on the couch. They're fired up for around twenty four.
Leo Molalley, Marcus Bars. I don't know how we doing nuds.
Speaker 2 (00:34):
Yeah, I'm felling all right. It's a bit sad though.
Speaker 3 (00:36):
It's the last und I.
Speaker 1 (00:37):
Know, but that means finals is around the court. Two
games my beloved bombers, Yes, yeah, yeah, he's looking forward
to both of those.
Speaker 4 (00:45):
We've got another awesome show as we dove into the matchups, tips, stats, debates,
Locke's big calls, and we're going to get a big
call for around I reckon around twenty four, we'll get
a couple of.
Speaker 3 (00:53):
Bits you never miss.
Speaker 4 (00:54):
Still have to we have to. It's just it's written
in the stars. Make sure you subscribe to our YouTube channel.
On the way to ten k, we're going to hit
that I reckon through before finals.
Speaker 1 (01:03):
We'll look at it.
Speaker 4 (01:04):
They will get the finals buy as well a million,
a million K make gold for ten k for now
and then a million in the future. Make sure you

That's Oussie Rules Today and of course get this wherever
you get your podcasts. So round twenty four previous, let's
get into it Thursday Night Footy Essen and versus Carlton
at the MCG seven thirty.
Speaker 1 (01:24):
Leo, what a blockbuster we have here.
Speaker 3 (01:25):
Absolutely, barm Burn.
Speaker 2 (01:26):
I think the actual entertainment in this game will be
beforehand because we're actually going to it and we'll be
doing some fan interviews. We'll be asking a few burning
questions to you guys, the fans.
Speaker 1 (01:38):
So why does Leo have six homes?
Speaker 2 (01:40):
Why?
Speaker 3 (01:41):
Yep, that's one of them. That's that's going to be
a really great question to answer.
Speaker 2 (01:45):
But the main questions will be around which side it'll
be closer to a flag.
Speaker 3 (01:48):
So if you see us, come say hi. We've got
an AFL Today T shirt to give away.
Speaker 2 (01:52):
I think if you say to us, where's stats Guy,
because Statsky will not be there.
Speaker 1 (01:56):
If you say that to us, we'll give you a
free Today team. That's very exciting.
Speaker 3 (02:00):
So him and I have for that.
Speaker 2 (02:02):
But onto the game, the absolute barm burner that is
this game of football.
Speaker 3 (02:05):
Zach Merrett back for his two fiftieth. It's good to see,
it's good to see.
Speaker 2 (02:10):
But he averages twenty one disposals against the Blues in
his entire career, which is the lowest against any side. Yeah,
and he had fourteen last time they played.
Speaker 1 (02:19):
What did you do that for? What'd you down play
that beautiful man?
Speaker 2 (02:23):
Well, you know why I did it, because when these
two sides played last time, we actually made a point
of this as well, saying that it was Zach Merritt's sort.
Speaker 1 (02:31):
Of his bogey side.
Speaker 4 (02:32):
That his last three I thing has been fourteen, twenty one, eighteen,
which is very below his standards.
Speaker 2 (02:37):
And in that game earlier in the year, he was
playing half forward half back. Get him into the midfield,
and I think they're going to need him in this
one in the midfield because the Blues mids last week
they got rolling Whilsh coming back with Hewart and Crips.
They dominated center clearance, and I think Merritt in that
midfield has to have a big game to sort of
quell that, and you just kind of hope that the
Bombers have done their homework around that going port weren't
(03:01):
competitive in that area last week. Let's make sure that
we are, and let's make sure we give him a
really good game in this one here and then sort
of flipping the switch a little bit looking to the
key forward matching work. We've got Makai on one side
who was excellent last week. Seven goals over twenty disposals,
fifteen scoring involvements.
Speaker 3 (03:22):
Marcus, he's sending Laverti or Blackiston to him.
Speaker 1 (03:25):
I'd be sending Blackiston to him, okay, height and then
Laverti to the other. Although Laverti does have the bigger body,
so you can still Blacks and still learning how to defend.
He got drafted in the mid season draft as a rockman.
He can play down back, but you can see he
gets out bodied our position a couple of times. So
in all honesty, you'd probably what Brad Scott will do.
(03:46):
We'll PUTLAVERTI on him.
Speaker 2 (03:48):
I don't mind the Blackiston on that because he's got
long Lush's hair and big old Harry might get a
little jealous.
Speaker 1 (03:53):
And poor Harry, the matter of hair references we have
on he deserves it million a years. It's another game
without the McCoy brothers playing each other as well. Yes,
they're the same person. They've played together, They're the same person.
Speaker 2 (04:08):
And then on the other end of the ground, Liam McMahon,
we've talked about his great form this season, eleven goals
from five AFL games.
Speaker 3 (04:15):
Would you send Weeder into him if he carton?
Speaker 1 (04:18):
I'm gonna say, yeah, he's their biggest threat. Who else
is kicking goals down there at the moment.
Speaker 3 (04:22):
Honestly, you're not wrong.
Speaker 1 (04:24):
I just think body wise, do they have someone else
in defense? I can body up with Peter right, Yeah,
cops himself a bit lamar Liam mcmart So that's why
I feel like, yeah, that matchup.
Speaker 3 (04:39):
Maybe Haynes could could go to McMahon.
Speaker 1 (04:42):
Yeah, that's not a bad matchup too.
Speaker 2 (04:44):
It'll be interesting to see. And I'm predicting an upset boy. Really,
the Baby Bombers, they're going to bring the pressure they're
going to bring the heat. They're going to watch your
port did last week and do the opposite. They're going
to win by seven points.
Speaker 4 (04:55):
Oh, I don't know about that one. Just the heads
up letter is trying to catch up in the tipping.
Speaker 1 (04:59):
I reckon he's got a.
Speaker 3 (05:01):
You believe, I believe. I can't even catch up. I'm
so far behind.
Speaker 4 (05:05):
Oh there we go Marcus Carleton by twenty points. Unfortunately,
I reckon, I'm going to be similar. Blues by eighty
and they played well last week. The Blues and Harry
mckayka could kick another bag yet, especially on the inexperience
of Blackiston.
Speaker 1 (05:16):
So there we go.
Speaker 4 (05:17):
Friday night footy Collingwood at Verse Melbourne at Friday night,
seven to ten at the MCG.
Speaker 1 (05:23):
There's a huge game, especially for the Pies. Marcus. It
is they have to win in order to have any
chance of finishing in the top four this season. Obviously
we've got to watch on Gold Coast. They've got those
two games and they've got a better percentage as well
for the Pies. But who thought we'd be saying that
two months ago? I know, because the Pires they've they've
sort of blown that top four they they're not sort
(05:43):
of they definitely have. They've lost five of the last six.
