Hey, team Ganesa here, welcome back to the Building Better
Humans Project podcast. Before we kick off today's episode, I'd
just like to encourage you to get on over and
rate the show, be it on iTunes or Spotify, wherever
you can rate the show. Hit us with five stars
if you love what we're about. Also, feel free to
comment or ask questions if there's something that you specifically
like me to cover, do you know what? Equally, if
(00:31):
you don't like the show, rather than giving it a
low rating, shoot me a message. Because one thing I
hate is wasting our most important commodity, and our most
important commodity is time. So I don't want to waste
your time someone listening to the show, and I don't
want to waste my time putting out content there that's
not landing, it's not hitting the mark. And I've had
a real focus over the last few months. You may
have noticed that we're just going deep on personal development stuff,
(00:53):
things that come up all the time in this space
with clients and stuff. So if there's something specifically that
you think could add value that you would like to
hear about, I bet someone else wants to hear it too,
So feel free to reach out, let me know, but yeah,
rate the show. That'll be fantastic. Today we're getting real
about something a lot of people feel but don't always
say out loud, and that is I hate my job.
(01:13):
Maybe it's the culture, maybe it's the leadership. Maybe it's
just not what you're passionate about anymore, if it ever was,
Whatever the reason, waking up every day with a pit
in your stomach, dragging yourself through the hours dreading mondays,
that's not a life. That's survival and you weren't built
just to survive. You were built to thrive. Now, before
we throw everything out the window and quit on the spot,
(01:35):
let's breathe, because this isn't just about walking away. It's
about walking towards something better and doing it with clarity,
not chaos. So here are four steps to start shifting
from stuck to strong. Number One, Own your truth without shame.
Stop pretending you're fine if you're not. If your drop
is draining your energy, if it's killing your creativity, or
(01:57):
if it's messing with your mental health, own it. It's
not weakness to admit that you're not in alignment. It's
self respect. And until you admit the truth don't change
the outcome. Number two is to reclaim your power. A
toxic workplace can make you feel powerless, but here's the truth.
You're not trapped. You're just afraid. You're afraid to start over.
You're afraid of failing. You're afraid of what people will think.
(02:20):
But fear isn't a sign to freeze. It's a sign
that something important is waiting on the other side. You
always have a choice. It might not be easy, but
it's there. Number three is to start the exit strategy.
You don't have to leap blindly, but you do have
to move. Start building the runway, whether that's saving money,
(02:41):
building skills, creating a side hustle, or updating your resume.
Set a timeline, have honest conversations, Start exploring what lights
you up, not just what pays the bills. Your future
deserves more than silent suffering in a job that's slowly
breaking you down. And number four is ask who do
(03:02):
I want to become? Not what do I want to do,
but who do I want to become? Because careers aren't
just tasks. There are extensions of your values, your energy,
your impact. If you want to feel alive again, start
designing a life that aligns with your identity. What do
you believe in? What kind of life do you want
(03:22):
to live? What do you want people to feel when
they work with you? Those questions lead you forward towards
something with meaning. Look, it takes courage to leave comfort,
even if that comfort is quietly killing you. But you
get one shot at this life and spending it miserable
from nine to five, just to crash and recover on weekends.
(03:44):
That's not it. You're not behind, you're not broken, You're
just being called to do more. So start walking towards it,
one brave step at a time, because the people who
build better lives are the ones who are willing to
walk away from the ones that don't fit them anymore. Now,
if you want help with this stuff, remember we've got
online programs. You head over to the Building Better Humans project.
(04:06):
You'll find the twelve week Design your Life program the
most comprehensive personal development program I've ever put together. It
is phenomenal. I'm not just saying that because I wrote it.
It's actually phenomenal. There's a twenty eight day habit builder
and mindset program. Start to get yourself involved with people
that are going to help drive you in a different
way and a different mindset. I've got one on one
mentoring available. If you hit the link in my bio
(04:27):
you'll be able to or in the show notes you'll
be able to book yourself in a session. Let's see
where we go. I work with ten clients a year
at any one time, and people start and stop at
all different times of the year, So we could just
do a one off or maybe maybe we go into
a full twelve month program. It depends on the time,
the money, the extra commitments that you're willing to make
to change where you're at. But you don't have to
(04:48):
do this on your own.
