How to Stop Overthinking with Dr Ali Walker

I’m really excited to bring you this episode because I am a CLASSIC overthinker… let’s say a ‘recovering’ otherthinker… which we all know is the enemy of confidence.

Dr Ali Walker, who’s a human connection scientist, has written a fascinating book called Get Conscious. She’s done a TED talk about the same thing, she lectures at the UNSW and she has some answers for getting out of your own head. 

Ali started her career as a criminal lawyer, realised it most definitely wasn’t for her, and now coaches and immerses herself into researching why us humans do the things we do. Our personality patterns, why we chase ‘happiness’ to our detriment, and she shares a transformational strategy for fighting the fear of getting out of our comfort zones. 

“And then when you get a feeling, ok, it’s in my stomach, try to get an image for that feeling.”