But they did show some good sons against the Crows
Adelaide Oval last week. Obviously they dominated majoritally the main
facets of the game that you'd assume the team would
come out on top in, but they just struggled to
hit the scoreboard. But if they do finish in that
fourth spot, let's say they get a win here and
they finished in that four spot, they will likely have
(06:03):
a rematch against Adelaide at Adelaide Oval in the first
qualifying final. And you know what, I actually I actually
fancy the Pies if that's the case. Really, I actually
do that. Gone. They'll have Jeremy Howe back, which is
going to be very important. And considering Collingwood, they won
the last four meetings and in King's Birthday that was
by that single point. It was one of the best
(06:24):
games of the season.
Speaker 2 (06:24):
I was.
Speaker 1 (06:25):
They've actually had some good games over the years. They
definitely haven't talking about Jeremy how He was absolutely unrew
on that match. He had twenty six disposals, fourteen of
those intercepts, so he was huge in that end. He's
likely to return from concussion this week. He's still a
test according to the Collingwood website, So assuming he comes back,
(06:46):
that's just a lot of a lot more structure in
defense Collinwood. I think he's one of the biggest cogs
in that Collingwood defense. So I think you see them
keep Melbourn to a very low score considering Melbourne as
well really struggled the scoreboard against the Hawks if it
was poor and they just they blew a lot of
opportunities that we mentioned in the in the rap show
(07:07):
as well. But it's also going to be a big
game in the midfield and deacos it's a Brownlow watch.
He's in a three horse race with Dawson and Anderson
according to the odds. There could be some others will
still be up there out there. But does he need
(07:28):
to have a big game to secure Brownlow because the
Brandley predictor does have Dawson leading by a vote currently.
I think he does.
Speaker 2 (07:36):
I think if you asked me six weeks ago, I
would have said he's he's a lock, he's home. But
they have only won one of their last six. I
don't know if he's polling that many votes and he's
just left the door. Ajar the Dawson and Anderson, and
I think a big game here would would.
Speaker 3 (07:54):
Seal it for me. But if he gets maybe a
one or a two voter here.
Speaker 1 (08:00):
A little bit, we're gonna see a shared Brown low
this year. I think I was I've literally said that
last three This year is like the closest Brown race.
It's gonna be a ti I'm gonna have three players
tight on forty seven votes. Maybe I don't think Anderson
can win it now the last like eight weeks, Row
(08:20):
has been in awesome form. They're gonna probably interchange three
votes even to had a couple of good games since
his return, so I'm not sure.
Speaker 4 (08:27):
I think Dawson is the Crows. Yeah, best players, a
bit above some of the other players. Where's Raw and Anderson.
They're gonna take votes of each other. So I'm going
Dawson or Des.
Speaker 3 (08:36):
Dawson, decos Nukem tied Brown.
Speaker 1 (08:40):
Yeah, if you're getting about Loman Law, we're getting Harry
actually grew on the up. We'll go. We'll going to
Melbourne because in the NFL they've actually been very strong.
So it's tom reward that form. Recently last week they
down ladder leading box Hill Hawks. LEO, that's so sad.
(09:01):
So it's time. Look, do you bring the form players
into that side? Considering they do. They're into finals now
the VFL, so they've got the boyer Melbourne in that
in that week of finals. Like you look at players
who've played well Jack Billings forty in a goal, but
you feel like that's just repeating the same cycle. Yeah,
Bolstrop had twenty five, eight tackles, seven clearances, but one
that I want to keep a cheeky one on, probably
(09:23):
more so for next year. AFL listed was Riley Bonner.
He's been he's been good for me this year. Forty
disposals and a goal in that game against the box
Hill Hawks. Do you give him an AFL listed contract
next season.
Speaker 3 (09:36):
No, I'm good, but I'll pass them.
Speaker 1 (09:39):
I'll pass. I'll respectfully passed, but I think I'm disrespectfully
to me nor to probably pick him up.
Speaker 2 (09:44):
No, one as get a reward form. He's been on
an AFL list. We've seen him at the level. He
just hasn't been able to cut it. Yeah, I wouldn't
mind seeing Tho strip getting it get in the game.
I would love to see maybe Bailey Laurie is another
one at the level. Is he going to be a
future player. I think, as you said things is a
backward step.
Speaker 1 (10:02):
And recycled a little bit, but a good call.
Speaker 2 (10:04):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (10:04):
In saying that it's with Collingwood, that's the game of
emotion for them. They've got to all to play for.
So they're going to win by five goals, five goals.
Leo agreed five five. I'm going to say four goals
I think will be pretty are going to be pretty close. Mactual,
I'm going to say three goals. I think it will
be pretty close.
Speaker 4 (10:18):
The Pies have been very unconvincing demons, having had too
many two bad games last month or so, so I
reckon I can keep it reasonably close. There's another game
on Friday night, Port Adelaide versus Gold Coast eight ten
at the Adelaide Oval. Lads, the emotions are high. Travis
Bolkes retiring Ken's last game. Leo loves a bit of Ken.
(10:39):
The emotion is you know what that means. Lads to
Port getting wins. They love an emotional win.
Speaker 2 (10:44):
That's what they do. They'll be crying in their pregame speech.
That's how you know they're locked in for a win.
Speaker 1 (10:49):
They might, Yeah, there might be some crying.
Speaker 4 (10:50):
So in terms of our Travis Spoke and Ken Hinkley
together as a duo, they've won one hundred and seventy
three games from two hundred and ninety six, so that's
that's a pretty good effort under sixty percent win ratio.
There we go, and they've got six finals wins together
and two of Port Adelaide's all time greats obviously one
of their all time great coaches, all time most games
as well for Travis Boke.
Speaker 1 (11:11):
There Travis Bokes also, I think he's top five or
six in most disposals of all time in history.
Speaker 4 (11:17):
Yes he is, actually, yeah, he's an absolute beast. Just
what do we think will happen in this one? Do
we see a boat goal? An elite goal from the boundary?
He's got a few on the run few and the
wet few at the Adelaide Oval right near the hill.
Speaker 1 (11:27):
Can we see another awesome goal? Will we see a
plane celebration from Ken? Will he cry? He doesn't mind
to cry, he might get a bit emotional. What do
we think I think he cries. He's departing his minions
and he's going to cry there he departing his minions.
He does because he looks like he does, look like Groo.
We've had seventy groups lately. Look in all seriousness. They've
been fantastic YEP player and coach for Port Adelaide for
(11:51):
a long time now. Obviously they didn't get the premiership
success they wanted to, but fantastic home and awayside Boath's.
Speaker 2 (11:58):
An absolute legend of the game. And we will see
a Travis Boke goal. It's just at home. Yeah, under
the Friday night lights. He will be having a shot
at goal and he will be kicking it in the
first goal.
Speaker 1 (12:09):
Playing metal fal forward. No, that's just a good Bok.
