The late Renee Geyer, 1953 -2023, was a legendary Australian soul, jazz & R&B singer. She released 15 studio, 5 Live, 4 compilation albums (24 albums) as well as 39 singles with many charting. She was Inducted in the ARIA Hall of Fame in 2005, and received both a 2018 Life Time Achievement Award & 2023 Honour Roll at the Australian Women In Music Awards and in 2013 Inducted in the Music Victoria Wards Hall Of Fame. Sadly Renee died in hospital 17 January 2023 aged 69.

Kevin Birich has been a long-time friend, touring and recording on the Renee Geyer Live album and also Renee did the ‘Blues License’ album with the Kevin Borich Express. Renee also did backing vocals on a number of Kevin’s recordings. Kevin was a part of her public memorial in St Kilda April 2023.

The album “Renee Geyer Live Eureka Hotel 1979 & Tivoli Sydney 1982” was recorded by sound engineers the late Gerry Georgettis, and Geoff Wheadon. The album sales are fund raising for the Australian Road Crew Association (ARCA), a not-for-profit organisation dedicated to helping ROAD CREW during hard times and serious illness through their welfare program. Many artists have generously given their permission for the release of the sound engineers’ desk tapes of their live performances that make up a diverse collection of some truly unique historical releases.
