As we move into 2026, The Building Better Humans Project is refocusing—by going back to where it all began.

In this episode, Glenn Azar shares an honest update on the future direction of the podcast and why now is the right time to return to the show’s roots: unapologetic, no-BS personal and professional development across all the areas of life where people feel stuck, challenged, or overwhelmed.

Glenn also addresses the decision to step away from Mayhem Monday as a regular segment. While it was enjoyed by many, consistency, integrity, and capacity matter—and this episode explains why doing fewer things better is essential for long-term growth, both personally and professionally.

With over 11 years of podcasting and 1,500+ episodes, this show remains a free, consistent anchor in a crowded personal development space—focused on mindset, discipline, responsibility, leadership, and real-world application.

Mayhem sessions may still appear from time to time as bonus episodes, but the core mission is clear:
Three episodes a week. Real conversations. Practical tools. No hype.

If you’re looking to reset, refocus, and get back to the work that actually matters—this episode sets the tone for what’s ahead.

Speaker 2 (00:10):
Hey, team Glenes are here. Welcome back to the Building
Better Humans Project podcast. If you're new here, welcome, and
if you've been listening for a while, this episode is
especially for you because today isn't about teaching a framework,
or breaking down a mindset tool, or telling a story
from the jungle, the ring or the mountains. Today is
about clarity, direction, and integrity because as we move toward

(00:31):
twenty twenty six, I want to be very clear about
where this podcast is going and why this podcast started
for one simple reason, to help people get unstart, not
just in one area of life, but across all the
years that actually matter your mindset, your relationships, your health,
your discipline, your confidence, your identity, your leadership, your sense
of purpose. Because life doesn't break us in neat little categories.

(00:55):
When you're struggling at work, it leaks into your relationships.
When your health drops, your confidence follows. When your mindset
is off, everything feels harder, and somewhere along the line,
without realizing it, we drifted a little, not in values,
not in intention, but in focus. So for twenty twenty six,
on bringing the podcast back to its roots, unapologetic, nobs, practical, personal,

(01:18):
and professional development delivered straight to your ears, three episodes
a week, free, consistent. Now I want todss something openly
and honestly. Millie and I had spoken about committing to
Mayhem Monday Sessions, and I know a lot of you
genuinely enjoyed them. We've had messages, comments, encouragement, and we
appreciate that more than you know. But the truth matters here.

(01:39):
We weren't able to do it consistently. And that's not
because we don't care. It's because life is full. We're
building businesses, we're working in youth development, we're managing athletes,
we're supporting others, and like everyone, we're also doing our
own personal work behind the scenes. And what I refuse
to do is add something into the mix that becomes
another stressor another layer of pressure, another reason to feel

(02:02):
like we're falling short. Because in consistency of roads, trusts,
and the one thing I pride myself on, the one
thing I will not compromise on, is consistency. No matter
what's going on in my life, I get up, I
dress up, I show up, no matter what. That's not motivation,
that's discipline, and discipline is built by doing fewer things better.

(02:26):
So we've made the decision that Mayhem Monday will not
continue as a regular feature on the Building by a
Humane Project podcast, And that wasn't an easy decision, but
it was the right one. Here's what the podcast is
and will continue to be. This is your anchor in
a personal development space that is loud, crowded, and often expensive.
This show is your place to come back to center.

(02:48):
There is incredible information out there. There are amazing coaches, mentors, courses, masterminds.
But you can also spend a small fortune chasing growth
without ever slowing down long enough to apply it. This
podcast is a starting point, a reset button, a reminder,
a place where we talk about taking responsibility, building discipline,

(03:08):
navigating hardship, strengthening identity, leading yourself before leading others, becoming
emotionally stronger not just tougher, designing a life instead of
drifting through one. And we'll talk about it through real stories,
real experiences, real conversations. There's no hype, there's no pretense,
there's no borrowed motivation, just work that matters. As we

(03:30):
enter twenty twenty six, this podcast moves into its eleventh year.
Let that sink in for a moment. Over fifteen hundred episodes.
There's not talent there. It's not about luck. It's consistency.
It's showing up when, not just when it's convenient, not
just when it's comfortable, not just when it would be

(03:51):
when it's easy. It's showing up when it's inconvenient, when
it's uncomfortable, when it be easier not to. And that's
the same standard I want this show to reflect, because
that's the standard I believe changes lives. Not perfection, not
intensity for a week, consistency over time. Now, this doesn't
mean that Mayhem Mondays will disappear forever. Of course, they're

(04:12):
not going to be Mayhem Monday. You'll still hear a
Mayhem session pop up from time to time, unplanned, organic
as a bonus. But when it does, it'll come from
a place of capacity, not pressure. And that matters because
growth should challenge you, but it shouldn't crush you. So
if you're listening to this and you're stuck, overwhelmed, drifting,
or maybe you just need a steady voice in your

(04:33):
ear a few times a week, then you're in the
right place. This show exists to help build a stronger mind,
a steady of life, and a future you can actually respect.
So personally, I want to say thank you to every
single person who has supported this podcast. Whether you've been
he for ten episodes or a thousand, your time matters,
your growth matters, and I don't take either lightly. Welcome

(04:55):
to the next chapter of the Building Better Humane Project.
Back to the roots, back to the work, back to
actually building better humans.
