Cameron Jones, is the Music & Creative Director for the Oz Manouche Festival for gypsy jazz on 25 - 28 September at Brisbane Jazz Club MC'd by Patron Ian Date with leading Australian and international gypsy jazz artist performing such as Hank Marvin Gypsy Jazz, Ian Date, Noria & The Parisians (with Noria Letts (Fr), Cameron Jones, Adam Russo, Jon Hunt, Dominic Rado & Tom Flenady), Charlie McCarthy, Sam Cooke, Adam Russo & Tom Flenady, The Tripple Fiddle Fiesta, Hot Club of Hobart, Tazzmania Jam with Charlie McCarthy, and Sydney Gypsies. There will be usual gypsy jazz jams, workshops and collaborations with veterans and emerging gypsy jazz musicians.
Cameron Jones, is a gypsy jazz guitarist from Castle Hill, NSW besides performing and recording with his own Cameron Jones Trio, is also a member of Gadjo Guitars, Spyglass Gypsies and Carolyn Packers Stompin’ Rhythm Aces and has recorded a number of albums with these groups that we will play tunes from on the radio show.
