No domingo, Trump enviou 300 soldados da Guarda Nacional, braço militar autorizado a atuar dentro do país, para conter os protestos, à revelia do governador da Califórnia. Gavin Newsom reagiu solicitando formalmente ao governo Trump que recuasse da medida "ilegal" e permitisse que as autoridades locais mantivessem a ordem. O Departamento de Polícia de Los Angeles anunciou ontem à noite que todo o centro de Los Angeles foi "declarado área de reunião ilegal".
