The Dugites were an Australian pop rock band, formed in Perth in the late 1970s and went on to record three studio albums, EP ‘No Money’, two compilation albums and 10 singles with 5 charting. They toured with Dave Warner From The Suburbs. Their first album “The Dugites’ went Gold and had 3 charting singles, and they had two nominations in the 1980’s TV Week/Countdown Music Awards. Their two follow-up albums ‘West Of The World’ and ‘Cut The Talking’ and the singles had charting success. They opened for Elton John national concert tour, toured with Hall & Oates and had several national TV appearances including Hey Hey It’s Saturday & Countdown.

Paul Noonan, played bass and vocals, was with the Dugites from 1980 to 1984, and he was previously with Dave Warner’s From The Suburbs for the gold album ‘Mug’s Game’ and they reformed for concerts in 2023 & 2024 and will also appear in Brisbane in November 2025 at the 4ZZZ 50th anniversary Joint Effort. Now he is a well-sought-after lawyer with Keypoint Law specializing in intellectual property, technology and entertainment.

The album ‘The Dugites Live at Billboard 1981’ was recorded by sound engineer the late Wayne ‘Swampy’ Jarvis. The album sales are fund raising for the Australian Road Crew Association (ARCA), a not-for-profit organisation dedicated to helping ROAD CREW during hard times and serious illness through their welfare program. Many artists have generously given their permission for the release of the sound engineers’ desk tapes of their live performances that make up a diverse collection of some truly unique historical releases.
