Le Phénix - Théâtre National de Valenciennes a un partenariat avec le Théâtre National de Taïwan. Dans ce cadre, une version franco-taiwanaise de la pièce "Love and Money" de Dennis Kelly a été jouée à guichet fermé en 2020. Aujourd'hui, nous invitons le metteur en scène du spectacle, Damien Chardonnet-Darmaillacq, à revenir sur cette expérience.
Damien Chardonnet-Darmaillacq est un metteur en scène, comédien et dramaturge, actif en France et en Belgique depuis plus d'une décennie. Avant "Love and Money", il a mis en scène "Andromaque" de Racine et enseigné l'esthétique et l'histoire du théâtre au Cours Florent à Bruxelles.
Nous évoquons avec lui la magie des rencontres théâtrales, la gastronomie taiwanaise, les rues sinueuses de Taipei, et ce que travailler avec Taiwan a "confronté" en lui.