He's going to play him half forward.
Speaker 3 (12:14):
I reckon he plays wing, but he just doesn't defend.
Speaker 1 (12:19):
That's very dangerous against the Suns. I don't care. They're
not gonna make fun, have a bit of fun out
the party though. The counts they can Suns on the Suns.
Surely they can't slip up from here. They need one
win from their last two games and lads, this is
not good reading for the Suns. They won the last meeting,
but they have never won at the Adelaide Oval. Zero
(12:40):
and twelve. They're all time and.
Speaker 4 (12:42):
I'm a little bit worried, so worried that that's not
good reading for the Suns.
Speaker 2 (12:46):
A little bit. I'm very worried.
Speaker 3 (12:47):
Really, I'm very worried, and I'll get into that in
my tip.
Speaker 4 (12:49):
Okay, their first ever win, just some reading as well.
The first ever win against Port Adelaide. Was it Amy Stadium?
Speaker 1 (12:56):
So sorry?
Speaker 4 (12:57):
Their first ever win in history? Sorry, that's what I
meant to say. Was it a stadium in Adelaide? The
foot park that everyone used to call it? So? Is
this a symbolic win for them? If they get a
win here? They make their first ever finals appearance. Their
first ever win was against Plainta A. Can it just
all line up nicely symbolistic? Yeah, you said, yeah, But
they should have some confidence in this one. They are
the fourth best offense and they're up against the fifteenth
(13:19):
ranked defense and offense in the league in terms of
Port Adelaide. And I think Ben King can have a
huge one. You've obviously got Harry McKay last week tore
him a new one. He kicked seven goals, Jesso with
six Goalsos with three, Gunstan with three. That's all in
the last couple of months in terms of guys dominating
down forward. Do you think he can have a big
game lads? And how many does he have to kick
in the last couple of rounds to lock in all Australian.
Speaker 1 (13:40):
I think he can definitely feast here and have a
big game. Obviously you saw Ali Releas struggled massively with
Harry McKay, but that is an interesting matchup though, which
one I'm looking forward to. So look, he's chasing the
Coleman behind Jess Yeah a board, Yeah, just the JESU
Awards at the top and then but they're still a
lot to play for, so he's going to be an
AA contention. So I think he can have a big
(14:04):
end of the season. Yep, yeah, I agree.
Speaker 3 (14:06):
I think I think I'll have a big game here.
I think against the Bombers too.
Speaker 1 (14:11):
He could get to he's on sixteen and al he
can get a seventy.
Speaker 2 (14:13):
Yeah.
Speaker 4 (14:13):
I think pretty much lock him in for Australian the
more we talk about because he could have two really
big games.
Speaker 1 (14:18):
If he doesn't for some reason, then maybe not.
Speaker 4 (14:21):
But if one of those games he kicks a bag,
I think he's locked in yeah, absolutely, tips and margin.
I'll go with Leo first because he just loves a
bit of ken. He loves the emotion as well.
Speaker 2 (14:30):
They got that powder, the power to cry and win
on emotion.
Speaker 1 (14:35):
Port Adelaide by thirteen.
Speaker 2 (14:37):
There's no better team than firing up for a big
game and getting it over the line in emotional circumstances.
Speaker 3 (14:44):
This is an absolute lock. It's not my life.
Speaker 1 (14:47):
It is not a lock. Lock. That means the Sun's
are shaking toeen point lock thirteen points, Yeah, that's the
lowest ever. I'll go with the Suns by the opposite margin.
I think Port keeper kla the opposite so to you
thirteen thirteen. I'm going to go Suns by twenty points.
They should get the job donelds. They are a much
(15:07):
better side.
Speaker 4 (15:08):
I think the first half that Port could be leading
and then the class of gold Coaster just takes over.
Speaker 1 (15:12):
Lea. It's just American over there.
Speaker 2 (15:14):
There we go.
Speaker 1 (15:14):
That is that's not a lock. This would be very interesting. No,
all right, Next game North Melbourne versus Adelaide at Saturday
or one twenty at Marvel Stadium. Oh my god, I'm
worried for this one. As a North fan, leer.
Speaker 3 (15:25):
Well, we're got to start on Isaac Rankin.
Speaker 2 (15:27):
So there has been no word on his Zach's suspension,
which is fantastic work by the AFA. Spend him Ordy,
come on, he's an idiot. He said to miss the
entire season and fair enough.
Speaker 3 (15:39):
Now could this.
Speaker 2 (15:40):
Start calms down for I think there's a few nervous
scar Adelaide fans in the comp saying Rankin might have
cost them Granny, what do we think down fall?
Speaker 4 (15:47):
I think they have enough depth without him to steal okay,
still win a final.
Speaker 1 (15:51):
I'm about a Grand Final though. I still think he
plays an important part and I think this could do
a lot of harm to the Crows. We saw alreadyain
seeagules when they tried to do something different in that
first half. They didn't play Ranking in the middle yep,
and they getting torn a little bit. And then as
soon as they put Ranking in the middle for the
second half, the game absolutely changed and I was going
to see eagles. But it just shows how much impact
(16:11):
he actually has on that side, whether it's in the
middle or down forward. It won't affect him this week though, yes.
Speaker 2 (16:16):
So on the other hand, this week, how ruthless do
We think Adelaide can be here because just look at
each side on paper, and I just think every line
Adelaide gets the.
Speaker 3 (16:27):
Chocolates of a North. So how ruthless.
Speaker 1 (16:29):
Will Adelaide be I was gonna say, you go film, Well,
I think they can be ruthless, but they just don't
need to win big. They just need to win, get
the win on the board, just finish first and then
look forward to the qualifiing formal. I think they'll want
a bit of confidence.
Speaker 4 (16:43):
If they win this by one hundred, they'll be like, yeah,
we're the best team of them. We can smash the
lower team because that lot I say lost when they
almost lost to West Coast, that would meaning in their
heads gone, oh we should have won by a lot more.
If they get only a close win against North, that
might derail their confidence a bit.
Speaker 1 (16:59):
So I think they got a big for a bit
of confidence.
Speaker 2 (17:01):
Yeah, he's still got Warrel and Keen as an excellent
defensive duo. The midfield I think still runs deep. You
got guys like Sligo and Burying there and the three
headed monster up forward. I just don't know anyone from
North can If you plug one hole, you know the
other two might pop up. So I still think there's
enough there for the Crows dominating this one. But we
switch it over to North and chat a bit about
(17:22):
North because they are off a win, great performance last
week or beat against Richmond. Yes performance, this is a
beer has gone from the bottom of the ladder to
the top of the ladder. You got the crime, you
got the ladder leaders. Can they just end their season
on a positive note?
Speaker 3 (17:35):
North?
Speaker 2 (17:36):
Can they? Can they spoil Adelaide's chances for top spot
for the minor premiers?
