Florida Governor Ron DeSantis declared, “The Swamp has won,” after Congress sidelined Elon Musk’s Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE). Despite Musk’s push to slash federal spending, Trump’s “Big Beautiful Bill” increased the national debt, effectively canceling DOGE’s proposed cuts. DeSantis blasted the GOP for abandoning reform and betraying voters. Still, critics argue that entrenched interests in Washington have outmaneuvered Musk’s cost-cutting crusade — raising the question: did the Swamp really win, or is the fight just beginning?
