After an eventful Saturday wrapping up the Cup Carnival, Chris and Charlie share a quick review before diving into this weekend's runners.

Starting at Caulfield, we're hoping Aeliana can make it three Group 1 Thousand Guineas in a row, following in the footsteps of two stable stars, Madamme Pommery and Joliestar, who won in previous years.

Then it’s up to Newcastle for a big day of racing and Charlie is looking to make it two in a row with For Victory his pick in 'Through Charlie's Eyes'.

We also will review some of the weekend runners just gone.

Didn't have a lot of clear running either. First time
up the straight. First time against the older horses. Coming
back from a mile. A lot to look forward to

Atishu was excellent on the back up. Mhm.

Proud, I was very proud. Were you proud. Yeah. Um
only beaten by Via Sistina. Um she chased hard and, uh,
she must have thought. What the hell is that in
front of me? Yeah.

S1 (00:50):
Is it a bird?

S2 (00:50):
She won it last year. Yeah. It's Via Sistinas. Yeah.
That's it. Backside. But she was good. And she won
her own Group 1 the week before anyway.

S1 (00:59):
Yeah, exactly. Exactly right. She's had her fill up. She
turns up to every dance and she does gets the
lollies are Hinged.

Yes. Winning the M atriarch.

S2 (01:09):
Yes. 18 months between drinks. Mm. But lots of Group
one placings.

Um, how do you rate it to Royal Ascot?

S1 (02:21):
Oh, it's totally different. It is different. Totally different. Different setting.
Having a day in between.

We don't have as many runners at Royal Ascot either. No,
it's a bit boring.

S1 (02:31):
That might change, though.

S2 (02:32):
Maybe. It might be a couple there.

S1 (02:34):
Might change.

Mm mm. Switzerland. Switzerland. It's good.

S1 (02:38):
Yeah. He was a fantastic. We spoke about him last
week though.

S2 (02:42):

Should have.

I'm still talking about him. His rating his rating came through.
And he might be one of the highest rated sprinting
performances this year.

S1 (02:53):
Season's only halfway through. That's right. Only halfway through. We
won't get too overexcited. Well, we're keeping someone up here. Yeah.

S2 (02:59):
And, um, there's lots of highlights. Melbourne Cup was a
bit of a stinker.

S1 (03:05):
A bit of a disaster. Never mind.

S2 (03:08):
We'll get good.

S1 (03:09):
There's always next year, isn't there? Yeah. The Sydney Cup
in between.

S2 (03:12):
They'll all draw good next year.

Like all of them? How many are you going to

And Land Legend will be one of them.

Will he? Well, you've got a year to get him
to switch off, settle. A full year. That is your challenge.

And, um. But no, it was overall a good week.

And I won my bet. J-Mac ended on 104 group 1's.

S2 (03:45):
Oh, he did too. Yep. 11 wins for the week.

S1 (03:49):
Ripping into this weekend. Hopefully he can get on 105
or Aeliana in the 1000 Guineas. You've won the last
two with Madame Pumpernickel and Joliestar. Yes, two stars of
the stable. Yep.

S2 (04:03):
They are.

S1 (04:04):
They're hard to win these for group runs. You've got
a bit of a knack with these three year old fillies,
haven't you?

S3 (04:09):
Very good.

S2 (04:09):
Good year of the three year old fillies, haven't we? Yeah. Anyhow, um,
let's hope she draws a reasonable barrier. She worked good
at the Heath this morning. Um, so. Yeah, we're on song,
ready to go.

S1 (04:23):
You also have Chrysaor there in the Sir Rupert Clarke.

S2 (04:26):
You only go if he draws. Well, Charles.

S1 (04:28):
Also in the hunter. Yep.

S2 (04:30):
Yes. Yep. So it'll be one of the two. I'd
prefer him go to Caulfield. I think he's better left handed.

S1 (04:35):
Okay, okay. Cigar Flick in the How Now Stakes. We're in.

S2 (04:40):
Terrific. First up. Second up on Saturday. She'll she'll run.

S1 (04:45):
Well Caulfield her track.

S2 (04:48):
Uh. I don't think it's a massive negative. No. Okay.

S1 (04:53):
Okay. Uh, ripping straight up to Newcastle. You have Kirkeby
in the Beaufort 2300.

S2 (04:59):
Yeah. It's a big step up for him, isn't it? But, um,
he's racing okay in Queensland. He'll come down Wednesday night.

S1 (05:06):
Althoff in the Spring Stakes for three year olds.

S2 (05:10):
Perfect race.

S1 (05:10):
Beautiful race for him, isn't it? Absolutely.

S2 (05:13):
White suits. He's a group winner. She doesn't get a
penalty like he has in a couple of his runs.
Loves the mile ready to go.

S1 (05:21):
And you have three in the 78 mile, starting with
Captain Furai.

S2 (05:25):
Knocking on the door not too far away.

S1 (05:28):
Is he a little bit under what....?

S2 (05:30):
Yes, a little bit under where he was last prep.
He might be a.

S1 (05:35):
Reason for that. Or what's the hype? Hype? A little
bit too high. Yeah, I think.

S2 (05:40):
He might appreciate a bit of given the track, which
is what he had in the Autumn. So we'll see
how he draws. He could wait a week if he
had to.

S1 (05:50):
Dazzle Legend.

S2 (05:51):
Probably similar to Captain Furai or those last start. He
hit the front and then just peaked on his run.
So he's ready to peak on Saturday. For Victory. Good.

Might be the pick of the three.

S1 (06:07):
He's your winner. Pippie Beach in the 78 14 fillies
and mares.

S2 (06:11):
I think she's going well. Yeah. She'll appreciate the extra 100m.
Might not sound a lot, but I think a well
timed run over 1400 would be what she's looking for.
And Zakiya, she's going ok too.

S1 (06:25):
Need to relax though.

S2 (06:26):
Doesn't she? Yeah, but there was no speed the other day.
No pace, but more pace. And she will relax. And
she worked very, very well this morning, Charlie.

S1 (06:34):

S1 (06:49):
Um, yeah. We're going to win a Group one at Cauflied.

S2 (06:51):

Yeah. Don't worry about them yet. Got bigger fish to fry.

S2 (06:58):
I thought they might start a bit before everybody else.

S1 (07:01):
No, you've got to rest your players. Don't you like
