Jimmy & The Boys were an Australian new wave rock band active from 1976 to 1982 with hit singles and albums, numerous national television appearances and toured the country. Their theatrical high energy performances riddled with satire and humour were popular with audiences. Jimmy & The Boys were formed by vocalist, the late Ignatius Jones (Juan Ignacio Trapaga) and keyboard player the late Joylene Thornbird Hairmouth (William O’Riordan), Scott Johnston, Tom Falkinham, Jason Morphett and Andrew de Teliga. They released 8 albums (2 studio, 2 live and 4 compilations) an EP and 5 singles with 4 charting.

Michael Vidale joined the band in 1980 until they disbanded in 1982. Michael Vidale has had an amazing musical career as a bassist, vocals, composer, recording engineer and producer and having performed, toured, and/or recorded with a great selection of performers and groups including The Bushwackers, Don Walker, Jeff Lang, Slim Dusty’s Traveling Band, The Whitlams, The Flying Emus, Matt Arthur, Wheelers & Dealers, Albert Lee, Stepps, St John’s Ambience, Anne Kirkpatrick, Chris Turner’s Cavemen and many others.

The album ‘Jimmy & The Boys Live at the Astra Hotel 1982’ was recorded by sound engineers Grahame ‘Yogi’ Harrison. The album sales are fund raising for the Australian Road Crew Association (ARCA), a not-for-profit organisation dedicated to helping ROAD CREW during hard times and serious illness through their welfare program. Many artists have generously given their permission for the release of the sound engineers desk tapes of their live performances that make up a diverse collection of some truly unique historical releases.

CrimeLess: Hillbilly Heist

CrimeLess: Hillbilly Heist

It’s 1996 in rural North Carolina, and an oddball crew makes history when they pull off America’s third largest cash heist. But it’s all downhill from there. Join host Johnny Knoxville as he unspools a wild and woolly tale about a group of regular ‘ol folks who risked it all for a chance at a better life. CrimeLess: Hillbilly Heist answers the question: what would you do with 17.3 million dollars? The answer includes diamond rings, mansions, velvet Elvis paintings, plus a run for the border, murder-for-hire-plots, and FBI busts.
