Denis Van Weynbergh est le premier Belge à avoir terminé le Vendée Globe, cette course mythique autour du monde, à la voile, en solitaire et sans escale. Après 117 jours de course (quasiment quatre mois), le Bruxellois d'origine est de retour sur la terre ferme.
Dans ce Brief spécial, Denis Van Weynbergh raconte toute son aventure, des six années de préparation jusqu'à son retour aux Sables-d'Olonne le 8 mars, en passant par toutes les galères vécues pendant son tour du globe. "Oui, j'ai pensé à abandonner, plusieurs fois", confie-t-il dans cet épisode.
Denis Van Weynbergh est aussi un entrepreneur accompli, il a revendu son entreprise spécialisée dans le transport pour participer à la course. Pour lui, "faire le Vendée Globe, c'est un peu comme monter une entreprise". En effet, il faut savoir faire preuve de résilience, affronter les épreuves et garder foi en son projet.
