Throughout Series 4 Episode 1 of ‘Art Layers with Hornsby Art Society’, hosted by Hornsby artist Hadijah Munting, will bring listeners, the Koel our local and migratory bird that travels to Australia to breed from Eastern Indonesia and or Papua New Guinea each year. They are known to live somewhere between 12 – 15 years and in Indian folklore the Koel is known to be a lucky bird.
The first episode will include Hadijah’s informal interview with the Secretary of the Hornsby Art Society and accomplished visual artist, Leonie Fisher, giving us an update on the forthcoming exhibitions and events.
Hadijah will also probe the world of Leonie Fischer her inspirations, and how inherently resourceful, resilient and ambitious artists are in general and their love of art.