Speaker 1 (17:41):
No, sorry, man, I don't think there's any chance that's happening.
We got dominated by Tom Winch at certain parts last week.
Speaker 4 (17:47):
I know we wanted to kick. He can't kick, so
that's handy, but these guys can. So I think we
actually gave Richmond a fair few chances last week. The
score that's scored indn't suggests. So if you give those
like half chances to Adelaide, they take them, so they
could smoke us well.
Speaker 1 (18:00):
Based off recent North Melbourne history to end the season,
it doesn't seem long dropped on.
Speaker 2 (18:05):
Yeah, so last year two one hundred point losses to
end the season. So they got the win last week
and hopefully they can just be competitive in this one
and sure a bit of suting something to the North
fans saying that Crows by six goals, that's it. Yeah.
Speaker 3 (18:18):
I just wasn't totally sold on their performance against West Coast.
Speaker 1 (18:22):
Crows bought twenty five points.
Speaker 3 (18:23):
Twenty five really just out West Coast games in the
back of my.
Speaker 4 (18:26):
Mind, Okay, I think it's going to be at least
fifty points. I think North played their grand final last week.
Speaker 1 (18:30):
She's got the record disposed just to pretend the season
ended there for North and Crows will get a big
win and charge interfinals. Very happy.
Speaker 3 (18:36):
I'm very excited for Clarko to play. She's all half
back this week as well.
Speaker 1 (18:40):
No, don't get it started. Don't gave me started.
Speaker 4 (18:43):
Next game Richmond versus Geelong Saturday, four point fifteen at
the mcg We were on Jess.
Speaker 1 (18:48):
I watched last week, like zero goals the times for Gelong.
Speaker 4 (18:51):
Then they've got to big with big win without him,
But can you do it again this week?
Speaker 1 (18:55):
Still he's stuck on seventy nine, Like, how many does
he have to kick against Richmond this week to any
chance of reaching it In the final series. I think
ten I think he can kick in this game like
Nors with Aron Richmond up, what can Geelong do we
do they look for him? Do they look for him
(19:15):
a bit more? I don't know.
Speaker 2 (19:17):
I reckon if they're if the game is done at
half time, which it will be, I reckon they.
Speaker 1 (19:20):
Will just arrowed to Jezzer on the on the whiteboard.
Speaker 2 (19:24):
If he gets ten, So that leaves probably eleven from
three or four games.
Speaker 3 (19:29):
Probably three games.
Speaker 1 (19:30):
Well, actually that's still tough. In final, it's very tough.
But he's stick twelve then he's a great player and
they Richmond will be without one of the competition's best
intercept defenders in Looston, who is runked third in the
competition for intercepts. Obviously, he broke his legs, so his
season has come too and end, and it looks like
another season coming to an end is Candon Macintosh. This
(19:52):
will be his final game for the Tigers because he's
been told that he's not going to be offered a contract.
What are you doing?
Speaker 3 (19:59):
You had bands?
Speaker 1 (20:00):
Bring the headbands out of the j wave the headbands.
You should wear some head that'd be cool. I know,
will we wear a special farewell headband? I don't think
anyone in I cost you the game against Saint Kilda.
Speaker 2 (20:13):
Oh premiership player, I've actually been not bad.
Speaker 1 (20:19):
He's had a good career. He's been a good wingman
for the for the Tigers and obviously he did miss
that one premiership in that dynasty, but he's still got
the two. So that's fair reading better than one and
another one who's another person who's sort of coming to
an end of their career. But Geelong this way is
Mitch Duncan. Now, boys, what do you sort of do
with him? Do you give him a farewell game? Or
(20:41):
do you play him as a sub throughout finals? Or
do you do you let him just say goodbye? I
reckon want his terms.
Speaker 2 (20:47):
What I would do is I'd play him as a
sub this week in a farewell game.
Speaker 3 (20:52):
But if he doesn't, no, right job. I don't see
why he shouldn't play.
Speaker 4 (20:56):
You've convinced me that I was going to say they
don't really need him at all, and because they're in
the very little but it's in like that's an option
they could play him as the sub. And if because
he's not the fastest player on around, I don't know
if he's going to be an impact sub.
Speaker 3 (21:07):
But just say he gets a few goals assists or
do you think Bruce would be an impact sub and.
Speaker 1 (21:12):
Bruce is a goalkicker.
Speaker 4 (21:13):
I don't mind goal kickers and subs, whereas Mitch Duncan
is not kicking any goals other.
Speaker 1 (21:16):
Than in the visibly got slower as well. Mitch Duncan.
Speaker 4 (21:19):
Yeah, I don't think they need him for the finals personally,
but farewell game.
Speaker 1 (21:24):
No, just I don't think he needs a tough him.
Speaker 3 (21:28):
Absolutely for Geelong Premiership play stuff.
Speaker 2 (21:31):
Him, head bands out for camping.
Speaker 1 (21:34):
You always pick your best team. You know what you're
even for. You're even for Japan in a couple of days.
You shouldn't even have been on this show. You shouldn't
have a farewell show. Oh I'll be back for finals, mate,
don't I've always turned off for the finals. Don't you know.
Speaker 3 (21:50):
You're not for the first week?
Speaker 1 (21:51):
Yeah, I'll be there. I'll be there. Well, Richmond in
the first half, This isn't pretty reading. They don't have
a great record in the first half when they do
play at the MCG. They've lost twenty of the last
twenty one first half at the Home of Football in
the first half in the previous meeting this was down
in gm HbA was seventy five to sixteen in favor
of Geelong, so yeah, not great. The reading does say
(22:14):
that it's going to sway towards that way again on
the weekend and a win would secure the home qualifying
final four Geelong and I've got them in my ladder. PARTICTA,
which we get it onto a little bit later is Brisbane,
So okay at the G then they could face play
all of their games at the MCG if during the
final series, that is for Geelong. If results go that way,
(22:36):
that'll be very good. All right, tips and margin, Marcus,
where are you going now?
Speaker 4 (22:39):
Cats by ten goals? Ten goals and you don't mind
break the time, I'm going to go seventy points. I
think in between it would be a big win for
the Cats at the G Lads, do you know what
the asex means?
Speaker 3 (22:53):
Mate?
Speaker 1 (22:53):
Of course?
Speaker 3 (22:54):
And in fact, I'll let Marcus explain.
Speaker 1 (22:57):
Thing under the BUSTLEYO. To be honest, I have no
clue what a surprise. It's actually the Australian Securities Exchange.
Speaker 2 (23:03):
Ah well, I'll speak for Marcus on that one and
say I'm pretty clueless with that stuff.
Speaker 1 (23:07):
Well, lucky for you.
Speaker 4 (23:08):
Stockhead is a free website which gives you punting stock
advice through the asex. Where can we check him out?
