O general de Exército Augusto Heleno presta depoimento nesta terça-feira à Comissão Parlamentar Mista de Inquérito (CPMI) do 8 de Janeiro, onde é questionado sobre a sua atuação à frente do Gabinete de Segurança Institucional do governo do ex-presidente Jair Bolsonaro nos meses que antecederam a invasão golpista aos prédios dos Três Poderes, em Brasília. O militar foi aplaudido de pé por parlamentares da tropa de choque bolsonarista ao chegar ao plenário.
O Comitê de Política Monetária (Copom) do Banco Central afirmou, na Ata da reunião realizada na última semana e revelada hoje, que é “pouco provável” uma intensificação do ritmo de cortes da taxa Selic, considerando o atual passo de queda de meio ponto porcentual. Além disso, reforçou a necessidade de manter a política monetária ainda contracionista, até que a inflação chegue na meta e nas expectativas. Na semana passada, o Copom reduziu a Selic pela segunda vez consecutiva, de 13,25% para 12,75% ao ano.
