Ross Wilson over a 50 year career from Daddy Cool to Mondo Rock and as a solo artist with no less than 26 ARIA Top 40 hits to his credit as a singer, songwriter and producer, Ross Wilson is one of Australia’s most awarded, respected and well-known artists! From the legendary band Daddy Cool whose number one anthem Eagle Rock (still in the 2026 TripleJ Hot 100 Australian Songs #45) and debut album “Daddy Who?” smashed all previous sales records in Australia an astounding 50 years ago in 1971, to the 1977 formation of Mondo Rock, delivering 80’s hits ‘Cool World’, ‘State of The Heart’, ‘Chemistry’, ‘No Time’, and ‘Come Said The Boy’ and into the 21st century as a solo performer, Wilson has never been out of the limelight.
Ross Wilson as a producer recorded the legendary Skyhooks (first hit 3 albums and classic hit singles), Jo Jo Zep & The Falcons, The Johnnys, & The Screaming Jets.
Ross Wilson with his groups and solo has released 26 albums (16 studio, 2 Live and 17 Compilation albums), 9 Eps and 53 singles with so many having charting success.
Ross Wilson and with his bands has been twice inducted into the ARIA Hall of Fame 2006 & 2089, Music Victoria Awards Hall of Fame 1971, Go-Set Pop Poll Best group for Daddy Cool, 1971 TV Weeks King of Pop Awards, 1981 TV Week Countdown Awards Best Australian Album for Mondo Rock’s ‘Chemistry’, and Ross Wilson was inducted into the 2009 Australian Songwriters Hall of Fame.