Check him out vice stockhead dot com dot you. Next
one not West Coast VERSUT Sydney Saturday night, seven thirty
five at Opta Stadium.
Speaker 1 (23:21):
That is first one.
Speaker 4 (23:23):
I want to touch on future all Australian rock because
I think it'll be the Australian ruck this year. Brody
Grundy will be most likely back into the side, which
is a huge in for this onans. I think he
can dominate Flinney and the Eagles, who are bottom three
in all ruckstats, so he can have a big performance here.
And even if he doesn't play Ladams in the ruck,
we talked him out last week. He genuinely played his
(23:44):
career best game last week, so I've got a little
bit more confidence, especially against some of the worst rucks
in the competition. Now that I mentioned Grundy, all Australian
people are talking about Peney. We talked about him a
couple of weeks ago. Heeny and Grundy all Australian locks, locks, Yes, lots.
Speaker 3 (24:01):
I think he is.
Speaker 2 (24:05):
I think Grundy is in my team. Grundy is in
my team. But if we're saying a lot to the
general population, people are throwing up, Gorne are thrown up, Jerry.
I would not be surprised if Gundy isn't picked in
the team.
Speaker 3 (24:17):
Really he's in my.
Speaker 4 (24:19):
Team, but okay, I would be very I think Grundy
is the first picked, Gorne, second, Cherry third. Now because
of the suspension, he playing Threvery Rackman, I'm playing two o. Sorry,
like in the order they would be picked.
Speaker 1 (24:29):
I'm going to play Grundy and Gorne.
Speaker 3 (24:31):
I think Gundy.
Speaker 4 (24:33):
There we go and stay tuned for our socials. We're
going to do a combined All Australian team on ANFL today.
It'll be next week next week, so stay tuned for that.
One will be very interesting. Talking about Swan's Chad Warner,
he loves playing in his home state over in w
a five and one record in Perth and he averages
twenty three disposals, one point two goals and five.
Speaker 1 (24:50):
Clearances over there, which is very handy. He should have
he should have traded there, should have moved there. If
he's playing that.
Speaker 4 (24:55):
Good of a foot of the yeah, give it two
years mate, Yeah, maybe he's still he still might.
Speaker 1 (24:59):
In terms of the Eagle, there's been some rumors Liam
Ryan rumored to a move to the Saints. What would
you do if you were him? And this is a
good move for the Saints. I think it's a big,
big call what would do because he's still a good player, Because.
Speaker 3 (25:11):
You're probably not going to win anything at either club, but.
Speaker 4 (25:15):
The Saints could make finals in a couple of years,
but West Coast will still be bottom four.
Speaker 2 (25:21):
Yeah. I feel like the Saints could sell him his
role and how he's going to impact the team a
lot better than what West Coast can. And I think
there's a lot of value with him at the Saints.
Great players, Saints could genuinely build something with him. Yeah,
that would be all sure, that's what they need. So
if I'm him, I would be excited by that opportunity
potentially moved to Mighty Saints.
Speaker 1 (25:42):
Yeah, very very nice.
Speaker 4 (25:43):
In terms of the Eagles, Jimmy and McCarthy, I feel
like they've been playing with a lot more confidence the
last couple of weeks. Good signs for the future there
and Bailey Williams I think he actually matched That was
when Brodie Grundy was a bit out of form last year,
but he actually matched Grundy in the Rock last season.
I think they both had both had seventeen plus touches,
both at twenty five plus hit out.
Speaker 1 (26:00):
So we'll see if he can go all right there.
He's got all points as well, because he didn't get
that mark of the week norm over the top of
Marcus bonsor Peli last week. That's true, so he's better
than the bond he heard italing.
Speaker 4 (26:11):
Technically wow, but bad reading for the Eagles. This one's
on the last four meetings by an average of eighty
eight points, and it was only a few meetings ago
where they kicked two hundred and five include that one
that helps the average, But two hundred and five points
in a game? Are we going to see that again?
We're not negative? Will we see a very one hundred
(26:31):
and eighty I've really won one hundred and eighty seven?
Can say it on this?
Speaker 1 (26:36):
I love that? Yeah, great, that'd be very good.
Speaker 2 (26:38):
Tips please ninety five point winners, Sydney will be I said.
Speaker 1 (26:42):
That, Okay, Yoda, sounds like four ta points forty of
the Swans. You think it's gonna be decinentally clar West
Coast at home. It's it's never an easy game. I'm
going to say sixty five.
Speaker 4 (26:53):
They're only won one game all year, but anyway, I'm
going to go Swans by sixty five points.
Speaker 1 (26:57):
They're still in strong form. They can get a big win. Day.
Fun day.
Speaker 4 (27:00):
This one is with Leo gws vers Saint Kilda. Yeah,
what twelve twenty at Enji Stadium. Here we go, Lew
Nas signing. Where else should we start?
Speaker 2 (27:10):
It is great for football and it is great for
his management who get a great deal out of it,
and Nas who is now probably the richest man in Moravin.
Speaker 1 (27:20):
Not a hard beat probably.
Speaker 2 (27:22):
Do we think that will fire the Saints up or
potentially could have played at their detriment? Will they be
in party mode? Will they be ross twenty eight already?
Speaker 1 (27:31):
What do we think twenty eight? Knock knock that the
supporter will be there? Yeah, the supporter I forgot. I
don't know what name she's been on. TikTok. There we go.
Speaker 3 (27:40):
Yeah, so what do we think?
Speaker 1 (27:43):
Let's I'm just going around.
Speaker 4 (27:45):
I don't think they can lift too much of this
game that they've been playing some average footy in terms
of life. They've won, yeah, but against some poor teams
only just okay.
Speaker 1 (27:54):
What do you think? I think they're very right off
the back of the crowd, sort of club Saint Kilda
and down an energiy state. They probably won't be won't
be two packed.
Speaker 2 (28:03):
Yes, well, stats guy you mentioned their form in recent weeks.
They have won the last four, but it has been
against poor opposition and a combined total of twenty one points.
So they now step up to an informed Tsunami side
who were great last week. They have Daniels and Buckley
facing tests this week.
Speaker 1 (28:22):
He's just to confirm that's the Orange team, isn't it.
Speaker 3 (28:24):
That's the Orange team?
Speaker 1 (28:25):
Thank you.
Speaker 2 (28:25):
Kelly Hogan ruled out for this one though, so we
thought he was going to be back.
Speaker 1 (28:29):
He's ruled out.
Speaker 2 (28:30):
He's a TBC on the injury list. But with how
they moved the ball last week, that's Tsunami really firing.
Speaker 3 (28:37):
I don't think it matters who they have down there.
Speaker 2 (28:38):
When the ball's that easy going inside fifty, you've got
grow gets another mentioned green, you got mate rounds and
popping up for four.
Speaker 3 (28:47):
I don't think it matters who you got down there.
