This week's show is a rather sombre edition, following the passing of Riff Rocket.
Our thoughts are with the Kepitis family and everyone who had the privilege of working with and supporting him throughout his career.
Chris and Charlie begin the preview reflecting on Riff Rocket, they review the weekend that was, before discussing the stable runners at Randwick and Caulfield where the Group 1 Underwood Stakes will be run.

weekly Waller review and preview show. Obviously, we come with
some sad news of the passing of the mighty Riff Rocket.

Um, yes. It was a tough week. Um, had a
colic surgery seven days ago. Was coming through it pretty well.
It's never easy, and you never get too far ahead
of yourselves. It's only one way of the colic or
two ways of the colic surgery. It's good or bad.
And unfortunately, we're talking about bad news today. Uh. Great horse. Um,

three time Group one winner. Just in a small handful
of race starts. Uh, Victorian Derby. Both derbies. Our first
Australian Derby. Meant a lot to the whole family. Not
just the Kepitis family who owned it and cherished it
and loved the horse and family.

Coolmore raised him.

Yeah. Um, our team all around Australia were touched by him. George,
who strapped him in Sydney Del in Melbourne. Jo from Melbourne who's
now in Dubai. Dubai. Lizzy. Stuart and all the team
just touches everybody. So tough. Yeah, but, um, everyone did

the best they could for him and yeah.

Gone but not.

Forgotten. Certainly not. He's touched our hearts. He was a
tough bugger. Tough? Absolutely.

Where the couple missed the mark.

Yeah. Of the weekend. Well, Switzerland.
S2 (01:46):
Well,Riff puts it in perspective, doesn't it? Switzerland missed the target.
He was a he's a Colt. He's very fresh. Um,
he raced keenly. Um, it just didn't work out. And
I think he's pulled it. out what I think. I
know he's pulled up a little bit sore. He's got
a cut and there's one of his legs. Um, so

we'll probably be forced to miss the Golden Rose, but
probably a good thing. Just get back on track. And, uh.
My word. Roman Consul into the Coolmore. Okay. Four weeks,
three weeks. Good horse.

So don't forget him. Do not forget him. No. Via Sistina.
S2 (02:26):
Um, tricky. Yeah. It was six seasons in one day
at Flemington, and, um. And you only.
S1 (02:32):
Got there at midday if you were there from seventh.
What a crazy place.

And, um. Look, I know she ran second in the
Champion Stakes and on Champions Day, uh, at Ascot, but, um,
I think she handled it. James said she was never
really comfortable, couldn't quicken it, sustained her momentum in the straight,
not as if she sprinted and got tired. She actually
couldn't go in it. Interesting and Joliestar . You we're going to

We'll get all the bad news out of the way.
She's fine. So that's the bad news. The other way. She's.
There's nothing wrong with her. Um, I just.

She was. Look, our instructions to Kerrin was to be
quiet early, set her up for a good second half,
which is how she races. Um, he's gone across to
find a spot, and all of a sudden, the leaders
et in front, and we're just. The race has got
away from her. It was basically run in single file.

We were out sort of two, two and a half wide.
You might as well call it three wide. No cover.
It wasn't anyone's fault, but made it tough. That 1200 metres? Yeah.
Keep turning. She just keeps turning. Although hers was a
bit further. I know it was 200. Yeah, 12. So
you just never had a chance to breathe travel, and, um.

She'll be fine. She's bounced out of it. She'll be
ready to go in the Golden Pendant and hopefully onto Everest.

We know she goes well. fresh. So right. Whilst all
that was happening, we were having an absolute blast with
all the other runners. Yeah, old Unusual Legacy romped home.

Jeez, maybe it made you thirsty, didn't it? That much anyway.

Muollo thinks he'll stay. He's a good judge of a horse. Uh,
there's a bit of bit of stamina, and the pedigree.

It would. They've been with me a long time, Tony, and.

at Flemington with Chrysaor . Yeah.

Craig Newitt in the saddle. Blast from the past. He's
won a metro for us. And, um. Yeah, he was.
He took him back and went round them and won them.
He did, didn't he? It's great to see.

Them anyway, leading into this weekend. We've got a ripping
line up of horses likely to have just two. Could
potentially have more if it was a small field. Yeah.

So we're doing the, um, doing the show before the acceptances. Um,
but that's I think it'll be gotcha. And Fanny. Yeah.
Zougotcha was brilliant beat Fangirl last night.
S1 (06:59):
Yeah. And no fear to contend with this time. Well,
Tommy will only have to look one way, won't he?

So, anyway, um, uh, both horses have worked very well.
You can't separate them.

the leader of the pack would be Autumn glow.

Yes, she's trained on well. 1400 metres should suit. She
faces some different horses, though. Um, the two horses that
have quinella. Both the legs of the Princess Series so
far are in it. So we have to beat them
and others. But Autumn Glow is very well. She should
