Em entrevista ao Café com Política, o porta-voz nacional da Rede Sustentabilidade, Paulo Lamac, afirmou que deixou a Prefeitura de Belo Horizonte sem ressentimentos e negou qualquer crise entre os grupos de Fuad Noman e Álvaro Damião (União). Segundo ele, a saída coincidiu com sua eleição à direção nacional do partido e com o momento de reformulação da nova gestão municipal.
Ex-vice de Alexandre Kalil (sem partido), Lamac afirmou ainda que o ex-prefeito "seria muito bem-vindo na Rede" e que sua candidatura ao governo de Minas em 2026 "não pode ser desconsiderada". Segundo Lamac, a Rede Sustentabilidade não planeja lançar candidatura própria ao Planalto em 2026. A expectativa , de acordo com ele, é manter a aliança com o governo Lula, como ocorre no cenário nacional atual.
Questionado sobre a federação PSOL-Rede, o porta voz afirmou que a legenda admite conversas com outros partidos para 2026. Sobre os rumores de saída da deputada estadual Ana Paula Siqueira (Rede), Lamac garantiu que ela segue até então no partido, mas reforçou que a Rede não impõe amarras a seus quadros.
