Tune in here to this Thursday edition of Breaking With Brett Jensen!
Breaking Brett Jensen kicks off the show by talking about Charlotte City Councilwoman Tiawana Brown being indicted for a scheme to steal $124,000 in COVID relief funds. Councilwoman Brown claims that this is a plan to frame her for theft and fraud because of her gender, race, and political views. Councilwoman Brown has been indicted alongside her two daughters for conspiracy to commit wire fraud and wire fraud. Councilwoman Brown has had previous run-ins with the law, as she spent time in prison in the 90s for a felony conviction.
Later, Brett plays the press conference where Councilwoman Brown addresses the indictment. He also shares an interview that Brown did with WBT in December of 2023, a month after her election.
