Welcome back to the Building Better Humans Project podcast. Glenes
are your host here and we're diving into part two
of our mental health series. So let me ask you something.
You train your body right, you lift, you move your stretch,
you push through resistance, or at least I hope you do,
But why aren't you training your mind with the same intensity.
Mental fitness is just like physical fitness. You use it

(00:32):
or you lose it. Most people let their minds get lazy,
They coast, they react, They let thoughts run wild, emotions
take the wheel and overwhelm, pile up until they snap.
But there's another way, and it starts with training your
brain with purpose. So here, I'm going to give you
three ways to build mental strength starting today. Number one,

(00:53):
move your body to clear your mind. Exercise isn't just
for your muscles. It literally rewires your brain. Movement boosts opamans,
serotonin and endorphins, your natural mood elevator. Even twenty to
thirty minutes of walking, running, or resistance training can shift
your entire mental state. Movement is medicine. Number two, reframe yourself. Talk.

(01:16):
Your inner voice is the loudest one you hear. If
it's negative, harsh, or full of doubt. Your mental health suffers.
Start catching yourself whenever you use as unhelpful thoughts and
flip them replace I can't handle this with on learning
how to handle this. That small shift build resilience over time.
And number three, take mental breaks like you take physical ones.

(01:40):
Your brain isn't built for NonStop hustle. Schedule breaks, unplugged, breeze,
step away, Even five minutes of intentional pause can reset
your stress response. Mental fitness isn't about having zero struggles.
It's about building the tools to manage them. And just
like physical training, consistency beats intensity see here's a focus.

(02:04):
Train your ain not for perfection, for power, because the
stronger your mind, the wider your world becomes.
