James Southwell, singer, songwriter guitarist, has been performing with the legendary Bondi Cigars recently while Shane Pacey has been recovering from surgery. He has been impressing the Bondi Cigars fans with his stunning performances at festivals and touring with the band.

James Southwell, has been performing on the Australian blues and rock venue & festival scene for a number of years. He has performed over 2,000 shows at many leading festivals and venues including Australian Blues Festival, Blues on Broadbeach, Thredbo Blues Festival, Girrakool Blues Festival The Entrance, Sydney Blues & Roots Festival, Wangaratta Jazz & Blues Festival, Airlie Beach Festival, Angus Water Blues & Rock Festival, Redlands-Bayside Blues & Rockabilly Festival and many more. He has performed solo, with his James Southwell Band and with Angry Anderson (Rose Tattoo), Stevie Wright, Phil Manning (Chain), Harry Brus and Chris Wilson, Charley Wooton (from New Orleans) as well played with Kevin Borich, Lachy Doley and Australian Idol winner Kate DeAraugo and other leading musicians and performers.

James Southwell’s last album ‘Where The Wind Blows’ was recorded at Dockland Studios Louisiana USA and received national radio airplay and went to #1 in the Australian Blues & Roots Charts. He has released 5 albums.
