Uma decisão judicial paralisou em grande parte a guerra comercial deflagrada pelo presidente dos Estados Unidos, Donald Trump. O entendimento é de que o presidente extrapolou seu poder ao anunciar tarifas comerciais generalizadas sobre produtos importados, em particular da China, do Canadá e do México, impactando desde grandes empresas até cidadãos comuns. Foram mantidas, porém, as taxações de 25% para carros, autopeças, aço e alumínio, estabelecidas com base em uma lei diferente da usada por Trump como justificativa para o tarifaço. A expectativa é de que o caso, como diversas outras decisões judiciais contra ações do presidente, chegue à Suprema Corte.
