Tune in here to this Thursday edition of Breaking With Brett Jensen!
Breaking Brett Jensen kicks off the show by talking about Charlotte Mayor Vi Lyles announcing that she will run for reelection and why he wasn't sure a month ago that she would run again. Brett was thinking that the mayor wouldn't run again following the scandal surrounding Police Chief Johnny Jennings' payouts and her general demeanor over the last few months. Nonetheless, earlier today her office announced that she would seek her fifth term in the upcoming election.
Later, Brett covers two democrats who have filed to run against recently indicted Charlotte City Councilwoman Tiawana Brown. With a court date hanging over her head that could result in years in federal prison, what will Councilwoman Brown do? She said she will still file for reelection.
