The Australian Road Crew Association (ARCA), co-founded by Ian ‘Piggy’ Peel and Adrian ‘Sunshine’ Anderson, their Desk Tape Series are historical live recordings re-mastered and released with permission of the artists as fund raising for the ARCA welfare program to help support road crew members facing serious health issues and other concerns later in their life. Road Crew are the backbone of the Australian live music staging and includes sound engineers, lighting technicians, stage managers, instrument technicians, stage crew and loading and lugging logistics personnel that enable artist to stage their shows and tour around the country. They are gig workers without sick leave, holiday pay, superannuation, long service leave and other normal benefits.