Speaker 2 (28:49):
So the Saints just really have to stop that tsunami
ball movement. They have to be really tight with their
tackles and strong with their pressure, and I think I
just don't think they can do it.
Speaker 1 (28:59):
They go very defensive again, the old sort of ross
line tactics.
Speaker 3 (29:03):
Why can I should just go all that?
Speaker 1 (29:04):
I agree, because that'd be a fun game talking about
tackling pressure. Do you put win Tago.
Speaker 2 (29:08):
Over to Tom Green Callahan win Hager.
Speaker 1 (29:12):
Yeah, that'd be a fun match.
Speaker 2 (29:13):
That would be a very fun shout. But we'll just
stand these quickly on the Giants. So where do we
sort of see them finishing here? I have them fifth
or six because spoiler alert, I.
Speaker 3 (29:24):
Think they win this. What about you boys?
Speaker 1 (29:26):
Yeah, similar, I've got them in six.
Speaker 4 (29:27):
I believe I've got to be in six as well.
I think they'll they'll win and make the finals and
they'll be okay with six. They're one of those teams
that Marcus has been talking up. They can they can
push for US finals in but they won't make the Grand.
Speaker 1 (29:37):
The best team AFILs ever seen. Fifth or six cures
him a home elium as well, which is important.
Speaker 2 (29:42):
And the best team the AFL has ever seen will
beat the Saints by fifteen points.
Speaker 1 (29:46):
I think he's going to say the other way around.
There six goals to the Giants. I agree, I think
it'd be about six goals as well at MG Stadium.
I'm sorry, it's the best team we've ever seen Giants.
Speaker 3 (29:56):
Yes, yeah, come on.
Speaker 1 (29:57):
I'm not you're starting to learn. I'm not jumping on
both this one myself. What you're doing over there? All right?
This is the game of around. This decides the finals.
This decides who is ninth, who is eight, who is seventh?
Is going to be very exciting.
Speaker 4 (30:10):
Western Bulldogs at Verse three man or Sunday three point
fifteen at Marvel Stadium, Marcus, there's a huge one.
Speaker 1 (30:17):
You just as dull die. The loser is locally going
to miss out on finals and the winner plays each
other in an alium and hold on ruling this with
the fixturing with Golco session. We don't have to watch that.
But check out our final predicted ladder because a lot
of the finals does rely on this game. We've all
done our own predictions, so check them out on the
(30:37):
Socials AFL today. Are you so get on that? But
the big question is, because I'm over this, Leos had
his opinion on this, but I want to hear this
from you first, lamb Okay, which team deserves finals footy more?
Speaker 4 (30:50):
That's annoying. It's an annoying question. Just if you win,
you deserve to make it. That's what I think.
Speaker 1 (30:55):
If whoever wins this deserves to make it, they're both
in the same position. They need to win to make finals.
A split is out of your bum I'll go three.
Speaker 4 (31:03):
They've been in better form and they're going to be
more fun to watch in the finals.
Speaker 2 (31:06):
You're going for deserve them?
Speaker 1 (31:07):
Yeah? Why not? I think I'm not as big an
advocate for that as either.
Speaker 2 (31:11):
But I just think they deserve it more because the dogs,
at the end of the day, have beaten up on
the bad sides.
Speaker 1 (31:17):
Okay, and the best thing the AFOL has ever seen.
They've beat them twice.
Speaker 3 (31:20):
Well that's they've been one top eight team twice. They
haven't beaten another.
Speaker 2 (31:24):
Top eight side. They have the worst record against top
eight sides last So.
Speaker 3 (31:27):
Check finals football.
Speaker 2 (31:29):
You kind of want to be able to stack up
against the sides around and they just haven't this year.
Speaker 1 (31:32):
Twenty sixteen Dogs, Maybe please know well, Leo, the dogs
are clear favorites, and when they're clear favorites, they normally
go on and win. They've won eighty six point seven
percent of games as favorite real season. That is a number,
but in a credit to the Dockers, there's a saving
grace here. They've actually won fifty percent of their games
as underdogs. So in the form at Marvel Stadium. Now,
(31:56):
let's have a look at the form, because sure the Dogs,
they've had a good record, which we all know about
so far this season. They're ten and two at Marvel.
Whereas if you turn the frio on the other side
of the stick, they really played one game at Marvel
Stadium this season, which is actually kind of crazy to
think about, but it was against the Saints where they
only managed to kick thirty three points and they got
flogged by ten goals. That is when yeah, Leo is
(32:18):
very keen on the Saints this year, still am for
next sea for next year. That is one of the
biggest outlier games of the year. That's crazy. But if
you're Bevo, he's got some selection headaches to think about here.
And as Adam Tralaw, because he was great in his
return to the VFL last week. He had forty disposals,
one goal, ten tackles and nine clearances. Do you bring
(32:41):
him in for this game?
Speaker 2 (32:42):
Well, you know, I was against it at first, didn't
want to risk him after one game back. But I
think a sub would be a really good option for
him because he bring him in as the sub and
then he gets a bit of game time going, and
then you can use him in finals a little bit
more because as you mentioned, no VFL this week. Ye,
so how's he going to get that sort of game
(33:02):
not in that management. So I think the sub is
a great.
Speaker 1 (33:05):
Great role, Liam, Do you think you bring him in?
Speaker 3 (33:08):
Yeah?
Speaker 4 (33:08):
I don't mind the sub. He has a bit of
pace out of the midfield. I know he's a bit older,
but he can get the clearances. Especially they've got so
much midfield depths already, but do you take any of
those players out you put for a law in.
Speaker 1 (33:18):
It's the sub perfect, But you don't want to risk
him coming back into the thousands and first half of
the season.
Speaker 3 (33:23):
He's probably going to do it anyway.
Speaker 4 (33:24):
I'd rather get him like into the game in the
last game of the season, just to get the legs
ticking over again, rather than not play and then his
first game is back in finals and it's a bit
more of a risk.
Speaker 2 (33:33):
Ut I I think if they were playing VFL this week,
I think it would be different.
Speaker 1 (33:37):
Yeah, oh yeah, that's right. Yeah, because yeah VFL have
that break yep. But matches between these two sides, they're
always high scoring, which is what we want to see
on the weekend as well. With this sort of game
on the line, with the stakes, we just want to
see an absolute shootout. And if that's the that's the case,
I fancy the Dogs to outscore the Dockers. We've seen
so far this season. The Dogs are the number one
(33:57):
scoring team in the competition. Yep, we're frio. They aren't
in that top three mark for that statistic. But no
AFL or VFL side has missed out on finals with
fifteen wins. It's crazy. The Docors do lose, like I
spoiler alert might think they will. Yes, they would be
(34:17):
the first team to do so. That is.
Speaker 3 (34:20):
I mean there's pressure on Long or Bevo if the
Dogs lose.
