've recruited well
in the off season. But they've never played born As
before and they look destined to play Finals, I let disagree.

Speaker 1 (40:56):
Yeah, Adelaine, I think Adelaide, I think I agree with you.

Speaker 2 (40:58):
I think I get your point one hundred per I
just think Adelaide, in recent years with Knicks, they have
shown these patches of brilliance, but then they always seem
to come undone. They always seem to become a bit
of a rabble at some stage. They've been super consistent
and disciplined, and I've actually been surprised with how exciting
and good they've been to watch this season and the

(41:20):
fact that the top four when I probably have them
bottom six.

Speaker 1 (41:23):
I think that's a bigger surprise. Yeah, I'll agree with
Leo on that one because Adelaide as well. I think
even their defensive the defensive players, I didn't think they
could step up to that next level, and they have
a lot of guys have stepped up, whereas Gold Coast
I thought already had a finals like lists and they
just haven't taken that next step. So yeah, I'm gonna
say Adelaid, interesting, there we go.

Speaker 3 (41:40):
Tips of margin.

Speaker 1 (41:41):
Leo crom By three goals, three goals, Marcus, Yeah, crom
By four goals, four goals. Okay, I'm going to go
crows By five points. I think it's going to be
really close one. They match up really well. It's going
to be good whether I had to look so, it's
going to be a fun, fun battle. Loock of the
week and a big colls where we've done all the
around nineteen pre Let's get into the lock of the
week in big calls.

Speaker 3 (42:02):
Leo, what's your lock this week?

Speaker 1 (42:03):
Because you've been under fire and under pressure the last
a month and one another lot.

Speaker 4 (42:07):
Oh, I'll get back to back here. Jeln beat Saint
Kilda at Gumba.

Speaker 3 (42:11):
Yeah, good call. That was a pretty good lock. And
I'm going to go similarly GB wester lesson on Thursday night. Oh,
I'm going to go very similar to that.

Speaker 1 (42:18):
Aaron Cadman at two plus goals against Essendon he could
have at least five, but look look into I.

Speaker 2 (42:23):
Never thought i'd say this, but I'm going Forrestlon now
lockey blackist and master class on Aaron Cadman.

Speaker 3 (42:31):
Yeah, he's going to lock him down.

Speaker 1 (42:34):
That's what he does, his lock. That's what he does.

Speaker 4 (42:37):
Ladies, that's humor you can get if you hit him up.

Speaker 3 (42:39):
They call me Kendrick Lamar. Oh my god, big call.

Speaker 1 (42:43):
Let's get into the Big Call before Leo doesn't know
what he's talking about.

Speaker 3 (42:46):
Leo, I watch your Big Call for around only.

Speaker 2 (42:48):
Tom Green at thirty five plus disposals, as I mentioned,
his great record against the Bombers, thirty one in his
last five against them, but with no call, well in there,
I feel like there's a bit of a hole in
that sort of toughness of that essenon midfield, and I
just think Green can exploit that, and I think I'll.

Speaker 1 (43:04):
Have a big day out.

Speaker 3 (43:05):
Absolutely no, I'm going to go off the cuff boys here?
Can I Can I create a big cool same game
multi if you want, I'm going to go on the
back of that. Tom Green fifteen plus clearances plus what
fifteen plus clearance? Liam McMahon two plus goals.

Speaker 1 (43:22):
That's going on. David.

Speaker 2 (43:23):
By the way, if mcmarton gets three and Green doesn't
get fifteen, there's no win.

Speaker 1 (43:27):
So you're making it.

Speaker 3 (43:28):
Hard, said, I changed Lee mcmhona too. I had Lee
mcmon so many.

Speaker 1 (43:34):
I think it might have cost yourself. Tom Tom brings
the man, so that means half of his just so
he gets thirty, half of them are going to be clearance.

Speaker 4 (43:40):
I must have really convinced you fine, let's go.

Speaker 1 (43:43):
No, just leave it. Back yourself, back yourself. I backed myself,
good good man, good man, with the help of other
with the help of us. My big call is the
Wizard Nick Watson. Three plus goals and fifteen plus disposals.
Didn't do much the last meeting, but the time before
that in the final three goals, so I think you
can do that again and get that fifteen plus.

Speaker 3 (44:02):
The average is only ten disposals.

Speaker 1 (44:04):
I reckon he's going to cause a rucus against plat
at Eliant and the Hawks win by a lot. The
Wizard is going to be doing bits for a small player,
exactly right. All right, that'll do us for the AFL
