Hey, team Gnats are here. Welcome back to the Building
a Humans Project podcast. As always, this is your place
for inspiration, growth, and unapologetic action towards the life that
you want to live. Today's episode is short, but I
hope potent a straight shot of mental fuel. I want
to talk about something that every growth minded human experiences
on the path to leveling up, and it's this quote.

(00:32):
Every time you level up, your old life will try
to call you back. Don't answer. Let that settle for
a second. See, growth isn't just about stepping into something new,
it's also about shedding something old. Every time you commit
to becoming better, stronger, clearer, more focused your past habits,
past people, past limitations, they'll come knocking, and not always

(00:57):
in obvious ways. It might be a friend saying you've changed,
or an old comfort zone whispering come back. It's easier here. Here,
It's the truth. That old life. It's not trying to
help you, it's trying to keep you safe. Safe in
the same spot, the same story, the same struggles. The
core from your old life is always familiar, and because

(01:18):
it's familiar, it feels safe. But safe doesn't get you
to greatness. So what do you do when the old
life calls you? Let it ring? You don't pick up.
You stay focused on where you're going, not where you've been.
This is where mental toughness kicks in. This is where
self awareness and clarity become your best weapons. You've got

(01:39):
to remind yourself daily that the version of you you're
building is worth more than the comfort of who you
used to be. Leveling up means sometimes leaving things behind,
and that's not easy, but it is necessary. So here's
your challenge this week. When the old life tries to
call you back through habits, people, or doubts, don't answer. Instead,

(02:06):
do one thing every day that aligns with your next level,
that next level mindset, that next level discipline, that next
level version of you. Because growth doesn't happen by accident,
It happens when you choose not to go back, Stay strong,
stay intentional, and as always, keep building better Humans.