Speaker 1 (34:23):
I think, yeah, whoever loses this game sacked sacked?
Speaker 2 (34:27):
Really?
Speaker 1 (34:27):
Yeah, might not. I'll get into a stat later. They're
always just.
Speaker 3 (34:30):
On the edge.
Speaker 1 (34:31):
But is it worse if the Dogs miss or worse
if the docors miss, which is more repercussion.
Speaker 4 (34:35):
I think it's worse if the docors miss because they
finished ninth last year. You finished ninth again, that proves
that you should have made the finals.
Speaker 3 (34:42):
You can't.
Speaker 1 (34:42):
You can't finish ninth to.
Speaker 2 (34:44):
That is a great question because on the one hand,
like as you said, Freo finished ninth, they're coming through.
They choked it last year and the last day exactly
what they need to make amends for that. But the Dogs,
on the other hand, there they've got a better team
and talent. You've got one of the best loads, probably
the best in the competition. Yeah, their list is phenomenal.
They have the best one of the best spines, they've
(35:04):
got the best player. They've got like three of the
top ten best players. Like, how are they fighting for
that eighth spot and feel like they.
Speaker 3 (35:12):
Do it every year?
Speaker 1 (35:13):
Yeah? Every year? Exactly, right, Leo, I thought you were
about to throw him. That was actually very good.
Speaker 4 (35:19):
Six of the last seven seasons the Dogs have been
sweating on the last Sunday of their regular season. So
six of the last seven seasons they needed a win
to make finals. Just a win to make finals, which
is exactly what's happening here, and then in twenty twenty
one that to have a win to make top four
and lost that one as well.
Speaker 1 (35:34):
So every year the Dogs get to Sunday or gone,
Oh it's bloody Sunday round twenty three, twenty four, it's
d Day for the Dog every single year. Why can't
they get Why can we get one more winter in
the year. All the Dogs fans are saying one more
winter in the year, and we would have locked in
the finals in six the last seven years. So they'll
be filthy with it and who wins? Boys, because it's
going to be Is it going to be close? We
wanted to be close. Absolutely, last kick of the game, purely,
(35:57):
last pick of the game. I'm going freo. Oh, I'm
going fre I just.
Speaker 2 (36:02):
Reckon like we saw it happened last year and I
reckon so wrong and Brashaw are just going to go
we are not letting this happen again.
Speaker 3 (36:09):
Boys. I'm carrying, We're carrying the team on our back.
We're going to have a million possessions of million clearances
and I just trust Frio's back line a little bit more.
I'm going freo. Eight points, eight points I'm.
Speaker 1 (36:22):
In dancing in a very good form known that Freemantle's.
It's a very tough game to pick and all I
think it goes. It's like a ten point swing either way.
I'm gonna go the Doggies, though, Doggies, I'm going to
go the Dockers by one point. Patrick fos kicks that
go after that, Sarah, and they'll be strutting around everywhere.
Speaker 4 (36:38):
They've actually had some good away wins this season, the Doctors,
and I think this is the time that because I'd
be like, oh crap, our coach could get sacked if
we just finished nothing.
Speaker 1 (36:44):
Any We've got to get a win.
Speaker 4 (36:45):
And as Leo mentioned, I think their midfield is one
of the few midfields I can stack up against the Docks.
Speaker 2 (36:50):
So it's very attacking Dog's midfield against the defensive.
Speaker 1 (36:54):
Yes, and like Thursday night, we will also be at
that game outside the ground doing some social stuff. Really
I don't know that. Yeah, yeah, that sounds pretty good.
There we go. Last game.
Speaker 4 (37:06):
What a game this is to finish off the regular
season for these sides. Brisbane verse Hawthorne at the Gabba
seven twenty on Sunday night. Lads, What a game this
is both fighting for top four and the lines. I
think they've got less to lose in this one. They've
got the best away record in the league, so if
they don't finish top four, they'll still back themselves to
get a few wins in the finals. But this is
a big game for the Hawks. I think it needs
(37:26):
to be a bit of a confidence booster for the Hawks.
They can obviously chance to finish top four, so slim chance,
slim start because Collowan could lose.
Speaker 3 (37:34):
Go with Gold Coast win their last two games, they
just take top four.
Speaker 4 (37:37):
Yeah, true, true, So I have to see what happens.
There some good stats for Hawks fans. This one's for you, Leo.
They've won five of the last six meetings. You love
playing the Lions. The underdog has also won the last
five meetings between these sides. So the Hawks of the
underdog up in Brisbane here, but they lost. That one
loss was thirty three points earlier this year on another
bounce back game, where you know that Brisbane love a
(37:57):
good bounce back game after a loss at the MCG
earlier in the year. In terms of Brisbane, they do
have a few key injuries. You've got no Jared Berry.
I think that yeah, deepens their problem with depth because
jar Berry is a really good depth player. No hipwud
not that fuss structurally structurally important, but in terms of
his form he's been pretty average. And then obviously no
locking Neil. He'll be back for the finals though, which
(38:17):
would will be very.
Speaker 3 (38:18):
Happy to fill out.
Speaker 2 (38:19):
Now, Burry out helps the Hawks, it helps the midfield
for Hawthorne hasn't been that great.
Speaker 1 (38:24):
They've still got plenty of players in there, the Lawns.
Speaker 3 (38:26):
Who do we think could stand up.
Speaker 1 (38:28):
Like Levey Ashcroft, I think because he's been really good.
I think Zach Bailey has been in great form. I
think you give him even more minutes in that midfield.
I've Alway's been floating through there and it's like whether
you do you want to put like put some pressure
on with some bigger sized bodies in that Hawthorne againstworn midfield.
Reading my mind, yeah that's what I do.
Speaker 3 (38:47):
That's what I do now.
Speaker 2 (38:48):
I think cam Ray know Zach Bailier too, but Brisbane
they still would want to win, so I don't know
if they'd be going, oh, let's just chuck like Sam
Marshall in the midfield, like out of nowhere because they
still need top four.
Speaker 4 (39:00):
You know, I think they will use their big name
still And are they beatable in this game? For the
Hawks because they're six and four at home this year,
which isn't horrible, but they usually never lose at the
Gabatoire for like in terms of past matchups, Leader, as
a Hawks fun, you're more confident this year than other
years because they've been beatable at home?
Speaker 3 (39:15):
I think so, and I think they're bigger.
Speaker 2 (39:17):
The biggest win at the Gabba has been like twenty
eight points against Port, So they've had like a three
goal win against West Coast, Yeah, not convinient goal win
against the Bombers, Yeah, like.
Speaker 3 (39:25):
Not convincing at all.
Speaker 1 (39:26):
So I think since the Hawks have traveled up to
the Gaba those.
Speaker 4 (39:29):
Yeah, what like six years twenty nineteen was the last
time they played at the Gabba. Line's coming off a
really good win and then another fun matchup that you
wanted to touch on, Leader, that could impact the game.
Speaker 2 (39:40):
Yes, there is, thank you. I thought you're going to
say more after that. That's right, Blake Hardwick and Charlie Cameron.
I think this is a really important matchup hard week
for not just the last couple of weeks.
Speaker 3 (39:49):
But when he's played down back the last few years.
Speaker 2 (39:51):
Has been fantastic on the way forwards, Yes, underrated, I
think obviously Charlie Cameron hasn't had the year he's wanted
to have.
Speaker 3 (39:59):
He's been poor.
Speaker 2 (40:00):
Why he's standard, But it flicked back to that match
earlier in the season at the g Cameron kicked three.
Speaker 3 (40:05):
Goals in a minute.
Speaker 2 (40:06):
It's true, flip the game on its hand in that
second quarter and they've got the lines, the buffer that
they were able to just be like, nah, we're just
going to hold onto this one. So it's a really
important matchup still for the Hawks to get right and it's.
Speaker 3 (40:17):
One that I'm going to watch with great interest.
Speaker 1 (40:19):
Well, if play Carderwick does sort of lock down, Charlie
Cameron is not having the best game, is not touching
the footy. And we've talked about Brisbane's midfield injuries. Could
he be one just to get his teams on the
foot he get himself back in the game to flow
flow in there every five minutes or so. I don't
mind that.
Speaker 2 (40:35):
I love it when teams sort of play that small
forward in one center bounce and then they try and
push him forward to get that mismatch and then you
have the mid coming out. I think that's a great
way to go about at Hawthorne have done it a
bit with Watson, No Melbourne to do it with Cozy,
so teams do it and obviously Colin would do it
with McCreary and Hill when they play.
Speaker 3 (40:53):
So I think it's a great move for Brisbane to
look at.
Speaker 1 (40:56):
Yeah, be very good.
Speaker 4 (40:57):
As some big questions to finish off in this one. First,
what do we need to see from Brisbane for some
belief that they can go back to back.
Speaker 1 (41:03):
I've got a person.
Speaker 3 (41:04):
Already got the belief.
Speaker 1 (41:05):
Yeah, they've got.
Speaker 3 (41:07):
Do we need do we need to say anything? Is
that what you're saying?
Speaker 1 (41:09):
I just think they need to win, Okay, it doesn't
matter about the margin. They just need to win. They'll
get some stars back for the final series, including Drewell, Brownlow,
Middleist looking Neil, so I think they'll be right.
Speaker 4 (41:21):
I would like to see like a twenty to twenty
five point winner, maybe even early, just because they likely
more than that, no more at the very least, that's
what I mean, just because like you said, they haven't
been ruthless all season. They've been ruthless at home. They
were ruthless at the g against the Hawks, but just
at home and then going into finals, they have a
home finals, so it would just be interesting to see.
Speaker 2 (41:39):
See I understand, but I just think I'm probably landing
more with Marcus that they just need to win. What
I would like to see is efficiency, Like there was
the game against the Dogs, for instance, where they kick
three goals seven, they dominate the third quarter, then they
almost lose that game. Like even if they win by
a point, as long as they make the most of
the chances and they show that they're a well oiled machine, that's.
Speaker 3 (42:00):
All I would like to see.
Speaker 4 (42:02):
Fair col last question, if Hawthorne win, are they a
genuine flag chance. I'm not sure I'm on that train
just yet, But what do you guys think?
Speaker 2 (42:10):
I think I think if Hawks win, I think as
a fan, I don't think we are right now.
Speaker 3 (42:15):
But if we were believing, I would be believing, believing.
Speaker 1 (42:19):
We know Leo, he'd be all up and about, oh yeah,
he's the most positive man gone around. But yeah, I
think they're probably still just that one sort of key
midfielder away and you come up against some of the
bigger sides in the competition who have some good tags
as well. If they can tag new come out of
the game, then I just think they're probably just yeah,
(42:41):
one player not.
Speaker 4 (42:42):
Fair cool, all right, tips and margin. I'm going to
go the lines by a couple of goals. I think
this would be a really fun close game. Like I said,
I want them to win, buy a few more, but
I think it'll be close. Busy by seventeen okay.
Speaker 1 (42:53):
Yeah, I'll just meet you guys in the middle or
go like fourteen points whatever, all around the same, so
this would be a close one. There we go.
Speaker 4 (43:00):
That's all the actually all of the games covered for
around twenty four except for the Suns versus the Bombers,
which will cover in the Match Trap show that will
go out Monday morning or Monday, which would be very good.
Well I won't be there, but they still will be
there with Walley who's been on the show before, and
that would be lots of fun. Let's get into the
lock of the week and the big calls Leo, what's
your lock of the week.
Speaker 3 (43:19):
Some one's win locking in and I'll enjoy the off season.
Speaker 1 (43:22):
Nice Adelaide and Geelong to grab wins to secure the
top two spots.
Speaker 3 (43:27):
Oh that makes my lock, my Northern Richmond.
Speaker 1 (43:29):
Yeah, that makes my lock. Now team it's good, but
Crows Crows win.
Speaker 4 (43:32):
They will easily beat North Melbourne at Marvel Stadium. Big call.
Now we've got to finish strong on the big calls. Lads,
come on, Leo.
Speaker 3 (43:40):
Alright, I'm going a little bit clerky with this one.
Two of the following three teams win.
Speaker 2 (43:46):
Geez, here we go Bombers win against the Blues, win
against the Suns, or three to zero win against the Dogs.
Speaker 3 (43:54):
I get two of those. I got my big call.
Speaker 1 (43:56):
So you've got three underdogs in there. You need two
to win, and under dogs usually I've he's getting a
let off easy there, but I don't mind that.
Speaker 3 (44:03):
If we combine, the odds are pretty hefty.
Speaker 1 (44:05):
Yeah, I like that. I've gone. I know we spoke
about he doesn't have a great record against this opposition,
but I'm expecting my boy beloved Zach Merritt to have
a big game. And he's two hundred and fiftieth rise
to the occasion, first game back from injury, on the
thirty disposals, six plus tackles and one plus goal.
Speaker 3 (44:23):
In Obama's win. That would be ideal.
Speaker 1 (44:28):
That was no confident Zach merrit two hundred and fifty
game wines and just start down yeah shaking, yeah, exactly right.
My big call lads before these two get us canceled.
Speaker 4 (44:42):
Daniel Curtain twenty plus disposals and two plus goals.
Speaker 1 (44:44):
He's coming up against North. I think those type of
players against North at a bit crafty forwards can have
a big game.
Speaker 4 (44:49):
And I reckon they might test him out their midfield
against North as well. So midfield, why not just push
him up into the midfield. So I think he can
have a big game. And that is my big call.
